I took a few classes during my stay in Charlottesville and loved every single one. The instructors are amazing. Thank you, Mary, Polina and Anne β€οΈ

Wonderful school! The teachers are experienced, nurturing and give a lot of personal attention, even over zoom. I wanted to be able to take Iyengar style classes a few times a week without breaking the bank. YogaCVille offers a whole month of unlimited classes for less than the cost of five Iyengar classes here in New York. And as a New Yorker, it pains me to admit it, but their teachers are every bit as good as my teachers here. Now Iβm zooming down to Charlottesville almost every day.

The ability to take classes inthe safety and comfort of my home is powerful. The skilled, experienced teachers sharing their wisdom and talents have made this year be one of personal growth and healing. Using this time to reflect inwardly at my personal self talk and aspirations to create attainable goals. I am also available for teaching virtually hypopressive core work, back pain management and body mechanics.

I moved to town from NYC 1.5yrs ago and was so anxious to find a studio that filled the void of leaving The Iyengar Institute in NY. I quickly found this little gem of and am so grateful. Since the pandemic began in early 2020 I have a found a lovely, supportive, welcoming, intelligent and much needed network in my new town.

Yoga Cville provides high quality yoga instruction. If you are struggling with starting a practice and want to learn how to become flexible and strong without getting injured - this is an excellent place to go. If you are a yoga teacher and want to up your knowledge of the body, sequencing, instruction, and yoga philosophy - this is an amazing opportunity. The instructors are super knowledgeable! As a yoga instructor, I have learned a great deal from the instructors at this studio. I have also been honored to teach here for a number of years!! Highly recommended!

I have been practicing Iyengar yoga at Yoga Cville for 6 years. All the teachers are inspiring, highly trained, tough and nurturing, taking a personal interest in each student as we strive to deepen our practice. When COVID pandemic closed down businesses, they didn't skip a beat bringing the same dedication to classes through Zoom, still greeting you by name, preserving the community spirit. This studio took the COVID challenge of "survive" and created "thrive", regularly offering guest teachers as well as 16 classes a week. No two classes are the same so taking multiple classes a week is varied and energizing. I'm so grateful for the teachers and administrators of this extraordinary studio.

Iβve been a student here for 3+ years now and the growth has been tremendous. All of the teachers here are kind and passionate about teaching. And they are always willing to provide guidance not only in class, but also via email when you reach out. This studio has been the introduction for me to serious Iyengar yoga, and it is so friendly to beginners.
The studio also provides 1 on 1 sessions, which I find convenient and super helpful. It gives the perfect combination of practice and in-depth coaching. Give it a try!!

I live way out in the boonies, so one upside of the pandemic for me is that it has hugely increased the opportunities for online instruction. Yoga C'ville teaches primarily in the Iyengar yoga style which emphasizes proper alignment, making it less likely that you'll injure yourself along the way on your yoga journey. The teachers I've experienced have all been top notch. The online classes are very interactive, so you're definitely getting more out of them than just cueing up a Youtube video.

Since March of this year Yoga Cville has been offering classes on line via Zoom. There are 16 classes per week to choose from and, while the emphasis is on Iyengar Yoga, other types are offered too including Yin Yoga and specialty subjects. All the teachers are well trained and have mastered the medium; they all seem comfortable with Zoom teaching.
One feature I love is, if a student is a subscriber (as opposed to dropping in), she/he can request recordings of any class missed. Recordings are available for a limited time, which is an incentive to take the class rather than just think about it! Great for a procrastinator like me :)
Give Yoga Cville a try, you might like it! Prices are competitive and modest. Check it out!

From day one 11 years ago Yoga Cville has been a fixture in my life. Teachers and students were warm and welcoming to me, a newcomer to Yoga. All the teachers I have encountered at the studio are exceptionally well trained to work with a wide variety of student needs in positive and encouraging ways. When Covid-19 lockdown became a reality, Yoga Cville owners and teachers quickly pivoted to online classes keeping our Yoga community connected and learning.

I'm a longtime student of Iyengar yoga at Yoga Cville. I attended one class a week after recovering from a back injury and always received excellent advice on keeping my back safe.
Since the pandemic I've been taking more zoom classes at home and it has saved my sanity.
The teachers are highly trained and the classes are excellent. They even had a home practice series prior to the pandemic.
I consider these classes an investment in health and happiness.
