Best studio, nicest owners, well trained instructors - what isn’t there to love about Eclipse? I always feel welcomed, and with the variety of class offerings and events there’s always something going on. There’s a clear why reason they always win Inland’s best!

I started coming to Eclipse right after they reopened following COVID. At the time, I was at one of the lowest points in my life both physically and mentally. The first day I walked in, full of fear, Erin greeted me with such warmth that I immediately felt seen and comfortable.
The practice at Eclipse has truly changed my life in ways I never expected. It inspired me to share yoga with others, so I enrolled in the teacher training program offered by Erin and the studio and it was hands down one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It was challenging and required me to dig deep, but it also opened me up to the parts of yoga that go far beyond the physical.
Through that process, I realized I’d been hiding parts of myself for years. After the training, I began showing up as my true, authentic self, something I hadn’t done in a very long time.
❤️This place, and the community within it, have become my family. I am endlessly grateful for Erin and Eclipse Power Yoga ❤️

Updating my review after teaching here for many years now. Wish I had six stars! This is my family, my home away from home, my source of constant growth. Like any family, we are not perfect, but we keep striving to be better, find more ways to give back to the greater Spokane community, and continue pushing forward in our own personal growth.
💓Our journey never ends💓

***This review reflects my personal experience. I understand others may have had different ones and I respect that. However, because I previously attempted to share feedback on a public forum form my personal experience that did not stay publicly visible for long, I feel it is important to try again especially since the studio speaks often about the value of honesty, (giving and receiving) feedback, and “being in the work.”
I truly love the practice of power yoga. The practice itself is strong, transformative work, and for years it has kept me grounded. That is why it is hard to write this review, but I also feel it is important for anyone considering spending a significant amount of money on training to hear another perspective.
I was not only a student at this studio but also had experience with the teacher training. While the physical practice was meaningful, the culture surrounding the studio often felt more like a spectacle than a community. The owner frequently preached authenticity and “showing up as your authentic self,” yet in reality there was heavy pressure to fit into a very narrow box of what a “perfect teacher” should be. When I voiced concerns or suggested making the program more supportive with a disclaimer, the conversations were often avoided or danced around, and it felt very uncomfortable. That said, I always respected that the owners get to make the decisions they believe are best, even when I disagreed so I just let it go.
One example is a weekend of “deep inner child work.” The owner would say things like, “I can’t wait to crack people open.” This kind of emotional work can be heavy, scary, and deeply triggering, especially when led by someone who is not a therapist or qualified to facilitate trauma processing in a group setting. I witnessed people pressured into sharing painful experiences they were not ready to unpack and often ostracized if they chose not to share, and many walked away feeling more traumatized than supported once the training concluded.
Since leaving, I have been reached out to by many trainees after me wondering why their own experience also felt so intense, why they felt pushed out, and why they left feeling so unsettled. At the time, I did not have the words. I was still healing myself and wanting to believe I had moved on.
I share this now not from a place of anger but because I do not want anyone else to have that experience without being able to make an informed decision. When done right, I wholeheartedly believe this training is valuable and empowering. The lead trainer whom I worked with when I was learning never pressured anyone to share personal experiences. If someone did not want to share, we moved on and dove into yoga anatomy, cueing, or other practical skills. When misused, however, the training can be damaging and deeply disappointing.
Outside of training, I won’t deny the community here what it has given people. I have seen students walk into a class feeling heavy or uncertain and leave feeling stronger, lighter, and more connected to themselves. That is the beauty of YOGA and what a studio can provide. For me, though, the studio lost its luster once I experienced the teacher training side. What once felt empowering started to feel performative, and it no longer aligned with the reasons I came to my mat in the first place.
This practice itself is beautiful and powerful, but the container matters just as much as the content. If you are considering this or any training, I encourage you to look closely at the culture, talk to past trainees, and make sure it aligns with what YOU need.

