Due to work, I live in Bellevue, Washington and in Laguna Niguel, California. I’m fortunate to have access to LifeTime facilities in both cities. Coda in Laguna Niguel (LN) has set the bar and expectations high for how the front desk position should be. The front desk representatives in Bellevue should take note that they are the face of the gym for first impressions. I suggest they experience a mandatory rotation in LN and observe first hand what true customer service is.

In regards to equipment, they have a treadmill that has been broken for multiple weeks. In LN, they would remove it from the floor. Additionally, you see the maintenance person on the floor frequently maintaining the equipment. Within the last four years, I have not seen anyone checking equipment in Bellevue.

Clearly, this gym pales in comparison to LN with size, hours, and amenities. But the customer service should be the same.

Melissa (trainer) is the only highlight of this location. She is amazing.

The coaches and staff are great! This is my least favorite Lifetime layout though and it feels like a lot of the equipment and amenities are outdated. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings - feels more like a 24 hour fitness than a luxury gym. The sauna and locker are smaller than other lifetimes I’ve been to too. I wish there were more lifetimes in Washington, it’s a shame this is the only option out here!

Came back to this gym after ~2 years and couldn’t be happier. Doug is the best trainer I’ve worked with anywhere - knowledgeable, capable, and genuinely empathetic.

If you want actionable guidance and results from someone who knows what they’re doing, he’s your guy and this is your place.

It’s such a shame that the trainers complained when I was working out with a friend I brought to the club. They came to say something about me training, even though was my friend and guest. Honestly, I’m pretty disappointed with the trainers at this location, because they don’t really help much and they’re not very considerate.

I was on vacation 2 to 3 weeks entered this club a couple of times told them how long I’m going to be staying. One of the staff members said that is fine and was going to put A note to verify it Came back another day and a lady called Christine at the front desk said otherwise and told me I’m not allowed in the club and was very Rude and told me if you want to cancel your membership can cancel. I can show you how to do. It made me feel very intimidated and upset not a good club to be honest

This has to be the worse Lifetime fitness I’ve been to. All the other ones I’ve been to, you can feel the luxury when you walk in. This one not so much. Not only are the machines crammed together, the quality doesn’t match what you’re paying for. This location doesn’t even have pools, courts, and it lacks room to stretch/warm up. Whenever I’m in a Life time gym, I feel top tier, elite, like this is what a gym is what a gym is supposed to feel like. I tell people all the time that I can stay in one all day. But not this one, not this location. I honestly wanted to leave once I saw their set up. Staff is nice though, just not the gym

Obsessed with Life Time Bellevue! Been a regular member for about a year now (I’m an ex-Equinox junkie) and feel that a lot of these reviews are unfair. You need to pay a visit, as the facilities are absolutely gorgeous and immaculately clean. It is one of the least crowded gyms I’ve ever been to. I signed up with the $0 sign up and no long term contract thinking “what’s the worst that could happen?” and genuinely never looked back!

The classes are top-notch, a breeze to schedule, and all the instructors are super encouraging (shout out to Amber and Melissa!) & they genuinely make my day. There isn’t a plethora of equipment, but it’s all brand new and well maintained. There is ALWAYS someone cleaning in the locker room/sauna area and the mint steam sauna is absolute heaven! The yoga room is the most zen and immaculately clean too. If you are looking for extensive hours (they close 7pm on weekends 😩), childcare while you go to the gym, or a pool… this is not the place for you. Compared to all the gyms in this area, I find the most motivated, fit individuals come here. Love all the food and service at LifeCafe and use it often. The Equinox in Seattle does not hold a candle to this.

This has to be the most underwhelming LT in existence. I have been to 20+ LT locations from Toronto to Arizona. This ranks the lowest yet gotta pay close to $300 a month. Continued my membership here for a month but I then I cancelled after 12 years. No swimming pool, limited equipment, small sauna and no jacuzzi…no basketball or tennis courts and very limited hours…honestly, it’s like a nicer apartment building gym than a lifetime

Toured with Pauline. Enjoyed the brevity yet comprehensive nature of it. The amenities seem good. And I am happy there are locations around the country, in case things do not 'work out' here. Perhaps this justifies the $280 monthly charge beyond the obvious overhead costs.

Tips/Suggestions:

Would say, they should do a little better with their communication. First, the BDM emails people too late which might indicate that she is floating staff or not near the location so she might not know the context on the ground.

Second, if someone tours, there should be no need for them to explain themselves again when they attempt to sign up especially if contact details were taken the day before with the same adjacent staff.

Third, as soon as a person signs up, there should be a protocol in place to give said person the perks (i.e., free ticket for Life Cafe) -- I actually had to ask for mine with another concierge.

