When I asked them to place my membership on hold until after the Covid mandates were lifted, they ignored my request and continued charging me for four months anyway. When I reached out for a refund, they refused to make it right. Instead of taking care of a loyal customer, they chose to take the high road straight to losing my business. This has lost them revenue due to shady practices. Completely disappointed with how this was handled.

The only reason I give this gym three stars instead of five is the cell phones issue in this gym. They allow some of their members to use the cell phones no stop on speakers in the workout areas where no other gym allow it. They don't even have one sign at the gym regarding prohibiting the use of cell phones. It's getting so bad with phone calls and texting while setting machines for ever and nothing has been done about it.

They are going to lose some good members if they don't do something about it ASAP.

I have been a member of this gym for 10 years. This has been a good gym but they have recently remodeled it and added some new equipments and hired a new manager so the gym is great and is truly the best.

Great hours and easy parking. The gym is always so clean and the manager and staff are very friendly and very professionals

The new manager Lonna and her team including Nate,Garrett,Luz,Vlad and Sadik are truly the best. They are always available for any questions. This is truly one of the best gyms in the area if not the best.

I love this gym. It is well equipped, not overly busy, and well maintained. The staff is wonderful. People who come here are here to work out not to be seen. People put their weights away, clean their equipment, and it's always a friendly atmosphere.

I'm actually a member of several gyms simultaneously, but this is the one that I choose to go to the most.

I've been a member since this Gold's opened around 1996. The equipment is terrific. New equipment gets purchased. Remodling gets done. Space for stretching + running machines. Above all, it's great to be working out in a surrounding of hard working members!

Service is good, and so is the equipment. What I’m not a fan of is the cleaning process.
Carrying a towel to wipe your station is fine, and it’s better than using those single-use wipes.

What I do not like, is that you also have to carry a bottle of spray, along with the towel, phone, and water bottle.

Golds Gym, please utilize stations around the gym where you can place multiple spray bottles. That way we can pick-up, spray, and set back, without having to carry around. It’s a pain, and some members don’t even return the sprays at the front, with the current system.

Cancelled my membership June 2025 by walking to the location, paid cancellation fee and still my account charging monthly, emailed 3 times and no one even cares about the situation. I ended up to call my bank to stop the payments. This company don’t care about customers, all they care about is to make the most profit. I’d pay little more for a LA fitness or somewhere else with a better customer services.

Do not join this gym. It’s impossible to cancel your membership once you sign up and there are a bunch of hidden fees. You cannot cancel in person. You have to go through an extremely confusing website and they charge you $70 to cancel. Just go to LA fitness, same gym, less money, less hassle.

People stay on their phones the entire time delaying the equipment usage. And clearly the gym doesn’t have rule for that. It’s unfortunate because it’s a good gym, but excessive phone usage during the workout is unacceptable.

Updating after 3+ years, for people looking for somewhere to lift:

I think I frustrated myself reading some of the 1 star reviews from some folks who sound a bit entitled and frustrated to not get their way. So here's an updated [still 5 star] review from someone who's been a morning regular for the last 3+ years. I'm also leaving the gym (due to a move), so I have no extra incentive to write something nice.

The morning/afternoon:
- Never too crowded / rarely ever any wait for a squat rack or deadlifting platform
- Is always clean
- Almost everyone cleans their machines because the gym makes it easy (everyone gets a spray bottle and hand towel)
- I think it might be the cheapest lifting gym in the area
- Staff and members are always friendly. idgaf if I'm greeted, but they always greet me (I mention this because some 1 stars mention it). If they don't like you, it might be you. When I've taken the time to know a staff member's name they've always taken the time to remember mine (or at least read it off the computer screen and pretend like they remember).

If you're in the area, the other big box gym option is LA Fitness and though it's been a few years since I've been to that location, my experience there was overcrowded, expensive, and lack of people wiping down their machines. Your experience could be different, but that's why I made my decision and I've been happy with it.

Love this gym! After working out in my garage for a while, I missed going to the gym and having that energy push my workouts. I went to check out the 24 hour fitness in Redmond, which is a lot closer to me. I was not impressed and although it was a farther drive, I went back to Gold’s in Kirkland. The gym has been redone and is super clean and the energy was inspiring. If you are looking for a gym for weight training where people know gym etiquette, this is the place! Super friendly community and wonderful staff. There were a few pieces of equipment that I didn’t know how to use and the guy at the front desk was super helpful. I also didn’t know you had to grab your own spray bottle to wipe down equipment and after stealing somebody’s unknowingly, one of the members shared how it worked and I really appreciated that. Great community, great gym, very thankful to be back.

