Appreciate having this kind of β€œbootcamp” type gym around that now also offers β€œopen gym” time as well as the occasional yoga.

The bootcamp-structured classes help push and kick my butt without me having to think too hard to structure my own workouts. The key to these types of classes are to know your own limit and push yourself to improve, get stronger and fitter, only against yourself, never compare yourself to someone else and never sacrifice form.

I’m not in the best of shape and injury-prone, but always feel comfortable with Kristin. I was part of the mass federal government firings, but on the bright side, I can make it to these classes again.

Paul and Kim have really built a wonderful community here, thanks guys!

I appreciate the variety of classes focusing on different functional movements, core stability, cardio fitness, and strength. With the options of adding stretching and yoga to your weekly routine. They follow a holistic approach to fitness and strength building. Additionally, the same group classes are offered multiple times throughout the day, providing flexibility.

I purchased a pack of four classes as an introductory offer to the gym. When I showed up for my first class, I needed to change from work (I work construction, not from home) and was only given a few minutes to do so. The class of four was started without me. When I asked the instructor for more clarification on what I should be doing, he told me to "pick a side", which made no sense as I had missed probably a minute of the introduction. When I asked for clarification on what he meant, he told me that maybe this gym wasn't for me. Obviously, I left since this guy wouldn't explain and was extremely rude. Huge disappointment, I was really excited to try out this gym and I don't really understand why the instructor wasn't willing to be understanding or helpful.

Lots of variety, and friendly people! I have been coming here since August of 2022, and have made "gains" in weight loss, strength and cardio. I was already a strong hiker, but now seeing a hike take 30 mins less than it used to is exciting to see how consistency at the gym pays off in my chosen activities. I also like that I just show up and my workout has already been planned out vs. having to organize a plan. This is really important to me as I figure out the balance of the weight of extended family care, day-to-day life and self-care.

Usually I get bored of workout places but that is impossible here! Every workout is different and accessible. The instructors are so helpful with modifications or technique, they are also very encouraging and kind. I actually miss it when I can’t make my classes and even though it’s β€œonly” 45 minutes, it’s a better workout than I could ever do alone in a gym. I’m so glad I found this place, it’s a great community where anyone of any ability would feel comfortable working out.

I really like how I don't have to think about what I will do for my workout (e.g., if I was at a traditional gym or at home). Paul sets up unique and challenging circuits with a variety of exercises and I just show up and give it my all. Paul does a great job of explaining that day's routine and I do it. I also love Paul's positivity and coaching style. It's a fun, group workout setting where I don't feel like I'm competing against anyone but myself.

I've been doing private training, partner workouts, and small private classes at basepoint for the past 10 months and can't say enough great things about Paul and the workouts. As someone who's very active but has rarely done gym workouts I've seen gains in strength, stability and recovery from injury (I broke my hand back in September and credit getting back into basepoint with bouncing back so quickly). Our entire family of 4 go to Basepoint Fitness! The workouts are awesome you walk away feeling so incredible! Paul and Kim build the workout plans to touch every part of your body, your core becomes so strong which helps you in everyday life no matter what you are doing! You get a great workout, a comfortable environment and the flexibility to go at the pace that is right for you. They have stellar Covid precautions for their classes. I am never within 6ft if others, classes are crazy small, ventilation is on point and sanitization procedures are top notch.
