This location is pretty good. It's clean and there is space do workouts that are not just on the machines. Unfortunately it's not a great gym for us glute focused ladies. They don't have a hip thrust machine or anywhere that is really convenient for hip thrusts with a bar. Considering how popular this movement is now, it seems weird not to invest in that stuff. This is why I am canceling my membership (plus I'm moving). Also, be aware that if you cancel you will still owe next month and if your yearly fee is due, they will not make an exception. As in you'll be paying a yearly fee for an upcoming year that you will not be a member for.

Been a long time customers, but their customer service is terrible if you ever decide to cancel. Was going to make the cancellation temporary, but now I will not be returning.

After a couple of attempts to cancel over the phone and told there was no one available to help. I emailed and had no response. Now I get to pay for an extra 30 days I won’t use.

Will find else where to go in the future.

Better than Gold's Hazel Dell. Less busy and much less loud. (The person who wrote a review for this mall location included a photo that revealed they meant to write it for the Hazel Dell location, and I agree with their review about that one being way too loud.) Anyways, this gym is clean and the equipment is versatile. Love it.

The fact that you are not allowed to cancel your membership because they have to first APPROVE IT, otherwise, you are attached to their gym is insane!

If I simply don't want to use their facilities because I don't like their equipments, I should not have an excuse to leave. The worst part it's that the whole process for them to approve my request of cancelation is taking months and in the meantime they keep charging me!

If you can avoid this place, do it! There are way better gyms with reasonable policies.

Decent gym but a bad exit experience. Tried well ahead of the monthly charge to cancel my membership and was repeatedly told to “go do it on the website”. Went to the website and there was no option to do so. Big headache to deal with at the end and got charged for an extra month which was the whole point of what I originally wanted to avoid. These big franchise gyms make it so easy to get in but not to exit.

Dirty, low quality, horrible management. Machines are always broken they will do anything to get you in the door, then they turn around and rob you blind while you struggle to solve the riddle that is trying to cancel. Before you can cancel you have to send an email to the headquarters asking them to grant you permission to quit.

I’ve been coming to this gym for well over a year now and have not had any bad experiences. The staff are friendly, the gym is always clean, and (since I go in the mornings) I don’t have to worry about it being too overly crowded inside or have to fight for machines. I appreciate that there is a sauna to sit in as well. If you’re thinking about checking out a gym, I’d say Gold’s is a great option!

This feels like the gym that corporate forgot/has neglected. Staff has always friendly and helpful but the condition of equipment and the facilities leaves much to be desired. Preventative maintenance clearly has not been done is quite possibly years and it shows in how the equipment is. Cushions are showing their age, cables have their plastic housing breaking off (which causes the cables to have random catching points when being used) and when something simple is broken it generally takes weeks before it can be repaired. Stair climbers have been down for literal months before, the Smith machine is currently down because of a pin and bars look like they could be older than I am. There is a lot of wasted space currently because it's being reserved for trainers (which the place hasn't had since I've been going) and when asked about when some decent equipment could be brought in we were all told that corporate wasn't interested.

Corporate wants additional members before they'll improve anything but the only thing the mall location has on the newer locations is less people. That's it. The people can be great but if you're wanting to new equipment or equipment that gets fixed promptly, then the mall location isn't for you.

It’s a clean gym with nice equipment. One of the workers every morning was negative and unprofessional. Had to cancel membership & unfortunately pay over $100 to cancel but when I did it never canceled it like they said & I kept being charged. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this gym. Would rather go elsewhere.

I think they changed management or something because this place went downhill really quickly. As soon as the old manager wasn’t constantly around, I would find areas like the room for group classes extremely dirty, always clumps of hair & dirt on the ground. The kids club is most concerning though. I got multiple calls to check on my daughter who was the only one there & they had no idea why she was so upset because they weren’t watching her. We tried to come back again & were told they had known since that morning they wouldn’t have anyone to work in the kids club, so it wouldn’t be open. I asked why they wouldn’t notify us & she said because they found out that morning, but kids club doesn’t open until 4, so that leaves plenty of hours for notification. I’ll be taking the longer drive to Hazel Dell from now on.

This gym used to be one of the lower-end gyms in the area however it has been steadily improving. This past week the gym has been noticeably well maintained and perfectly clean/organized, which is what prompted me to leave this review. Not sure what management did but they should keep doing it. Tidy gym = better gains.

This place is a godsend. Clean, functional, modern equipment, and excellent free weights. It's not huge nor all that crowded. However, the hours can be limiting if you work long days or gravitate towards pre dawn workouts.

They do have a heavy bag and a weighted sled, which were pleasant surprises!

The sauna has always been clean and hot, and every time I've been into the gym, I see evidence of the staff cleaning. I appreciate the culture of a spray cleaner and towel for every patron as well, now its the exception that fails to clean up, not the rule!

