The equiptment is in great condition, there is a really great variety of machines for workouts that require more specialized equiptment. The gym staff are friendly and very helpful it's a great environment to come in and get your workout in and it's in a very convenient location too. The price is GREAT too!

I want give a huge shout-out to Jared, my personal trainer. Training with him has been awesome. He’s not only super easygoing and fun to be around, but he’s also incredibly attentive to all the little details of my progress. He really knows how to push me just the right amount—never too much, never too little—and he always keeps my injuries and goals in mind. Honestly, he’s made working out something I actually look forward to. If you’re looking for someone who’s both professional and laid-back, Jared’s your guy!

Good gym. I'm grateful for affordable gym in our community. It definitely gives people of all ages and fitness levels opportunity to better themselves. Not to mention encouraging our youth to make positive choices in their lives.
However Zumba class on Fridays at 5:30 pm has an excessively loud music and this needs to be brought to management's attention. We're all paying to make our time at the gym enjoyable.

I joined Crunch in July and began training with Jared. He’s a wonderful trainer and has helped me with reaching my fitness goals as if they were his own. Very professional and attentive. I highly recommend.

The gym itself is decent. The staff have poor customer service. Extremely poor. Someone needs to bridge knowledge gaps on how to serve the people paying to be members at the gym. Deion is cool though and the most friendly person I've interacted with that works there.

I wanted to love this place (and did for a while), as the variety of machines available is pretty good (even if the quantity of some is limited) and the location of the gym itself is very convenient for me.
The gym itself is fine. It's the billing, customer service, and communication that need a lot of work in my opinion.
My attempt to cancel was horrendous. I had my card info stolen and had to get a new one - due to this, and the fact that I just wasn't using the gym as much as I had prior, I decided to cancel, well before the next charge period.
I went in person, asked to cancel, and was told that they did it for me. I asked for confirmation there would be no additional charges, and I was assured there would not be. Instead of canceling, they eventually sent me to collections for "unpaid charges", despite the fact I had paid every single month up until I canceled, and had no additional bills sent to me and absolutely zero attempt from them to contact me (no emails, no phone calls, no snail mail, absolutely nothing). This was OVER A YEAR after I had canceled that I was sent to collections by them. You would think that they would at least attempt contact - or even realize that it was their own mistake? Especially as they were continuing to try and charge a card that did not even exist anymore (so I wasn't even getting notifications of it via my bank!). If I had KNOWN they were attempting to charge me, despite me being told my account was canceled and closed, I would have sorted it out with them the first time they tried to charge me.
After getting the letter, I wound up calling them to see if my account had ever been canceled and the man on the phone seemed shocked and said no, and that it had been sent to collections. I asked him to PLEASE make sure that the account was actually closed after briefly explaining the entire situation. He had me speak to a manager location who, also unfortunately, seemed to not care at all and was pretty rude about the whole thing, "not our fault or problem".
It seems like others in the reviews have had similar difficulties with getting their membership canceled, and it is really a shame. I was so excited when they had opened as it was on my way between work and home and in an area easy for access for me.
In addition, the locker rooms were clean when I started going here, but my most recent visits included visible grime on tiled areas and in the showers (shower heads for example).
I never really had issue with any of the other guests, and my friends that used to go hadn't either. However, multiple of my female friends told me about disrespectful and rude behavior towards them from some of the male staff, which made them stop going altogether and also canceling their memberships.
I would strongly suggest seeking membership at a different gym. Due to health issues I have not yet joined another, but I will never give my business to Crunch again.

Gym itself is fine no real problems. Bathrooms are generally icky but the most discouraging thing is the customer service. Most of the front desk gals are just so unfriendly and unwelcoming. Rarely ever speak or smile. Feels personal cause it’s always the same ones but then see them being friendly to others despite how much i speak or appear friendly and welcoming. Doesn’t feel good.

I recently re-started my fitness journey at this Crunch Fitness location and I have received nothing but excellent service since joining. My personal trainer, Jared, is awesome. He is attentive, helpful, and puts me through the ringer while ensuring I don't harm myself in the process. With Jared's assistance I genuinely feel like I'm on the right track to achieving my goals. Couldn't ask for a better personal trainer!