After spending almost a year working out at Planet Fitness, I decided it was time to step things up and try a new gym. At first, everything looked great. A clean space, updated equipment, lots of free weights, and plenty of room to move around without waiting forever.

But once I got inside and started interacting with the staff and checking out the vibe, it just didn’t feel right. The energy was off, and the people working there came across as rude and unwelcoming. The whole atmosphere felt more about ego than community, and that’s not what I’m looking for in a gym.

I’m all for pushing myself, but I also want to be in a place where I feel comfortable and respected. This wasn’t it. There are plenty of other gyms out there, so I’ll keep looking for one that fits better with what I value.

Decided to give Gold's Gym a try. There were a few young kids at the front desk who didn't greet me or say hello. Eventually they recognized me, but they couldn't answer all of my questions about the pass offerings and were very rude about it.

I asked if I could please speak with a manager, and was greeted by some lady who was super rude from the begining. Keep in mind I'm not a rude person and if someone is rude to me I won't be bothered but something was off here.

Anyways, the vibe felt off and the people weren't welcoming. Will take my gains elsewhere.

Charged me $20 for a day pass when it was totally unnecessary when they have a “free day pass” link on their website. The gym made no effort to be more forthcoming with that info before paying.

Bad customer service. Lonna Escalera “The manager”. She made ZERO effort to resolve the situation in anyway shape or form. Just said too bad 🤷🏻‍♂️

UPDATE: more than 30 min after our conversation, Lonna walks up to us and tell us to leave the gym immediately or she’s calling the cops. Extreme over reaction. We didn’t yell/raise our voices, swear, or act in any way out of the ordinary. Apparently, if you stand up for yourself you get kicked out. Nice way to run a business

I’ve been a consistent gym-goer for years now, and have never had an issue with staff members at ANY facility. I’ve also never been kicked out of any establishment, so this was a bit shocking to say the least.

UPDATE #2 : That response from the owner is false and full of misinformation just to save face online. We never tried to haggle on pricing or made any threats. We mentioned several times that I was ready to sign up for a membership. If we were really being disrespectful, why let us work out for over 30 minutes before asking us to leave? It’s honestly wild that things escalated this much over $20. Must be hard to admit when you made a mistake these days. I’d still be willing to come in and talk this out in person. This has gotten way too out of hand over something so minor.

★ 1

Unfortunately, my experience at Gold’s Gym Kirkland has been disappointing, and I feel compelled to share. While the facility itself is decent, the professionalism of the staff—specifically an employee named Lonna—was far below expectations.

Lonna was consistently unprofessional during my interactions with her. From dismissive attitudes to a general lack of helpfulness, she made it clear that member concerns were not a priority. On more than one occasion, I felt like I was being talked down to rather than assisted.

It’s unfortunate because a gym’s staff sets the tone for the whole experience, and in this case, it left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I hope management takes steps to address these issues and improve customer service—starting with staff accountability.

Until then, I’ll be looking elsewhere.

My wife had an uncomfortable encounter with another member, who spoke to her in an aggressive manner, making her feel unsafe. Despite reporting this to the gym, they decided not to take action against the member and only sent staff for retraining. When we tried to cancel our annual contract due to this situation, we were denied the option. We are disappointed to feel stuck in a contract with a gym that doesn’t prioritize our safety. Would not recommend this location.

I don't like to write negative reviews but someone has to say it, the music is too loud and the owners don't seem to care.

When you stand next to someone at the gym you cannot have a conversation because the music is too loud that should say enough.

Most of us have complained to the front desk and in our customer reviews which seems to go nowhere.

I guess that goes to show how much the management cares about its customers.

Please dear God turn down the music. It's been turned up to an unbearable amount for the past two weeks. I like the staff and the people who go here but I can't even listen to my own music it's so loud it comes through noise canceling headphones.

Source: Google

★ 4

The facility is generally well-maintained, and is always very clean. The recent facelift is also nice.

Only complaints are that it sometimes takes a long time to fix equipment in need of repair, and the staff often have the music cranked so loud that you can't listen to your own stuff, even with high-end noise cancelling ear buds.

I wish I could give zero stars. Both my husband and I have been going to this golds gym for the past 2 almost 3 years and the gym itself is subpar. It isn’t a “nice” gym by any means- it’s hot in there no matter the weather, it’s small so there is constantly a wait.