I really like this gym! I came here after going to Crunch fitness and it’s so much better. I feel like it’s a decent price for what you pay for, I don’t think it’s inexpensive but it’s better than other gyms that make you pay a fortune.
Their equipment is very nice and I love that they have at least 4 of everything.
The staff is very friendly and welcoming, it makes me always happy to come in.
I really love the cardio cinema too, it’s private and nice to watch a movie while I work out and kind of get away from all the noise from the rest of the gym.
Bathrooms are very nice and clean too which is good. I also love that they have a kids club because not everyone can afford a sitter and it’s just really convenient for parents too.
But unfortunately I can’t give all 5 stars…
I really don’t like the music they play, it’s just very loud and annoying… most of it is inappropriate as well.
Like come on, You guys are really going to play “my neck, my back”
yuck! When there’s literally kids who can hear it in the kids club…
Also, why can’t we enter or leave through the mall anymore? When I’m done with a work out it would be nice to leave and go shopping or something instead of going outside and walking around.

The hours suck. On the weekends, this gym closes at 7. Why? These should be extended to at least 10. For me, your hours are terrible. Also, more diverse equipment can be added also, it’s just the generic stuff, nothing extensive. I complete the little surveys they send out, and the manager will reply with their one routine response and never follow up. Lack of care on the managers part too. This gym could use major improvements and potentially new management.

Plenty of parking, and there are only a handful of people in the mornings, so you don't have to wait for machines. Locker room area and bathrooms are clean, staff are welcoming and knowledgeable. Gym goers are respectful and mind their own business, probably what I love best about this gym. Only setbacks are they don't have most strongman training implements (yokes, tires, logs, atlas stones etc.) a reverse hyper machine or push and pull sleds. They got great squat racks with high pull up bars and you can also do Olympic lifts on, sadly you cant use chalk. Although, grunting and dropping weights isn't frowned upon, so its got that going for it. Face masks are encouraged but not enforced, but you must enter and exit with a face mask.

Overall, I would say its definitely not a strongman, powerlifting, bodybuilding, or crossfit gym. But if you wanna go to a gym with plenty of parking, not so many gym goers that are considerate and mind their own business then this is the gym for you. Its why I love this gym.

Now that the new mask mandates has changed (I added this on 3/21/22). The only difference is no one wears masks. There are still plenty of parking, and not so many members on the floor at any one time. If you are a social butterfly bring a friend to talk to. Members here are friendly, but you will see if you just look around for 15 mins, members are here to put in work and get after it. So bring your PR's, your body transformations, fitness goals, and overall healthy lifestyles because this is your gym and remember its a weight room not a chat room.

I have to say that this is such an awesome gym! It is so clean and really not busy at all. They have all the equipment you need and the atmosphere is great! The reason why I really wanted to write this review is to commend the staff and cleaning crew. Everyone is always so friendly and the staff are so on top of it! They’re always making sure the gym is looking amazing and they’re just the friendliest people. I just want them to know that their hard work really pays off and it absolutely makes a difference. The staff are always friendly and courteous no matter what time of the day it is. The locker rooms are clean and well maintained, as well as most of the machines. There are a few machines tucked away that need to be repaired, including one of the two massage chairs for a short time, but that's to be expected with that high volume of equipment on property. The massage chairs and the sauna make a huge impact on me choosing to use this particular gym, as well as the hours they're open.

My home gym is the Camas Gold's, and as a former Planet Fitness member, I love the fact I can exercise at any Gold's I find.
I have spoken with a couple of staff members at the Mall location, and find them to be professional, helpful and pleasant. The array of equipment is excellent as well. Keep up the good work!

I’ve been a member since this place opened and I love it here. Before covid the hours were acceptable, now the hours are unreasonable. I usually go in the evenings and it’s impossible to get there and have time to workout on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Due to my Schedule it’s impossible for me to get there on Mondays and Tuesdays also. If they don’t extend the hours soon I’m going to have to cancel and join a gym that’s actually open when I need to workout.

I’m also paying extra each month for “towel service,” which was cancelled during covid, but my membership fee was not adjusted. The towel service still has not returned, yet I still pay extra each month.

The gym was closed during Covid 19, but she was still charged monthly, and was promised a credit once Covid was over. The credit never came, and we've been trying to quit for months. This location just pawns us off to their membership email, which doesn't respond well, and if you call you get a call center in a foreign country. They are finally going to cancel her account, but they want to keep charging, and they won't give any kind of a credit.

It's a predatory system they have, and clearly don't care about their customers. I'd love for a regional manager to contact me to clear this up, as I'll never use Gold's Gym again otherwise.