Pros: good selection of equipment/free weights, friendly crowd, nice staff. Cons: music is way too loud (can hear over my own music with earbuds, which is distracting), soap frequently empty in bathroom sinks/showers.

Got the most expensive gym membership 34.99$/month with military discount and went twice before realizing I did not have the time to go, so I canceled my membership after 3 weeks. I canceled within the 10 day window of my next billing cycle so I knew I would be charged for May. June rolls around and I was billed 55$ and an additional 34.99 (even though I was suppose to receive the military discount) when I was under the impression I canceled my membership the month prior. The manager then informs me that even though I was paying for the month to month membership there is a 60 day minimum and that the 55$ was for the annual fee and it is non refundable even though I canceled my membership only having gone twice and after less than a month of signing up.
The gym was fine- dealing with canceling and the additional charges was not. Don’t call a membership month to month and then require a minimum amount of days to be signed up.

Been a member at the gym for exactly a week, had $200 stolen out of my wallet from the locker room. My bad for not having a lock but they tell me after I must have dropped it, what kind of idiot drops 200 in cash, but I guess I left it unattended in the locker. Not a very safe gym atmosphere I guess. If you get a membership don't leave any personal belongings in locker room while you workout, just leave it in your car.

Gym has a lot of space, but the machines are old they should def try to bring new equipment and try to remodel the gym, some of their equipment is broken and they take a long time to fix, also the restrooms are horrible not cleaned, sometimes there’s no soap, staff is friendly, if it wasn’t for the contract I would of changed gyms

I don't like to give negative reviews. But I am unable to hold back this time. My attempt to cancel my membership was truly awful.
After about 9 months as a member I tried to cancel my membership numerous times: by email, by phone, and in person. After the 12th month they charged me an additional annual fee for a second year. When I complained the manager said "I don't care."
Truly awful experience. I would discourage anyone from signing up with Crunch.

It’s the way they double charged me, admitted to overcharging me, then ghosted me after I moved. I sent my banking statement for a refund AGAIN. At first they said it was a “maintenance fee” …. Despite being charged another $54 for the annual fee the very next month.
When I pointed out they charged me additional fees two months in a row and asked for an explanation, all the sudden they couldn’t see the charge I was referring too, despite the fact it is on my banking statement.

Most of the staff is pleasant. However, they have poor business practices when it comes to personal training. We signed up over a year ago for personal training (the only physical contract I signed), then life got in the way and we had to freeze the training. When the freeze was up, the first 2 times I received a phone call asking what I wanted to do. Well this last time we were charged without so much as a phone call. When asked about it I was told the “signed” contract renews and sorry you are out $400. Just poor business practice for keeping customers happy, but guess they don’t care. They have their money!

Staff is kind and very helpful. The memberships are a great deal. They have a massive variety of equipment, but people frequently use the most popular pieces of equipment as chairs, conversation areas, and places to pose in the mirror.
There are about 20 treadmills but only two freeweight squat cages and only two flat bench presses. This creates a bottleneck because those are the two core lifts for most serious lifters, unless you add deadlifts.
The bottleneck becomes super apparent during busy times or when you get two sets of lifters who take ultra long (gazing into the mirror) breaks between sets, so they occupy the bench or squat cage for 15-20 minutes for a total of 4-8 sets combined.
If you want to work into their sets then you have to interrupt their routine, change their weights out, put your weights on, do your set, then put their weights back on. It's kinda a pain for everyone involved. If you genuinely want to get fit, you might have to avoid the popular times because that best equipment is occupied by people on their cell phones.
SOLUTION 1: Establish and enforce a gym etiquette where people keep the weights moving rather than take long breaks to admire themselves in the mirror or check social media on their phones.
SOLUTION 2: Buy more squat racks, bench presses, and other pieces of super popular equipment.

