Since I joined the Renton location Anytime Fitness I have achieved my goal buy loosing the the wate and improve my overall health . The main thing that help me is working with the personal trainers who set new goals and help me to accomplish them.

The manager here was extremely rude. I called on Veterans Day because my gym was closed, to see if I could get a day pass. The manager answered. I forgot his name, but it was a Hispanic man. I was told that I could come in for a day pass. It was about 11 AM. Mind you I have never been to this gym before I just know it’s by my house and the name says Anytime fitness so you would assume that most of these gyms have day passes. Conveniently enough when I pulled up and walked into the gym someone was walking in so I was able to catch the door on the way in, but I did notice that there was a button on the door so I’m assuming that’s for people who don’t have a membership. I walked in. The gym was pretty empty. Looked like a very nice gym. definitely was very interested and excited to start my fitness journey here as I approach the manager’s office. He was sitting in the office and the first thing he said to me was Ohh you were the one that called? How did you get in here? I told him the situation and he proceeded to tell me that he was going to fine the persons account that let me in. Because apparently, if you’re a member at this gym, you’re not allowed to let anybody else in that doesn’t have a membership in to the gym. He’s going on about how people are not supposed to let people in and he’s going to charge the person‘s account $50 and talk to the regional manager and I’m sitting there like dude. I’m not trying to get anybody in trouble. The door was slightly open I was able to walk in like come on now... anyways long story short I’m sitting in his office. He’s trying to get the day pass ready. Then proceeds to tell me all of a sudden that the system is not working and that I need cash I’m like funny well I don’t have any cash on me. I could probably go home and get cash, but I mean if you could like double check to see if you can try to get the system to work that would be great i only have card.. I really don’t wanna have to go back home. He ends up not able to get the system running then I’m like OK thts fine ill go grab cash from home. I grab my stuff and I’m about to leave and he’s like “yeah well actually our gym doesn’t even open until 1 o’clock anyway, I know it’s called Anytime fitness but we’re not really open anytime anyways” so I’m like Well, why did you tell me I could get a day pass over the phone, this was never ever mentioned? automatically I just was like you know what I’m done talking to this man I’m gonna get out of here. definitely rubbed me the wrong way and ruined my impression for this gym. I would recommend trying a different gym where the customer service is not a 1 out of 10. Gym does look very nice and quiet tho. But the manager is rude and unprofessional.

They probably should do more to be an observing presence in the gym. There are times when no workers are present and I am going to put it frankly, some of the white men going to this gym do a lot of bully and intimidation tactics. I am pretty sure, these things are not condoned by Anytime fitness but it seems to be very present. The space is not large enough for people to go in there and lose their manners and become primal.

I saw a gay- friendly sticker on the door which is comforting but I think there needs to be more of a presence to detour anyone from feeling uncomfortable by the white men who purposely get in your space or try to stare you down.

FORMER LA COUNTY DEPUTY HERE. I can not make this up. So this location is unfortunately besieged with the homeless. My first day here I literally had to call the local police department for a vagrant who was belligerent and hostile to me for not giving him any money. IN FRONT OF THE GYM. A guy inside then comes out to the door to confront me and asks me for my fob. I promptly decided to call the police after noting his hostility. The whole thing got worse when the police arrived. I had to produce my receipts from my email just to prove I did in fact have a membership there, all to the dismay of the parties involved. I then showed the officer proof of my involvement with law enforcement in CA. In the end, the vagrant was displaced and my membership was revoked. Also a "global ban" was set in effect against me. Bear in mind that I was the one who called the police initially, and had served with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for 4 years before coming here. So I basically paid about 80$ for nothing. Oh and don't try to call them. The number does not exist. BELIEVE THE REVIEWS. GO ELSEWHERE I IMPLORE YOU.

UPDATE: Apparently my review touched a nerve because despite my trying to reach them for days on end, the moment I posted this review I was called by not 1 not 2 but 3 different representatives and was eventually given a partial refund. They gave me the 56 back for the annual fee but did not refund the initial 25. No biggie. Dude was super argumentative about it to boot. From one American to another, AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. LONG LIVE THE HONEST SALESMAN.

Honestly, I had a rough time getting a hold of anyone to sign up. Once I finally did, the staff was super nice. There are a few cleanliness issues I've come across... One being that I think the disinfectant spray bottles are just filled with water. Also the bathroom showers and tile are not cleaned well, if at all. Especially the walls & bars for stability. As for the gym itself, it's actually a great little gym. Go in, workout, leave & you'll have a pretty decent experience.

I joined Anytime Fitness after working out at big box or community gyms for a long time. Anytime Fitness was a great change from what I was use to. The gym provides a cleaning solution and towels for members to wipe down equipment, and the community at Anytime are serious about their workout and sanitize after themselves.