Fourth, some gyms have a 'no larping' policy -- when I attended some dude who I suppose wanted to showcase how much weight he could lift (about 45 lbs.) was doing a kind of modified shrug where he dropped the weight behind his shoulder in an alternating pattern -- maybe effective, but definitely loud.

Fifth, patrons should be able to pause their membership without giving 30-days notice -- since travel is not always planned and sudden events might merit it.

Lastly, having been to many gyms, the arrangement of the lockers seems too open and maybe insecure for a person to leave their belonging in the lockers -- which are out-of-view, near ingress/egress points, and combined with the loose onboarding policy lends well to those with criminal intent to thrive.

I expected a high-end experience from Lifetime Fitness, but the Bellevue location has been disappointing. Compared to other locations I’ve visited in Minnesota, the difference in service is noticeable. Despite the high membership fees, the staff often seem undertrained and inattentive. When my friend’s belongings were stolen from a locker, the staff didn’t seem concerned or make any effort to address our concerns.

It also feels like ongoing member feedback isn’t being taken seriously, and the amenities don’t reflect the high membership fees, the shampoo and lotion are noticeably low quality.

btw, If you’re simply looking for a quiet gym, this location might work.

I was there last weekend with my husband for about ~2 hours. He locked the locker, then worked out, but when we came back, the lock combination didn't work. He asked the Life Time employee to open his locker and realized his 2 credit cards were missing and someone was shopping in Nordstrom with his card. We immediately reported to the bank but the lifetime employees were super passive the entire time and didn't do anything to compensate, or even tried to investigate the issue for other members. This is so concerning and honestly very disappointing. I used to love this gym and have been advocating for many years, but after this...? They lost me and my husband as customers for sure.

Nice facility. I had a bumpy experience signing up for a Medicare Advantage membership through United Healthcare. 2 days in a row over the weekend nobody who was working at the gym was trained to handle these types of memberships. There were some technical issues as well but the lack of training was the thing that bothered me the most. It doesn't signal that these are important to the club.

I’ve rated it two stars for the price. Let’s just be honest, they are price gouging because they can 🤷‍♀️ rich people live here and tend to go to this gym. I just decided I’d rather invest the 4,200$/year I pay this place to build my own home gym.

There is really nothing wrong with this gym, it’s very clean, beautiful, plenty of equipment, not too crowded, nice staff, classes, steam room and sauna. I enjoyed going there but I just didn’t want to justify the cost anymore.

If you care about this - there really is no “normal” life time amenities like hot tub, pool, tennis quarts, basketball, etc. but you’re paying way more than most life times cause they gotta pay their expensive luxury shopping mall rent. Wish they would make a life time fitness outside of Bellevue and have the normal amenities and cost.

UPDATE: Photos and selfies taken yet again while in sauna. Again. Huge invasion of privacy, and to date, LifeTime has done absolutely nothing. Apparently phones (and therefore photography devices) are permitted in saunas according to manager Christian and so are gym shoes/gym clothes. This means this location does not enforce LifeTime’s written policy explicitly banning photos and requiring showers before saunaing.

See Equinox sauna policy for comparison.

What I wrote 2 weeks ago:

This is a great gym, I highly recommend. It would be even better if management could put up better signage on the sauna door so people don’t wear their dirty workout clothes and shoes into the sauna. Electronics/cell phones are also super distracting and toxic in the sauna. I don’t want to be photographed while sauna-ing. Thank you.

Fellow gym users - please be courteous and remember that it’s really unhygienic and against the rules to not shower before using the sauna, and obviously take off your shoes/ sweaty workout clothes. Please leave your phone outside so (1) heat doesn’t destroy your device and also burn toxic fumes in the sauna and (2) you are considerate of how you’re sharing the space with others. Oh and it goes without saying, please don’t take photos in the sauna!!! Thank you!

EDIT. Got access via wellhub with my employer. Walked in and was turned away even after having used my wellhub code for the day as a manager must be present for me to use wellhub. Even after seeing that I’ve used my code for the day I was turned away and not even offered the day for free until a manager could link my account.

Lifetime replied to my prior review with a note about getting in touch but when I attempted to do so I was turned away from the gym even after having used my wellhub code.

Absolutely horrible customer service

Below is my review from my first issue with gym management.

I was a member for a few months but cancelled my membership for a few reasons. The inside of the Gym was kept nice and clean and there was ample space to exercise. I liked the body measurement system which provided a printed readout for keeping track of body trends.

Their own operation is what is leading me to give them 2 stars. During my time there they did not focus on the experience and instead focused on trying to get members to spend more money.