A couple days leading up to Halloween they had a scavenger hunt, the goal was to find a skeleton. I found a skeleton and my prize was a hour with a personal trainer.
A couple days later I went to meet up with said trainer, we went over my fitness goals. My goal since i started going to the gym was to gain weight. When I started going to the gym I was very underweight. Over the past year or so I've gained about 10 pounds in muscle, which I'm very proud of, though I still have a long way to go to reach my goal. I made sure to inform the trainer I was working with of my goal of gaining weight, and of my history of being underweight. I told her my lowest was 98 pounds.
I thought we'd discuss different ways to achieve my goal, instead I was told I should lose 11 pounds.
The last time I weighed myself I was 114 pounds, I'm nearly 5'6".
The computer system used to calculate what my fitness goals should be, went off of my BMI ( so, so very outdated and wrong. I am a BMI hater) and did not calculate any other factors. Not to mention there was a big push for me to get personal training 3 days a week at $45 a session.
All and all it didn't feel like a scavenger hunt, it felt like a push for more profit along with a guilt trip about my apparent extra 11 pounds.
This instance and others is why I canceled my membership.
Other instances include:
1.) The older gentleman who stands 4 feet away from me when I squat and stares and my booty.
2.) The blonde lady who will run up to me and my partner, tell me I'm deadlifting wrong mid set, and proceed to hit on my partner.
3.) The older gentlemen (AGAIN) who will stand over me ( shirtless) while I'm benching.
Overall some of the gym goers lack understanding of personal space and morals, and the staff only understand getting profits up and moral down.
Any people still willing to go, don't do the scavenger hunt, don't bring your partner, and ladies watch out for the older shirtless gentlemen, he is a nightmare reincarnate.

Great gym full of young, fit people. Music is good, but sometimes they play dubstep (loud) and it’s a bit much…
I asked real nice to have someone check on the hot water not working. They said they would leave a note for the manager. I signed up for the gym for the showers. I am a week in, cold showers and cold environment. No word back. Clearly, they don’t want to fix it.

Been going here for a month. There’s been two mornings that they didn’t open at 0700 on a weekend. Waited till 0730 then left because of it not opening. Now this morning it’s 0540 and they are suppose to open at 0500. It snowed this morning so I’d imagine a couple minutes late but now 45 minutes late. Unacceptable. FYI pre workout is setting in, didn’t want to take pre for fun this morning. But the gym itself is clean and the equipment is nice.

Good gym and equipment. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is good - people are typically respectful and willing to help. The women's changing room is very clean and there are always available lockers. Only deducting a star because it can get so busy in the afternoons that it's hard to find available equipment. Find the right time to go and it's a dependable place to meet your workout needs 👍

Plenty of better gyms around town with way better trainers, equipment, and customer service. Half the facility is just ellipticals and treadmills, they only have one more two squat racks and no deadlift platform. It’s a scam in my opinion. They won’t budge on refunds even for special circumstances. Got charged a $60 annual membership fee the same day I was cancelling my membership and they say they couldn’t refund it (even though I won’t be attending at all for the whole year? Crazy). Haven’t stepped foot in here in months due to having a difficult birth, and although not as surprising, they wouldn’t refund me for that either. They said it was against policy but I think it’s just a way to get more money out of people as I’ve had other gyms go against their “policy” to refund me because they know its wrong. Won’t be coming back, my advice is go to a real gym instead.

First they told me the joining fee discount was expired but yet it's still available online.
Then we got through the entire sign up process today for my 15 year old and I, after entering my credit card for both of us we were informed that my 15 year old was not allowed to have his own membership "It's a brand new rule" despite that 5 minutes earlier they asked his age and it was no problem and he has 1/2 a dozen 15 year old friends from school that have memberships, some of which signed up this week! He's crushed because some manager is hiding behind a camera and changing rules on the fly and he can't go lift with his buds. 🤨
I'd specifically asked at the beginning of sign ups that there was some waiver I could sign so he could come with out me, and when asked his age was told no problem. I wish I could give them zero stars!
There will be hell to pay if I find a charge on my credit card 😡

I’ve been coming here for about a year now and I haven’t regretted my choice once. Best overall gym in the area by far. The trainers are great, I talk to them almost every time I’m in there (a lot) and they’ve always been super friendly and easy to talk to. Even the people that work out there are nice. I’ve met a lot of great people that help push me and meet my goals. Equipment is in good condition and there’s not too long of a wait, even at peak hours. Not going to say another squat rack wouldn’t be nice, but that’s probably my only complaint. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Been trying to cancel for years. Phone calls lead nowhere and I end up frustrated and hanging up. Website is useless because even though I used it to make my account, I can't seem to get back in because I "don't have an account". Only option is to go in in person and I either don't remember or have no time to do that. Make it easier to cancel and maybe stop charging after someone hasn't come by in three years. Absolutely ridiculous and not the first time they've screwed me, because similar happened when they signed us up when it started and then charged us for a gym that wasn't built yet, then delayed building the gym for two years.

