Love this yoga studio! I started coming here when my baby was about five months old, and it’s been such a wonderful experience.

Martina is an incredibly professional and knowledgeable instructor. She gives clear guidance, pays attention to each student’s posture, and always makes sure we practice safely. You can really tell she cares about every student’s experience. Her high expectations can feel strict at times, but that’s exactly what I need and truly appreciate. Her high standards and attention to details push me to improve while still making me feel supported and encouraged.

Martina’s classes are always fresh, well-planned, and challenging. She’s an inspiring teacher who has helped me fall in love with yoga, not just as a workout, but as a way that helps me relax and recharge.

I was looking for replacement of badminton since the first trimester. So glad I found Martina and joined the prenatal group class. She is so knowledgeable. Every class is different. It's amazing she has the perfect balance of pushing you and protecting you during pregnancy. I maintained 3 classes a week and that was a sweet spot for me to gain muscles. Highly recommend the prenatal yoga with Martina! My friend recommended me and I’ve been here since week13 of my pregnancy. Doing power yoga twice a week absolutely made my whole pregnancy much healthier and smoother. Martina would never let you down, every class is so unique and focus on different part of the body.

I first fell in love with yoga because it helped me manage tenosynovitis, but in the group classes I attended before, I was too shy to ask questions about proper alignment. I didn’t realize that I was doing some poses incorrectly—which could have harmed my body—until I met Martina at Bsod Nams Yoga.

From my very first class with Martina, I was impressed. She immediately pointed out how I could improve the transition between upward-facing dog and downward-facing dog. That level of attention and care convinced me to start my yoga journey at Bsod Nams right away.

As I continued practicing here, I began to face my weaknesses—breath, strength, and balance—and Martina guided me through each challenge with patience and expertise. One highlight for me has been the pranayama classes, which teach breath control. The benefits have been far more profound than I expected. I used to panic with my breathing during workouts, but after attending these classes, I suddenly found myself able to double the number of burpees I could do!

I’ve also noticed something inspiring: many of the expectant mothers I’ve met at this studio are some of the strongest and most skilled breath controllers I’ve ever seen.

I absolutely loved my experience with this prenatal yoga class. The instructor, Martina, is incredibly professional, holds herself and her students to high standards, and makes every session unique. I started attending prenatal yoga with Martina around 24 weeks into my pregnancy, mainly aiming to relieve pregnancy discomfort, support and speed up a natural delivery, and recover faster postpartum. Fortunately, throughout my second and third trimesters, I experienced almost
no discomfort at all, felt great, and my physical stamina improved significantly!

The breathing classes were truly helpful. During labor, I relied on breathing techniques to ease tension and relax my muscles during each cervical check. Even at 6 centimeters dilated, I didn’t feel intense pain. In the end, I had an incredibly fast natural delivery—less than 10 minutes in total. With one contraction I pushed three times, and with the second contraction, the baby was out!

I’m really looking forward to the postpartum recovery classes!

I was able to keep fit without having to worry about my baby’s safety. Being in tech, I sit many hours in front of of the computer leading to stiff shoulders, neck, and hips. Even though I am strong from weightlifting at the gym, my body just didn't feel as fluid as it used to.

Martina's classes are one of a kind - it is sort of a combination of power yoga, pilates, with lectures on posture, including training of the foot muscles. She corrects your form, you are challenged, and every class is unique and different. My snowboarding has improved, and I am more resilient to injury now.

Caveat here is that most of her classes are in Mandarin. My Mandarin is kindergarten level at best, but it's bonus for me because I've been able to improve my Mandarin skills at the same time!

I was told by my OB nurse that yoga is an excellent option to prepare for a healthy pregnancy and easy delivery. From the day I joined the class till the day before my delivery, I felt my body was getting lots of strength and endurance. Martina scheduled a 1:1 with me first to access my level, and assigned me to a group class that fits me the best. From the first class, I fell in love with the class. Martina is not only a diligent teacher, but also really cares about each of her students. I never felt bored during the class (each class has different yoga poses, it never repeat), and each class has a good level of difficulties that I become stronger after each class.
As my belly gets bigger, Martina will modify the poses to make sure they are appropriate for me. Because I was taking her class 2-3 times/week, I never had swollen feet in my 3rd trimester, and my back pain from my 1st pregnancy was also cured. I was feeling really good during my 3rd trimester, and I can't thank Martina enough for that.
The best part is the breathing class during 37-38 weeks. I had a couple 1:1 class with Martina to practice breathing, and it worked magically during labor. I arrived at the hospital at 4cm, and it progressed to 9cm in one hour. During that time, I was walking and practicing breathing I learned between each contractions. I was in control of the pain the entire time. It was a very smooth labor and my baby was born in less than 2 hours after we arrived at the hospital.
I am currently in postpartum and can't wait to return to Martina's class after 6 weeks to continue my postpartum recovery.
I strongly recommend Bsod Nams yoga to every expecting mother who is looking for prenatal yoga for a healthy pregnancy and a smooth delivery.

I have been bothered with lower back pain and numbness/tingling sensation in one leg since postpartum. I came to Martina two months after diagnosis of lumbar disk issue without any background of yoga. She gradually introduced me some common postures and positions that suitable for my physical condition. After 4 months of classes, the discomfort in my lower back and leg went away and I could do 50 burpees in a row. I’ve got a relatively stronger core to lift up heavy things and hold my 35-pound-child and walk around, which I was not able to do previously with my back issue.

I came to Martina at the end of my first trimester when I still struggled with early pregnancy reactions. I’d stopped exercise for a while and was quite weak with very little muscle mass at that time. So, I was quite anxious about everything that could have happened during my pregnancy.

Probably would have gone to a HIIT or CrossFit program if my friend didn't take me here. I had a lot of doubts at first, not just in yoga practice, but also in myself (my ability to follow through, for example). But now when I look back at my yoga journey, I am so glad that I made the decision and ventured into this little yet wonderful world filled with empowerment, fun and challenges.

I got to know Martina in 2021 through a good friend of mine. It was shortly after I gave birth to my first kid. My world had been turned upside down, my self-esteem went downhill, I had baby blues, and was deeply emotionally attached to my doula…Days back then felt like a blur, as my mind was stuck constantly wondering if my body could ever go back to the pre-baby rhythm. Then I met Martina, and all those crazy postpartum thoughts started to go away with her tough love ;)

I have been with her for a year and an half now. Through these engaging and personalized classes tailored to my goals, I have learned to embrace changes, and accept the new me. I can't tell you how self-loathing I was when I was so hung up on the old me, but I can tell you that I couldn't have been happier with my experience here. When I first signed up for classes, I didn't know if yoga was right for me. At that time, my muscle level and physical fitness began to make me doubt whether I could lose weight through exercise. Fortunately, Martina is the best trainer I have ever met. From the first class, her encouragement and sense of faith infected me. Taking classes at Bsod Nams Yoga has been the only form of exercise I've actually stuck to (over a year), and look forward to going, with seen noticeable changes in physique(lose of 30+ lbs) and overall mood.

Definitely recommend if you are looking for:
- small-sized class with customized content for different levels of people
- courses that are ever changing and never makes you bored ( I’ve been with Martina for 1 year and still learning new tricks)
- all round exercises including strength, cardio, flexibility, balance etc
- option to be remote
