Please do not waste your time bringing your kid here. We have had a horrible experience. To start with they don't teach them anything. They have music on and they read from a paper as the class goes on. There is no interaction with the kids. The turnover of the instructors in horrible. They last only about 15 days. Also, the place is falling apart. Everything is broken and dirty. The worst thing of all is the manager. He does not admit anything or apologizes for anything. Terrible place!

In my opinion, this place is completely unsanitary for children due to their no sock or stockings requirement “due to safety & insurance”. It is asinine and a lack of logical thinking for public safety regarding germs. Was told my toddler could not wear her stockings that were under her gymnastics dress, therefore had to remove them. The bathroom was disgusting b/c it had a menstrual cycle stain in the toilet, and toilet paper everywhere on the floor. Again, the no sock requirement has me flabbergasted with RSV, Flu, COVID-19, hand foot and mouth, all and other viral infections going around. The staff except Ella were totally unprofessional as well. Wouldn’t recommend this business. We’ve experienced better. It is a 0/10 rating.

We love the little gym at Huntley Meadows. The Little Gym curriculum is really great the ib way it incorporates music and social emotional education into developmentally appropriate gymnastics classes. In addition to the great content, the staff at Huntley Meadows is amazing. Mr Rob is engaging and encouraging to all the students and has a kind and respectful way of managing toddlers' emotions. His staff is skillful and takes the time to get to know the kids. My two year old is always excited to go to "basics".

My daughter is a confident explorer who has certainly been challenged, has learned, and grown thanks to the classes she attends. And she loves every minute!

Safety is a top priority of staff and I have never felt nervous in that regard. The spaces are clean.The play and social interaction is unmatched. I love that ASL signs are included in class. The curriculum is very well structured and the instructors explain the reasoning behind different exercises and skills. We haven’t found any other environment like this. It is perfect for my active, social butterfly. I think every kid needs to have something like Little Gym. The earlier the better!

We would love to take this time out to thank Rob & the Little Gym Team for an incredible Birthday party for our daughter, she turned 1! The event was very stylish, and rewarding for the kids! All the children were involved in the gymnastics process. It was very engaging growing their physical, Cognitive and social development. Even the littlest ones were happy to get involved and had fun with their parents. Our birthday girl even in her beautiful party dress flipped and rolled and jumped all over the place! The staff was amazing, they served all of our guest, they helped me set up my amazing decorations. They were truly flexible with me and I am truly blessed. This Little Gym is such a GEM!! We have been coming here since our son was 12 months, he is now 3 years old and absolutely loves this place - can’t wait for his baby brother to join the fun too!! Rob the manager is just incredible with kids and he sets up a lot of awesome challenges and age appropriate activities for them. Thank you so much for having Corinne join the class last night. She had a great time and we are just trying to work out our schedule to see which class time works best.

Your staff is amazing and I really appreciated how engaged all of the children were and how caring all of your staff members are. In particular, I wanted to thank you all for your patience and kindness with Corey who is on the spectrum and struggles sometimes with social interaction.

I wanted to raise one concern about a parent who had confronted me about Corey and stated that he grabbed her child “by the neck” when she took a lego piece. She had one boy who was taking part in the class and another younger child with her. I immediately apologized to her and went to talk to Corey and even brought Corey out to apologize. I am sure other parents also witnessed this incident. The woman did not even acknowledge this and kept glaring at me and my family (including my disabled mother) throughout the rest of the session. Strangely enough, she only approached me directly about the problem rather than speaking to your staff member who was monitoring the play area.

Corey has always been raised under constant supervision and monitoring by myself, my mother, and my husband. The three of us have observed him in social settings numerous times and while he does not usually interact with other children, he has never been rough with others. Still, I gave the parent the benefit of the doubt and even came out to apologize to her and her child after speaking to Corey. She spoke about Corey as if he was a violent animal instead of a child, and she continued to glare at my family even after I had apologized profusely and even disciplined Corey about the supposed incident (which none of my family members or your staff personally witnessed).

While I acknowledge that Corey struggles with social interaction, I do not personally believe that he was rough with the other child. I understand that the behavior of one parent is not the fault of your staff, but I would like to avoid choosing the same class time as this person out of fear for Corey’s safety. I am disappointed that some have so little compassion and understanding for children who are different, but this is something we have dealt with before as parents of an autistic child.

We all had so much fun at the try out session despite this experience, and this does not in any way effect my opinion of your company. Your staff members were all wonderful and incredibly kind to everyone, and I really appreciated MacKenzie who was trying hard to have Corey participate in the class. We are planning to enroll Corinne in the class and we will have an answer for you by the end of this week when we work out our schedule. Thank you again to you and your wonderful staff, and hope you all have a great weekend!

There was a bit of a location mix up when I signed up for classes. I gave my credit card over the phone and thought I was all set to begin classes at their Capitol Hill location. Long story short, the woman I spoke with called from Huntley Meadows. I got the runaround when trying to secure a refund, the owner and the owners wife (the woman who made the error) spouted off nonsense about being franchised and were quiet rude about it. I never received an apology and they couldn't care less that the onus of this error was on them. I only got a partial refund because they had to cover 'admin fees' on their end. It left a bad taste in my mouth.

We've been taking our just-turned-3 year old granddaughter to the Little Gym for the past 4 months and I really believe that this is the best gift we have ever given her. Our granddaughter simply can't get enough when she's there, doesn't want to leave and has the time of her life every week. The program is focused on developing children in many ways, but to them, it's all fun. There are numerous new things to do each week, music, laughter, challenges, learning to share and be part of a group along with is lots of love and sensitivity to the needs of each child and gentle encouragement. Many of the children in these classes have been coming here since they were babies, but she was able to blend right in within a few weeks. At the end of each class, the instructor, for her, mostly Mr. Rob, goes over the various activities the children have completed and makes suggestions for things they can work on during the week.