One thing I also appreciate is how I’ve never had to skip a movement because of the equipment was occupied. People do what they need to do and quickly move on. In previous gyms, my fitness journey was negatively impacted because of unmitigated crowds, or people who were busier browsing their phones than getting to work.

Anytime has been the better gym in Seattle I’ve been at. The staff is helpful. The community seems goal-oriented and respectful of others they are sharing a space with.

I was reluctant to use this gym due to the reviews left but my preferred gym has awful weekend hours (I have two gym memberships since I travel for work) but as soon as I walked in it smelt clean & everything was extremely clean, they had great equipment in good-great condition, wasn’t busy which was a nice change of pace, I need to utilize the shower rooms which were also in good shape. Maybe I just came on a good day but I was very happy & will definitely be coming back - maybe even more than my preferred gym tbh.

I use to go to this gym before Covid hit. I loved it because I use to go at night. Barely anyone there. It was super clean and nice. The showers were a plus for me. I am giving this place 5 stars because I enjoy one of the trainers, Cristanos. He’s supported me and helped a lot with my goals and have taught me how to properly do weights. He is a knowledgeable man and I’ve learned a lot from him in such short time. Always a wonderful time when we start chit chatting at the gym, I’m sure everyone else enjoys conversing with him!

The only thing that’s bothersome about this place is that others don’t put things away: spray bottle, weights, mats, towels, etc.

My home gym is the Lynnwood anytime fitness and on occasion I go to Edmonds as well, but Whenever in the south end I do stop by the Renton location to get a workout in then this place has consistently stayed below average. The very important and simple things that staff can control They never seem to do, like the cleaning. The bathroom consistently stays dirty, the equipment consistently stays dirty and yet there's always somebody on location during the week , and If you don't believe me look at all the other reviews about the upkeep of this location. Now the owner will jump into the reviews and apologize but at what point are the people who run this place are going to stop apologizing and improve the facility. Today will be my last time coming to the Renton location This place is a joke

I'd give it more stars if they didn't keep the A/C at insane 75 degrees. They have it set to 72/75. I know many other gyms who keep their A/C under 70. UPDATE 3/22/22:

I want to give a shoutout to Drew for reaching out to me regarding about the whole situation. After talking with him and scheduling, I was able to get an appointment. On the day of the appointment, the staff that I was suppose to meet wasn't there. However, there was a staff and Crisantos was very helpful from the beginning and was able to set up my Active&Fit Direct account with AF.

After having my 1 on 1 free consultation personal training, I decided to move forward and sign up for personal training with him. Crisantos was informative and friendly the whole process so it was easy to sign up. I never done any type of PT with anyone so it was nice to get this started.

I might update this review down the road!

I visited Saturday 3/5/2022 around noon and no staff was there during “staff hours” so I thought I should make an appointment just to be safe.

I made an appointment for today 6pm 3/7/2022 and showed up before 6pm. No staff was there based on what was posted at the door.

Here I am telling myself to give this place another chance and wait for 10 minutes and yet no staff.

This is disappointing because I gave this place a chance to see if I’m wrong when it comes to “staffing hours” and the least y’all can do is send an email, text, or even a phone call saying no staff will be here so I can reschedule.

Time to look for a better gym that actually has people working during staffed hours.

Update for 2022:

The place stays dirty. Equipment and facilities stay broke.

There was a sign posted (attached) on one of the bathrooms, where the new owner was fed up with the bathroom getting destroyed. Instead of finding the individual(s) responsible for the damage, they locked the bathroom (leaving only one for the entire gym during unstaffed hours) and placed a sign on the door telling users to ask for a key. When I called for explanation she first stated: “Are you the one that wrote on the sign?” 😒Then stated: “We have homeless people coming in and they leave towels and tissue all over the floor. What would you have me do?” I was so stunned by the abject laziness of this question I couldn’t even respond. There are cameras everywhere! Review them and ban the person!

Since then:
There’s one bathroom that stays broken. I’d suggest bringing your own toilet paper and prepare to use the Starbucks restroom in an emergency, during unstaffed hours.
The owner has removed the cleaning bottles and towels from the machines and placed them in one spot near the entrance, making it inconvenient to clean the equipment when done.
Gospel music has been introduced to the ambient music rotation.
This place used to be much better than the other gyms in the area.

The only piece of advice I’d give is to tell the new owner to visit Queen Anne Anytime Fitness and see how that franchise operates but that requires some sense of fidelity to your customers - and the new owner does not have that.