Honestly I'm good with the gym. Great selection of free weights and machines. Enough room to spread out and have space. People keep the head down and workout. 3 of 5 starts because of the inconsistencies with the sauna which is a major option to have available. If the gym is open the sauna should be open. Not heating up and not closed for cleaning. Those should be timed appropriately so the sauna is ready for use when the door is opened. Saunas are used for increased endurance, muscle mass, stress tolerance etc. And the gym is taking away this opportunity from the people who go early.

Great gym. Besides normal stuff like showers there are 2 tanning rooms and 2 massage chairs. It's clean and not so busy on prime time (4.00pm - 8.00pm). At least yet. Stuff is polite and willing to help if you have questions.

I went in to the Vancouver mall gym to sign up today after not using golds gym for about three years. When I originally signed up in 2018 I had a month to month membership with no contract. I moved away to Hawaii (therefore I could not use the gym in Hawaii because its locally owned here in Vancouver) and they continued to bill me for almost a full year even though I clearly told them that I moved. This should not be an issue anyways because I was on a month to month membership!!! Not a contract…SO Instead of canceling my month to month no contract account that shows I clearly have not checked in or been to the gym in over a year, They continue to bill me every month. Then they try to tell me that I am responsible for that full year and that they have sent me to collections…. Which literally never showed up on my collections….. So instead of gaining a customer today And righting their wrongs, They told me I am not eligible to sign up until I pay off the $280 worth of membership fees.. what a joke. Today I could’ve been a paying customer of golds gym But because of poor management, poor personal skills, and poor communication skills by the staff they have not gained a customer and they will never get paid the $280 that they claim that I owe them. I highly recommend looking for a different gym.

Now they sent me a final notice to collections??? I don’t even live in the area and haven’t visited in months.

I was a member to this gym for well over 4 years. I never complained about the price because I liked the service they provided. Mind you I paid over $150 a month for the enhanced membership and team training, never had a problem with my payment and sadly enough I brought other people to sign up too. Before covid hit they changed management, with that came staff changes. When they closed down for covid the sent out an email saying they would credit your account when the gym opened again, never happened. The staff they brought in has absolutely no knowledge about anything. It is astonishing the poor training they must receive. Then when Nathan gets involved, (because he’s got the fancy manager title) he resolves absolutely nothing. They refuse to give you a number to contact someone to help you out. They charged me for 11 team training sessions towards the end of my membership, I got 2. My sister was charged for 3 months after she canceled her membership, never even got a phone call about scheduling any sort of training they just charged her for. I asked a manager about it he said well we don’t have time to call members. My friend was sent to collections during covid when they were closed! Nathan said pay they balance to collections and then we can talk. What! Such poor service. Arrogant, condescending, passive aggressive management. Save your money and go somewhere else.

This is my first time going to the gym and I could not be happier with the place I chose.
The staff is really amazing and sweet and are just on a good vibration. The equipment is top and the environment is very relaxed and welcoming.

I enjoyed my time at the Vancouver Mall Golds overall. It was an unfortunate end, but sometimes God closes one door to open another. Thanks to all the staff for providing me a place to be when it was super cold outside and I had no where else to go. Thanks for allowing me to tan a little to get warm. Thanks for allowing me to sit in the massage chairs and work on my businesses and massage my terribly aching feet and back from carrying that heavy backpack.

Being homeless was the hardest thing I've done to date and I'm so grateful that Golds will be part of my story. Cheers to you all!

Terrible customer service. My girlfriend signed up for a "special" they were having "4 training classes for $100". That sounds nice. But what they DIDN'T tell us was that this was $100 a month till you cancel. I was skeptical about the deal, so I asked three different front desk employees(two of them being managers) at three different times, asking about the classes and charges my GF signed up for. They all told me the same thing, 4 classes, $100. no more, no less. Fast-forward, the gyms shut down again so my GF didn't get to finish the 4 classes. Once the gyms opened up again, they charged her card AGAIN for $100. I called and asked to please reverse the payment, we don't want the classes. They said "sorry please email member services". So I emailed member services, and they hit me with the signed contract attached in the email. They said it was 4 classes a month for $100 indefinitely till its cancelled. I explained that we were miss led, confused, and frustrated with the customer service we received and we wanted a refund on the $100. In the end they cancelled the "classes" but said they needed a 30 day notice, so they will charge my GF's card another $100 next month. What a joke right? I know its "the customers responsibility" to read the contract, but the leadership team seamed very confident in communicating what we were signing. I'm still fighting this. If the customer isn't happy, you would thing they would listen, or care. But they don't. I've been a member for four years, I'll be looking for a new mom and pap gym if they don't make this straight.

Do not go here! Gym is always busy after 4:00pm.
I moved during the pandemic and I emailed them asking to cancel my membership and they were not willing to work with me. Terrible customer service, sent my husband to collections (during lock down), even though their emails state that we do not need to worry or do anything during that time.

