Master Ma is the BEST of the best. He is an expert at his craft, he’s humble, wise and truly loves what he does. Master Ma has really made an impact on my daughter and our family. She is so inspired and motivated and looks forward to every class. The studio is beautiful, immaculate and well equipped. So grateful for Master Ma and this TKD community. Highly recommend for those looking for quality martial arts training. If you’re trying to decide whether or not to join, trust… this is it! 10/10

We introduced Taekwondo to our kids for them to learn Korean culture because they are half Koreans. We thought it is a good skill to learn how to count 1-10 in Korean, learn how to bow, and show respects to everyone. Now, Taekwondo is not just a kid activity but a crucial commitment for the whole family. Today, we finally became a Taekwondo Blackbelt family. I would like to thank Master Ma for helping not just me getting this amazing blackbelt but my whole family; my husband Kevin, and Son Kevin and Kwon. Kevin started his first lesson when he was three and now he is 12. Tiger USA Taekwondo is Kevin’s third Taekwondo School because it took many trials to find the Taekwondo we wanted. Today Kevin is testing for his third degree Blackbelt. During pandemic, our family faced many obstacles such as health issues for both my husband and myself, a new job for me and a new school for kids. I am so grateful in that Master Ma motivated us not to give up no matter what. During our hard times, he accommodated our needs and provided extra trainings whenever we could so we could continue. Throughout many years, master Ma has consulted me with any concerns or recommendations for my whole family outside the class. I do not have to mention how motivated my husband is in Taekwondo. The problem is he cannot stop Taekwondo despite he was injured and in recovery now. And Kwon still needs to learn how to respect others but I am so happy that he is more discipline now. When he just started, he would lay on the mat half of the lessons or sometimes the whole lesson. It was a miracle to see him successfully completing his first-degree black belt testing with so focused mind set. Thank you so much for helping our family to be resilient, enduring , and strong. We could not have done this without having you as our Taekwondo Master. Thank you so much for your patience, encouragement, commitment for our family to reach our goal.

Master Ma teaches a variety of skill sets, personalities and student needs yet still makes class run smoothly and helps students learn and succeed. I highly recommend this studio to people who live in Charlottesville VA. You will never regret it.

When we moved to Charlottesville we were looking for a place our son could continue Martial Arts. We eventually found Master Ma and couldn't be happier for the following reasons:
1. He genuinely cares about the growth of his students and makes sure that they all receive attention in class.
2. He is very knowledgeable and great at organizing his classes
3. His dojang is always clean
4. He is very transparent about class scheduling and provides online resources for students to improve
5. His black belt students are also skilled and great quality instructors
6. The environment is welcoming no matter your skill level.

My son transferred to Tiger USA approximately 1 year ago. My son’s prior taekwondo school unexpectedly closed; he (and I) was very nervous about finding “the right” new school. We came to Tiger USA to observe the classes. After spending only about 15 minutes around Master Ma it was obvious that he was a devoted instructor who was fully invested in bringing out the best interest and taekwondo training for each child. My son had a lot to learn -the belt system and forms were completely different. Master Ma was professional, patient, kind and encouraging. He is firm but fair and fun. He has amazing skill and talent. Master Lee recently joined Master Ma at Tiger USA. He is also skilled, a fabulous teacher and is energetic. They are wonderful mentors; my son thoroughly enjoys coming to taekwondo. In addition, the positive and respectful culture that Master Ma and Master Lee create is obvious in the higher belt rank youth. This provides wonderful examples for my elementary school aged son to see. Tiger USA has been a wonderful find for us- I highly recommend this school!!

I cannot adequately articulate what this studio has meant to our family. Master Ma and Master Lee have positively impacted the lives of all three of my kids in such profound ways. This studio is the real deal. They hold each child to a high standard of respect, focus, and dedication which allows children to cultivate real self-esteem. In this age of participation trophies and false pride, it is refreshing to see children push through challenges and strive to earn something meaningful. The lessons they learn at this studio benefit all aspects of a child’s life and wellbeing. There is a real focus on technique at this studio, too, which I love. The Masters strike a perfect balance of warmth and authority, and my children absolutely adore them. I cannot recommend this studio enough!

Such a great place! We have loved watching our son grow in his abilities and in confidence through achieving his black belt with truly world class teachers. Master Ma and Master Lee are both excellent at Taekwondo and excellent teachers - especially for younger ages. If you want some inspiration, come and see a black belt class - young and old - they are hard working, disciplined, and they enjoy being with one another. Our son has made great friends here. The place is amazing for kids and adults. The whole environment in Tiger USA World Class Taekwondo is welcoming and pleasing. Master Ma is just awesome. He is very dedicated to teaching the kids both Tae Kwon Do techniques/art and certain social and life skills. His assistant Mr. Patrick goes above and beyond to help the kids get the best of the class while enjoying their time and having fun. My son spent about 6 months and we can tell that he is benefiting with great improvement in his physical and social aspects. I strongly recommend this center for Korean martial art training and for school break camps.

This is such an amazing TaeKwonDo studio! Master Ma does an amazing job at instructing my kids not only taekwondo, but also how to be responsible, respectable and aware children. He has an amazing ability of getting them to work really hard but still have a good time. It's crazy that his studio isn't full of students all the time. We were thinking of just trying it for 2 weeks during the free trial, but his prices are fair and my kids were too excited about going the 3rd week that we couldn't just stop. Now we're 9 months in and they're still loving it! Thank you!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this school, Master MA and the staff (plus Master MA's wife).

If you want to have an incredible experience, just walk through the door and meet Master MA who just recently opened the doors to this wonderful school. Master MA has a 6th degree black belt in TaeKwonDo. Formidable under any standards. Yet, lets add two 4th degree blackbelts in other martial arts and a black belt in yet another.

Master MA is world class indeed. His ability to communicate with students of all ages is a gift. It's a delight to watch him teaching the children. He communicates to each one so that they truly understand. This communication ability carries over to adults as well.

I first inquired about classes for my 6 year old grandson. Soon, I was participating as well. I have benefited in every way from stretching tight muscles and losing 15 pounds!

My grandson loves his classes. If you happen to be in Charlottesville, VA for whatever reason, it's worth the time to come by and meet Master MA. You won't be disappointed.

I'd like to also mention that his wife, Grace and Mr. Lee (who mans the front desk / office) are a delight as well.
