It’s been a joy beginning my yoga practice at this studio. The instructors create a warm, welcoming environment and provide a strong foundation for anyone looking to deepen their practice. The unlimited membership was a great deal when I was able to attend consistently, and I’d definitely do it again if I had the time. Highly recommend this studio to anyone starting or returning to yoga!

I can't say enough good things about Soma. I've been to several yoga studios over the last decade and none capture the same magic that Sarah has created in this space. This is not just a yoga studio; it's a community where I feel supported, safe, and inspired. The variety of classes and special programs mean there's always something new to learn and every teacher I've practiced with seems to be an expert in pacing and guiding people of all levels through the poses. There's a huge difference between taking a yoga class at a gym or big chain versus a yoga center like Soma. If you are looking to bring tranquility, movement and inspiration to your life - to not just DO yoga but to LIVE it - this is the place. I have been attending classes for more than a year now and couldn't be more thrilled with the experiences I've had and the peace I've gained. ❤️

I’ve been coming to Soma for about a year, and it’s a wonderful place to practice. The studio has a real sense of community and stays true to the traditional roots of yoga, not just the physical poses. Classes attract people of all ages, shapes, and backgrounds, and everyone feels welcome. Soma also hosts fun gatherings like potlucks and celebrations that even my young daughter has attended and enjoyed. The owner is one of the kindest and most genuine small business owners I’ve met, always kind, thoughtful, and responsive. I’ve never had a teacher or a class I didn’t like at Soma.

Soma Yoga was recommended by someone in my building and I am so glad I joined. Sarah and Joy are amazing instructors, very clear instructions with a sense of humor. They make you feel part of their community. Recently Yin and Sound class was added with Codie on Fridays which is the perfect class to end the week with. I fully understand why the studio has a five star review and highly recommend.

Soma Yoga is conveniently next to the Huntington Metro Station. I finally made time to drop into a class, and found the offerings to be very much the kind of yoga, mindfulness, and good-living that I needed! I'm regularly think to myself that I'm thankful that this studio opened so close to home.

Some of the classes that I cannot recommend enough:

- Deep Stretch (Tuesday PM): after my first session, my hips felt loose for the first time in months (literally). What a great find!

- Restorative Yoga & Guided Meditation (Sunday PM): love, love, love this send off into the coming week! It's not a fitness-yoga class, but rather a health-and-wellness class.

Beyond regularly scheduled classes, there are workshops. I have enjoyed every workshop I've attended and I've learned a lot of applicable knowledge and skills!

Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned yogi, there’s something here for everyone. Sarah, the owner and lead teacher, is incredibly knowledgeable in the practice and always makes you feel welcome. Her classes strike a perfect balance between the physical practice and the mindful experience. I attended her meditation retreat and still use those lessons daily.

If you’re looking to explore both the physical and spiritual sides of yoga, this is the place to be!

I could see why this place got 5 stars overall! I joined last week and couldn't be happier. I was feeling like I needed to do more physically to build up my strength. I've had classes with Sarah, Joy & Courtney - all of whom I really enjoy as they're so welcoming and kind. Also, their guidance through the yoga/deep stretching classes are clear and easy to follow. The other members are also friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend this place.

Soma is so much more than just an hour of yoga—it’s a warm, vibrant community of people of all ages and at every stage of their practice. The Soma practitioners are welcoming and personable, always ready to share their knowledge and wisdom of this transformative practice. As someone who is typically a little shy and self-conscious about my yoga skills (or lack thereof), I greatly appreciate how they take the time to guide and educate in a way that feels gentle yet empowering.

I absolutely love Soma’s workshops and community events—women’s circles, breathwork, Ayurveda, cacao, sound baths—the list goes on, each one informative and uplifting. I’ve learned so much here in this small-but-mighty community. Highly recommend!

I first met Sarah when she was teaching her monthly yoga class at Mount Purrnon Cat Cafe. I was new to yoga and she made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. I decided to try out classes at her studio and was all around happy with the experience. The studio location is convenient for me and the pricing is so reasonable. The atmosphere is again, so welcoming, and not intimidating at all for someone new to yoga or new to the studio. Sarah is kind and makes you feel supported and empowered. I also enjoy Jeff and Joy's classes. They offer a variety of informative workshops and community events as well. Highly recommend checking Soma Yoga out!

Soma Yoga is absolutely wonderful. The owner, Sarah, is hands down one of the best instructors I've ever had, and I've been practicing for over 20 years. The studio offer a variety of classes, teachers are very supportive and provide modifications for all levels. I love the sense of community in this studio too. If you're new to the area and looking to meet nice people, this is the place for you. I've attended numerous fabulous workshops at the studio, which offered me a unique opportunity to explore different aspects of yoga. I always look forward to coming here!

Sarah is an amazing and nurturing teacher and owner with many years of in-depth training to share with us. I love that she has longer focused workshops as well as regular 1-hour classes since I can’t always make the classes, but love the deep-dive workshops and can’t find similar in the area. The community is also nurturing and welcoming. Soma is really a hidden gem - don’t let the fact that it’s in a shared building deter you.

Soma Yoga is a wonderful. Sarah takes the time to go around and correct form while in class and modifies the class based on how many clients are there which makes her studio stand out. Sarah really cares about creating a studio that meets the needs of her clients and it shows. I can't wait to go back for more classes.

