About the Club

Evergreen Strength focuses primarily on functional fitness, olympic weightlifting and cross training. We work with outdoor enthusiasts including mountain bikers, skiers/snowboarders and weekend warriors. We also work with those who have physically demanding jobs like fire fighters, cops and those who want to perform and feel their best! Evergreen strength trains 1 on 1 with athletes and runs a small group “Mountain Sport” class hosted at Iron Industry Athletics.

This is a special gym with attentive, kind coaches, a friendly atmosphere, and fun/challenging workouts. I have a brain injury from biking and emailed inquiring about the noise level in the studio when I moved to town. A few months passed and I signed up for a class- Elijah introduced himself to me and noted he turned the volume down and asked how it was for my head. I hadn’t marked anything about my noise sensitivity when I signed up for my class, so they must have marked it on a prospective profile for me months before when I inquired and were thoughtful to adjust to me when I came to try.

I’m moving back to Bend soon and am sad to not have this gym nearby anymore. If they ever want to open a satellite location - I hope they do it in Bend !

This is the best gym I’ve ever been to! The coaches are super knowledgeable, friendly and the workouts are very well thought out. The coaches are always there to help with form or adjust the program to accommodate your body needs.

I have been struggling with lower back pain for years and was to the point that I wasn't doing the fun things I love to do anymore. I have always relied on mountain adventures and random YouTube workouts to keep me strong. Private coaching with Jacob Romano has helped build confidence, find my weaknesses, focus on form, and strengthen muscles in a way that I was unable to attain on my own. He is so attentive and teaches proper form in a gentle and approachable manner. He is happy to modify the exercises if they cause pain or don’t feel good. Within weeks I shed some excess weight, gained confidence and do the things I love like run, bike and climb with no low back pain. Thanks Jake! I look forward to continuing to work privately with Jake in addition to the group classes.

Struggling with how to explain how much I love this gym in a way that doesn't feel contrived or corny, but alas. The atmosphere is approachable, fun, challenging, and safe. The coaches do an incredible job of making everyone feel informed and at ease. Also, if you are looking to really ramp up your progress, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend working 1:1 with Jacob Romano. Not only have I made incredible and steady progress over the last year, I have learned so much about my body mechanics from him and have successfully avoided any injuries. GO!!

Amazing training for those of us who really don't dig on "training"... The staff are great folks who are interested in helping outside people do the outside better, safer, stronger, and longer. The energy is always welcoming and supportive, movements are well explained and tailored as needed to individuals. Other clients are happy to be there too, even when we were all dreading getting up. I've always left much, much happier than I arrived, and intend to keep the momentum going!

Not enough stars! I started going to evergreen as PT for a knee injury, and I never stopped going. As a women, it's amazing to go to a gym and feel welcomed and find community, instead of being met with stares from creepy gym jocks. I love being able to strength train and work on things im not good at or don't feel strong on, and have the space and encouragement to feel comfortable trying. I can 100% feel how much stronger I've gotten through the sports I do, and that alone has been so worth it! Training my uper body and core has helped my skiing, biking, and running- I feel so much more solid when skiing/biking steeps. The coaches are bad a$$, the gym is clean and cozy, and the community is unparalleled.

Great experience here, I did a few months of training with Elijah while recovering from an arm injury. He was great at pushing me further along in my fitness goals, while remaining conscious of my injury , and suggesting several different ways of doing things. A lot of great emphasis on mobility and functional movement, as well as strength. Highly recommended for classes (they look fun) or individual training.

Honestly not really a gym guy but this place has changed my mind on how welcoming and fun a gym can be while still being challenging. The coaches are great and genuinely care about their clients and are constantly working around and modifying workouts for me and others when we are injured. Not being locked into a plan and choosing a monthly membership half the time then a punch card while traveling is another added bonus as well!

Fantastic gym, friendly and down-to-earth coaches with a great programming structure. I run through a training cycle for about 2 months to prep for snowboarding every year, and this year I went with Evergreen because Elijah, Brandon, Amy and the whole squad are great accountabilibuddies! Best gym in town! I've never been one to regularly go to workout classes, and have always relied on mountain adventures for keeping me strong, but these classes have helped strengthen the muscles I use in the sports I do. I enjoy mountain biking and try to ride as much as possible, always striving to improve, so the mountain sport class has been the perfect fit for me. Look no further -- Elijah's your guy. I moved to Bellingham fresh out of PT for an injured knee. After only 90 days under his wing, I noticed large scale improvements in my core and knee strength. Programming is adaptable and creative. I've seen this directly translate into better bike handling skills (wheelies, yay!), more endurance and explosive power. I went to Elijah looking for help gaining strength, flexibility, and balance after a couple knee injuries. I got all that and more! Elijah is incredibly knowledgeable, communicates clearly, and puts together killer workouts. He is a great motivator and encourages me to dig deep and push myself.