Over the last several monthly my husband and I have noticed 3+ times where our individual bills have spiked by $19.50.When I look at the payment history it says that we have incurred a “service fee”. When I called the store to inquire what this “service fee” was, the manager explained that it was a late fee. I have my membership on autopay so I told the manager I dont understand how I can get a late fee on autopay. She said that my card declined the first time and so they charged me again two days later and it went through and they tacked on a late fee for that.

That is so beyond outrageous considering there is nothing wrong with my card and it went through perfectly fine TWO days later and the previous month was fine as well. I even called my bank to ask if there was some reason they would be blocking the bill one month and then not blocking it the next and they said they have not blocked any of the payments to golds gym.

This is a SCAM- they have done this multiple times to both my husband and I. When I asked if they could reverse the fee given there must have been some kind of error on there side the manager was unwilling to do so. I asked for a number to their billing department and she said she was the right point of contact even though she couldnt even tell me the reason my card declined. It was the most useless customer service ever. I will be cancelling my membership and taking my money to a gym that isn’t scamming me for my “declined” card.

I wish I could give 0 stars. This gym has the worst customer service of any gym I know. They wanted to call the police on me because I was questioning their
membership practice. My wife got a membership a few months back because she was working out with her friend. My other friend, also happened to work out there so I decided to tag along. We upgraded our membership to the Gold membership one so that I can use my wife guest privilege. Now they’ve been giving me a hard time about working out without my wife who just had surgery and won’t be able to use the gym for a little while. I explained to them that it doesn’t make sense not to be able to use the membership when my wife is not there, given that we will most likely cancel if we don’t use it. But she ( the manager) asked me to leave the gym or she will call the police. I was like really? I regretted losing my cool and raising my voice and cursing them out - but the point I was trying to make is that this policy needs to change for the gym to improve their customer service. I just wanted to talk to someone about that policy which doesn’t reflect good customer service. Anyway, I am cancelling my membership and not stepping foot in a gold gym ever in my life - and will discourage all my friend no to do so.

My experience with Gold's Gym has been generally positive, earning it a solid four-star rating from me. One of the standout features of this gym is its convenient location, which makes it easily accessible for regular workouts.

Compared to other gyms I've been to, I appreciate that Gold's Gym tends to be less crowded, especially during peak hours. This means I rarely have to wait to use the equipment I need, allowing me to maximize my workout time efficiently.

Cleanliness is another strong point of this gym. I've noticed that the staff and fellow members make a concerted effort to keep the equipment and facilities clean. It's refreshing to see everyone pitching in to maintain a hygienic environment.

However, there is always room for improvement. One area where Gold's Gym could enhance the member experience is by expanding its equipment selection. While the current offerings are sufficient, adding more variety and newer equipment would benefit members looking to diversify their workouts.

Overall, Gold's Gym is a great choice for those seeking a well-maintained, accessible gym with a relaxed atmosphere. With a few enhancements, such as expanding the equipment selection, this gym could easily earn a higher rating from fitness enthusiasts like myself.

Gold’s Gym of Kirkland is a scam of a business and will not allow you to cancel your membership. Do not join this gym. After requesting cancellation in person at the gym I was directed to email the address shown on the back of my id badge. After multiple emails over a 8 month period beginning May 2023, I received no response and continued to be charged. Eventually, I was asked to pay $200 to cancel.
This is unacceptable. I am having to initiate a small claims court case against them because the representatives are completely useless.

Gold's Gym does not have any regard for their member's health and safety.

1. They got a new pulley system exercise station. If you removed the pin to change the weight the heavy bar would drop like a rock. I got hit on the shoulder one time and I know one member who got hit on the head. I reported this to management, and it took over two months to resolve the problem. In the meantime, they failed to remove the heavy bar until the system was fixed or put up a sign that stated that if you pull the pin out to change the weight the bar might drop on you.

2. Most mornings when I went in the countertops by the sinks in the men's locker room would be covered with dirty paper towels because the two trash cans there were full. I reported this to management and told her they needed to get a larger waste can in the men's locker room. To this day another waste can was not put in the men's locker room and dirty paper towels still show up on the countertop.

3. Sometimes the men's locker room would be out of hand soap. I'd report it to the front desk and the Gold's Gym employee was unable to solve the problem. There should always be a secondary plan to supply soap when it runs out in the men's locker room. I'm not happy with the fact that members go to the bathroom and don't have soap to wash their hands with.

4. Many times, there would be no paper towels in the men's locker room or sometimes the paper towel machines weren't working properly. Again, the front desk employee had no way to put paper towels in the men's locker room. They should have a secondary plan so that at no time members lack paper towels.

