About the Club

I am an Internationally Certified Master Trainer and Coach, Corrective Movement Specialist, and Certified DNA Program Designer who believes that everyone deserves to move well. Quality of life is defined by one’s ability to enjoy it in a strong, efficient and pain free manner. To this end, I bring master skills, experience and tools to assist my clients in achieving their individual goals. With a background in rehabilitation, injury prevention, movement correction, Muay Thai, BJJ, Competitive Powerlifting, Body Building, Military fitness, Olympic Lifting, Russian Kettlebells, DNA Program Design and performance strength and conditioning I am equipped to build individual programs for each client.

Sarah has continually impressed me with her knowledge, not only of body mechanics, but of what the person, as a whole, needs to heal. I have had chronic hip pain that finally made it so that I could no longer run or bike. Walking the dog was painful. Working with Sarah has substantially decreased the pain and I’m confident that when I finish my work with her, I’ll be pain free. Sarah doesn’t just offer stretches or exercises to complete, she provides a comprehensive plan to heal, rebuild, and stay pain free in the future.

I came to Sarah to avoid having knee surgery on a torn meniscus I was told by 2 different doctors could not be healed and needed surgery and they didn’t recommend any sort of physical therapy for it. My chiropractor mentioned Sarah for rehabilitation and I decided to see if she could help. She scheduled a free consultation where she asked me my entire health history, never have I been asked this by a medical professional. This took an hour and a half and a lot of tears. She was full of so much compassion and so much hope. I’ve now been working with her for several months and not only is my knee recovering beautifully but so are the injuries in my back and I am also experiencing relief from multiple auto immune diseases. Any time of day I can text her and ask questions regarding absolutely anything to do with my health from exercise, diet, sleep, recreation, overall non toxic living etc. I have been down so many dead ends in healthcare and have been at my wits end as a 25 year old girl feeling like an 80 year old being constantly bed ridden, after a couple months with Sarah I am doing things I haven’t done in years. I have so much more confidence in caring for my body and truly believe my best health is ahead of me instead of my decade long belief that it was behind me.

So what can I say about Sarah that would immediately turn you into one of her clients. First of all Sarah has an extensive “meet and greet” to make sure she understands your past, your needs currently and that you are her first priority when training. And the journey begins….Let’s fast forward over two years later. Down 30 pounds and stronger than I’ve ever been in my 50’s. After an extensive re-injury of my left knee, a past shoulder surgery and a right SI hip pain we have come a long way. Able to walk without my gait or foot slapping to the ground, able to walk confidently up and down the stairs and getting up and down from the ground with less pain and more confidence. That says a lot. I’ve been very athletic in the past but many injuries and pain have been an obstacle in moving forward. That has all changed. I’m not totally pain free but life is not either. Most days I'm 80% improved - some more some less. I don’t always like the training honestly but once I’m there I’m always glad I did it. Sometimes I will tell Sarah “ I don’t like this” and she works through it and checks in finding a solution. You waste so much time trying to train in your own when you can’t possibly see what needs appropriate attention with a teacher. You will make great strides with this decision. So if you’re on the fence or the other side of the fence it’s time to come to the other side of the fence. So with out reservation I recommend I recommend Hartman Training for your “personal training” needs. PS You always know where things stand with Sarah so communication is a key to your success. You won’t regret your decision.

I started training with Sarah two years ago, after a shoulder injury from a motor vehicle collision. At that time, I hadn't weight lifted in 20+ years, and it was strongly suggested that I have surgery to repair my shoulder. Two years later, no surgery was needed, I am stronger than ever, and I have more confidence in my athletic capabilities. My shoulder is healed enough to work with Sarah without pain three times a week and even to play pickleball multiple times a week. To get stronger every day - after age 50 - is a gift to myself, and I am thankful to Sarah for guiding me along this journey.

After years of putting on weight and sitting behind a desk for work I was nervous about trying to start working out again. I met with Sarah and felt an instant connection. She listened to my concerns and we got to work. It has always been a partnership as she checks in with me often throughout my workout to make sure I'm not in pain and feeling the workout where I should. She is so knowledgeable and enjoys answering all my questions. She is also a constant cheerleader, encouraging me and reminding me how far I've come. I have been seeing Sarah for close to 3 years. After taking 2 serious falls, both resulting in concussions, it was recommended by my Dr. that I seek strength and balance training. Coincidentally, my friend Sarah had suggested that I come work with her on strength and balance!
What a difference 3 years has made!
With Sarah's guidance and encouragement I have gone from falling on docks, tripping in driveways and just stumbling over my own feet to a strong, confident woman without fear. She has not only trained my body but she has trained my mind - strong body, strong mind.

I started training with Sarah in April 2019...thinking I would only sign up for a few sessions in order to mix things up and get some experience lifting weights. For years my go-to was your standard treadmill, dumbell, leg extension repeat... After just a few weeks with Sarah, I knew I wouldn't be quitting anytime soon. Sarah is great! We've been working with her at our home for 6 months. She's very careful and intentional in planning workouts around limitations and injuries, always ensuring safety but providing a good workout. She's great about mixing up the workouts so they don't get boring and repetitive but also touching back to things that have been done before so you can see / feel progress. She's a great communicator both in the workouts and during the scheduling / planning process. I recommend her whole heartedly and recently convinced my 76 year old mother and 86 year old step father to start working with her!
