I provide a welcoming and inclusive place where women can connect, support each other, and achieve their fitness goals. I believe that a healthy body and mind are essential for a fulfilling life. I am committed to helping clients live their best lives through fitness and wellness.

I have been working with Shawna for the last 18 months both in person and now utilizing her app/online training with accountability. Shawna creates training programs tailored to the individual. I have some difficult health things I'm navigating and Shawna has pushed me in a healthy way while adapting every step of the way to what my body is needing/capable of (which varies a lot). I love that Shawna is so passionate about women's health and that she does competitive shows. Watching her transform her own body with all of her hard work and eating habits motivates me but also allows me to trust her knowledge and expertise more than I have with other trainers/gyms in the past. While I work towards being back to in person training, I really love how simple but detailed her online app training is. She has been so encouraging and motivational for my fitness/wellness journey.

It took me roughly a year after a ten-month battle with breast cancer (BC) to acknowledge that “my new normal” wasn’t going to be good enough for me. I had little to no energy, my balance was wobbly, and my strength was nowhere before BC. No matter what I did to try to pull myself out of the funk, I could not. I attempted exercising, bike riding, walking, and changing my diet, but nothing worked for long. My resolve and discipline were not there. My commitment to myself was zero and I had no accountability to myself.
In May, I came across a personal trainer on Facebook. A friend was working with a personal trainer and was getting some results. At first, I was reluctant to start a workout program because I did not know if I had the energy or commitment. After meeting with Shawna, I felt I owed myself to try to make an effort. It's been over three months and meeting with her twice a week has made a world of difference in my life and health. I have lost some weight, I feel more secure in my balance, have more stamina, and feel stronger every day. I have been able to take over a few house chores that I leaned on my hubby to do since BC. He has seen the difference in me too. I have even started my violin lessons again and I feel life has gotten sufficiently better. Thank you Shawna for your time, experience, and desire to help others improve their lives. It's never too late to get in shape for life.

Shawna has been personal trainer to my wife and me for over a year and a half. She trains my wife at our home. Originally she trained me at home as well, but I switched to her studio and am very glad I did. Shawna is a great trainer for both men and women.
My workout routine always starts with 10 minutes of warmup on her heavy duty treadmill. At age 64 with a hip that I considered replacing a few years ago, I never expected to be running again. But now my warmup includes several minutes of running at 6 or even 7 miles per hour. This is largely due to Shawna’s coaching of core strength along with hip and back flexibility.
After warmup, Shawna usually has me roll out the kinks in my hips, legs, and back. Learning to roll out has been very beneficial.
Then we move into the workout, which focuses on core, lower, and upper body. Shawna uses her equipment to my advantage, from dumbbells to bench, bar, ball, steps, and some specialized equipment that is perfect for certain things.
Every element of Shawna’s studio is curated not only to support work, but also to inspire. My eye often lights on some art, color, or word that uplifts me. Shawna’s music is much more varied than what I’ve experienced in gyms. Men’s and women’s voices are well represented, as are modern pop to classics. Her playlists inspire.
As an amazing bodybuilder, Shawna herself inspires as she demonstrates exercises and stretches, and uses her knowledge and experience to tailor my workout to exactly what I need. This ranges from one memorable full body workout that reminded me of CrossFit, to gradually heavier weights, to occasional workouts when we just stretch and roll, giving my body the healing it needs.
I’m proud of myself for how far I’ve come, and grateful that my wife encouraged me to work with Shawna.