5. Sometimes an exercise station would be out of service, and it would take weeks and sometimes months for the equipment to be repaired.

What did I like about Gold's Gym? It is five minutes from my residence, and it is the cheapest gym membership in the area. I guess you get what you pay for.

I have been a long-time member of Gold's Gym Kirkland. Management has always been slow to repair or replace equipment. At any given time, there are 2-3 pieces of equipment that are broken and it takes several weeks to fix them. It causes me to wait for other pieces of equipment to open up and makes my workouts take much longer. The repairs are basic and common, such as broken cables, but the gym owner does not prioritize fixing them. The gym charges an annual "Enhancement Fee" of $49 on top of monthly dues. There is no explanation for this add-on fee and it clearly doesn't cover basic maintenance. Until this year I have not seen a single piece of new equipment in the gym or any “Enhancement”.

Fantastic gym that had a good manager & ownership did a great job with the remodel, paint, & furniture! ALL new cardio equipment, olympic weights, workout machines, & massage chairs! Within the last few years & especially this last year (2023) They’ve really transformed this location into a seemingly new gym, but with the same old school family gym feel. They even have full time cleaners now! My hat’s off to ownership, management, & friendly staff for a complete turnaround!

I have gone to this gym for almost 3 full years. In the past year, I have been repeatedly hit on by staff and members. I think this was a cultural shift with some of the newer hires. I quit my membership and requested a refund for my final month and they would not give it to me. Even though, their manager was allegedly fired for harassment and I pointed to multiple examples of them and other staff members treating me inappropriately. Including a male weekend staff member who hit on me both in the gym and when he would see me in public when I was shopping, etc. The behavior is highly inappropriate. I also was constantly harassed for a month by 1 member. I told staff and it took over a month to get him removed. When he was removed, I found out Gold's had previously kicked him out for sexual harassment of members. Why was he let back in?? And why did it take so long to kick him out again? I had to adjust my times to avoid certain people - ridiculous.
In terms of my inquired reimbursement for my last month... Gold's pointed to the fact I signed a contract and it could not be adjusted. Well, I didn't realize I would be harassed by multiple employees (and members) when I signed said contract.
Other reasons the gym should get a low rating: The gym doesn't have enough equipment, and some of the new equipment sucks - including the very new expensive pulley machine which no one likes. Also, who paints a ceiling black? It gets very hot in the summer.
In all, Gold's really should start training employees on proper workplace behavior and maybe give people reimbursements when their staff, including the previous manager they fired, inappropriately interact with their members.

I've been going here faithfully for over a year and a half. The price point is ok. The regular staff is friendly. Gym equipment is kinda shabby, and the owner doesn't move new equipment into this location, just hand-me-downs. All but 2 of the barbells spin like a top, which can be frustrating. But It is not a super busy gym on most days, so you can get through your workout without having to change too much. The gym could use more racks and benches, though, since those do fill up.
As far as options go, there are 1-2 different types of machines to use for each minor/major muscle group plus the free weights. Dumbells max at 150 and low is 5lbs (they had smaller, but they disappeared recently). New renovations are going on rn, so hopefully, when it's done, upgrades are next.
All in all, it's not a terrible gym, and people are nice. It's just management that is distant from the gym.

This gym has been a disappointment for the last few years. They currently have 3 of 15 treadmills that function and it has been like that for a LONG time. They have signs that new equipment is coming soon, but that's been months too. None of the elliptical machine inclines work properly either, which I notified the front desk of years ago. Some of the weight equipment, like the shoulder mts press, have missing parts. And they have you pay a $50 annual fee for equipment maintenance. Guess that's going to the unnecessary remodel currently underway that has turned the gym into a black hole. Currently all the equipment is shoved into the center of the gym while they replace the floors. It really seems like they could have done smaller sections at once and not created such chaos.

They also play overly loud music in the morning, which is really annoying when it overpowers your own ear buds. And a bunch of it is rap, so if you're into that, great.

Perhaps when all the renovations are done and they receive the supposedly coming equipment, it might be nice. Won't be able to say because we cancelled our membership effective the end of the month to go to a better facility down the hill.

As of June 14, 2023 I would avoid this gym for a while until they finish the remodel, then perhaps check it out then.

Like many other former members, this Golds Gym has decided to send what they see as a balance due, to collections. It's pure extortion and part of a truly horrible company. Even though all bank and credit card statements along with emails from their corporate office was sent to them showing I do not owe them anything, they are still trying to rip me off. I tried to like this gym because it was so close to my home, but there is so much I have to sacrifice.

