My 5-year-old son attended a Parkour class led by Luke. Luke sent him out of the class for not following instructions—without saying a single word to me. I had no idea anything was going on and told my son to go back in. That moment, which apparently was a "second chance" Luke had decided to give him, didn’t go well either—my son didn’t want to do push-ups, and Luke sent him out again. Again, with no communication to me.
Luke seemed very upset to see my son return and began shouting at me, demanding to know why Nick was back in his class.
Imagine an adult class where, if you don’t or can’t do an exercise exactly as instructed, you’re kicked out mid-session. Would you ever return?
And Luke later told me that he sent my son out as a “punishment”—his word, not mine. Just think about that: I’m paying someone to punish my 5-year-old for not doing push-ups.
Dear Alpha Gymnastics, not everyone who brings their child is aiming for a place on your team or chasing athletic achievement. Some of us—myself included—assume classes like Parkour are meant to be fun, active, and welcoming. Demanding strict obedience and humiliating kids who don’t comply doesn’t just kill the fun—it makes them hate being there.
I won’t be sending my kids back, and I don’t recommend anyone else send theirs to Luke.

Excellent gymnastics classes. Competitive and recreational classes. Low prices for similar services in the area. English and Russian speaking classes available. Definitely recommend!

We couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible coaching staff at Alpha gymnastics! Thank you to Coach Ryan and Coach Natalie for your dedication and for being such positive role models!
The dedication, knowledge, and encouragement they provide have truly made a lasting impact on our son. Their passion for gymnastics has not only helped him grow as an athlete but also as a young man.
From the very beginning, the coaches have fostered an environment that is both challenging and supportive. They push him to reach his full potential while ensuring he continues to love the sport. Their focus on discipline, perseverance, and teamwork has helped him build confidence and resilience—qualities that extend beyond the gym.
It’s amazing to see how much he has improved under their guidance, and most importantly, how much joy he finds in gymnastics.

Alpha is an awesome gymnastics. Specially the coaches Ryan and Natalie are the best! My son improved so much and their dedication is top notch. Even we were not confident of our son's potential they encouraged us to go next level. I am yet to come across any coaches as dedicated as them for any other sports. Go Coach Ryan and Natalie you are the best!

I've had a fantastic experience at Alpha Gymnastics, and I want to give a special shoutout to Lilia, who worked at the front desk. She was always welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. Whether it was answering questions, scheduling classes, or just creating a friendly atmosphere, she went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. It's clear that she genuinely cares about the gym and its members. If you're looking for a well-run gymnastics facility with great staff, I highly recommend Alpha Gymnastics

We absolutely love Alpha Gymnastics! My son is in Level 3, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Coaches Ryan and Natalie are truly amazing! They are not only incredibly knowledgeable and skilled, but they also have a way of making each child feel confident and motivated. Their patience, encouragement, and positive energy make every practice a joy.
The program is well-structured, and it's clear that both Ryan and Natalie are passionate about helping each gymnast reach their full potential. My son has shown tremendous growth in both his skills and confidence since joining.
The facility is always clean, safe, and welcoming, and the entire staff is friendly and supportive. We feel so fortunate to have found such a wonderful gymnastics community.
Thank you, Coaches Ryan and Natalie, and the whole Alpha Gymnastics team, for your dedication and passion! We highly recommend Alpha Gymnastics to any family looking for a place where their child can learn, grow, and have fun!

The coaches seem to be very experienced. It is a huge gym and we can see the level of practice from the other senior athletes. My 7 year old had a good time. The distance and timings didnot work for us to continue

I had to take all my kids because of an incident - Coach Alasdai was rude to my 5-year-old boy, who doesn't speak English well, for no reason. I expected Coleen to handle this issue more professionally, but she didn't want to meet or improve it; we were just a number to her. On the other hand, the kids loved having a class with Coach Blake (ninja class) - he is a professional and handles kids very well! We are very sorry to take our kids out of his class. Cause of the unprofessional handling of the incident, I wouldn't recommend this gym.

Unprofessional! We were scheduled for a free trial class on Saturday and we had to cancel some plans for this class, after we came all the way from Sammamish(1 hour drive round trip) we were told sorry the class was cancelled !! We didn’t receive any previous notification! If this is the level of professionalism to market to your place, I wonder how it would be after enrolling! So frustrating!

