Hands down the best place to learn Hatha Yoga in its most authentic form in Seattle!
I did my 200hr Yoga teacher training here! The lead teacher Arundhati and the other teachers are knowledgeable and know their craft well!
They makes sure to understand the student’s needs,(emotional needs, physical limitations) before teaching the technicalities, something that’s extremely important in this world of AI!
Highly highly recommend!

Went for the How Not to Fail at Meditation session and absolutely loved it. It went beyond just meditation, informative, grounding, and full of clarity. What I really appreciated was how it focused not only on the practice itself but also on bringing more awareness into our present state. Arundhati’s depth of yoga knowledge truly shines through in her teaching. I took a friend along, and we both found it really meaningful and useful.

If you're looking for high quality instruction from exceptionally qualified instructors, this is the place for you! Arundhati and her team are top-notch, classes are very inclusive, and the location is very convenient for eastsiders to boot (super easy parking!).
I've been a student here for over a year and I can't recommend this place enough.

Aham Yoga offers a rare gem of a yoga experience in Redmond. From the moment you step into the studio, you feel welcomed and grounded. The classes are thoughtfully designed—whether you're brand new to yoga or looking to deepen an established practice, there's something for everyone.
But what truly elevates Aham Yoga is Arundhati. She teaches with clarity, warmth, and deep knowledge. She guides with patience and offers personalized modifications when needed.
If you're looking for yoga that is authentic, compassionate, and empowering, this is the place to be!

Love the way they teach yoga! Very authentic approach of all asans. I truly enjoy each and every class.
Love to see the options likes Chaturanga/worrier series as when we are in class, due to time constraints we don’t get chance to ask about correct way to do that specific Asans. All teachers great to give enough instructions but due to lack of practitioner’s strength or somewhat reason, if we get all small & imp details we can achieve more confidence in our in-home practice.

Aru is a yoga expert! The skills that I have gained in the last two years at her studio are going to stay with me for a lifetime. Aru has broken the misconception that yoga is for stretching alone. Learning yoga at Aham has been a humbling yet exhilarating experience that has got me wanting more of it as the days go by 🤩❤️.

This place is truly a Redmond treasure! It embodies the essence of the no nonsense yoga which is hard to describe in words. I have been practicing yoga for over 13 years (on and off) at various studios across the US as I've moved around for work. I can easily say, this is the best studio I have practiced at. I have always been used to yoga being another "class" that I could attend at the gym that I had membership at. But once I started coming into Aham yoga regularly, I realized that it is simply in a different league. I am glad I discovered this place, and I would highly recommend it!
I have been coming to Aham yoga 3+ years now. The instructors are excellent and very approachable. They keep the classes really simple and accessible to everyone while also making sure it is challenging for those who want to be challenged. After class, if you get a chance to talk to the instructors you quickly realize how knowledgeable each of them is (especially Aru, she also has a "Let's talk yoga" podcast!) and how much more there is to yoga practice outside of the physical practice aspect of it.
If you've been doing yoga for a while, try their new member for a month (that is where I personally got started) and attend different classes to see which suits you. And if you are completely new to yoga, I would recommend starting with their "beginner series" that they offer from time to time.

I visited Aham Yoga over the Summer of 2023 while visiting family. I loved all the classes and enjoyed the family friendly environment. I also love their studio and the surroundings. The teachers and the owner is a very nice lady.
I wouldn’t choose any other studio if I would be living nearby.

These are the best yoga classes I've found on the Eastside! There are so many classes to choose from. You can buy a drop in pass, a class pack or an all classes pass. I have learned so much from Aru, Nimisha, Srujana, Michelle, Giyathri and Swaroopa. No matter which class you're in, you get options to take things down or up a notch as needed. Authentic and deep!

Aham Yoga is a very authentic and welcoming yoga studio. I started here at the beginner series and after the course signed up for a level 1 set of classes. The pace, explanation of yoga asanas, and purpose and connection of mind and body was great. Over time I felt my awareness increased and I felt overall less stressed and slept better. I highly recommend Aham yoga if you’re looking to explore a wellness program that will be gentle yet effective on your body and mind.

