This gym has transformed my mindset with fitness. Fitness is no longer something I just do, it’s a lifestyle for me now. Not only have I lost a significant amount of weight, but my mindset has changed. The coaches here are amazing! They are knowledgeable on technique and supportive. This is a community of people that care and look out for each other. I look forward to every workout here…maybe not burpees. Lol

I had the best time dropping into Highland Fitness and Performance today! I got to meet Erica (the owner) and their awesome coaches, and wow, you can feel their passion the second you walk in!
The workout was fun, tough, and full of functional movements that really make sense for everyday strength. But honestly, what stood out most was the community. welcoming, supportive, and full of great energy! THANK YOU! Definitely coming back!

I’m not a big fan of working out. It’s exhausting. Everyone is schvitzing. And I make weird faces. But I love being strong. And I love the owners and the community. There is no expected level of experience when you come to this gym. They meet you where you are and start from there. The coaches are kind and respectful. The gym is clean and has all the equipment needed for everyone to work out together. If you’re even just slightly interested in finding a gym, give HF&P a try. You can watch me make weird faces.

I've been training at Highland Fitness for a few months, and I can't recommend my personal trainer, Erica, enough! From the very beginning, she was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me achieve my fitness goals. Whether it was improving my strength, building better endurance, or simply gaining more confidence in the gym, she created a personalized plan that is working for me.
The energy and motivation made every session something I looked forward to — even on days I didn’t feel like working out. Erica always pushes me just enough without ever making it overwhelming. Plus, she explains everything clearly, so I never felt lost or unsure of what I was doing.
If you're looking for someone who knows their stuff, listens to your goals, and truly cares about your progress, you can't go wrong with a personal trainer at Highland Fitness. They've made a huge difference in my fitness journey!

I was hesitant to try a CrossFit type gym, but fom my very first class with Coach Erica I knew I had found my gym home. Highland Fitness is so much more than a place to workout. They meet you where you're at and give the perfect mix of motivation, inspiration, and encouragement with the right amount of listen to your body. Every coach and member is a cheerleader. The community is inclusive and inviting. I am so grateful I found my forever gym.

I really enjoy this gym! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome from the owner, Erica, and all the coaches. It’s a truly inclusive and beginner-friendly space, while still offering a great challenge for seasoned athletes. The environment is supportive, unintimidating, and filled with friendly faces. The workouts are well-structured and easily scalable to fit any fitness level. This is hands down the best gym anywhere in Renton. I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. My husband and I felt like we weren’t getting enough out of our typical corporate gym back in 2022 and made the switch to this one. We haven’t looked back. We came for the classes, but stayed for the coaches and community. All the coaches are fantastic and meet you where you’re at. If you are looking for a great workout, diverse movements, and scalable options, this is the place for you. Highland Fitness is an amazing gym and community of coaches and clients that all want one thing….to be the best version of themselves! Workouts are tailored to your body and where you are in your fitness journey! I have knee issues that can be dibilitating. The owner/coaches, work with me to adjust my workouts, when necessary, so I don't aggravate the injuries while also looking to strengthen and improve my mobility. My fitness level, mobility and strength are better than they've been in 20+ years. Anyone that has maybe worked out in the past but continues to battle injury or plateaus in gains, should check out Highland Fitness, they will create a gameplan and push you to be the best version of yourself!

I’ve been training consistently with Coach / Owner Erica since the beginning of Highland and have been so impressed by her knowledge and enthusiasm to help members achieve their fitness goals that I knew I wanted to play a larger part in the community so I pursued my CF-L1 certification and began coaching in October. The workouts stay fresh as they are constantly varied to expose members to all different kinds of training (with excellent coaching and feedback of course). Highland has come up with a great formula, a super engaged / present owner that works with her coaches to deliver great workouts and connect with the community. Highly recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is my place. These are my people. I keep getting stronger. They understand physical limitations. I always something bothering me and they work through it WITH me. The coaches are knowledgeable and nice! The place is kept clean and tidy. The programming is thoughtful, intentional and tough. But worth it every time!

Highland Fitness and Performance is far more than just a gym. If you want a group of welcoming people who push you through your fear or lift your confidence, this IS the place. The workouts really challenge you with as many ways to scale as you need. Injured? Don't worry! Tired? Come on in! And just MOVE!

This is an AMAZING gym. Coach Erica is energetic and keeps people going through challenging workouts. She and her staff can scale the workout for any level of fitness. Classes are small and the community is so supportive of each other. I have been a member for years and am so glad I found this gym. It literally saved my life!

First time at Highland but millionth time taking Coach Erica's class - will follow her wherever she may go. My friends and I drove from Seattle to drop in and got our butts kicked in a great way! Will definitely be back! The space is beautiful, abundant parking, and classes are challenging but fun and that's coming from a couch potato.

As someone who was new to working out, I was a bit nervous walking into Highland Fitness but right away Coach Erica made me feel so welcomed and safe. The gym environment is so high energy and motivating, and is such a great space for beginner or seasoned athletes. Coach Erica helped me correct my form when I needed it, and always provides modified versions of an exercise to accommodate everyone. I truly feel the most comfortable and encouraged by Coach Erica, and the awesome gym she has created.

Highlands F&P is a wonderful space. Take it from someone who looks like the exact opposite of a gym person. I've grown up with anxiety around being in a gym, because there's so many stigmas and stereotypes around bigger bodied people working out. But let me tell you--Highlands is such a safe space for people of all body types and fitness levels. They provide incredible support and genuinely care about all of us. It's a welcoming environment that I look forward to being at after work on a regular basis. Don't let gym anxiety get the better of you! Highlands is worth it :-)

I joined this gym in 2019 with absolutely no experience or idea about what to expect. Now, I can confidently say that it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. The growth I've experienced is immense, and my love for working out has only deepened thanks to the supportive and friendly environment here. I’ve worked with Erica for years now and she’s taken my fitness to the next level. Even as a competitive athlete through my 20s, she has me in the best shape of my life now in my early 30s. She has been a huge factor in allowing me to step up into professional MMA without ever worrying about my fitness being an issue. She also made me genuinely enjoy running after a lifetime of very openly hating it which may or may not be witchcraft.
I’ve watched her programming, enthusiasm, and guidance benefit everyone from those just trying to live a healthier lifestyle to athletes looking to compete at the highest levels. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to level up their fitness and (somehow??) have fun doing it!