Update: the owner has flagged my review as "fake". Of course, I wouldn't expect anything else of her. This has always been the way she handled criticism.
This place has become intolerable ever since their men's team coach (Giancarlo) went berserk a few months ago. Essentially, the coach kicked one of the best members of his team out of the team for no reason at all. The owner (Coleen) decided to abstain from comments. What made the whole situation particularly repugnant, is that when the situation escalated, Coleen simply threw the whole family out of the gym.
The toxicity of this place has caused an exodus of team members, leaving the gym one after another.

My daughter has attended this gym for the last 7 years and is on the competitive team. She spends at least four days a week here and loves it. Not only has gymnastics made her physically strong, it has also helped her develop confidence, resilience and focus. Over the years, especially when my daughter was younger she really struggled to focus at practice. Coach Colleen and her staff were very understanding and have worked with us over the years to help her develop better focus. I can say without a doubt the commitment that the coaches have made to my daughter over the years has helped her grow not only in gymnastics but in all aspects of her life. I have certainly not had any of the bad experiences that have been posted by others and we have been at this gym for the past 7 years!

Alpha has been an incredible gym for my son. I have never seen another gym so invested in the men’s program like Alpha is. Generally, men’s gymnastics is an afterthought to the women’s program, but that is not the case here. The coaches are kind and empathetic while still instilling disciple and challenging the athletes to become their best selves mentally and physically. My son’s skills and gymnastics elevated immensely after transferring here from a different gym. He competed at both state and regionals and placed, but all that is just a bonus to the self discipline and other personal skills he’s learned at the gym. Highly recommend!

My daughter has been practicing at Alpha for the last 4+ years. She started with preschool gymnastics classes with coach Natalia, moved to pre-team and has been in a team (DP) since then and spends in the gym 15+ hours per week. Coach Natalia is an amazing coach and we are so grateful she was her first coach. Coach Marina, Lan, Becky, Colleen are all great at what they do, kids feel safe and we see not only improvement in skills but also how fast her confidence is growing, thanks to the amazing coaches and their patience and dedication. My daughter loves coming to the gym and is always looking forward to the next practice. We found many friends in the gym, everyone on the team is super supportive. We are happy to be a part of Alpha family.

Alpha gymnastics has instilled a drive and work ethic into my son that I didn't know he had. If you have a kid that doesn't love traditional team sports give gymnastics a try. Alpha is a top gym for men's gymnastics and coach Giacarlo has dedicated his life to these kids. With his safe, consistent, and knowledgeable approach there is no better place to for men's gymnastics. Giancarlo has a college degree in gymnastics, is well connected throughout the collegiate and national level teams. I just can't say enough good things about Alpha Gymnastics and what they've done for my son.

A fantastic place to practice gymnastics for kids and adults. Great staff, great coaches, great equipment. Good for all levels, from doing gymnastics just for fun all the way to competing at higher levels. My kid has been training there since 4 y.o and it's consistently been a great positive part of her life.

I love this gym. We've been there for 4 years and my daughter loves it. We started from recreational and then were invited into team. Are the coaches strict? Of course. Its a sport where misbehavior and lack of discipline can cause injury. Never did my daughter cry there because of coaches, actually she is being boosted in her self confedence. I love how family oriented this place-we are a part of a whole.

I have to say that this gym is one of the best gym in Seattle area and it has a great competitive gymnastics program for boys and girls. It always feels like you are part of a big family there, all coaches are loved by kids and I have two kids at this gym. One of my kid works with coach Giancarlo. This coach is truly one of the best in our area, my son loves working with Giancarlo and he is so motivated by him. He is elite coach and highly respected in our region. If you have a boy who wants to follow elite path in gymnastics (ready to work and not lazy), Giancarlo would be the right coach for him. My other kid works with coach Lan, Becky, Marina and Colleen, all of them work together with the goal to build a great competitive team and yet make sure that kids love this sport and enjoy trainings. My daughter loves this gym.

Seems that I am not the only one with bad experience of this place. Will keep it short. Horrible place which the money sign over the head only. Don’t traumatize your child by taking them there. You will have an adult make your child cry and say things that a coach should never say to a kid. My daughter cried 5 times out of 6 visits. I think that says it all.

We were 15 minutes late to class and when we got there my kiddo was so excited. she waits every week for her gymnastics class, but unfortunately her instructor sent her back crying her lungs out because she was late. I found it to be very unprofessional and inappropriate to deal with a 3 year old like this. He was telling her “ you were late and you can’t be here “ and when she insisted he started talking with an attitude and sent her back. He embarrassed her in front of the other kids and she didn’t want to go back so I unregistered her.