1. They closed the elevators right next to the main desk, directly disabling the floor selection and adding copypaper over the buttons. This is almost certainly due to trying to help their struggling cafe (which was overpriced and mediocre and I don't even know why it was there). With the new elevator positions it's now required to make an odd walk out to the front of the building to enter through a long corridor, past this cafe. Prior, you could just walk directly up to the front desk from your car. Didn't have to go outside. Super easy and the nicest entrance to a gym I've seen.

Lifetime's own greed in wanting to ensure that members passed by their mediocre cafe took priority over providing a better guest experience.

2. Lockers cost extra. There are two sizes of lockers in the locker rooms. These are all unlabelled and you can put your stuff in any of them while you work out. I would leave my gym bag in one of the hundreds of lockers during the week at times so I didn't have to bring it with me and leave it in my car. I came in the last time I was there to find it missing.

As it turns out, using a locker for more than your gym session requires that you pay 100$ on top of the already insane 250$ for a reserved locker. In a facility with hundreds of excess lockers. With no signs or even offers of this service until after they had confiscated my bag. This wasn't evident at all when I visited and left me panicking that my clothes had been stolen from my locker.

This lifetime fitness, which is by far their smallest gym in the company by a large margin, charges you the same as their fully featured multi-floor fitness centers in other states. Those centers get multiple ball courts (pickleball, basketball, etc...), pools, cold plunges, hot tubs, bars, large studios, etc... Many many more features than this center and charge the same amount.

Even with the excessive and greedy 250$ price tag per month on this gym, they manage to offer the least and then decide to upcharge their members on lockers as well as remove amenities to support their somehow failing cafe.

Is it worth it? No. Is it significantly greedier than the other locations in the company? YES, by far. For 250$ a month I'd expect to get top-tier service and at least have a locker to keep my stuff in during the week. Instead I get a gym that nickled and dimed me even after I paid them 3,000$ a year.

I only give them 2 stars as the interior is at least clean and there's ample benches.

Just joined and this is my new favorite place! Shocked to see so many negative folks in these reviews… Luxury is all relative and I guess I’ve never seen the other Lifetimes across the country — seems like a lot of visitors are bagging on this location. However, for me, I’m a local and comparing this gym to other luxury fitness clubs in SEA/BVUE I’ve been a member of. I’ve been in search of an elevated gym experience that makes me feel like I’m paying for the cleanliness and the premium equipment — this gym is just that. I’ve belonged to Bellevue Pro Club, Bellevue Club, various other gyms (LA, 24, Planet, etc. you get the picture) and this checks more boxes than any other place thus far. Here’s the list of things I love about it:

1) No kids — very much a personal preference but here you won’t find kids running around all over the place like you see at both Pro Club and Bellevue Club
2) CLEAN…. CLEEEEAAAAAN!!! And not the nasty chemical smelling clean, truly it’s an immaculate gym with staff constantly cleaning everything and likeminded people cleaning up after themselves
3) Classes: I’m a serial drop-ins class person and also have a ClassPass membership. For $250ish/mo with access to Hot Yoga, Cycling, Strength Training, and SO much more, this is so worth the value?!? I mean seriously, I pay hundreds a month just on drop-ins and to be able to do all of these classes on top of open gym is such a good price especially in the Seattle/Bellevue area
4) Free parking in the Bravern; self explanatory
5) Sauna and Steam Room; again, I pay drop ins for this at City Sweats and it’s such a plus to have this unlimited. They’re closed right now for construction but will open back up in 2 weeks and I’m thrilled to see the remodel :)
6) Access to Workout Programs/Nutrition through the Lifetime App: this was a big bonus and my husband and I didn’t realize we got access to all of these when signing up — there are valuable programs for both nutrition and fitness based on your goals. These are usually pretty damn expensive and to have access to this included in your membership is a big perk. We started a 6-week shred program that tells us everything we need to do in the gym each week and we can seamlessly log it in the app. LOVE!
7) CHILL AND KIND STAFF!! Everyone who works here is SO helpful and nice— no snooty attitudes from a luxury gym. Shoutout to Meiko (I hope I’m spelling your name right lol) for getting us all signed up and taking extra time to get us familiar with the gym.
8) Transparency: no hidden fees, straightforward membership pricing, no initiation fee like Bellevue Club which is thousands (insane) and a simple cancellation process. Literally we signed up within 5 mins, no need to go through the haggling of orientation where they try to sell you on personal training etc… we signed up through the app and then immediately worked out. A dream

For people saying this is not worth the price, I disagree and have to say that it’s complete based on what you’re prioritizing in your fitness journey. Will be a member for a long time!

Minus: $$$ so expensive for what it is, floors in locker room dangerously slippery, also things keep on breaking. Just closed my membership because they shut down the showers for 5 weeks and they didn't even really close it, just converted to digital (scammy)

I’ve been a Lifetime member since 2017, and love every location I’ve ever been to, except this one. This Lifetime has a great staff, a somewhat clean facility, but little to no benefits for $280+ dollars per month. The pricing is criminal. No pool, no basketball court, very little equipment, and the sauna/steam room needs a facelift — both are constantly down. Even the wi-fi is incredibly low quality with no wi-fi extenders in the locker room.