First, on the weekends, they do not open until 8am which is late for people like me who normally get there at 6am on the weekdays. I sacrifice parts of my mornings because I need to wait for the gym to open.

Second, the free weight benches aren't nailed down. Members can move it all over the gym and sometimes they leave the benches close to one another which is awkward if you're working out and someone sits next to you because they specifically need the incline bench. Not to mention, because they are not nailed down, they can move when you launch your body to push the weight up or if you're using leg drive. I sacrifice my time by placing 45lb plates behind the benches so they don't move. Not to mention, what if you're a tiny person who cannot move the benches away from a specific location? It would be much more organized if they were placed in one spot and stayed there.

Third, barbells. Perhaps I am picky, but as a woman, a good chunk of the barbells are thick and require more work for me to deadlift. I have to hunt down a specific barbell everytime I deadlift, my sacrifice. Not to mention, some of the barbells are weird. I've been going to the gym for 8 years and was always used to barbells having knurlings for grip purposes. It's just dangerous when you're squatting heavy and there's not center knurling grabbing your skin or shirt.

Forth, the rules. I see so many members lifting barefoot, talking on the phone, leaving gym bags on the floor, slamming weights, and not re-racking their weights, but I don't see them getting reprimanded for it. Today, I was told not to use chalk because it gets messy. I'm obviously not using chalk to be obnoxious. I need it for safety reasons. And I clean my chalk up afterwards. Does this gym not want me to make gains?!

Fifth, membership cost. For $40/month, it doesn't come with appealing amenities. For $6.99/month more, I can go to 24 hour fitness for steamroom, sauna, basketball courts, and a more diverse set of classes.

To close - it is a good gym to go to for average needs, but if you're about physical and mental growth, this place can be difficult to accomplish that.

Great location and good gym but unfortunately if you NEED to use chalk for SAFETY, DO NOT COME HERE. It's not allowed, and no alternatives are allowed such as liquid chalk (if they're concerned with normal chalk being 'messy')

Hence 1 start from me because no chalk can lead to major injuries when training for competitions.

Best gym for the money in the area. No douchey members, most people rack their weights, super clean facility, and extremely personable staff. The Woodinville location has more luxury amenities, but this location has more equipment geared toward the weightlifter.

This location is one of the best golds I’ve worked out at. The staff went above and beyond to greet me every time I came in. The gym is the cleanest gym I’ve been in and the crowds weren’t to bad. Gym is always neat and tidy, however it is not the reason I am writing a review. I mainly come in on the weekends and there is a blonde young lady who works the front desk here during the late afternoon to early evening on Saturday and she is just AMAZING! Always makes small talk, always smiling, if I walk in with a question I walk out with the answer. And this just isn’t once, this is every time! Double thumbs up!! Wasn’t sure where to submit this compliment.

This is a nice local gym. The manager, Craig, is quite friendly and helpful.
I’ve been going to this gym for a couple years now and i like it. There is plenty of equipment and it’s kept in working order.
The staff is nice and friendly.
My only complaints are that parking can be tough during peak hours, especially around 5-7 pm.
I’m also not a fan of the mask and vaccine card requirements but I do understand that they probably have to follow their corporate rules.

The only good thing about this gym is that they are cheaper than the rest in the area, if you aren't looking for amenities (i.g. pool, spa, basketball court, etc.). However, the equipment is damaged, or assembled crooked, and outdated. Staff isn't reliable to be on time for their shift to open the bldg at 5am when the gym opens (definitely occurring on multiple occasions) . Customer Service is lacking, and the communication is poor. GM is brash and uncouth. Worth looking elsewhere if you have the means.

Save yourself a headache & look somewhere else. Overpriced for what you can get in other gyms. Limited hours, classes, equipment. Handled the Covid lockdown very unprofessionally, continuously charging during months of closure. Only offering a credit towards the month of August even if you weren't ready to return to the gym.

Received the confirmation email telling me to just show up at the gym to use my one day pass, when I arrived I was told I could only use the free day pass if I signed up for a membership... Very misleading information. The front desk lady was rude and couldn't care less. Horrible customer service in my opinion.

The gym is alright, worth the value of the membership, but the customer service is horrible. I had to go through unnecessary steps to cancel my membership and still have to pay for payments that I won't be using. Gyms need to improve on their ways of canceling memberships.

