They left members with nothing. This course in bankruptcy. They left without any notice to members. They didn't notify it at that time checking in rounding morning time. After rounding they let me know it when I try to make a tee time booking for next golfing. The staff said to me, our course will be closed from tomorrow. We were shocked and no idea to get compensation. They are frauds.

The course has so much potential... but I seems like the owner only water's select tee boxes and green while the rest of the course drys up and blows away. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY! The course really isn't playable... it's not a golf course and I wouldn't even let my dogs play there. The fact that this place is even open is mind blowing. The first picture is a par 3 that looks okay but in reality the greens are dead and full of weeds the next is a dirt fairway that is as hard as concrete and a green looking green. Truly embarrassing. Don't waste your time or money and go drive 20 minutes north and play Green Tee. That's a golf course

The course is in very poor condition, greens are cracked and fried, bunkers have no sand and are over grown with weeds. Too bad this used to be a nice course

Sign on hole 8 advertising $6.50 burger with restaurant phone number on sign saying call and pick up at turn.. came and picked up 2 burgers for $41 ๐(claimed they didnโt know about the sign??) fairways are like cement greens arenโt kept bunkers are no longer bunkers. had a twosome just start on hole 10 right as we took the turn and and slowed everything down, said the โmarshallโ allowed them wasnโt trying to get into an argument so let them goโฆ waited 10 min on tee box for 3 straight holes then left and wonโt be back. This place turned into a joke

The course is in terrible shape. Many tee boxes are totally parched, sand traps are hard packed, weeds growing, no sand!! Theyโve been horrible since before Covid, several greens havenโt seen any water for a while to the point that theyโre cracked with dead patches, an employee took all the flags out while we were on the 15th hole because โkids are stealing them!โ I said โbut weโre still golfing!โ She apologized but what the heck??!! Apparently thereโs a law suit, the Canadian owner doesnโt care enough to invest in the quality of his course. Wonโt be back this year or ever really.

Sadly this course has not been well maintained. I played here ~10 years ago, and really enjoyed the course. The layout is still great, with the signature island green on 18 being a picturesque finishing hole. But the greens are damaged in spots and very hard, with a wedge to the middle of the green bounces right through. The rough was unkempt and just tall enough to hide a ball unless you are standing almost right on top of it. With the rough being uneven, and many fully germinated dandelions, we would have to spend a couple minutes looking for an errant ball. Thatโs frustrating when you hit a decent drive that fades slightly into the rough. The bunkers were devoid of sand, and had grass growing on them in spots so only possible to pitch or chip out of them which made them unplayable when there was a higher lip to the bunkers. At times, the only way out was to play a bump & run lol.
A tip for the pro-shop counter staff is when you are the only person there, please put the phone on hold, and take care of the people trying to check in for their t-times. I watched him answer the phone 3 times and have a casual conversation each time, while people were trying to check in. Having worked a front counter position, we were taught to politely put the caller on hold, take care of the people at the counter and then go back to the phone.
A tip for people new to the course is always follow the cart path. A couple times we walked over to the visible t-box beside the green only to find that the next t-box was actually across the road. This happened twice during our round lol.
Iโm hoping the course will come back to itโs former conditions as it was one of our favorite courses to play in this area. It used to be a much better value than Loomis Trails or Semiahmoo, but right now, itโs worth the extra effort to drive down to Sudden Valley.

Great layout and course. The greens and fairways are in pretty good condition. The bunkers are not playable so youโll need to pull your ball out. Well worth the $31 Canadian.
I understand some people are mad because of the tee boxes and bunker conditions however theyโre not charging $80 either.

For the price, this course is fine. Sure, the bunkers need a LOT of work (and sand), the tee boxes are in rough shape and the greens have some patchy spots but overall, I like the track. There's barely anybody on the course during the week so the pace is great. We're getting robbed for up to $79 CAD for winter rounds here around the Fraser Valley so if I can get onto Homestead for $15 during the week and squeak out a 2hr45 round and have the course to myself, I'm doing it.

Shockingly disappointed! It used to be a really nice course! The tee boxes arenโt maintained, fairways completely burnt out. Then, if youโre unlucky enough to go into a dirt trap ( thereโs no sand ) , theyโre choked full of weeds and rocks. The greens were horrible . Homestead is stealing your money! They shouldnโt even be open.

Greens are in great shape but the tee boxes need lots of help. Obvious no watering to them and the sand traps are in really rough shape. Lots of rocks, mud and bone hard. A little sifting work would do wonders and next week will be trying to avoid them.

Played 8/1/2022 and thought it was great and price was so good I thought I was at the wrong course because of some bad reviews I read. Hard to walk as they make you walk long distances between holes, we did it and if it wasn't so hot maybe not so bad. Would definitely play again!

