I moved 12 miles away, which takes me 30 minutes to get to the gym now even though there are half dozen gyms to where I moved. I still have to pay out four more months of the contract. You can easily sign up for the gym in their wonderful gym, but you have to call and send personal information like bank statements with the new address on it to them for them to get you out of the contract. Very unhappy and I will make sure I tell anyone that will listen.

Several times recently, the exercise room at 9:30 has been freezing cold. 62° and the inept front desk does not have the ability or knowledge to change it. Plus my wife says the floor had rock salt all over it for several days after the snow and it wasn’t cleaned up, nor was the trash emptied in the room. The maintenance is very shoddy

It is so simple to join this club but when trying to cancel your membership it is a headache and a half. There is no immediate cancellation, you need to pay for the month you are not going to be attending this particular gym. They have also been charging me for a premium membership since the summer time even though I wanted to downgrade to the base level one. Overpaid 8 months worth which I won’t be seeing again. Thank you for scarring me and reminding me to pay extra for a better facility that doesn’t lock you down like you’re in prison.

YouFit Gym Midlothian is amazing, clean, beautiful colors of green and purple, great latest equipments, pleasant atmosphere, wonderful associates, tons of group fitness classes taught by highly professional instructors. I worked out in many different gyms in Houston, Austin, Phoenix, Virginia Beach and Midlothian and YouFit is by far my favorite gym. I exercise 6-8 hours a week, it is very rewarding and I feel great!

After signing up for a free trial (or so I thought) in January, I was charged the following day. Due to this charge and the lack of a good explanation from the employee signing me up, I decided to stick with my apartment gym. They continued to charge me for months (I was unaware) and called today asking if I wanted to clear the charge. I never stepped foot in the gym after feeling bamboozled from the initial sign up. The manager was able to send me the information of the collection agency they sent an account to that was never used. Other than that she was not helpful and did not see a path towards fixing the situation other than paying the 4 months of non usage and a yearly fee of $49.99. I’ve seen other reviews that depicts canceling this subscription as a rough and possibly never ending process. I hope this gym can improve its quality of care towards customers moving forward.

They charge you to cancel, you have to have a “cancellation review” done, and if payment comes within 10 days of canceling you’re required to pay that too. Do better youfit. Although there were very friendly when I went to cancel my membership because they had moved from where I live to a location that's too far for me to go to, I appreciated the fact that they were willing to help me cancel my membership. They did give me the phone number of who to call but the hardest part is getting a live person on there. It's so easy to get stuck in the phone queue just going over and over and over with the same information. There is no option to talk to an individual. I was finally able to get through to someone after calling back to the Midlothian location for help from Melissa. They did quickly cancel my membership I did not require me to pay an extra month because they had moved. It was kind of confusing being in the phone menu because they said I didn't owe anything yet further on in the phone menu they say I needed to pay an extra month just to cancel my membership. I'm glad I was finally able to cancel it.

Unfortunately over the past couple years the cost of the gym membership per month has gone up. To lower your gym membership, you have to pay a fee, to cancel your membership you have to pay a fee. During Covid when everything was close they did not hesitate to continue to take your money out of your account for your monthly dues. When other gyms had stopped collecting their monthly fees when they were closed, Youfit did not. When the gym re-opened, and people had to bring towels in for their personal use, they could not even extend a free towel to those people. They expected you to pay for those as well. I have to say it’s definitely changed over the last few years. Not a place I would like to go to any longer and will not be recommending any longer.
up dated 03/07/23 ----- As of now, their cancellation policy is awful as well. I was told to go into the location to cancel, then after i went they said I needed to call or go on-line, well needless to say that didn't work out like planned so I was not only charged for a "last month" I was also charged the $49.99 annual fee...for my "last month" i would be able to go ... no pro-rating the fee or anything. Buyer beware. I was a member of a location a couple miles from my house. Which was going fine. In December they closed that location and transferred the membership to the Midlo Turnpike location, with no advance notice to me or even any real time notification of such a change being undertaken. I only found out by finding my location closed and empty one day recently when I stopped in to work out last week. Trying to cancel my membership from now a different location has been a nightmare of bureaucracy (quite intentional it seems) and today they drafted a payment for February while my cancellation is being finalized by some 3rd party (ABC Fitness Solutions). Both ABC and the new location say that they have no authority to refund that next month’s payment, and that I can only talk to corporate office, and conveniently there is no way to speak to a person in corporate.

The Midlothian location is unethical in pretending that these actions are reasonable and that there is nothing they can help me with. Always having me reach out to third parties when their location is actually who holds my membership now. I’d been a satisfied low-visit customer of YouFit for a total of four years. But NEVER again would I do business with them or encourage anyone to use their service as they are greedy for a few extra bucks that they have in no way earned and they don’t mind exposing themselves as thieves in the process of stealing the money while simultaneously making the cancellation process unnecessarily complicated. The devil is in the details of business relationships and they have revealed themselves to me for what they are truly about.