Only used gym once and had to move out of the area. Cannot cancel my membership online or over the phone. Was told to send an email requesting cancelation but have not received a reply. As such, I will have to escalate via BBB and my banking institution since I paid all dues via credit card. Worse gym experience I've had in over 22 years of belonging to a gym.

I signed up for personal training with Daniel. I paid for 8 sessions up front. On my 5th session they tell me payment is due. Why would I need to pay for another session when I haven't even spent all 8 that I have paid for? Well, turns out when I paid for 8 sessions, the gym took it upon themselves to automatically sign me up for monthly recurring which I explicitly told them not to.
When I tried to cancel the membership in response the owner tried to intimidate me with some kind of fear tactic claiming I'm on the hook for some charge I never agreed to.
Bait and switch, aggressive business practices, and flat out attempted thievery. I came to get help with personal training, and instead I got robbed.

IT SHOULDN'T TAKE GETTING AN ATTORNEY INVOLVED TO CANCEL A GYM MEMBERSHIP. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This company makes it impossible to cancel, and they are continuing to charge me even though I've been trying to cancel my account for over a month and they aren't even open and providing the services agreed upon in the original contract!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! On top of that, calling in to the gym for resolution on this was totally futile even before they were closed. I just kept getting told to send an email, and when I told them I wasn't getting a response to my cancellation emails, I was told I had to talk to the manager, who was rarely there and when I was able to speak to him, he gave me wrong information.

I've filed a complaint with the WA State Office of the Attorney General. These sorts of business practices are what earn you a class action lawsuit.

Closing your account should not be as hard as it is. You should be able to go to the front desk and close your account. It's 2020, we have the technology.

The place itself is just ok, but the bad customer support out weights the benefits in my opinion. If you stood by your product, you should make easy to quit whenever.

LOCKER & VEHICLE BREAK-IN'S - Next time advise Craig, instead of charging $10-15 towel fee monthly, do a better job training staff to NOT allow 'gym locker theft crime rings' to destroy locker doors off stealing car key's, identification and more. Latches, hinges have been ripped off majority of particle board laminate lockers. I can look past the broken down machines, equipment out of commission, however I can't get past the lack of security every time I went to use this facility. Front desk staff disappear into the back and management do not notice the obvious.

More recently, I was confronted by Craig about my gym review and argument ensued from men's locker room to middle of the gym near the entrance for all members to witness. I don't believe that is the correct business resolve for handling an issue, nor professional for someone who claims being a fitness profession veteran to cause a temper tantrum. I am not one of your staff!

The best gym in the kirkland area, hands down. The gym is not too crowded to the point where you see random people everyday. Its almost like a small family you see whenever you go to the gym. The people at the front desk are always friendly and welcoming. Go to any other "Health Center" and you wont find nearly as friendly staff. I cant stress this enough. The gym basically has every equipment for a workout you could possibly need. I didnt know towel service was not a thing at other gyms... If you require a gym without extra features such as a basketball court or a swimming pool/ sauna, I highly recommend this gym.

When I started at this gym there was ALOT of strength based lifters (power, weightlifting, etc) but having come back after surgery I dont see has many anymore. :( Which makes me very sad.

So if your looking for a gym that you want to do normal work outs or body building then this is a gym that will work for you, but if you are into strength based work outs. I dont think you will be welcomed here anymore.

It's harsh to say but true. They have a no chalk rule for both regular and liquid. Cannot drop weights at all, but if you are lifting heavy. Not much you can do there.....

Over all I still see some familiar faces, but I miss seeing some people of the power and weight lifting community there. I would always get help from them to improve my form since I want to do more powerlifting.

Canceled my account two months ago. Spoke with a rep at the gym and she said that my account was good to go and I wouldn’t be billed again. Since that point I have been billed twice. I called in again and spoke with someone and they confirmed my account was active and said to send another email asking for my account to be closed. She said that she was sure they would take care of me and refund the amounts charged (about $80). Sent email, got a response saying that my account would be canceled in 30 days and I would be billed again. Up to this point I have had a great experience with this gym! Cheaper than LA Fitness but they did not hassle my friend when he closed his account there.

On of the more serious gyms on the Eastside of Seattle. A handful of pros workout there and it's a great place to achieve your fitness goals. I've trained for multiple competitions at this gym and it's great. Showers are clean, locker room is standard, just got bigger dumbbells (up to 150s) a few months back, bumper plates for Olympic moves, three deadlift platforms. The only downside is say is a few of personal training staff as they just don't seem to have enough experience to adapt to their clients.
