I joined KCF exactly one year ago with absolutely zero CrossFit experience. I encourage anyone who's nervous about getting started to start here! Coach Jason taught me the basics and helped me scale all the movements to my own fitness level. The first few months were hard/scary and I was in a state of perpetual soreness, but I can say now with full confidence that the journey is 100% worth it. Kirkland CrossFit has equipped me to perform movements I NEVER thought I'd be able physically do in this lifetime, and I continue to surprise myself every day. While the physical changes are rewarding, I think the way KCF has shifted my mindset and outlook on life has been even more meaningful. Coach Lenore has helped me break down so many mental barriers and I owe her much of my athletic success. I've only been a member for a year but this gym holds deep significance to me--offering growth, safety, and empowerment no matter the level of fitness/phase of life you're in. You'll love it here.

Great coaches, programing and supportive environment. I've checked out moat of the crossfit type gyms on the east side and this one felt like the best combo of programing, intensity (motivation without pushing), and coaching instruction. If you want to get fit, crossfit is the best and provides a mix of exercises so it isn't boring and doesn't take hours a day.

I really wanted to like this gym, but honestly, my experience was just alright - not super great, but also not awful. I took a few classes, and the workouts are well planned. But since I’m new to CrossFit, I found the exercises difficult to understand. So I found myself feeling overwhelmed and having to ask a lot of questions to understand what the workout was. This was frustrating, especially because I have often heard that the barrier to entry to CrossFit is quite steep, which I fully agree with.

All the classes that I attended only had a maximum of like 4-6 students, so it was tough to really feel like it was a community vibe.

I had to stop attending classes because unfortunately, we were doing pull-ups in one of the classes, and I had to use a resistance band to pull myself up, and then I’d lower myself down slowly. I didn’t realize that this was poor technique until the coach finally said something while I was already halfway through the second round of pull-ups. I woke up the next morning with the worst tightness in my lats, and I was unable to even lift my arms above my head because of how tight the muscles in my back were.

To make matters worse, this gym only does five minute warm-ups, which I don’t think is nearly enough to allow your body to properly warm up, and furthermore puts you at a high risk for injury. In general, the chance of getting injured through CrossFit is unfortunately high, especially considering the high number of reps, the fact that everything is very much time-based, and they do very brief warm-ups.

I just personally didn’t see that the membership was worth it, at about $200 per month. I wouldn’t be getting nearly enough bang for my buck to actually move forward with a membership, but every time I’d go in for a Class, the coach would always insist on a membership, so I constantly felt like I was being sold to. I’ll probably pick up CrossFit again in the winter at a different gym on the eastside.

The perfect CrossFit gym to drop in when traveling. (If I lived in WA I would make this my home base). Kirkland CrossFit is absolutely gorgeous and most importantly, welcoming. The coach was knowledgeable and kind. The members were outgoing and encouraging. My sister joined me and is new to CrossFit. The coach took the time to scale appropriately and spent extra time guiding her. It seemed like there were all levels of ability. I can’t wait to visit again!

I’ve been an athlete my whole life—college basketball, high-level climbing, biking, hiking, you name it. I’m in the gym seven days a week, but I was always hesitant to try CrossFit due to an old back injury. I assumed the workouts would wreck me. I couldn’t have been more wrong.

I recently joined Kirkland CrossFit, and it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my fitness and well-being. The workouts are smart, scalable, and incredibly well-coached. The facility itself is top-notch—clean, organized, has showers (as I had to go directly to work) and fully equipped.

What really makes this place shine is the community and coaching. From day one, Jamie and Lenore made me feel confident and supported. I was nervous I wouldn’t be able to pick up the complex movements, but they both went out of their way to ensure I felt safe and comfortable. Lenore in particular has a gift for teaching—she carefully explains each lift, gives thoughtful adjustments when needed, and leads with encouragement more than correction.

People show up early, shake hands, make eye contact, and help each other set up and tear down. During runs and workouts—yes, even at 5:30 AM—you’ll hear cheers and high-fives all around. It’s the kind of community that keeps you coming back. Even though it was my first week I met people that have been there for 15 years.