Also, I noticed that they only reply to their positive reviews on here and never apologize.

Gold's gym lost my card on file that pulls directly from my account not once but twice. Second time it was the beginning of the pandemic, so they were closed. I moved to another address, then around December I got a collection call saying I owe $200. Seems like they could have emailed me! I tried to explain my situation to them but gold's had no interest in helping me. Now credit score is damaged. I have other friends that have said gold's has screwed them during this pandemic as well. Terrible customer service!!

I showed up to this gym trying to use my active and fit membership which is covered with golds gym, apparently this is a franchise and they do not offer. I drove all the way out there (over 25 miles) to go work out with my wife, asked if I could then just do a day pass they said no they don’t offer that anymore. Now I see that there is an option for a free pass and a day pass. So thanks for wasting a hour and a half of my day.

Gold's gym is new and extremely nice. The cleanliness is exceptional. Top of the line equipment. Inexpensive membership. The cardio theater room is a huge bonus to this gym. I love watching a movie on the big screen while doing cardio. 😍

With being the first time going back since the closures. The staff was very friendly and went over all the new requirements. Just was good to he back. Also was very nice that the gym was not overcrowded as it was pre closure. Great place to work out and very friendly environment.

Friendly staff, good rates, good equipment. Cardio room with projector screen for movies. Awesome place. I was worried about the location being at the mall. It might as well be a separate building. No parking issues, no mall traffic or mall entrance. The gym is essentially by itself. It's great.

Here’s my only feedback. Everyone trying to listen to their own music and they turn up the music so load that you can barely hear your own music. It’s loud enough so don’t turn it up throughout the day. Seriously, your music isn’t That great. If it was, no one would be listening to their own music. Pay attention to your members vs company policy.

Clean, clean, clean! Very rarely crowded. Plenty of space and equipment. Staff is super nice and friendly. No funky smells. The other users are friendly and courteous. What's not to love! Great gym!

I haven't been since COVID-19 hit, but I am sure looking forward to getting my now flabby self back in there when it's safe to go back to the gym.

This is one of the worst gyms I have ever been at. I cannot get on half of the machines, then I have to deal with a passive aggressive entitled manager that is better at quoting company policy instead of guest relations. The manager Nicole even had the nerve to tell me what I can or cannot say. I am a former military officer who has fought overseas, I refuse to listen to a child tell me what I can or cannot do. The others working out is great, but the new generation of kids needs to learn how to speak to others. I refuse to pay them another dime. If Golds doesn't like it, call my lawyer.

The gym is clean, equipment is in excellent condition, staff is always friendly, and prices are comparable. It is not the largest gym in the area, so during peak hours, it can be very crowded around the free weight area.

I love this gym. Rob and Carly are the greatest. Always greet me with a smile. The equipment is good and clean. Not crowded. Surprisingly good gym etiquette and the cardio cinema room is a lot of fun.

This was the worst experience ever dealing with a business! The turned my under age son into college, could not get it taken care of. Texted called. Last call was the worst so rude unprofessional, interrupting every time I spoke.will be contacting their corporate office. And the better business bureau! I hope no one lets their teenagers join this gym!!!!!

Hi everyone,

It's a great establishment with many luxurious aspects that has made it appealing to me, not only is it spacious but they provide drink services for example protein shakes and the like (not alcohol), they also have zumba classes available here which is what I personally have been looking for. Overall very pleased and excited to have found this establishment.

We’ve been coming here for years.. even though we’ve gotten into shape and outta shape (when we slack.. lol) but through it all Carly has been here! She started as a staff member and now is the operations manager after putting her time in! I could t be happier to see her in this position.. she deserves it more than anyone! She’s a great manager! Good job Golds Gym.. that was one of your best decisions!

After trying All the gyms The best of all! Very clean and friendly and the one thing other gyms don’t have is a “Daily boot camp” classes (they called “Foundations”, “Industrial” and “Fat burn”) with Cynthia! You will burn a lot of calories without getting hurt or tired at the same time you tone and build up strength, muscle and endurance! The best personal trainer I have had so far it’s Cynthia! She is friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging! She will push and motivate you if you ask and hold you accountable on you meal goal!
Zacchaeus will help you switch your cancellation personal training session without drama and in the same day you call, he is the man!
Robert (Bob) it’s tge best sales person! He is not pushy and will understand your needs and work to resolve it! Very sincere and will help all your friend and family to join with the best offers and timing! I did not mind pay the “cleaning fee” because it’s very clean! The Zumba Teacher Steve it’s a “must try”!! Steve it’s the best male teacher I try in a gym and it’s excellent ... you can tell he is a professional dancer! I love Gold Gym and that’s why I signed The whole family on it! Try it!