Hopefully they (a. drop pricing now that inflation has settled near 2% or (b. build a larger facility further east. In no world (even in Bellevue) is this tiny gym worth nearly $300 a month. Add a cold plunge and a hot pool, maybe it would be worth $200, but really all you’re paying here is Bellevue tax, respectfully. Please consider adjusting pricing.

He cared for the Members and his Staff everything was so clean, It was worth the money. 💰 This New Manager Kim and Sarah are dragging this place down, they got rid of the Staff that cared about the place. And worked hard to upkeep it. Not to mention the Engineers that don't ever fix anything and stand around talking instead of actually fixing equipment. And the steam room and Sauna are always Broken its been weeks now. I don't recommend this place at all unless you want to pay 200 to 300 plus for Bodywash and broken equipment along with a Dirty Sauna floor. 0 out of 10 its just not at the standerd it use to be, a real shame. The personal trainers at this gym seem overly eager for new clients. Despite being a regular, when I brought my aunt and her friend for a workout, we were approached by three different trainers at various times. While I was simply guiding them to different machines, the trainers persistently inquired about personal training. This made my relatives, who were merely exploring the gym, feel uncomfortable and pressured to spend money. Although they initially considered joining and getting a membership, the repeated encounters have led them to conclude that this gym doesn't align with their preferences. The gym's personal training and management should exercise better discretion and avoid aggressively approaching every potential client, respecting their space and preferences.

Horrible customer service from the man working at the cafe this morning 10/28/2023. After finishing my workout, I went to the cafe, which didn’t have its hours listed, so I walked in at 8:52am. I was greeted very rudely by the man behind the counter who didn’t say hello, just announced “we don’t open for like 15 minutes” and I said “okay I’ll leave then.” He then continued to stand behind the counter doing nothing. He could have at least been nice, I walked in because the door was open, and I’m used to the weekday hours. For the price they charge, the least they could do is hire employees who treat their members with respect/good customer service. I’ve been to multiple lifetimes, and all their cafes are better than this one (the effort they put into the food/the customer service). I am definitely cancelling membership. I’ve received better customer service from a McDonald’s drive-thru employee. I’ve also worked in hospitality and customer service, if someone walks into my store 7 minute before opening because the door is open, then I’m accommodating and will help whoever walks through that door, because everyone who walks in that door pays my salary.

The gym is very clean and location is convenient with good athletic trainers. That’s all the good things I can say about this gym. The membership dues are outrageously high for the amenities they offer and the gym condition; This location only has sad excuse for a wet and dry sauna! They do not even provide the basic air conditioning needed for a gym. Management is poor, inefficient and entitled. The A/C has been broken at group exercise space for the whole summer and despite multiple complaints they are unwilling to even purchase fans to alleviate the situation and are happy that they arranged for the A/C unit getting replaced in October!

First update: we are in the middle of September and not only the a/c at GTX spot is not fixed the other areas are also broken as well. I feel like the gym is quickly declining under the new management! Extremely disappointed…

As much as I enjoy lifetime coming from a different location as well as visiting multiple locations; I noticed that this location specifically is missing what I loved the most.

Being in a locker room, they don’t have a designated changing room in each row. They’re missing a gender neutral locker space or in other terms a family room.

There are no jacuzzi or pool which is a bummer.

The machines provided are very limited and the ones that are signature machines are missing.

The class days/timing for GTX and Alpha are really limited which at times makes it hard to get into.

The cost for membership and what they have to offer is limited vs other locations.

It's a nice gym but doesn't compare to the other Life Time locations - which, for the rate, it should. This location is very small and doesn't not have any water amenities - no swimming pools (indoor or outdoor) and no jacuzzi's or cold dips. The workout area is very small and gets packed during peak hours. There is no sort of lounge or seating to simply relax for 30 minutes after coming out of the sauna. The sauna is very nice and is consistently maintained at an appropriate temperature. The steam room is very nice. If you have been to some of the nicer, well-appointed facilities you will be disappointed.

I came here on a guest pass. If you find this review helpful and end up getting a membership, bring me in on your guest pass!

This gym really lives up to the price point. Unfortunately $209 a month is beyond my budget. If I win the lottery the first thing I will do is get a membership here !!

The gym equipment here is of quality and well maintained. Most of the machines can fit a large water bottle and space for phone. There was very good variety. They had the trx setup as well. They even have the hamster wheel style treadmill (manual) .
There were plenty of towels everywhere.
It is hard to find a clean and well stock gym these days. I have been to other gyms on other friend's guest pass and never been impressed.

