My son goes here for kids yoga and he had an amazing experience every week. Abigail Power runs a great class that keeps him engaged and active for a solid hour...and I get a solid hour of quiet in the lobby.

For adults..I am sure it's a great experience, the studio offers several classes for people who like yoga and the instructors for adults seem to be very popular. All I know is the kids side though.

This studio used to be PURE OM until Yogaworks took over and it started going downhill. Today, the room smelled of paint fumes. Who paints a hot yoga room knowing that the heat will only intensify the smell of paint which is real unhealthy. Next they get rid of those nice cold lavender towels which they used to provide after each hot yoga class. I miss the old studio and the old owners who cared. Time to search for a new studio....

I'm so thankful I live within walking distance of this studio. The teachers are fantastic and the class offerings are diverse enough to offer something for everyone. Two rooms, both heated, offering various types of yoga: bikram, vinyasa, even BUTI (my favorite). Seriously, if you've never done BUTI yoga you have to come check out the Wednesday class with Christine - it's the best! Seriously love this place. If you're thinking about trying it out, you should!!!

I am a professional singer/dancer/actress who was looking for a movement practice to support my performing. I very quickly fell in love with the classes here, I especially love the Yin classes with Amanda, and the Hot Vinyasa with Anne and Amanda. This studio has been my first experience with hot yoga and I feel as though I've really been able to deepen my practice here.

I wish the studio offered a couple of room-temperature vinyasa classes (gentle yoga claims to be on the description, but the room is typically heated to about 85-90 degrees). Now that I am in my first pregnancy, I'm finding the hot classes quite difficult, and I'm having to drive quite far to the Arlington and Alexandria locations (and pay extra) for room temperature vinyasa classes and prenatal classes. I'm not sure what the demand for those classes would be in Fairfax, but would love to see them!

Looking forward to starting up my hot yoga practice again after baby is born!

Very irresponsible company. Don't care about clients. The heat for bikram does not work for two weeks now. Very sad

My first class in Fairfax. The teacher- Irene is amazing !! You can feel her love to what she does and love for her STUDENTS!!. She really cares!! I drop several classes because teachers where like robots, they didn't care. You can hear the indifference in teachers voice and feel insignificance . Irene is completely opposite. She loves PEOPLE and her JOB. Hope other teachers are the same. Will write later....

I tried bikram yoga for the first time today. It was really intense. This place is in old town Fairfax; the facilities are clean and the staff friendly. There's plenty of cubby spaces to put your belongings. I definitely recommend bringing two towels, preferably a beach towel for your yoga mat and a face towel to wipe off the sweat as you workout. And water! Remember to hydrate before, during, and after class. Lots of people bought reused juice containers or big water bottles filled with icy water.

If you're a beginner, sit in the back so you can see the mirror and see the advanced folks in the front (those who are more advanced sit closer to the mirror). When you go into the room and set up, use the time before class begins to stretch quietly or meditate. It's not a class for loud chit chat. The instructors are pretty strict about leaving before class ends, so just keep in mind that once the class starts, try to stay in the room unless it's an emergency.

The heat and humidity are not my friends, so the workout was pretty intense for me. That and the series of postures, which really stretched my flexibility and enhanced strength and postures. Don't push yourself too hard. Make sure you are comfortable in each posture. It's an individual workout, so don't feel like you have to match your neighbor's ability.

I loved the icy cool lavender towel at the end of class! However, I can't say I really enjoyed bikram yoga all too much. Not my thing, but it was an experience.

This is the nicest Bikram studio I've ever practiced at. Very clean, friendly staff & teachers. The women's room has great showers, mirrors & blowdryers for us all.
The yoga room has big windows so nice open feel, clean fresh air so plenty of oxygen
circulating so I never feel over heated or breathless!Great free parking garage attached to studio so no weather to deal with easy in & out!
Be sure to check out the boutique area for cool (&hot) clothes. Also cool if I forget anything clothes mat towel water coconut water... they have it!

So glad I found you!!

I like the studio very much and I like the method very much but my experience varies greatly depending on the instructor I get. Some are very professional, courteous, skillful at teaching all levels and abilities, and sensitive to the individual needs of each student. A few are militaristic, have difficult voices to bear and not forthcoming in helping students that might have injuries to be mindful of. Its a bummer that the teachers I like best don't teach at the times when I can make it to class and I don't want to go back to the ones who are not sensitive to injuries so I end up not going at all.

I bought a Living Social deal for this studio last week and have gone to two classes so far with two different instructors. The first class was with Stephen and he was great and very helpful which is awesome for a newbie like me. The studio is very pretty and clean. Both instructors were great. I am going again tonight with yet another instructor and am looking forward to seeing if I can become super flexible like so many of the other class members!

I absolutely love this studio. The instructors are all really great and the facility is very well kept. And I totally love that they give you the ice cold lavender towels at the end of the classes. They are a welcome refresher after a hard 90 minutes of sweating.

For weeks I have been trying to get to this place to see how it works since this is not a chain gym like any other regular gym I have been to. I had even bought all my yoga tools that I needed to bring with me. Well, I went in the Yoga Studio to obtain some information in person and maybe to get a tour of the facility; however, when I asked the person at the desk (a white male in his 40’s) he said to take the brochure. Then I asked him to tell me a bit more about this type of yoga (Hot Yoga or Bikaram Yoga ) and he said that it is well known and it is not as the ones I have tried in other gyms. He said go to the website and that I could read all about it. In addition he said “I have lots things to do so just go to the website” then he said “we are actually closed”….and I pointed out to him that the door was open and they are supposed to have classes throughout the day. So at that point I said to him in a sarcastic tone “I am sorry to be wasting your time” and he was like “ohh nooo” trying to apologize because I was getting upset. Basically the customer service is very poor and rude. All I wanted was some information about their gym and take a look at the facilities, which he refused to show me. I actually was very excited at first to begin the classes along with three more people but now I do not even feel like recommending this place or paying for the classes. Unfortunately, if you call this place, the answering machine has his voice, so I feel there is no one to complain to. I would rather drive to any other location in VA.