This course is one of the better designed golf courses in the area, unfortunately in recent years the conditions have gotten worse and worse. There appears to be very little investment in the course itself, once it was a course which boasted premier conditions to draw a premier clientele in a resort type feel now it has slowly one of the worst condition kept golf courses in the area. The bunkers have been gravel for about 5 or more years with zero new sand added for as long as I can remember, rough is cut so infrequently that you can lose your ball under dried dead cut grass, the fairways are typically decent until sanded with more pea gravel then sand, and the greens currently seem to be cut so infrequently that they almost resemble what is at times the length of some courses fairways. Very little has been done to help create better drainage and instead features have been taken out in order to make the course easier to maintain which has still led to conditions continuing to deteriorate. The course itself appears to not have any experienced groundskeeper at the helm. This course is a championship design and length that it is very sad to see it in such a condition and is in dire need of a investment to return it to its former management and glory. I am writing this review only to bring attention to the severity of the conditions in an attempt to hopefully bring a better product to this course in the future.

This course needs some love but is a good challenge.
The greens were brown and weโre in need of repair. The bunkers were full of weeds. The ponds were swampy and needed cleaning. Theyโve been cutting a lot of corners all around. Itโs too bad.

The 3 star only go towards the staff and supervisors themselves. Standard golf course with everything you'd expect: when it rains, it's wet, and when it's sunny, it's dry. The day I played with 3 of my friends (which is the day I post this review) was pouring rain. Wasnt ticked off about their inability to provide rain-checks as it's standard golf course policy practise, nor was i upset with how wet and muddy the course was; in the end, i chose to play in the rain, thus have no complaints. However, recent updates about maintenance falling off lately is true, and even then I believe that's still an understatement. Greens are burnt, discolored, bumpy, unequally mowed, and way too slow (because of its long grass). Tee boxes are essentially the exact same but emphasis on the long grass, and bunkers are extremely shallow and unclean (but that may be due to weather conditions such as rain and wind so don't take my word for granted). The course has potential, but it's not there.

Was a little surprised carts werenโt available but Iโm glad I walked. The course is a blast and even though it wasnโt in tip top shape (greens are slow and the bunkers are just ok). The views of the mountains are stunning and the layout presents a decent challenge. For the $35 rate I would tee it up here again for sure.

Needs work in all the bunkers. Remove the gravel in all of them, add some sand and fluff them up once in a while would help a lot. Other than that itโs not a bad course. Fairways were slightly boggy but then again it is April.

Never thought I'd write a review for this course and rate it so low. Love the course but the customer service today sucked, hence the low mark. I normally book through GolfNow but saw that there were a lot of tee times open. Showed up as a single and was told it would be almost an hour...with an almost empty parking lot. When I decided to leave, the kid in the pro shop asked if I wanted to play 9 or 18 and said he might be able to get me out on the back 9. Because I had already made up my mind, I said no because I wanted to play 18 from hole 1. I sat in the parking lot and watched the first tee for 20 minutes. Nobody teed off and nobody was on that hole. Why Homestead? Why?

I had high hopes coming here I had only heard good things. Course is flat but not really walkable for holes are placed oddly and leave you walking a good bit to get to the next hole. Some how I got to 4 looking for 9. The homeowners were very happy to help get me in the right direction and was I finally got to 9 the homeowners had the proshop bring me a cart ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ. Nice gesture by them and the course. Course is suffering from our past year and the heat. Tee boxes were pretty chewed. A couple of the greens were patchy. This course will bounce back and you will not be disappointed.

The golf course is in fairly good shape. A few of the greens need some work. It is a very hard golf course with lots of hazards. There are ponds on almost every hole. You can lose a lot of balls on the front nine. Sand traps protect every Green and are difficult to get out of. Homestead is a relatively flat course that is easy to walk. A pretty course with nice views and an 18th hole with an island green that will leave you with good memories.

Best value for your money. Very good facilities with a nice driving range and chipping/putting green. Also a very good dining area with tasty food. A very challenging course with plenty of water hazards. The course has generous sized fairways with numerous sand traps. Rolling hills make for a good walk during your round. The greens run true and were in pretty good shape. The staff is one of the friendliest you'll find. The only criticism is the lack of nice sand in the traps. More like a fine gravel with plenty of coarse sand and pebbles. I would recommend this course. You will have a good time.

Itโs an easy 20-30 minutes from the border. Challenging course with longer par 4s (than what weโre used to) and water... keeps true to a frustratingly fun game. We usually walk it but the distance between holes can be longer on some, legs are pretty tired and dogs are barking by hole 15/16.