This place has a pilates and yoga room.
I took two classes and lifted some weights. The instructors were upbeat and friendly.

The locker room does not require you to bring a lock. The lockers are the kind where you set your own combo. The amenities in the locker room are nicer than most spas ( nicer than the Carillon point spa). It had hairspray, mouthwash, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, cottonswabs, makeup remover, q tips and lotion.

The showers had two mode: rainfall and normal. The conditioner left my hair soft.

The space outside their cafe /lobby is large and has a lot of seating. They have guest wifi too.

PARKING
This is located in the braven so there is a parking garage. The gym will validate for 6 hours.

Upon entry this sure looks 5 star. Its in a upscale who- cares shopping area. But wait. All else the same ! I'm a member in Plano TX.
I was on travel and thought I'd go get some workout.
The front desk tells me I'm not entitled because I'm not at the same level. But she let me workout today.

I've been w Lifetime for about 7 years at the level they have. I can't upgrade myself!! All I need is a workout area and showers. Period.

Management please read:
How many travelers choose to takw time from their travel hustle and work out ? 1 or 2%??
Why can't you simply honor any membership at any club for a day or two and just look good ?? Why do these petty restrictions things?

BTW this club doesn't have the small towels. They can't afford to replace the ones their upscale members steal, i guess.

Absolutely the best gym in Bellevue and the greater Seattle area. It's pricier but well worth it. The gym is spotless, the equipment is well maintained, and the team that works here really cares about the members. It's not your typical "bro" gym. It's a cool community here where everyone seems to connect on being healthy & fit. People genuinely celebrate each other's successes in classes and on the gym floor. I have a personal trainer here (Olivia) that I originally went to twice a week but have increased to 4 times a week based on the results she is helping me achieve. She works hard to program my routines and make sure she adjusts them based on what she sees in my performance. Olivia is a great trainer and if you're lucky enough to get on her schedule you'll be glad you did. Alex and Joe are also great. The spa here is incredible and I would highly recommend Simon to help you with post workout recovery with a CBD massage. The Life Cafe is a great place to fuel up, or to wind down and refuel after a hard workout. Food and smoothies are always great and the team is fun and remembers your favorites. The southwest bowl and the body builder smoothies are my favorites. You can also pick up all of your typical workout supplements as well as a range of vitamins in the cafe. There are also group classes included in your membership from hot yoga, to cycling etc. The Pilates classes can also be booked if you are looking for better mobility and range of motion. Great add-on to your routine. The front desk staff all get to know you and are super welcoming. No other gym like this in the area. If you're a business traveler, I would also recommend you get a membership that allows you to go to other Life Time facilities. There are some great ones around the country, and although I've loved them all...Bellevue is my favorite based on the people working here. Like I said...more expensive than most gyms, but you get what you pay for. This club is high quality and you'll definitely get the results you want here no matter your health and fitness goals.

I am writing this while waiting for a squat rack, because there literally are never enough, regardless of the time of day.

In comparison to other Lifetime locations, this one is severely lacking. Limited equipment. Limited facilities. Limited hours. But somehow the most expensive tier??

Equipment: 4 squat racks (never enough). Limited weight machines. All times of the day end up feeling like peak times because you’re constantly battling for space.

Facilities: No pool (indoor or outdoor). No courts (basketball, tennis, racket). No childcare.

Fees: Recently increased to cover the cost of their rent in the most expensive building. They will claim it’s to comp with other studio experiences (yoga, barre, orange theory, etc.)

Advise to management: The identity crisis at this facility is off brand for lifetime. I’ve been to 20 different locations, and loved every single one, except this one. I maintain my membership solely because I want to go to other locations when I travel. More immediately, please get more squat racks.

I decided to try out the Bellevue Lifetime Fitness location and joined less than two weeks ago. I was previously a member at the San Diego (La Jolla) location and had a good experience. Although they are both "boutique" Lifetime locations and about the same price 200 a month. However, this Bellevue location does not compare and is absolutely not worth a 200 dollar price point.

The weight room is tiny! Limited amount of equipment in a super cramped space. I look forward to my workouts, but at this location its just not enjoyable, no matter what time of day. The layout is terrible.

The parking is annoying, you have to validate every single time you visit so remember that parking ticket! The steam room is not up to the clean standards I expect Lifetime after paying this amount monthly, the smell at times is unbearable. Additionally, they close at 7pm on the weekends, which is a ridiculous time to close for any gym, let alone a luxury club.

Was hoping to have that home away from home feel that Lifetime is known for, but sadly I am cancelling my membership. Big rip off.

It's been brought to my attention Life Time Bellevue has removed my post below from public view so it makes you wonder what other kind of less-than-ideal truths and shady business practices they're hiding.

