Solid gym so far. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's a bit smaller especially if you're used to crowded northern Virginia gyms. It still has everything I need. Haven't had any issues, sauna works well. Gym has a nice aesthetic, sells eggs which is nice.

Yup. If you're in the market for a gym and live near this place, well, it'd just be weird to go to another gym. Honest to God. They've got all the free weights you could desire, all the machines you'd want, and the vibe in here makes you feel like "yeah, maybe I should lift up one million pounds" in a beautiful, mindless, testosterone-driven kind of way. Open 24/7 is awesome and useful for a guy like me....(Someone who marches to the beat of his own damned drum). The only thing I'd say that could be off-putting is that it's a little open concept in terms of the open gym area ---> bathroom ---> locker room. You kind of just cross a corner then venture between all these spaces across the span of a few steps. Meaning a guy taking a crap is only blocked by the stall and a corner with no walls to silence (and block the smell of his crapping). Feels a little medieval. But maybe that's the intention. Alas that's my only critique and I don't even care that much, although I probably won't be using that John anytime soon. 5/5.

I joined this gym about a month after my husband became a member and I absolutely love it. They have all the equipment I need and it is never overcrowded when I go so I don't have to fight for equipment like I do at the other gym I go to in Gainesville on my way home from work during the week. The fact that it is 24/7 access is awesome because I can still go workout on a holiday if I want to. It is very clean. The owner is very friendly and quick to make any repairs to equipment when needed. Definitely recommend to my fellow lifters.

Valley Barbell is the best gym in front royal by far! The equipment stays updated and the energy... well you can't find it anywhere else. I love the sauna and selfie room! My kids went to the summer camp and they loved it! 10/10 recommend. I hope one day to see a kids play room or child care room! Also love that they are open 24 hours a day!

I switched to this gym last summer, and I couldn’t be happier! The atmosphere is absolutely awesome—motivating and welcoming at the same time. The owner is super friendly and clearly passionate about providing a great experience for members.

The equipment is top-notch, with a great variety for all fitness levels, and they’re always adding new pieces to keep things fresh and exciting. If you’re looking for a gym with great equipment and a supportive environment, this is the place to be!

Valley Barbell is the place to be! I made a positive change to my mental and physical well-being by joining VB in August. Best decision ever! I was in the area for a couple months for work and I’ve been to gyms all over Virginia and Maryland traveling for work and by far this has been the best gym in that entire area. The owner is a very genuine person who seems to be constantly putting more money into the gym. There’s gyms who just take your money and don’t invest back in their gym. This place is phenomenal

From day one going in Valley barbell life was a little tuff. Chris was supportive from day one and made sure i was doing alright and now that life's better he's still there. He's one of the only gym owners I've ever known that from the start was out there getting new equipment for the members and making it an amazing atmosphere. One of the best gyms in the area. They are constantly adding new equipment and have just added an expansion for a dedicated powerlifting area. I recommend it to anyone I know who’s looking for a gym and am always exited to come in and see what’s new.

Membership is a great price. So thankful for this gym! I'm a mother of 3 young boys so I needed some flexibility when it came to hitting the gym. The owner is very nice, eager to see people hit their goals and succeed! You can tell he puts a lot of thought into the equipment choices. Always adding new pieces and taking out ones that don't really get used. There's also a sauna in each locker room. As well as a "Selfie" room with a large mirror and adjustable lighting, where you can go in shut the door and take your progress pics! If you're interested in becoming a member at a local gym TRY THIS ONE!

Valley Barbell really is the best in the Valley! I’ve been to a few gyms in the area between Front Royal and Winchester and Valley Barbell really raised the bar! The environment, staff and culture is unreal! Chris goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are taken care of. The layout of equipment is very organized and targets the appropriate areas! I will forever recommend and be a supporter for Valley Barbell!

Hands down my favorite place to sling some weights. All the equipment is hand-chosen, and there are even some machines you can’t find in other gyms around.
Chris is always incredibly responsive and helpful with anything you need, including even showing you how to use a machine if you need assistance.
