I signed me and my daughter up in December, we went for a little while but it ended up not working out for us. We just wanted some extra cardio outside our CrossFit gym. When I went in to cancel the membership the day before the monthly charge was to come out she informed me I would have to pay for next month since it comes out the next day. I decided that wasn’t a big deal and filled out my cancellation paperwork with her and was told it would be processed. She say I had until the next month then it would end. Two and half weeks later I get a call from the owner informing me I am not allowed to cancel and will need to pay for a full year since the contract he had me sign in December says that. We were not informed when we signed up that we would have to pay for a whole year. He claims we should have been told and that we have to pay for the full year. We never would have signed up if we knew we couldn’t cancel with a one month notice. One year is ridiculous especially after you let us sign cancellation paperwork! So unless your willing to sign up for a year contract, would not recommend this gym. I read the horror stories on how they treat people when they try to cancel and should have listened. Our other gym is a 30 day cancellation policy, highly recommend finding one of those instead.

Just received a letter from a debt collector saying I owe them near a thousand dollars for a membership #1 I cancelled forever ago in person, and #2 I haven’t even used in ages. Zero calls, zero emails, etc. about this “owing balance”. Don’t you think if you ran a gym and had someone racking up a balance that you’d at least call, email, or send them a letter before waiting so much time and sending it off to a collector? Seems fraudulent to me.

Just got off the phone with a lady at the customer service desk and she said that she couldn’t tell when I was in last because every time they pull up an account it is the same as someone “checking into their gym” with a key fob scanner. That seems convenient.

Also she said no one would have ever allowed me to cancel without a written and signed form, “we would get fired if we did that”. LSAC has teenagers working the front desk, and people make mistakes. I met with a younger lady at the desk, she “pulled up my account”, and let me know I was good to go after a few moments of clicking and typing. Since then I haven’t been back.

When I was actively going there I had no problems and always had a great experience, but this is ridiculous. I’ll update this review once they wipe the balance.

I couldn't be happier with my recent personal training sessions with Jess! As a woman in my forties trying to get back into shape - I was totally intimidated by all the machines and I had zero routine. No idea where to even begin. I met with Jess and bought a 5 session package. She went over my desires and my concerns as well as my various body aches and issues. She helped me focus on full body routines, as well as targeted muscle groups and walked me through the many machines as well as dumbbell workouts. She is thorough, kind, and super encouraging. After every session I left feeling stronger and more confident. I highly encourage anyone who may not be comfortable in the gym yet, to have a few sessions with her. You'll feel better than ever! Great gym, great staff!

The gym is well equipped but with old to ancient machines. They all appear to at least be functional. The facilities are clean. Staff is friendly. Not crowded. As of 1/15/22 there are no classes yet. Membership is $399/yr with no joining fee. Classes included.

10/18/24 update: I just renewed my membership after having been away for a while. They now have a full schedule of classes. Nice sauna. Equipment is still working great and they're constantly updating things.

2/14/23 Update: After being a member of the gym for over a year now, I'm increasing my review to 4 stars. There are now lots of classes. I have noticed that equipment is frequently replaced and updated, as needed.

Went to this club for over 12 years. Great club, just got to crowded for me and I felt like I really needed to start planning my visits otherwise most of what I wanted to work on would be occupied. I'll still recommend but I found a club with more included amenities, plus locations all over the states which works better for me and what I do.

I have been many gyms and this Gym is the most horrible gym for Asian decent ,,,if you go to certain time window due to mean and horrible people group.
Even I escalated the gym owner but he would not believe me and I was the one needs to get out if I do not like it. I will escalate the situation to PD so that my kids won’t experience these horrible
things happened to me
The gym shower room is very dirty and disgusting.
P.S for other Asian people, there are surely certain nice people but be careful ,,,

I ABSOLUTELY love this place and the people who work here!
The owners-- Todd & Lenny-- are two of the best people I've ever known and they're very accommodating... It's a very small town comfortable and personal Business.. I begin working out in February 2022 after suffering from a stroke and thanks to LSAC I've been able to turn my health problems around in a way I can't explain!! I feel amazing and it's truly saved my life as I continue to workout there every day since!!! I've been going there just to tan since they opened doors 13+ years ago, but now my focus is my health and we'll being!(don't get me wrong, I still tan 😂)

This gym is great! I moved away some years ago. And I need a place that doesn’t charge a ridiculous amount to come work out when I’m up here visiting family for the Holidays. It’s $25 for the week. Not bad at all. And they have everything I need to get my workouts in.