Extremely disappointed with my recent and prior experiences with Ryan Anderson, Life Time Bellevue’s General Manager. As a former member who paused my membership during the pandemic due to safety reasons and because Life Time furloughed the teachers whose classes I attended for the foreseeable future with no return date, I reached out to see what rates were for returning members in February 2022 now that one of my favorite instructors was back on the schedule. I was informed there was no benefit or incentive to being a former member, you aren’t grandfathered into your previous monthly rates (or anything close), and rates significantly rose (I was quoted a $70/month+tax increase). While Sarah Kraft from member services kindly answered my questions, Ryan Anderson, who was looped into the conversation on her day off, was extremely rude, unprofessional, and condescending. Unfortunately, this was not the first time I received this kind of tone, treatment, and disrespect from him and sadly I am not alone.

Instead of simply answering my question about how come other members who were in the exact same situation as me (canceled their membership during the thick of the pandemic and were now looking to return to as things were opening up) received more favorable rates, Ryan was very demeaning and resorted to mansplaining. His response was rather shocking and uncouth.

Sarah informed me starting on January 1, 2022 rates rose to $199/month (I was previously paying $129/month), the club was up-leveled to a Signature Club, and this was the only pricing currently offered, however, another member who I spoke with in the exact same situation and rejoined a couple weeks prior (and after Jan 1) was offered a lower rate by Sarah. Ryan later clarified they actually officially transitioned their pricing on December 16, 2021 which is yet another example of contradictory information provided by Life Time staff over the years. We’ve noticed things change based on who you’re talking to and who’s asking.

Last year in the throes of the pandemic, members were asked to start paying hold fees of $15/month+tax with no guarantee of fitness instructors being asked to return (a whole other story). Through conversations with other members, we learned we were all being asked to start paying this hold fee at different times rather than all at the same time which seemed strange. When I reached out about this, Ryan denied there was differential treatment/opportunities being provided yet members were clearly being asked to start paying hold fees at different times and unfortunately it sounded like I was one of the earlier ones per my conversations with other members. Ryan’s response at this time was yet again very rude and unprofessional.

It is very disappointing to see someone in a leadership position lack basic customer service skills and common decency when a customer is trying to get more information about rejoining which is supposed to be an exciting and stress-free situation. This type of approach from any level, especially management, detracts from brand affinity and reduces customer retention and referral. If it weren’t for the amazing fitness instructors who are slowly returning and bringing us back, many of us would probably not even be considering returning based on our experiences with Ryan and the customer service we’ve received over the years.

Side note, apparently during the pandemic, this club was “up-leveled” to from a Diamond to a Signature Club which means rates are significantly higher, you have to pay for Small Group Training services you don’t necessarily want/need because it’s now one set price, all while the facilities remained the same (still significantly less amenities than other Diamond and Signature Clubs), hours of operations were reduced, and the group fitness classes weren’t as robust as prior to this up-leveling.

Really nice gym with a pretty good assortment of weight training equipment. The guys at the front desk are super friendly and welcoming, and were by far the best front desk staff of any gym I’ve been to. Even during peak times I never had to wait long for equipment. Most people here are pretty courteous and have good gym etiquette. There is one guy who’s there in after work (balding guy with accent) who acts like this is his own gym - never reracks his weights, always talking loudly on his phone, and puts his belongings on equipment that he’s planning to use, before he’s using it. Other than him, it’s a pretty pleasant environment. I’ve now moved away and go to a new gym, and find myself missing lifetime Bellevue.

I only have good things to say about this amazing fitness club for the few years I have been a member. First off, the facility is high-end, gorgeous and super clean. The staff are exceptional and really go out of the way to personally make each member is satisfied and happy. They are so accomodating and friendly. The welcoming smiles and genuine care they greet you with every visit really keeps you motivated. The price is totally worth it for everything they provide from a top notch facility to a wonderful atmosphere. During the pandemic, they really prioritized member safety and made us feel very comfortable exercising in the space by doing things such as providing free face shields, improving air quality/circuluation and commiting to maintaining a sanitary environment. Highly highly recommended!!

Update: with the mask mandate effectively over, the bottom part doesn’t apply anymore, but I will leave it as a historical datapoint.

What IS really nice is that I got a call from Sarah who wanted to speak to me about this, and see if something can be done. Very cool, this is the first time anyone has ever reached out to me over a Google review. Bumping my score since I’ve been pretty happy with the gym overall.

Older: No one seems to care about covid precautions here. They let people with just face shields and no mask to enter and work out, like face shields do anything. A lot of people wear masks but never cover their nose. Today I witnessed someone who had the mask barely on their chin while walking around and loudly talking on the phone. The whole time. I have yet to see any of the staff warn these people about this. Frightening, especially in light of King County covid numbers going up.