If you're looking for a place that combines elite programming, a state-of-the-art facility, and a truly welcoming culture, Kirkland CrossFit is it!

Kirkland CrossFit has truly transformed my fitness journey. Since moving to Kirkland three years ago, I’ve been fortunate to discover this incredible community that has helped me maintain my exercise routine.

I can’t express enough gratitude for my personal coach, Jason Rusk, who took me from having zero CrossFit experience to feeling fully confident in my weightlifting abilities. After Jason moved on, I was welcomed into the group classes by Jamie, Mark, and Leo, who continued to nurture my growth with the same care and dedication.

Although I haven’t yet taken classes with Lenore and Rachael, I’ve felt their encouragement and recognition during my workouts. Also, Lenore has the best music playlists ever. Her selections are so passionate and upbeat that they make you feel like you’re working out under the sun, which is especially important in Seattle’s often cloudy weather. I look forward to taking their classes soon!

Kirkland CrossFit is a place where I can see myself grow, progress, and embrace new challenges. This gym is welcoming, with everyone treating each other like friends, offering support and encouragement. The challenge program allows you to track your progress month by month and year by year, which keeps you motivated.

I’ve bee man working out at KCF for 2 years. I value the programming and the warm ups planned for the workouts. The warm ups are catered to the workouts and the coaches do a great job preparing your body for the workout.
The workouts for each week is well thought out. Each day feeds into the next day making it physically possible to come consecutive days. I’ve gotten valuable recommendations about how to tweak my nutrition to manage soreness.

I was in town from Victoria, BC Canada and wanting to check out a local box so I dropped in for a Saturday morning class with coach Lenore. Right from the minute I walked in the door I felt welcomed and like I had been there before. The members were all so friendly and encouraging and Lenore was so personable. She made sure to check in with each members to see how they were doing and what their modifications (if they needed any) were going to be. She was encouraging through the whole workout and after the class she took time to show me and the other drop in a few tips to help string together my toes to bar. I have been doing CrossFit for 13+ years and been to a lot of CrossFit gyms and this place reminds me of the old school community feel that makes being apart of a CrossFit gym so special. They have been so welcoming and allowed me to participate in the open and quarterfinals. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and space is everything you could possibly need. In addition, I have had my 5 month old with me and they have helped take care of him so I could compete. This place has gone above and beyond to make a special experience for me when I have come. After 2.5 months of travelling around the US (from Australia) we dropped into several CrossFit gyms. None were as accommodating as Kirkland, it was challenging but coaches were fun as well as educational. A good work out with good people is what a CrossFit gym
should be. We are rocking our Kirkland CrossFit gear here back in Melbourne, even though people think we got the gear from Costco! Thanks for having us.

I've been going to this gym about 2years since I was an international student. At first, I was worried about registering due to the language barrier and intensity of the workouts. However, the coaches and members have always been incredibly nice and helpful. Even when I couldn't understand a movement, they always demonstrated and explained it well. Also, the workout is divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, so anyone can participate. If you're interested in CrossFit, I recommend giving it a try since they offer a free trial class.

I have been to several Crossfits for the past couple years. KCF is a fabulous community. Classes are small, coaches are knowledgeable and members are friendly. There is no judgement here. Some people are amazing, strong and flexible; others are not as strong and not as gymnasty. Coaches offer numerous options to scale while still encouraging members to challenge themselves. Fun, fantastic community!

Just try it. As a newbie, the thought of entering a CrossFit gym was intimidating, but that was just a thought and it didn’t last long once I talked with the owner, Jamie.

The coaches and members are all incredibly welcoming and supportive (even at 5:30am 😉), the workouts are challenging but mods are always available, coaches are positive, sticklers for proper form (nobody wants injuries), and there is good cleaning protocols in place.

If you’re looking for a new challenge or a positive environment/community, this is the place to be!

Kirkland CrossFit is a fantastic place to work on your fitness. The coaches are extremely knowledgeable, passionate and encouraging. I love that it is a combo of weightlifting program + shorter HIIT workouts which is what most people think of as “CrossFit”. There are people of all skill levels, from beginners with no experience to CrossFit games competitors and the classes allow for people across that range to get their desired fitness outcome achieved. 10/10 would recommend!

