I have been a PF member for 4 years, 2 of them at the Red Mill location. While PF (in general) tends to draw in a mix of customers - some dedicated to wellness, others who are more interested in an instagram post than a work out - If the laid back, no frills, affordable gym experience works for you, then you will be pleased with this gym. This is a fairly new location with newer equipment, clean facilities, and friendly & accommodating staff. If you go frequently, the employees make an effort to know you. I utilize their personal trainer and feel like I get more than I pay for here.

I am from Pennsylvania so I use my Black Card status when traveling. The Virginia location that was closest to me when I was vacationing was very clean, the water filter was good (unlike most locations in PA), and the staff were courteous.

Love the whole lay out, cleanliness, and modernized approach with everything. Out of all the Planet Fitness locations that I have been to throughout the country since i travel a lot, this is the first two story to ever encounter and I love it.
Only bad thing I will say is the workers should keep an eye on the paper towel dispensers for when they run out.

The staff is always helpful and friendly. If they are not upfront you can call the walkie talkie and they help you immediately. It’s always clean and the arrangement of equipment is great, I love this facility!

Been to all the planet fitness' from hampton roads, portsmouth, norfolk, and va beach. This is by far the best gym i've been to. I will travel out of my way to come to this one.
The showers are nice and spacious & always clean. There was equipment i've never seen before at this gym. The over night worker is wonderful! Pleaseeeee pleaseeeee pleaseeee change your hours to 24 hours. I hate going to the other gyms on the weekend nights! Other than that, wonderful gym!

Love the place it’s the only planet fitness near me and I have been going since it opened. My single issue that makes it a 4 star is the fact that the hours do not accommodate for certain schedules as well as other planet fitnesses. I work a late shift and I believe that more 24 hour days at this planet fitness would be appreciated. Other than that I can’t wait for the new machines that planet fitness is releasing like the hack squat and incline Hammer press comes to this location.

I really love this location! A friend told me I needed to check it out and so glad I did. The facility is always so clean and never feels crowded. The staff is very welcoming and friendly- special shout out for Xena (Zena?), who was an absolute day saver. I managed to lose my keys and she patiently went from machine to machine to look carefully around and under them and then in a total show of helpfulness, peeked into a garbage can and unbelievably- found them in it. I'm guessing I accidentally dropped them when I was tossing paper towels. That level of customer service is incredible, and I really appreciate it!

I travel for a living. I base my life around these gyms. I've been in them all over the country. From Nashville to Montana, Tempe to Tacoma. VA beach planet fitness is the cleanest and best staffed. Once I lost my phone and could remember my way home so I stopped by PF and they gave me directions. I don't recall her name but she has red hair and many tattoos. Also it's never stupid crowded and if it is people are super Kool. I dig it and I get results.

I recently joined the new Planet Fitness (Redmill) and thus far it has been a great experience. This is a new location that is both clean and uncrowded. The staff have been nice and helpful. My son and I took an upper body class with Carter, who did a great job showing us proper form and technique.
