I just joined Anytime Fitness last week. Abbey is a fabulous young lady who is the manager. She is very friendly and kind! It is worth the money due to its small size, amazing cleanliness, the beautiful equipment, the variety of equipment and the 24/7 hours. :) It would be awesome to have a sauna though!

I have been a member for over a year. Mike, Leslie and Abbie have all been great at the Ferndale WA location of Anytime Fitness. Equipment is kept in good functioning order, water taste clean from the fountain & the layout of the gym lends itself to smooth workouts.
Whenever hiccups arise they are addressed with professionalism & expertise. This is the way it's done.

If you don't mind paying a bit extra compared to other gyms for 24-hour access, this gym is fine for basic free weight and other workouts.

Pros:
- Gym and equipment are generally well cleaned. (However, gym is unstaffed on weekends.)
- Other gym members typically mind their own business but are helpful too. Most people I have seen also wipe down equipment and return things to their original locations afterwards.
- Only seen a few instances of men and women filming themselves. Typically don't need to worry about being filmed aside from the security cameras.
- The gym managers I have seen over the years have all been kind people.
- Convenient access and suitable for basic workouts.
- Issues are fixed relatively quickly with periodic improvements. (e.g. fixing broken glass, upgrading from wood flooring, etc.)
- Can use MyZone (upon purchase) to track one's heart rate, relative effort, and approximate calories burned during workouts through a chest strap and app.

Cons:
- Expensive compared to other gyms, and doing a contract change/cancellation can be a hassle.
- Periodic additional fee (about $15) for improving the gym.
- Given the size of the gym, there is only one (or pair) of equipment and weights, so waiting until someone finishes using something is common during busier hours. (Exceptions: cardio equipment and plastic weights)
- May not have specific equipment found in other gyms.
- Little to no incentive for taking part in gym challenges.
- No current dedicated coach at this branch, although there used to be one before. Also limited group classes.
- Cubbies for personal belongings are right by the gym entrance.
- (Personal) Previous treadmills would reach max speed faster. Current treadmills take longer to accelerate.

I’ve been trying to sign up. I work 7 days a week 14 hours a day for months at a time and travel all over. I can’t meet someone for a tour. I don’t want a tour, I just want to pay show my Id and get a membership so I have somewhere to exercise after my shifts.

Do not sign up here without checking other locations nearby! Anytime fitness is good but this location is a rip off when it comes to sign up fees. If you can sign up at a Bellingham or other location and wait to go here until after the 30 day waiting period… I’d do it. I signed up here a week before my friend did at the Bellingham Barkley location. I was charged 120 dollars up front and pay 30 for the annual gym maintenance fee. They were charged 30 for the same annual contract setup (both 24.99 bi weekly) and only pay 25 a year for the same maintenance fee! I feel like this gym really ripped me off with the fees they charge versus the same gyms less than 15 minutes away. Just don’t make the same mistake I did and go here first without checking the fees nearby and decide what’s best for you…

I just started at this gym and overall the experience has been great! It's not too busy, at least during the afternoon hours when I go, and there is plenty of equipment for everyone to use. My one complaint is that they don't enforce wearing a mask during this peak of covid cases, but I understand that in this area that could cost them a lot of business. Because it's not busy when I go, I don't find it to be a deal breaker like it would be at busier gyms in Bellingham.

I am so shocked I have been using and enjoying anytime fitness all over the country for a long time now. My partner and do #vanlife and it's a great way to have places to workout and shower all over. We where shocked when we came to this gym this Saturday evening if anyone has been at a gym on a Saturday evening it's not what u would call their peak time witch is one reason we go then.
A lady named Leslie who claims to be the owner of the #Ferndaleanytimefitness in #wa told my partner in a very crude and vulgar way, as she waited to use the shower as it was occupied, that she wasn't able to take a shower in their facilities because the gym was for working out only.
When. We looked on the window it said that a guy names Mike Hoefer is the licensed owner.
Mike I really hope that u can deal with this employee.

Great gym and it's nice having 24 hour access. Every facility I have been to has been clean, well kept and the equipment has been well maintained.

My only complaint is that their business model changes your primary or home location based on usage. So if you are visiting out of state or traveling, when you get home you could have to wait a month or two for your account to be reassigned to your home location if you need to do an account update. It is a minor issue but an issue none the less,, hence the 4 stars.

Lame gym, reached out to see about getting a week long pass or something of the sorts, no response back. (understanding that it was 4th of July weekend), used my mom's pass, was respectful of their gym and put everything back. Literally no one in the gym and they fined us $100 for two time use. I understand policies, but seriously? Lost a membership. Will be looking elsewhere for a gym.

I love this gym. I actually joined another Anytime and I should have started here instead the nightmare at the other location. The Manager is onsite the majority of the time and it always available for any questions or equipment instruction. The trainer is great as well. Both are super encouraging and engaging in the most positive ways. The equipment is well maintained and the entire space is super clean. I look froward to the gym now and should be able to reach my weight loss goal at my appointed time. You would be remiss not to check out this location to help you reach your own health goals!!

Easily accessible location, plenty of parking, well lit, clean and adequate equipment, clean bathrooms. Wish they had more mirrors, and I'm a bit nervous about the open cubby storage, especially with it being right near the exit. It's nice to have the storage, but I've been to other facilities where they have small lockers with keys provided. Otherwise very happy with the facility!