I am updating my review because I took teacher training at Eclipse and I have had nothing but good feedback (and occasional groans for difficulty 😂) from my students. Everything I learned, I learned from yoga teacher training at Eclipse. When I was in teacher training, there wasn’t the mentorship program yet, and I took the training while also working full time. It was not easy, and it asked a lot of us in terms of digging deep into old patterns and seeing aspects of ourselves that were tough to see. Many of the practices that might feel like therapy were actually things that really helped me break through and truly find myself. I LOVE teaching at Eclipse. I love the freedom to teach how I like, with the music that I love, and I’ve never felt anything but supported in my teaching journey. The ability to be authentically me in a space that I feel is part of my art in the world is such a gift. I understand that everyone has their own narrative and that our emotions around things often allow us to create whatever beliefs we choose to hold, and that’s the beauty of humanity, but I only have positive things to say about Eclipse. I had only ever practiced Hatha and was too scared to try power before Eclipse, and the inclusive and supportive nature of the studio allowed for me to grow in ways I’d never had imagined in my practice.
And one aside, in regard to alignment and the physiology aspects, I just practiced by someone who has been teaching yoga (ashtanga and power) for over ten years, a few weeks ago and they commented on the perfection of my alignment in poses. I was actually out of alignment in almost EVERY pose in subtle ways before I took teacher training, and I’ve told everyone since that every yogi should take a teacher training for alignment reasons alone! In any case, as someone who is pretty aware of my own foibles when it comes to perspective, and leans toward being the curious observer of myself and the world, I found teacher training at Eclipse to be invaluable, and I still love practicing there!
4-years ago review:
I honestly don’t have words for how wonderful this studio is. I’ve been a member of quite a few studios and none compares. The owners, Erin and Scott, and just wonderful people. Each and every one of the teachers is perfection, with their own style of teaching. Most of all, it feels like home, like a real Community, where you can show up, just as you are, and feel safe to be yourself, and work through your stuff, whatever that may be. There are morning and evening options for classes, and it’s just a wonderful place. I am so very grateful that this studio is here. I’ve taken classes from every teacher, and there’s not one I wouldn’t recommend. I’ve also gotten a lot of tips and recommendations from staff as I work through and old shoulder injury and already I am able to do things I couldn’t before. Long story short, you should absolutely join this community!!

I have been practicing at Eclipse for four years and teaching for just over one year. To say this place is haven and home for me is an understatement. When my husband and son dealt with major health scares this year, it was my community at Eclipse that lifted me up. If I’m ever doubting myself, my practice and the people here remind me that I am strong. My favorite thing about Eclipse is the way we are asked to show up as ourselves, to ditch the masks society asks us to wear, and to carry that authenticity off the mat, and into daily life. If you are looking for a practice that will empower and support your whole self, Eclipse is the place for you!

A couple of years ago, I completed the Empowered U teacher training at Eclipse Power Yoga, and reflecting back now, I could not be more grateful. I didn’t join with the intention of teaching — I simply wanted to deepen my own practice. What I didn’t expect was how transformative the experience would be on every level.
The program not only strengthened my body and understanding of yoga, but also opened my heart and mind. The deep friendships, loyal support, and genuine encouragement I found through this training continue to impact my life today. The self-reflection and personal growth that came through this journey were truly life-changing.
Erin and The Eclipse Power Yoga Team create a safe, empowering, and uplifting space that helps you see what’s possible — both on and off the mat. I’m so thankful for the teachers and the community who make Empowered U such an extraordinary experience. 🙏❤️ #shineonspokane

I have been attending this yoga studio for 4 years and it is FANTASTIC!! And before this place I really disliked yoga generally. The yoga instructor training is excellent, and though not all graduates are great instructors several have really become the BEST! I have met fellow yogis that travel 30-45 minutes just to come to this studio. No judgement, full explanations of adjustments to poses, and invitations to modify basically any pose are regularly offered. Recent one-star reviews appear to be a smear campaign, coordinated by a dissolusioned ex-member or ex-instructor. Look at the history of reviews over time.

The studio is warm and inviting (no pun intended 😆) and the instructors feel like family, always welcoming everyone with open arms. Erin does a great job building a real sense of community. The beginners’ boot camp years ago was soooo informative and I’ve loved yoga ever since, hands down the best yoga in town!

I have had such a beautiful experience at Eclipse. I met the owner at a women’s networking event who was an absolute joy to be around and she invited me to come take a class. I ended up coming to a restorative class with a friend(never having taken this type of yoga class before) and was delighted by the instructor and the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!
Erin, the owner, has buit something extremely special with Eclipse. I have practiced yoga on and off for years and have always felt judged. Not at Eclipse. This studio welcomes students at all levels and ages. It is truly a judgment free zone and a studio that focuses on helping students grow and building community.
Not only does Eclipse offer great classes with the best instructors, they continually give back to the community through fundraisers and donating to causes/organizations that are close to students' hearts.
I have taken more than 200 classes and can't wait to take 200 more.