SCAM!! NEVER GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE!! i went to cancel my policy, i had been told when i signed up i could cancel at anytime, no strings attached. I went to the facility to cancel and they said i had to go online and cancel. I went online and there is no cancel button and they are trying to take $50 for renewal. Its not time for my renewal anyway and i have now tried to cancel this 3 different ways and they still have no answers as to how to cancel! I have been going to YouFit for around 10 years now consistently, despite moving out of state twice for college. When I return to visit family, it is a place I always look forward to going to. The staff has always been incredibly friendly and the members who (like myself) have been going there for years are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. The gym itself is very clean but I would not recommend the company. I have given them a couple of chances and every time it just seems like they are out for your money especially during COVID. I stayed with them for about a year and purchased personal training sessions and they refused to give me a refund for my purchased personal training sessions that I didn't get to use because of COVID and I didn't want to go to the gym. They take forever to respond and it is just not worth the hassle. Im going to Crunch fitness now and they have much better service, communication, and they aren't trying to steal your money.

Hello, I’ve been here for about two months and the amount of money they make you spend here is outrageous. I could’ve set a membership at American Family Fitness and paid much cheaper. The cost over here is wild due to the verge of this gym being bankrupt. I pay 15$ a month, 40$ initiation fee, 50$ annual fee. I also span a wheel twice and got 1/2 a month for both making that 3.75 for one month and didn’t even acquire that, I paid 15$ for that month. Anyone who is facing problems don’t come here, it will cause more problems for you. In one week, I paid 80$, this is truly unacceptable. I was never told I had to pay an annual fee too. I know workers try not to mention anything about cost in order to keep this idiotic business standing.

Fabulous fitness facility with ultra clean, modern equipment. As an triathlete, I try to do lower body work at least 2 days every week and riding a couple of hours on my racing bike outdoors. It is vital to ride outdoors for balance and speed. Wish they had a lap pool for swim training.

Wished I would've joined this gym first. I would recommend this gym based off the equipment alone. There are a ton of different exercise machines that are offered for literally every part of your body. From the outside you would think this gym is small, but the place offers a decent size workout space. At any time of the day, I've never seen this gym stuffed with people...and for my weightlifters the squat racks (yes racks, they offer two) are almost always available. So far I've attend two of their fitness classes; a yoga and a Zumba class which had very knowledgeable instructors. My only con is that this gym is not open 24 hours. Although they stay open pretty late during the weekdays (12am I believe). You're kinda outta luck on the weekends as they close before 10pm. Still worth 5 stars to me.

I am becoming so annoyed with this gym. While a couple of the consistent staff here are definitely friendly and remember your name and greet you accordingly-which is great, the hours seem to be ever changing. When I started the gym they were open way late, then they cut hours... Then again...and now you close two weekdays at 6PM? Dont open two weekdays until 10AM???

I go to work at 8AM and get off at 6:30PM. My workout schedule of working out after work is inconvenienced in that I now actually have to work out at work with half the equipment or drive to a location 30 minutes out of my way... What gym closes at 6PM??? I

Signed up for a month while on leave. The person helping me assured me that it would only be for one month and I could cancel at the end. When it was time for me to go back, I called to have it cancelled and they told me that I couldn’t until the 3 month cycle ended. I told them I was military and could not and would not be using their services and needed it cancelled. They were uncooperative, saying that I needed to comeback and sign a document to release myself. Being at a command accross the country made that difficult. It took a family member with a Power of Attorney to finally resolve this. I wish that they wouldn’t treat their customers like this otherwise I would love to use their facilities. They were clean and suited my needs, but after this experience I’ll just avoid them.

Cancelling my membership. Young ladies beware. Not for me but because multiple female friends have complained to me about a male employee who creeps them out. I've tried to get them to come do this review but they don't want to make waves so I'm doing it for them. I've seen him approach these girls while they work out (he's never approached me so clearly it's not about training or technique). I even received a text from someone claiming that they were blocked from entering the bathroom by him while he engaged them in conversation. From the behavior I've personally witnessed, this doesn't surprise me. I enjoy the facility well enough, and as a larger male I am not made to feel uncomfortable. However I won't participate in a gym that overlooks this type of behavior. It can't have gone unnoticed. I will make a note of it to a supervisor, upon my cancellation next week.

Great gym for the price! At $10 per month, anyone can afford a gym membership. This location appears to be a lot bigger than the Midlo-Chippenham gym that I go to. I've worked out at this gym and enjoyed the cleanliness and the space.