The gym facilities themselves are adequate. The staff is friendly. The charges are fictional. When you sign you up on one of those low cost initial enrollments, they really need to point out that 60 days later they’re gonna charge you an extra $55 for your annual fees. They don’t mention them when you’re signing up but they exist, they are in the fine print. It seems irresponsible for them to not point that out. I was a member of Planet Fitness for years and never had these kind of consistent charging issues. The drive to planet fitness is longer but I am considering switching back.

Dirty, unhygienic S-hole! Save your time, money, and health by signing up with a gym that invests in quality and cleanliness...especially during a pandemic. The pictures are across multiple visits. If you're considering this gym, for your own health and wellbeing - DON'T. Ended up canceling my membership due to these consistently unsanitary conditions. Consider Planet Fitness in Bremerton, Snap Fitness in Silverdale, or The Yard in Kingston.

I have been a member since the gym opened. It was a great addition to the community, especially for people that wanted another option besides the YMCA. Over time, the management has changed multiple times and employees rotate out quickly. My biggest issue with the gym is the cleanliness and out of order/old equipment. For example, the women's locker room has visible grime on the tiles (especially under the hand dryers) and the one soap dispenser is laying on the counter. I also noticed that when I walked in this past week there were about 5 or 6 employees just hanging out at the front desk. Why aren't they cleaning the bathrooms or going around refilling the many empty bottles of sanitizer? I also am super frustrated that after the 5 years since the gym has opened, nothing has been updated or replaced. Cable attachments are old, the cable machines are routinely out of order, and there never seems to be any investing in to new gym equipment (i.e. standing calf raise machine or a hip thrust machine). Another issue I have is the lack of air circulation. Over the summer, the AC was on and it felt comfortable to workout. Now it is stuffy and feels almost humid. Would be helpful to have the air circulating to make it a more comfortable experience. I did appreciate the staff's effort over the summer to create an outside workout environment. It was clever and I was able to take off my mask. For $10.00 and some change, it does the trick. But if you have worries about catching COVID (they don't regulate people not wearing masks), want a clean environment with working and updated equipment, this might not be your place.

My friend referred me to this gym and gave me a 3 day pass. I tried the yoga class which was ok, same with the hydromassage. I was planning on trying them both again before making my decision on which membership I wanted. I received SEVERAL emails from the facility. When I received one titled "Don't Wait Any Longer!" I replied and asked them to stop spamming me, that I wasn't done with my 3 day pass, as I was still deciding which membership I wanted. They immediately sent me an email saying my pass has been REVOKED. I am so glad I didn't make a decision yet because I would hate to give my money to a power tripping company such as Crunch in Silverdale. You lost my business and I'll be sure to let my friend who gave me the referral know how I was treated.

Great customer service everyone there is really helpful with providing you with the information for choosing the best plan/subscription. I love the environment there and you can even find out how many people are there so you can choose when the best time to go for you. I haven't been to any classes but they have plenty of options to choose from.

Classroom is too hot for doing anything other than yoga. I was told that this will not change their trying to have a happy medium in that room. In the workout area though it is nice and air-conditioned

Small and crowded. I canceled my membership 2 days into it, and per their contract I was entitled to a full refund. No refund was issued. No communication and no customer service. I followed their agreement, but they couldn’t care less. No help from the local office or their headquarters.

Solid gym. Lot of equipment especially if you lift. Can be crowded during busy times but that's the same everywhere. Haven't used the showers or really the bathrooms either so can't attest to that. Employees are nice and friendly. Most people have common decency to wear their masks even if it's a pain, but sometimes not enough enforcement during quieter times. Overall good gym.

In Bremerton preparing to move here. Crunch gave me a 3 day free pass to test out the gym. Gym is very clean and many options as far as equipment. Free weight area is slightly small. Employees were really polite. The gym is also in a good location.