Otherwise the gym itself is good. It’s big and has a wide variety of new equipment.

***update**** I’m switching companies to downtown Seattle and I have been looking at all the options downtown. Lifetime has absolutely spoiled me and nothing quite compares to it. The classes, the individual class rooms, the cleanliness, and the friendliness of the staff. I can’t recommend this gym enough. ***end of update****

After having a 24 hr fitness membership forever, I needed some motivation. So, I joined OTF but wanted more. Went to CF but hated the one-hour concept.

So, I started looking around and wanted something clean with good classes (in case I want to take them). I used to have a lifetime fitness membership in Colorado and decided to check it out. I inquired online, and they set me up with a consultant. The guy was super friendly, no BS, and knew all about my old location.

It doesn’t have a pool. Which I never use but seem to have always found an attractive value add for no reason. But let me tell you. The locker rooms are meticulously cleaned. They provide disposable razors, which I use when I work out in the morning. The steam and sauna are separated and always clean.

The weight section itself s a bit dense but does just fine. But they have like five squat racks. Which is amazing. I’ve gone during prime time, and the gym feels manageable. The spa like feel makes it less threatening for those that don’t love gyms. They have great cardio equipment that log to an app which also have video workouts on them. Pretty cool.

Lastly, the staff is very friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure everything is properly taken care of. Oh, and they have a pretty good deal on their breakfast.

Life Time is clean and well kept gym. I love their spa. Massage therapist are well trained. Life Cafe is very clean and fast and good food. I wish they change their menu or have specials in the cafe. I am going there for a year and get tired of eating the same food. Trainers are awesome. I did 3 months personal training. Only thing, I didn’t like about training is rescheduling. I had to cancel few times my training appointment ( a day before the appointment) because I was not feeling good and they charge me full price. I understand they have to cover cost but 100% is too much. I understand 50% charge. Not having flexibility in schedule doesn’t want me to join training again. There are other few things I don’t care for at the gym. But staff really tries their best. I will recommend this to my friends and family.

Absolutely love this gym. Signed up as a Founding Member well before the doors opened, and ever since the customer service has been fantastic. The staff is friendly, accommodating, helpful, welcoming, and personable. The staff is consistent too, which leads me to believe they enjoy their jobs and there's not a lot of turn over (which speaks volumes to the culture of Life Time Fitness).

The gym itself is beautiful and stylish, and the equipment is top notch and diverse. Offering complimentary classes is also a huge bonus.

And for the people who don't think the pricing is justified, well you get what you pay for. For Bellevue standards, it's reasonable. I'm happy to pay a little extra for a gym that is sanitary and spotless because it's cleaned 24/7 and for staff that is passionate about fitness. Not to mention the countless complimentary classes they offer (sure beats paying $30 for one spin class elsewhere). And they have a healthy cafe and spa services on site, what more could you ask for?!

I am thrilled with our membership at Lifetime Fitness. The range of class offerings that are included with my monthly fee is great. It works out to be much less expensive than a punch card for yoga or barre elsewhere. No matter what time of day I am able to get to the gym there are several options from spin to yoga to strength training from which to choose. In addition I highly value the professionalism and welcoming attitude of all of the staff from front desk to instructors. I appreciate the fact that there is someone making sure that class instructors are there and that all of the equipment is up and running. A great example is when I arrived for spin a bit late last week and the instructor was already in action but there was another staff person there to be sure I knew how to set up my bike and get going without disrupting the class. Thank you for making going to the gym such a positive experience.

Squat racks are reserved during prime gym time for those enrolled in a special class. There were multiple times in the 2 months I was a member in which I got really sweaty, then went downstairs to shower only to find all of the showers randomly closed, so I had to get the interior of my car all raunchy driving home. Same thing happens with the steam room too, just randomly closed. Member services gave a complimentary 1/2 hour massage for the inconvenience. I gave the massage to my GF to use (she also HAD a membership), and they gave her an hour massage without her knowledge (she fell asleep) and charged her for the difference. We have a voicemail from the Spa confirming a HALF HOUR appointment, that didn't matter.

Memberships here cost about 3-5x as much as surrounding gyms. I was a founding member of the gym and was really excited for this place to open but after being a member it really feels like the insanely expensive membership is more of an entry fee into the gym so that you can pay for other things. Like a ticket to Disney World, it'll get you in, but everything inside costs Twilight Zone amounts of money.

I got an hour sit down session with a personal trainer to assess my goals. He told me how much I weighed, my BMI, explained where I should expect to be in 60 days (but gave me no instruction on how to get there other than "workout"), then spent 45 minutes trying to up-sell me group classes and supplements. He even went so far as telling me that the "ON Whey Isolate" I buy at costco is sketchy because 'you never know whats actually in there', so I need to buy the Lifetime Whey Powder.