TL;DR For anyone who’s interested in Yoga, no matter where they are in their Yoga journey, I’d highly and wholeheartedly recommend Aham Yoga. Just go take a class and you won't regret it.
As a kid growing up in India, I was introduced to Yoga at a young age but never really got into it. I have been since curious about it as an adult but was quite skeptical of all the various forms of Yoga that popped up, some even sounding gimmicky and purely appropriative. Last year with increased symptoms from a stressful job and kinda sedentary lifestyle, I started looking for Yoga studios again. Aham Yoga stood out, what seemed to me, in their passionate and respectful approach to Yoga and decided to try their beginners series. I am so glad that I did.
The beginners class was I was a fantastic (re)introduction to yoga for me. Right from the first class, I felt that I was in care of an amazing Yoga teacher. Arundhati kept the class informative, fun and more importantly very welcoming, all the while teaching us the fundamentals of the practice. The beginners course not only gave the confidence to pursue Yoga further but also inculcated an excitement for Yoga that I never had before. I was pleasantly surprised and am very grateful for that coz now I have been practicing Yoga at Aham Yoga for more than a year now. It has now become kinda indispensable because besides physical improvements, the practice grounds and brings me mindfulness and calm in this seemingly eternally busy life. Every instructor is fun, kind, passionate about teaching Yoga, provides individual attention and somehow manages the right balance of pushing you to just the right extent. It’s no surprise that it has fostered a great community of kind people who treat Yoga as a holistic practice that it is, rather than just another form of exercise.
Again, I am super glad that I gave Aham yoga a try and intensely grateful for Aru and the other teachers at the studio.

Arundhati is an incredible instructor. She teaches yoga the way as intended, to actually allow students to learn and grow and create a sustainable practice. She is kind towards students and offers jokes to ease any concerns when trying new yoga poses. Highly recommend Aham Yoga. Online or in-studio! Looking forward to taking more classes.

Arundhati and Aham Yoga have been the only reason for pushing me to continue a dedicated Yoga practice. I started my sessions with Aham Yoga in July 2022 and since then I can already experience a huge difference to my own mental and physical health. Unlike a lot of yoga Studios in US, where the concept of Yoga is misunderstood and focussed on "Poses", Arundhati's main goal is to really create a a very holistic yoga experience and space for every individual to bring in their whole self, and be on their practice journey without being judged, and to be able to see the difference for themselves. She is an amazing teacher , who provides individual attention to every student and takes everyone's individual expertise and comfort into consideration, including helping us with modified asanas if a student is a beginner. Aham Yoga also offers varying levels from beginners to Experienced level 3 yoga classes, depending on need and individual journeys.
Even the Seattle snow or rain are no longer excuses for me to miss Yoga practice.
Highly recommended if you are looking to start or continue your Yoga journey in the Seattle/ Puget sound area....

Teaching yoga to beginners (TT30) with Arundhati Baitmangalkar is a program so valuable, that not only I would recommend it to anyone teaching beginners, but I would argue that it should be mandatory for anyone who is even beginning to think about teaching anyone yoga.
In the program Arundhati first dives deep into the definition of the beginner, how to approach beginners on and off the mat, and how to contextualize yoga for them, which is something I find gravely lacking in western yoga.
During the course, Arundhati gives so much practical and useful information, such as breathing awareness and patterns, heating and cooling effect of asanas, and covers the use of props very extensively, but what was a standout for me was the part on how to approach the students with special health/body conditions and how to get creative with helping them adapt their practice in every situation.
Even with this part only, I would have been extremely happy with the course, as I believe this is something every yoga teacher (and every conscious yoga practitioner) should know, as it affects not only how one approaches teaching others, but also one’s own personal asana practice which changes over time.
A lot of attention is also given to cueing, and practical tips on how to explain the asana to a beginner, as well as the teacher mindset in the reverence of yoga, which I believe is crucial to keep. So if you are considering enroling in this course, I sincerely recommend it!

I highly recommend Arundhati's online teacher trainings. I have just completed her online "Teaching Yoga to Beginners" training and am so glad I took it. I felt truly supported in the learning process, and the course is packed full of so much wisdom. The structure of the course ensures that you have time to implement what you learn and get direct, personalized feedback from Arundhati. Though I know I have so much more to learn, this course has helped incredibly with feeling more grounded in my own practice and more confident in sharing this beautiful practice with others.

A great experience with Ms. Nimisha for my in-studio beginner sessions. She is really good in easing us into each session with the right pace and making sure we were comfortable with each pose.
The studio itself is located in a peaceful surrounding which helps in relaxing and concentration.

Really beautiful studio that I’ve enjoy going to in the past, knowledgeable teachers. But recently the website makes it impossible to book online for in person class and nobody answers the phone when I call. Am I’m supposed to just show up and hope there’s a space?

I have tried a number of yoga studios, but I honestly never felt comfortable in them - or that I "fit in". Luckily a friend told me about Aham Yoga and I have been taking classes on and off for about 5 years now! Arun and the other teachers are amazing. I don't think I could ever go anywhere else! I feel 100% like I fit in, they remember my injuries and customize poses specifically for me and for anyone else w/ knee injuries :). I would recommend this without hesitation to anyone who is interested in learning about Yoga.