Great gym, lost over 40lbs since starting here. Great selection of equipment. Mellow low key neighborhood atmosphere type gym. Men's locker room can get a bit crowded certain times of day with bathroom selfies going on, that's my only gripe. Other gyms in the area can't compare to this one in terms of equipment, quality, and price. I've checked. It's a good choice.

We have had nothing but issues with LSAC, we tried cancelling our membership with them after we moved but were told that was not possible since we didn’t move at least 25 miles away from the gym. We decided we would continue to pay the the 6 months we had left- fast forward to today 7/3 my husband called into finally cancel our subscription which only had one payment left of $66 and ended having to fork up $164 which could not be explained to him as to why.
We feel very ripped off and misinformed by the facility and we definitely will not be coming back here if we move back to Lake Stevens.

I received a phone call from a very rude woman from Lake Stevens Athletic Club. She was rude and threatening and wouldn’t give me any information regarding a club membership I thought had expired. So I went into the club and asked to speak with an owner, of which none were there. I asked for a print out of the account and for the owner to call me. I never received a call, but looked at the printout and realized that I was incorrect about the starting date and did owe. So I mailed a check, a note telling them how rude the person was whom had called me, and that I was ending for personal reasons, but had been planning on coming back in the fall. And that I would not be doing so because of the person who called me for the remaining amount owed, that check was returned. I resent the check, when I received it back, that was also returned. Approximately 6 months later I received a letter from them (it was the first time I received anything from them), I again sent a check. They kept the check, didn’t cash it and sent the account to collections.
I had done everything to pay the bill. I was treated rudely, not communicated with and sent to collections.

I have been coming to this gym for several years now and i am very satisfied. I love the local small town feel compared to other bigger gyms. Its always clean and the staff always welcomes you with a smile. The bathroom/locker room can get a little cramped but it is always very clean and well kept. Childcare is very inexpensive and super convenient. I would recommend this gym to family and friends.

Called in to ask about what their child care hours were and the girl that answered the phone did so while talking to someone else then greeted me. It was not very welcoming. When I asked about the child care hours she assumed I was a member and said it ends at 8pm. I advised her I was not a member and she informed me that child care started at 9am - 12pm. I then mentioned that Yelp said they opened at 10am and asked what time do they open if your saying 9am for child care and she told me when they closed and was rude to say well that's not what you asked. I definitely will not be purchasing a membership for my family of 4 here since they can't even handle a phone call much less provide customer service. Not sure how places like this stay in business.

Love this place, love the people, love their classes - it's a little on the small side, but that is just perfect for me! I come at o-dark 30 anyway, before it gets too busy. Most of the clients are there for a workout... and even those that seem to come to socialize (which is just fine too) don't bother or keep their conversations short for those of us who came to get our work-out on and get back to life. The only down-side - the bikes in spin class aren't maintenanced enough.

This gym has a neighborhood vibe to it. The staff is always kind and quick to answer any questions, or while addressing your concerns. The locker rooms and restrooms are always kept nice and clean. Even when there are alot of people here working out, the place never seem crowded. There are daily classes such as yoga and Zumba. The male locker room houses a dry sauna, and there are 3 tanning beds for all members to use. They have a wide variety of beverages, including pre-workout drink mixes available.

Still not convinced enough to buy a membership? Just ask if you can come check it out for a day or two! The staff wants you to enjoy your time here, and I am sure you will!