Terrible customer service and complete lack of respect for other people's time. Apparently trying to become a member requires advance appointments and blocks of time. Don't even bother trying to try out the gym.

I was member of the David Barton gym and totally ready to join this gym since it's in the same location, but I wanted to try working out here first to make sure I like it. Seems reasonable, right? So, I called to ask if I could come in and try out the gym as a prospective member, and was told that I had to sign up online. Um, why? I signed up online and then received an email from a "Membership Consultant" stating that I would have to schedule an appointment for a tour and then "experience Life Time for the day." Excuse me, but I have a job and a family--I don't have all day to try out a new gym. So I replied to the "Membership Consultant" and reiterated that I just wanted to try out the gym before becoming a member. In response, I received this complete nonsense:
"Since we are a private fitness facility, we do want to ensure prospective members are able to check out the club, and experience it prior to making any decisions. We do cover the cost of a day pass ( $35) , so that pass does come with a tour with an account manager, they go over membership options and then activate a pass for the prospective member to use the club. I hope you understand the process and I’m happy to get a visit arranged."

No. N-O. I've belonged to several "private" gyms and have always -- ALWAYS -- been able to drop in an try them out before meeting with a sales person. It's just common sense.

Life Time's "process" cost them a new paying member.

The cafe is convenient, healthy and delicious and if you order off the special menu you save more money! As a former DBG member, they made an excellent use of space and have so many great services to offer.

You pay for what you get. The service and facility is like a first class flight.

It's expensive, but not cost prohibitive. It is no more than a membership to yoga for a month. It's clean, well equipped, lots of friendly people to help you and the best part is there are so many classes to choose from that are part of your membership dues. There's cycling, yoga, fitness, strength training and more. The bathroom/locker room is stocked with the necessities to clean up after a sweaty workout. I am thoroughly impressed and happy that Bellevue finally has a clean, upscale gym that I can play at all day long! I just hope it stays as nice as it is now.

I've been a member or Lifetime Fitness several times (as I move around a lot) and I was excited to see them moving into Bellevue. I inquired on membership rates, and nearly choked on my chicken mini's when they told me the monthly membership and enrollment rates. I'll be happy to stick with my $24 option nearby.

I don't understand how someone can give a 1 star, when the place hasn't opened yet, and based on the price. That's like me going to BMW and wanting to pay 200$ a month for an M5 series, because a Honda was in that price range. This place isn't a normal gym, it's a club, that is going to offer a lifestyle, nice showering products, amenities, classes and etc. You are getting what you pay for. You're not a hostage, so stopping feeling so entitled to where you can give a 1 star on price.

Anyways, after visiting several LTFs around America, I can confidently say this place is going to be awesome when it is opened. I get the annoyance with waiting for it to open, hopefully at the end of March. But it was no secret that it wasn't finalized. If you think deadlines are often met on the first set date, you set some bad expectations for yourself.

Those that are saying $150 a month is too much have never been to a Lifetime Fitness. Most gyms that are a lot less, give you a lot less, and if you want certain classes, you have to pay more for them. Everything is included in LTF membership. Belonged to one in TX and very excited to have them coming here!!

Absolutely love Life Time and this club looks like no exception!! Such a unique model and cool location! If you have been paying ridiculous prices to try various fitness studios and boutiques - SAVE YOUR MONEY! Life Time has it all and then some. Take a warrior sculpt class and grab a shake from the LifeCafe on your way out ;) Member of 12+ years and never looked back!

I was told they were opening in late 2017... so I didn't get a membership anywhere using the sub-par Mercer Island Community Center to workout... I was so excited that it was just a month away from opening now I'm told Feb or March because of a mold issue.. should I have to continue to pay a hold fee every month.. now I need to find another gym to join because I can't wait any longer.... lifetime fitness was my favorite place and now they are just ruining my life...

$149 is an incredible deal for what you get! And it's all unlimited.

Three different Spin classes, Barre, yoga, hot yoga, Pilates, strength training classes for various muscle groups and fitness goals including cross-training, free weights and cardio machines, steam and sauna in the locker rooms, new modern facilities, an organic vegan friendly cafe, and an onsite spa. I'm sure there's more but that's what I know about.

SoulCycle charges $260 for a mere 10 classes. Flywheel charges $410/month for unlimited Barre and spin classes. Shakti Vinyasa yoga charges $110/month for unlimited sessions/$150 for a 10 class pass. CrossFit Amped charges $195/month for unlimited sessions.
LifeTime is an amazing deal! I'm in!

$149/month per person?! Total ripoff, looks like they want to take advantage of the first people to join. I don't care what amenities they have. There are so many better options in the area.