I've been doing a lot of more fast-paced and hot yoga classes in the area, and I decided to try Soma on a bit of a whim. I'm SO glad I did. I took the Mindful Flow class and there is just something completely restorative about the practice here. I appreciated the slower (yet still challenging) pace, and the sound bath at the end was incredibly relaxing. Don't sleep on this place (but maybe sleep at it during Savasana 😉).

Sarah is an amazing teacher and takes time with all students to help them learn proper technique so that their yoga practices can be strong and suited just to where their body is. This is a studio where kindness is the cornerstone, not competition or pushing beyond your limits. My back and strength have increased measurably over the last six months and her reasonable prices make regular yoga possible!

I love Soma Yoga! I hadn't been to a yoga class since 2019 and started taking the Wednesday morning Foundational class in March. 3 months later I see so much more flexibility in my hips and shoulders (my problem areas) Sarah is an excellent instructor and "knows her stuff" (I have had many in my 60 years) In today's class she showed us the proper way to do 3 poses and carefully explained how improperly doing them ads unnecessary tension to the wrists or other areas. Doing them properly is easier on the body and more beneficial. The group is usually women but when men attend they feel welcome too. Nice decor and there is a calming vibe with a mix of ages in the Wednesday morning foundation class (but most are over 50). Sarah has a soft voice and even though I have some hearing loss from tinnitus, I can still hear her because the room is small and she speaks up. Class size is usually under 6 people so you often get individual attention. I highly recommend Sarah and Soma Yoga. I am also happy that the studio is located outside of Old Town (in the Huntington area) with easy FREE parking (a parking lot). A huge plus! Give it a try, you will not regret it (and your hips will love you :-)

Soma Yoga healing center is truly a healing space. I attended a pranayama workshop with a friend and it was incredibly informative and enlightening. It was only a 90-minute class but I think we could’ve been there twice as long with as much information and knowledge that Sarah shared with us. The space is in an office building but is transformed once you enter and the calming vibes wash over you. Easy to find and great parking too which always helps with stress level getting to class! Thank you Sarah for a wonderful class and see you soon. Highly recommend!

I’m so happy I stumbled on this studio back in December when it first opened. I had just moved to the area and was looking for ways to get through the winter. I’m a longtime yogi and happy to be back actively practicing again. The studio is in a great location and Sarah is a very kind and knowledgeable teacher. She goes above and beyond to make the space serene and inviting. Thanks to Sarah for choosing this community as the home for your studio!

We recently began attending classes at Soma Yoga Healing Center, which opened in January 2024, and I can't say enough good things about it! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and positivity. The atmosphere, though a small studio, is calming and immediately puts you at ease.

What truly sets Soma Wellness apart, however, is the wonderful instructor. Not only is Sarah incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but her warmth and enthusiasm are contagious. She creates a welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable and supported, regardless of their level of experience.

One thing I particularly appreciated were the other class participants. Instead of feeling intimidating or judgmental, it feels like a community of like-minded individuals who are all there to support each other on their yoga journey.

Also, there's not a better priced studio in the area! So far, I've left each class feeling rejuvenated, centered, and grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this adorable studio.

I have done yoga for exercise before, but the classes at Soma Yoga are WAY more than that. I've been taking classes with Sarah for the past year and love getting to come together in the new space — Soma Yoga. Sarah's approach is very holistic—she addresses mind, body, and spirit in all her classes but in such a fun, engaging way it's always a surprise to me when class is over. I've done yoga for years but Sarah may be the best teacher I've ever had. Working with her I've relearned poses and flows from the ground up in ways that have taken my practice next level. I came to classes following knee surgery and Sarah gave me the individual attention I needed to adapt and keep getting stronger.

Also, unlike a lot of yoga teachers I've learned from, Sarah infuses classes with joy, laughter, and kindness. I always leave feeling inspired, grounded, and strong.

I have taken two classes with Sarah (including the pop up class in Old Town) and both were wonderful. It's such a low pressure, welcoming space that she creates. I am recovering from a broken ankle and getting back to yoga was intimidating but I felt so safe in her class. I have also been to one of the Moon Circles which left me feeling so empowered! I was able to peek into the studio space today as I was leaving Fusion PT and it's absolutely beautiful with the flooring and murals, I'm so excited for classes in that space next month!

Soma Yoga has its beginnings with Sarah (the owner) who envisioned a safe space for anyone to come join in the practice of yoga and it truly is a welcoming and inclusive space for all. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced yogi there is a class and a community here for you, along with clinics and workshops that will help you find peace and harmony in your life. I have made many friends through the women’s moon circle and experienced great joy celebrating being a women with them as well as flowing through my breathing and movement in one of Sarah’s many yoga classes. If you’re in the area and looking for a wonderful experience to soothe and refresh your mind, body and spirit I highly recommend Soma Yoga!

Sarah is a wonderful teacher! I’ve joined a few of her different classes and have had such a positive experience. I don’t have much experience with yoga and would definitely call myself a beginner. The classes I’ve joined have been very easy to follow along with and weren’t intimidating at all! Sarah is always such a kind person and knows everyone isn’t at the same level - she goes through different alternatives to poses and movements so everyone can participate and work up to what is comfortable for each person. It’s been really fun getting more comfortable in my yoga journey and learning more about the practice as well. 😊