Eclipse Power Yoga is something special. Erin, Scott and their entire team have created a space that feels intentional, welcoming, and full of heart. You can feel the care and community the moment you walk in. It’s not just about yoga, it’s about connection and growth.
One of the things that really sets Eclipse apart is that there are no mirrors in the studio. It’s such a beautiful reminder that your practice is personal…not about comparison or judgment, but about presence.
If you’re new to yoga or even a little nervous, don’t be with Eclipse. This is exactly the kind of space where you’ll feel supported from the moment you arrive.
I’m so grateful this studio exists right here in Spokane, created by people who genuinely love this community.

I absolutely adored this studio. When I first started going, it was inviting, empowering and gave me a strong sense of community. I participated in the events they hosted, went on a retreat and built bonds with some of the teachers.
Last year, I was approached by the owner who encouraged me to take the teacher training. I felt so flattered and seen by her - I had never considered teaching yoga but had fallen deeply in love with my practice and thought she must see something in me. I felt special. I was on the fence for the months leading up to the training. I couldn’t really afford it and I still wasn’t convinced I wanted to teach. But she and other teachers kept encouraging me to do it, and after attending their retreat In Sedona, I decided I wanted to be part of giving back what I had received from going to the studio. The first day of the training, we all shared why we were taking the training and the majority of us had the same story - the owner had approached us to do it. The training was at times really good, but we never knew what to expect from one weekend to the next. There was no itinerary given that would help us plan accordingly. That seemed to be just how they wanted it. We did a lot of group therapy exercises which felt really strange - the facilitators were not trained in this type of work, and I never felt any sense of resolve at the end of these sessions. It felt awkward and uncomfortable. But I had committed so I tried to keep a positive attitude. At one point towards the end, due to the deep personal work we had been pushed to do, one of the students had a rough weekend and got angry and left. When I spoke with the owner about it, her attitude was that this person needed to apologize to everyone. At no point was she curious enough to talk to the student about their experience- the owner took the stance that this person must not be “doing the work”. I was shocked by this, because it contradicted everything we were being taught in training, and what I had believed the studio stood for. By the end of the training, none of us felt equipped to teach. I felt like I had somehow failed along the way, but when I added up the hours we had spent in classes, with homework, and the 10 sections we had practiced teaching, it was around 120 hours (being generous). We were promised 200 hours, and we received just over half of that. With that realization, and the lack of support at the end of training, it all started feeling more like a money grab than a quality educational course.
I tried talking to the owner but knew from others experiences that she would likely not be willing. She said she was willing to hear my feedback but canceled our meeting and never reached out again to reschedule. I have left the studio, and miss the way it used to be before I knew what I know now. We were taught to “have the hard conversations” but when some of us tried to do that, the door was closed.
If you just want to practice yoga, and find a community of fellow students and teachers who love yoga, this is not a bad option. But I would highly recommend doing some research before taking the teacher training course. I wish I’d talked to more people who’d done it. I’m not posting this to slam the studio. I just want other people to know what they’re getting into before they spend a lot of money and time on something that might feel rather hollow and disappointing at the end.

After discovering yoga at the cathedral in February, I took a leap and spent the month of March exploring different classes and instructor styles at the beautiful Eclipse studio with the new student introduction pass. I was immediately hooked! Eclipse is the perfect place to rediscover a part of yourself and grow your yoga confidence is a very kind and supportive environment. I am about 40 classes in and still feel like each class presents new opportunities for me to work up a great sweat and grow my yoga poses with each instructor I have taken class from. Extra HUGE bonus- I'm a teacher and there is an amazing discount on the unlimited yoga pass for educators and other important community members. Thank you, thank you to Erin and Scott, the owners, for creating such a beautiful place for Spokane to fall in love with all the incredible benefits of practicing yoga! I 100% recommend anyone and everyone give yoga a try!

Plus, the studio is very involved in giving back to the Inland Northwest, from donation-only classes that benefit nonprofits to offering free community classes. Love it!

Eclipse Power Yoga has changed my life. I always had it in my head that I didn’t like yoga, but after doing the month special here I was hooked. You walk into the door and are welcomed by an amazing instructor and the feeling of community truly surrounds you. The environment is calm and accepting and you never feel judged which was always how I felt when attending other studios, like I wasn’t good enough at yoga to be there. My first experience with yoga was at Eclipse after having a friend convince me to check it out. Of course, I was nervous for the first class, as I didn't know any of the poses or what it would be like. I was instantly welcomed into the Eclipse family and community with open arms. The teachers make a point of getting to know you by name, the classes are fun and challenging and they offer so many different opportunities to do yoga outside of the studio (Yoga in the Wild, Yoga at the Pavilion, etc.), as well as great monthly challenges.
