What is energy work? As I see it, it is energy as physical psychology. The connection of our energy and our physical health is very real. I believed this cognitively, but I’d never done anything with it until recently and it has had significant positive impact. The work with forks under Beth’s guidance has connected my mind and body and created an opening to healing and health maintenance I didn’t recognize as possible and I cannot recommend it more highly. All it requires, is openness to the possibility!

It is now the end of May, 2024. During the last week of December, 2023 I met Beth for the first time. Five months ago, I had pain and restricted movement in my left hip that had been going on for months, if not a year. My motivation was to be free of the pain and move freely. Also, I spend my workdays sitting on the floor, engaging with little ones as a speech therapist. I drive from house to house to provide my service. It was getting increasingly more challenging for me to get up from the floor, and I could tell that the young parents I work with were concerned for my well being. I am 70.
As of last week, 5 months later, my hip moves more freely, with reduced limitation. And, I can now get up from the floor without holding onto anything!!!! I can't describe how excited I am, grateful to Beth, and proud of myself. If I had gone to any other yoga class or gym, I would not be doing the exercises or going to the classes. By nature, I have close to zero internal motivation to be present in my body and take care of it the way it deserves to be taken of. Beth provides the external motivation I need in a vary laid back, safe, comfortable way. She is truly a gifted teacher. Beth has pursued the extensive education and training needed to assess the maladaptive motor/movement patterns that we development as we move through our lives. During my first visit, a free consultation, she was able to describe why I was hurting and restricted. Over time, she has taught me to be mindful and notice when I am using old patterns that do not help me. It is a slow process, but the changes over time are solid. While in the studio, I practice the program that she designed for me on the reformer and on the mat. I also go to the Movement Foundations classes that she teaches. The change in my body has been incremental, but the day that it all came together and I stood up was truly a moment of celebration, and no one cheered for me more than Beth. The atmosphere in the studio is warm and lighthearted as her students practice together, targeting their unique needs. I could go on and on about how wonderful, talented, and experienced Beth is and I am forever grateful to her for her help. Please schedule a consultation and discover the capabilities of your body. Attending yoga classes at BendnMove has been a great addition to my routine the last few months. I started with zero knowledge of yoga or any idea what to expect, but Beth has made it very accessible to a novice like me. She has a very gentle approach and understands that I might not be able to yet do all of the things that more experienced practitioners of yoga can do, and gives me the space to struggle and learn at my own pace. I highly recommend anyone who is thinking about trying yoga to schedule some time and try it out at BendnMove!

I experienced one of Tamara's newer offerings this week: a Sound Therapy experience. First, I'd love to share that upon completion, I felt both relaxed and deeply grounded... I felt refreshed and vital, and yet relaxed, calm, and peaceful. Usually, I come from massage or body work experiences relaxed, but also quite tired. Not so with this session.

Tamara's been studying sound and hZ works for more than a year now. There was initial clearing, getting into some coherence and presence for just a few minutes... and then she did an assessment in order to determine what was most needed. It was fascinating.

A series of different tools were utilized for this session including, tuning forks, drums, rattles, and a tremendous gong. It was a wild and beautiful thing... the gong is suspended on a wheeled mechanism and while I was on the table, she was able to roll the gong forward and it was suspended above my knees and then my core. It was not a "crashing gong" sound.... it was a short series of soft strikes that gently spilled reverberations and sounds forward... like a bit of a metal drum sound if you can imagine.

It was a soothing delight. Highly recommend Private Appointments for best customization & results.

I feel so much healthier since going to BendnMove. I love my gentle yoga class. With Arthritis, it's great to have a class that is gentle enough for me to participate in. In the past I've taken Feldenkrais and it is also wonderful. I feel healthier, stronger and have more balance since I've been takin these classes. What's great about BendnMove is that there are classes for every level of participation, from the most gentle Yoga class to more intense Barre or Yoga classes. An amazing place.