My 14 month old daughter has been taking classes here since she was 5 months old. She has a blast every week and I am so happy to be able to help her learn and grow. We held our son's second birthday at TLG of Huntley Meadows and had a great experience! We had about 15 two-year-olds, which is a fun but crazy age group to manage. Mr. Rob helped to create activities but also supported the kids exploring on their own and enjoying the gym. The kids had a lot of fun and we enjoyed pretty much showing up and celebrating. They even gave my son a card and a sweet little book that he loves. We only did cake, but they parter with the local paisanos if we had wanted to do more. We would absolutely recommend the location for parties!

I absolutely love TLG. My daughter enjoys going so much. The teachers are amazing. They are very encouraging to my daughter! We’ve gone through two different gyms in other states and I’ve never seen one like this. The teachers are very encouraging and push her to test her limits but not in a way that’s scary for my daughter. They are very perceptive to her body language and have never made her do anything she’s not ready to do. I love the teachers! I can’t say it enough.

We are new members here and decided to have my daughter’s third birthday here. It was exceptional! We had about 14 kids total and about 40 adults and it was a blast. You can choose to have them provide all the paper products, but we had a troll theme so we decided to do our own and our own decorations. The kids get a whole hour in the gym with different activities and they have an inflated bouncer at the end for the kids which was awesome. You get 30 minutes for the food and cake. We decided to not open gifts and do it at home which seemed to be just fine with the adults. We decided to order pizza from Paisanos (which they offer a discount on for parties) and just had two liter sodas for everyone. They helped set up the table, all the decorations, candles on the cake, etc. Only piece of advice I could give it to have big paper plates for the adults and plastic spoons and forks- there were only small plates for the adults and we had pizza. We had ice cream but only forks. Otherwise, they really do everything for you so we can enjoy the party! I had so many parents tell me how impressed they were with the party and all the kids had a blast. It was really worth every penny for us to see how happy our daughter was. I appreciate how invested the instructors are in each child doing what's best for him or her each week. I like that the children are not forced to try anything they're not ready for. My daughter and I both love the music (she asks for me to sing the songs at home!). I also like how the equipment is set up differently each week so the children are challenged with new things but also given familiar surroundings. I'm not sure my daughter will be a serious gymnast, but she has a lot of fun and always looks forward to going to The Little Gym. That's a 10/10 for an almost-3-year-old!

We started coming to The Little Gym in June 2015. I wanted to try it out after we had done a swim class that seemed too overwhelming for our little one. He always was looking around and more interested in the things around him. At The Little Gym he is able to not only do things he wants, on his terms, but he is also getting that structure he needs too. We love coming every week. His face lights up every time we get to class. I don't see us ending our membership anytime soon.

The classes at this Little Gym on Telegraph Road are very well organized. I took my son for an introductory class and he simply loved it and we had a hard time getting him out of there. The instructor who was also the director of the center was really good and he engaged the kids really well in fun activities.

However I am disappointed with the way they organized my son's second birthday. I felt the whole event was disorganized.
1. Firstly the lady inside the gym room with the kids was not engaging them enough into group activities like they do in the class. She didn't seem as enthusiastic as the person who took the introductory class. However I must admit that kids still ended up having fun doing their own thing.
2. I was expecting to have the cake on a table where the birthday boy and the parent could stand and cut the cake first before everyone sat down to eat. May be this is something we should have communicated they do.
I was surprised by their plan to cut the cake for the kid and serve it to the kids. How can you not have a birthday boy blow his candle and cut the cake with the parents! That was really disappointing.
I understand you keep the knife away from kids but parents are there to help and that is why you have a cake table normally where its cut away from where kids eat.
It is a learning for us to make sure to tell the gym about how we want the sequence of events to happen in the party room.

3. The food was kept in different locations with cookies and pizza in one corner and rest of the stuff in another corner. They could have got a bigger table or made some arrangements to get all food in one location.

4. Cutlery was brought by us but they forgot to put it out with the food until we remembered and told them.

5. They ran out of lemon juice early in the party and did not bother to refill it until we told them too.

6. There were two people in the party room and easily they could have handled serving food and serving cake separately but it didn't work that ways.

7. Last but not the least, they had mentioned birthday boy will get a b'day Tee or some sort of a goody bag from the gym, which they forgot and I had to ask for it in the end and finally get one of the guys there to pull out a Tee for my son. Something the gym should have given to the birthday boy without us reminding.

Overall feedback - Excellent for class but fair for parties.

I just returned from the one thing I usually hate. a Birthdayparty of a child which is not my own. I come from a different celebratory culture and so I just have to deal with it. This place was REALLY far out there as we had to come all teh way from Arlington, but I left with their flyer for booking Bday parties in my purse.

From the moment we arrived the staff was awesome: attentive Child foccused but not avoiding the accompanying adult. The gym itself has a large window pane and there is a row of chair (adult sized) so you can watch your kid having the most fun ever.

the hour or so activities in the Gym, where the kids were managed lovely and lovingly by two dedicated young ladies was never boring, quite challenging and definitely a blast.
They held the kid's attention the entire time. then moving over to teh party room where a table was set up with attention to detail and all the presents displayed on one huge table. Then - again - the awesome staff, served the children at the table. and when the kid's all had tehir cake the staff asked around if any of teh parents would like some. They had also offered us Water while we were looking at our kids having fun.

Everything was smoothly run. everybody was paying attention ..When I inquied the guy said: we do everything: the parents are responsible for two thiings only Cake and kids, we even send out invitation and take care of the paperware...

so..while it isn't cheap, this may make me reconsider never having my kids have a party outside the home...