Anytime Fitness in Renton, 98057, asked my little brother to leave today. He was dancing while on the stair master. Another patron approached my brother in a threatening manner in regards to the way he was training. Prior to demanding my brother leave, he was told that he may not dance while working out, that it is “gay” and that he is a man. Anytime Fitness, this is unacceptable. Compared to the communication with the other locations, this gym is not at par. I have been a member here for years not much to complain about. Since Covid19 there have been close to no updates. Also this Location froze accounts late and continued to bill, and said they will credit the account once the gym opens back up. For me thats not a problem, but for others who are financially struggling this is not good practice. I would Recommend going to the West Seattle location if you have that option, much better management.

They keep piling more equipment and new members into this tiny gym. The way they lay out their equipment lately is odd. They covered half of the mirrors with a rack in the rec room for absolutely no reason. Why not put it on the empty back wall so folks do not lose out on the already limited mirror space in this gym? There is a new person working here every other week. At least most seem knowledgeable of policies and such. Almost impossible to be able to use the bathroom anytime of day. 3 bathrooms, but typically all in use. Bathrooms stay clean. However, they use entirely too much bleach and harsh chemicals in this location. The entire weight room reeks of harsh chemicals during the day. I've had a few allergic reactions already due to the excess use of bleach. It is not safe for people to breathe bleach in general, but especially when breathing heavily while working out. Many other gyms use non-invasive chemicals. The actual owner is very nice. Though I do wish that he would instruct his employees to make better equipment placement decisions, as well as, consider doing away with some of the harsh chemicals. It'd also be nice if they'd stop signing up new members, because for weight lifters its hard to find a time during the day where you can actually have real access to equipment in order to get a good workout, because when there are just 4-5 people in this small area most useful equipment is already in use. It's nearly impossible to use either of the pulley machines. Same with T bar set-up and power racks unless you want to go at 2 a.m.

Really solid Anytime Fitness franchise gym if a bit on the small side. I've never seen it too busy in the morning or afternoon but expect it to be packed at after works hours from 5pm on. Lots of equipment, 2 power racks, a dead lift platform, free weights, circuit machines and the standard cardio equipment. Right in the shopping district of Renton too for when you need to get a few other things done like groceries.

I'm here for WORK and this is my second week in this GYM
- CLEAN (They even leave bottle with disinfectant and a rug to clean the equipment after working out)
- SMALL but well equipped. You find anything you need to perform a good workout.
- CHAalK BOARD they keep it update and they do the same with all the other boards they have
- SPINNING BIKES are located in the fitness room which is the only downside because it is small but is not a real negative aspect.
- PARKING is available right outside the gym.

I love this place. It's not nearly as packed as LA Fitness. I can actually use the equipment without having to wait 20 mintues. The equipment is very clean so I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about. Good luck finding that LA Fitness. I went to one in my home town and they were so kind and generous. I wish I could say the same here when I visited in Federal Way. The attendant was so condescending as if I was asking to join a Billionaire Yacht Club or something. I would love to join this one in Renton or Kent but my budget just won't allow me to. It is just too pricy for me. I am still using my current gym which I love for $10 a month but now it is too far for me and I need to find one close to my new place. I know one bad apple doesn't represent the whole basket. I will wait to see if the prices come down a little bit or if a 2-4 week coupon will become available. The gyms are great though.

I'm glad to say that I've found my cozy little gym. This place is not an oversized super-gym, it's not crowded and does not stink of b.o. which in my opinion is a good thing. I've been coming here for about a month now pretty regularly and I've yet to find myself waiting for a piece of equipment. The only waiting I've had to do was for an open shower, but that was only once. Their weights are always on their rack and people seem to follow common courtesy of wiping equipment after themselves. Oh, one more thing their water fountain is refreshingly delicious! the temperature is juuuuust right, too.

This gym is another fantastic example of why I have decided to stick with Anytime Fitness over other franchised gyms! This location is an incredibly clean and welcoming facility. Not only is the place completely equipped with the latest equipment (Life Fitness), but the owner, Kent, is a friendly, knowledgeable young entrepreneur! Like other Anytime Fitness locations, this gym has a perfect balance between being too large and too big--you won't feel like everybody's watching you but you also never feel completely alone. For anyone who enjoys videos or music while exercising, the WiFi here is speedy. Lastly, I'll say that the showers are some of the cleanest ones I've ever seen and I'm sure you'll agree with me if you visit here. I would definitely recommend this Anytime Fitness to anyone in the area!

The owner is friendly and almost always available for questions in the gym. They have everything I wanted except a preacher bench, but I can do without. There are 2 squat stations and 3 squat machines, which is great, since those tend to be the least available. Steady flow of people without being crowded and plenty of bikes/treadmills. Everything is brand new as of right now which is 10-18-16. Go check it out, there is even cable TV on the bikes with internet access to entertain you during your workout.