I found Aham Yoga (and the Youtube channel) through Arundhati's work in providing education about the roots of yoga, and have loved my experience! I find the classes more engaging than any other studio I've tried, challenging but supportive for a beginner like me.
I take classes online because I live in Florida and feel like I receive quality instruction because the teachers take the time to observe the students attending on Zoom and provide helpful feedback. I always look forward to class!

I’ve just attended a Restorative yoga Training with Arundhati Baitmangalkar, and my experience was amazing! Arundhati is a professional, assertive but always gentle and mindful of the students’ needs. She speaks slowly, repeats and double checks, is creative, passionate and enthusiast, and very knowledgeable of the yoga philosophy. Last, but not least, with a nine hour time zone (I live in Italy)I very much appreciated time management. Strongly recommended!

I am lucky to have found this yoga studio. It's one of my happy places. I have been practicing yoga with Arundhati and her team for about 3 years, and I had two beautiful pregnancies during this time. Aru is very great yoga teacher, and she carefully structured my yoga routines through out my pregnancies - due to which I felt stronger, energetic, quite relaxed, confident through out. Practicing yoga with Aru helped me for natural birthing both the times. Bonus - a great community as well as the studio is placed in a beautiful location, which complements the yoga practice rain or shine!

I came to Aham yoga before I got pregnant. I have had yoga ( or atleast what I thought was yoga) as part of my life for a while but working with Arundhati and her team really taught me the true essence of yoga. I was able to get stronger, be relaxed , have insane energy and feel absolutely wonderful about myself and the pregnancy. It was worth the 30 minute drive for me. The asanas she taught me helped during labor and pushing an 8 pound baby out in less than 40 minutes. She worked on breathing, hip opening and strengthening all muscle groups. I would recommend her to everyone who wants to practice yoga and make it part of your lifestyle. If you are pregnant or planning to have a baby, do yourself a favor and work with Arundhati and team. This is the best thing you can do for yourself in my opinion. Also you will be surprised how much it helps your mind and body post partum. Thank you Aham yoga for such a wonderful experience and I can't wait to come back to the studio.

Excellent studio for pre-Natal yoga! Arundhati is super knowledgeable and customises routines to match your pregnancy needs vs. a one-size-fits-all approach of a lot of studios (I tried out three other studios before finding Aham!). The routines strengthen both your body and mind. I continue to practice even after giving birth and sometimes, it's the only thing that keeps this new mother sane. Thank you, Arundhati!!

Just did a full day Yoga Immersion at Aham Studio with Arundhati. So refreshing to find an instructor who does traditional yoga, working with each student individually as needed. I saw her get other students to gently reach beyond where they were before, and she was able to teach me many new things.
Wish I lived closer and could go to Aham for my everyday practice, but I hope to do more workshops and catch classes sometimes.

When I moved to Redmond 6 months ago, I discovered Aham Yoga and immediately fell in love with Arundhati's teaching style. She provides each and every student personal attention, instruction & encouragement to enable each student to progress and challenge themselves further, yet within their body's ability. Her genuine love & appreciation for yoga shines through everything she does. Because of her, I look forward to making yoga practice a mainstay for the rest of my life.

I came to Aham Yoga after feeling defeated in my yoga practice. As a new yoga teacher, and new to the Seattle area, I craved somewhere to continue to learn and deepen my practice in the way I felt and understood it while studying in India. Immediately, I began to see progress in my practice which has undoubtedly overflowed into all other areas of my life. I feel very fortunate to be able to place my mat down and reconnect with my practice at Aham Yoga several times a week. The challenge never ends, and the benefits never cease to amaze me. XO

I found Aham Yoga after I pinched a nerve in my lower back. Since starting in February, my lower back has improved immensely along with my overall body strength and flexibility. Prior to finding Arundhati, I was skeptical about the lavish praise people showered on yoga. The affection and wonderment seemed unduly rewarded. But I understand now. Arundhati helps me physically and mentally every single session I attend. Six days a week I leave class one step closer to my personal goals.
I feel like a different person now, a better person. I have learned why having yoga as a daily practice can be transformative; moreover, why finding a special teacher who fosters an enriching, familial, and challenging environment is an important piece of yoga's calculus. I'm so grateful to have found Arundhati, Aham Yoga, and all the help she continues to give me. ♥

Best yoga studio ever! Classical yoga for modern life. Arundhati takes the time to get to know each student personally and modifies poses for each student's needs. She challenges all students to improve their asanas week by week. The class learns advanced poses such as head stands, hand stands, and arm balances step-by-step, with the time and attention not offered in other studios. Take one class at Aham Yoga and you'll never turn back!
