I only have great things to say about Row House Fairfax. The coaches are amazing and were very welcoming when I first started. It’s been over 8 years since I’ve rowed and Row house has sparked the passion for the sport I had again. Highly recommend!

Took the "1st class is free" offer thinking it would be boring and I wouldn't be back, but since it was free, why not? I ended up hooked that 1st class and signed up for unlimited classes the same day. The energy of Row House's classes has really lifted my spirits in the short time I have been a member.

This review is not a reflection of the class or coaches. They all deserve 5 stars. I moved out of the area, and forgot to cancel my membership. I paid for 8 months of rowhouse that I wasn’t using. No big deal, that’s my dumb mistake. But then, the card I had on file for autopay was stolen, so I replaced my card. As a result, my autopay was disrupted. What happened next was 7 calls a day from rowhouse. Followed by nightly emails. When I explained that I hadn’t been in class for 8 months and please just cancel my account, I was told I needed to pay for all months up to the date of that correspondence. Again, NBD. But come on, I’ve paid for 8 months while not using and you couldn’t just call it even? So I paid the last amount of money they eeked from my paws, but I still get nightly calls asking about payment. Oy. Please let it end.

After I ignore their spam texts for a while, they somehow got even weirder. They went as far as addressing me as their "love". I wish I was kidding haha.

I live near Row House, but I never considered signing up until I saw one of the coaches always coming into Whole Foods wearing their Row House swag and felt that I should give it a shot. I have rowed since I was in my teens but I hate rowing. I only love the results. I thought I would hate Row House, too, because it's expensive and similar to spin class. Turns out I love it and I work out much harder than I do when I row solo. There's a collective aspect to stay in swing which I didn't realize before signing up. I would start with the twice a week plan to give your body time to adapt before moving to the unlimited plan. It took months for me to fix my bad form and build the lower back muscles and endurance to then attend and not be in pain afterwards. I have used both plans, but find I am working out harder with the limited plan.

The attendees are pretty evenly split between men and women and diehards and casuals, but probably leans more toward casuals and people trying to get into a fitness routine.

Some of the coaches clearly love rowing. Ethan is high energy and passionate about rowing. He, Marvin, JD, and Cath are all really good rowers.

This place is so cool. You go for yourself, but become part of a community. Everyone there is so positive and friendly, and I always feel great when I walk out the door. The workouts are fun, and just the right amount of challenging. Wish I had discovered this place sooner!

Truly the best environment with the most supportive coaches! Pre-Covid I had tried just about everything to get moving again, and decided to try RowHouse when they re-opened during the pandemic and it has become a daily part of my routine.

I've been a member of Row House since the studio opened. I have to say that if you haven't tried it, you're missing out! If you're looking for a low impact, but productive workout - come try it out! The coaches are amazing - Jonathan's classes offer an awesome challenge, Ethan's energy is contagious and he makes you laugh while working hard, and Marvin has alllll the vibes! Did I mention the staff is outstanding when it comes to customer service?

This workout, and especially the Fairfax “House”, is amazing. No two workouts are the same. You get something different every time. The coaches are so enthusiastic and encouraging. I try to get everyone to try it out. Shout out to my favorites, Ethan and Garrett! But ALL coaches are AMAZING.

I love this place! I used to loathe working out, but they bump jams and turn the lights down low so you’re really just focusing on getting work done at your own effort level. Combined with other lifestyle changes, I’ve lost 60 pounds, and I really attribute a lot of it to Row House because they make working out so fun! The coaches are excellent—Juliana with her motivation and powerful leg drive, Marvin blasts the music and radiates positivity, Jessica is a meter monster, Cath pushes you hard and to row pretty, JD teaches you how to farm watts…and the sense of community here is great! If you’re motivated by data and seeing quantifiable results, plus you want to vibe with some awesome folks, I highly recommend it! You get a free intro class to check it out

I've been going to this location every week since they opened in Nov. Before that, I'd been talking to LeighAnne since March.

These workouts are just what I needed for my knees to improve my range of motion and strength without impact.

The instructors are great. They're knowledgeable and help you adjust any workout as needed. Each has their own way of doing the signature class (rowing and floorwork). There are also other classes depending on what you're seeking.

On top of all this, the owners take COVID precautions seriously. Everyone wears masks going in/out. Class sizes are reduced to increase distances between ergs. Users wipe down surfaces they touched after class. Then they use the industrial disinfectant sprayer on the equipment and surfaces as well between classes. Lastly, they use 100% fresh air supply in the HVAC instead of recycled air.

I really enjoy going here and feel comfortable doing so. Definitely suggest this location to others.

I took a class Sunday 10/11 at 10:30 am. Upon arrival, staff took my temperature and lead me to my "erg". From there I received an overview on how to row and positioning. Flash forward to class, the instructor was very knowledgeable and she had made sure to remind us it would take some time to feel comfortable on our machines. High energy class overall. Post class, the instructor made time to chat and I was able to meet the owners. The owners stated that they were still working on a few things but I am not sure what those would be since the class went smoothly. I do wish there would of been more floor work but the instructor told me after they open there would be other class options. Very pleased and told everyone to check this out.

Edited to Add: I couldn't find the instructors name but I would recommend her as well.