I’ve moved away from Kirkland but I wish I still lived close to this gym! It’s an awesome place to hit the ground running with your fitness! Their coaches are awesome at tiering the workouts with options for newcomers as well as experienced crossfitters. The focus is usually on getting stronger and more agile, not necessarily directly focused on physique goals, which can be helpful for anyone looking to stay motivated long-term. The gym community is welcoming and casual. The owners and coach who does the workout programming for most classes are super personable, funny, and kind - they’re also often working out with a class to practice what they preach! Whenever I went to a class I was always able to learn a new technique or move. It’s a bit pricey for anyone coming from a traditional gym membership, but it’s priced well compared to other CrossFit gyms and they also have a punch card option which doesn’t have a monthly commitment. Their app also has the WODs so if you’re traveling or something like that you can still keep up with the workouts in some capacity. Would recommend this gym!

I joined Kirkland CrossFit ~1.5 years ago and haven’t looked back! it’s been the best decision for my mental and physical health. The coaches and the community are amazing. I love the strength programming that focuses on core lifts like squat, clean and press followed by met-cons to get your heart rate up. I feel challenged every day and love walking into the gym with a workout already planned. No matter the phase of life you’re in, workouts can be modified to meet your needs. I’ve been going to Kirkland CrossFit for 10 years. It’s a supportive gym with friendly and welcoming coaches and members, even when you’re working you way back after a long break (thanks a lot COVID). The workouts are consistently challenging (to say the least) and varied. If there’s ever a movement that is too challenging the coaches are always willing to help you figure out an alternative that works for your fitness/comfort level. There are various social events outside of the gym as well, unfortunately I have a hard time making it to these events but I know a lot of members enjoy these social meet ups.

I have been a member of KCF for over 10 years. The trainers are excellent and very conscious of technique. I love that there are always ways to scale movements so I can work out at my ability. The community is very fun and super encouraging. KCF is constantly organizing fun events and challenges to keep us motivated. Gym is always very clean and constantly new equipment is showing up. :) I am so happy I found this gym!

I was hesitant to try CrossFit, but the coaches at KCF put me at ease from my first class. I've been a member of Kirkland Crossfit for about 2 years, and at nearly 48 years old, I'm the strongest that I've ever been. Being a part of this gym definitely saved my physical, mental, and emotional health during the pandemic.

I can't say enough good things about KCF. First of all, the coaches are knowledgeable and the really care about doing a good job while keeping the members safe. Second, the programming. While tough, everything can be structured for anyone's ability. There are always substitute movements for everything. Attending classes here consistently, you will get stronger and more healthy. Last but definitely not least is the wonderfully supportive members. Everyone is on there own individual fitness journey, but here we're all doing it together. You can feel that everyone wants the best for you and want's you to win.

I was invited to try a CrossFit class in Bellevue back in 2011, through a Groupon deal and I completely wrecked myself on my first visit. I was pretty much set that CrossFit would never be for me, but during 2021 I was pushed to try Kirkland CrossFit (by my wife) and give it a second chance. The coaches were WAY more focused on the techniques with very light weights. I started going to the 6:30am class on a 10-pack and realized the regular crew was a ton of fun! There was no pressure to push beyond your limits and everyone was super encouraging. It became an amazing way to start my morning off on the right foot and it wasn’t long before I had some good accountability to come on a regular basis. Kirkland CrossFit offers great daily class times lead by knowledgeable encouraging coaches with a great community of people covering all levels of training. Whether you’re looking for a brand new start to your fitness, a tune up, or a competitive way to push yourself with other awesome people, I would definitely recommend KCF. Drop in and come give it a try!

Awesome community gym and great coaches! It has a great mix of exercises and weight training with different focus every day.

Fantastic gym! Ready great setup for CrossFit. Erica and Hunter are awesome. Very easy to drop into when your traveling. They use wodify so it's easy to track your reps. It's over by autobody shop so it's not so easy see but Google maps will take you right there.