We tried to get my sons bill figured out for him and the general manager at the Silverdale store spoke to my wife and his tone was very load and belligerent. He also stated he can say what ever he wanted and told my wife that that’s his touf luck instead of having some compassion he tried to say she was bullying him by giving me the phone when the only words I said was. Are you done yet because he was speaking so fast and loud he was nuts.

Employees are friendly, but are often on their phones and don't seem very active around the space. Equipment is generally well maintained. There is a large variety of machines and stations, but not enough free weight benches or racks for traditional lifts.

They have a lot of machines and the front staff is friendly when you enter and leave. As long as everything is status quo they are friendly. Otherwise, their customer service is awful. They entered my bank account information wrong when I signed up. So 2 months later when I got notification of a problem I gave them my debit card information which they apparently didn’t keep on file. A few months later I get a notice from a collection company on behalf of Crunch. When I asked the manager Derek why I didn’t get a phone call or notice in the mail from the gym he rudely told me he isn’t responsible for my finances. I just thought a courtesy call would have been appreciated. I would have loved to work it out and become a long term customer but I will take my business elsewhere.

This is easily the best gym in kitsap county, it has a little bit of everything and caters to an extremely broad spectrum of fitness needs. The staff are wonderful and typically very outgoing and helpful with members as well as constantly trying to create fun ways for the fitness community to interact with each other in the form of various events and competitions. Also the facility is always clean and inviting which is a huge necessity during this whole Covid timeframe!

MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE! I signed up for two annual memberships and when I wanted to cancel them they told I had to do it in person - which is fine, so I came in in Feb to cancel the membership that was good through July. To cancel my son's I had to bring him in and sign papers. Then August rolls around and I am charged again for membership! So I call and am told that my papers signed in Feb were not valid and didn't cancel my membership? Why then was I asked to come in? AND on the phone I was told I am the rude person. He literally Hung up on me, and then, after I called back said, "Your membership is canceled please don't call again" and "You're not getting any money back, we win this in court all the time." I would avoid this establishment at all costs!

Wanted to pay for a month membership at a high quality gym. Told by Derrick, presumably the owner, they don't do month-to-month memberships. No biggie, I'll pay whatever inflated price for the month, due to it being the closest gym in the area. Never got a figure given to me because Derrick turned his back and refused to have a conversation like an adult, let alone a business owner. Take your money to The Factory, a gym with respectable humans running their establishment.

I have been a member of Crunch for about a year now. It is not a terrible gym for the price however the reason for my 2 star rating comes down to 3 main complaints: 1) They charge you to downgrade your membership but not to upgrade; this is a very clear tactic to nickel and dime as it takes no extra time to do one over the other. 2) In my year attendance and numerous requests for new equipment not a single new addition has been added; I have requested spin bikes as well as a half-back chair for the past 8 months and not a single piece of new equipment has been added at all (even if they don't add what I request, I have seen no new additions, even one extra bench would be helpful). 3) Three cables have been broken and out of order for 2 months; not to mention whenever the leg press or Smith machine are out of order it consistently takes weeks or months to be repaired and with the gym's population as high as it is even one piece of the right equipment being out of order can ruin consistency in a routine let-alone for 2 months.
With the HIGH number of memberships I expect there should be a high enough revenue generation to maintain gym equipment in a timely manner and not aim policy away from the member.
After being charged to downgrade my membership I was still charged the upgraded price on it the next month.
They do not have their system in order.
I have converted to The Factory and it is fantastic.

I recently went back after being gone for for two months. I was very pleased to find new faces at the front desk who are professional and very nice. The cleaning solutions were ALL filled which was nice. The floors seemed cleaner than before. I ❤ when the front desk acknowledges you from the time you walk in and leave they say goodbye! That's a nice touch. Overall, I'm pleased very satisfied with Crunch. It's like family because the staff are welcoming!

Only giving 3 stars because the locker room doesn't seem to be swept or vacuumed, because there is always lint and threads on the floor. Showers don't seem to be taken care of properly, because we have hard water the shower heads are caked with minerals. The staff is great though, they are all friendly and have an upbeat attitude. If you are not familiar with a piece of equipment they will help you learn how to use it properly.

This gym is completely unorganized. They seem to go through employees very quickly, there’s no communication between front desk and management, no one at the front desk ever has answers to your questions. Billing issues also occur and they don’t let you know. I’d give it zero stars if I could.