Signed up for the free introductory class and was put in for he wrong age group and wrong class. Front desk woman was unsympathetic. She said my child could jump into the class that started 15 minutes prior. My child is pretty shy this was not a very welcoming start. Even the way she spoke to my child about putting his things in the cubby was very cold. On another note this place is incredibly dirty. From the shelves when you first come in to the parents waiting area. It looks and smells like it hasn’t had a proper cleaning in awhile. The whole front office is cluttered with papers and forms and Christmas decorations. We won’t be back.

I would like to express my appreciation to a great coach from Russia - Natalia. Probably the best value of the classes. Not easy to deal with little kids. She is able keep kids focused during the class and get results. Kids are improving in a short period of time. If you have little ones (especially if Russian speaking family) - that is the best place to bring your child

This is a review of a team parent.
I cannot say enough of good words about Alpha Gymnastics! Leaving a review at the time of Covid it might be important to point out that the gym is VERY CLEAN. Coaches try hard to make sure all the protocols are followed. Athletes wear masks where it is called for, and take them off when it presents a risk due to the level and complexity of the activities.
The coaches come from very diverse backgrounds and really add to the quality and feel of the gym. The athletes are also very different: there are those who are extremely talented, those who are super competitive and those who are shy and anxious. The coaches are able to work with all the different athletes and help each to reach the personal best.
What I value the most is how safe and comfortable my daughter feels in the gym. She trust her coaches. As for the girls on the team - they are so very supportive and protective of each other it is heartwarming to see!
It's a great place for parents as well. I formed very strong friendships with other parents there and we really care for each other.
As for the recreational classes the coaches who teach there are mostly the very same coaches who train the teams, which means that even on the recreational level one gets a very high quality of training. The classes are small and each child gets a lot of attention.
No gym is perfect, but we choose Alpha over other gyms that are much closer to us. My husband and I really wanted to move out of PNW, but are staying in the area because of how much our daughter enjoys being a part of the team in Alpha gymnastics.

We really wanted to try this establishment out for our family. We signed up to do a free trial class and hopefully enroll during their one day special of reduced tuition for that month and for new members reduced enrollment fees.
Unfortunately, my kids had a fever and we decided to keep them home for obvious reasons. My husbands phone log shows he called from 10 am until noon three times. The voicemail was full so he couldn't leave a voicemail. Then we emailed them to explain and to see if we could still register today, during their special without the kids coming in.
The email responses were not helpful nor understanding at all. We did mention my kids were ill and we didn't want other children attending class to sick, so we didn't attend. Again, we tried to give advance notice but it was a challenge to get ahold of anyone.
What we didn't mention was why we were so eager to enroll some of our children. My husband is leaving for several months this week. Living so far from our normal home/military base we wanted to find nearby places for our children to be active and to stay busy while he is away. A few of my kids were really excited about this gym and their parkour class.
Updating: Once a staff member contacted us and told us we were not illegible for the special we told them that we were no longer interested. They continued to contact us a few more times still not offering their one-day special. In one particular email they told us we shouldn't called at night when they were not open. We only called during business hours. Their tone in reply was very disconcerting.
I'm hopeful and looking forward to finding other gyms. This gym just doesn't seem to be as friendly lacks in communication.

Every time we go we are doing something new, balloons, bubbles, rattles, slides, parachutes, bouncy balls of all sizes, latter, courses, stuffed animals, trampolines. We roll, we bounce, crawl, strengthen our core, learn to move and coordinate our body, learn to listen, socialize, and share. I cant recommend it enough!

It was sad but we decided to drop Tech Gymnastics. We liked our coaches but organization is just terrible.
Once we came for kids lesson and we were told it was cancelled. It takes 40 min to drive there. And yes, I have a phone and email!
Once a coach from another class was absent and they decided to mix the classes and we got twice more kids in our group.
Once we came for the class and my child was alone there, because no one was registered for this class but her. She had only one hour lesson instead of one our and a half and class had been cancelled. And yes, I still had my phone and email.
They also has a wrong contact email on their own website.
So, it's really hard to keep tracking what is going on there, because they usually don't tell you about any updates. All the news I got was from my kids and their friends.
We had about 5 different coaches and it would be fair to say that one of them (Bri ) is a really great and nice teacher and when she got absent, she did sent us email in advance and was happy to answer to all of our questions and explain everything.
I don't want to share all of my stories (there are more) but I feel like they made us drop out of the gym. That is sad(((
