Been to many gyms over the years that have felt like any other box gym.

North Hill has been the complete opposite for me. From the moment I walk in, the staff know me by my name and always asks me what I’m working out today. The owner (Kunwar) has done an outstanding job with maintenance of the gym and making sure all the members are satisfied with the equipment.

If you are looking for a gym to start your fitness journey at or a gym to lift some serious weight, sign up. You wont be disappointed.

If you want to go to a gym that is clean, cares about their members, has really amazing employees, good solid equipment, is open 24 HOURS/7 DAYS a week this is for you! 🩵

We came in to ask about a membership and worked with Max. He was extremely knowledgeable about the different membership options and had a great way of selling without making you feel like you were being sold. He was friendly and is a great first impression for this gym! 💪🏼

Pretty good gym, 24 hour access is by far the best part. New equipment shows up every now and then. If I could make 2 suggestions it would be please add some sort of central air system to cycle the gym air out and fresh air in (place is rank when you first walk in), and please add wi-fi. Other than those 2 things NHF gets the job done.

This gym is one of those gyms for all .
It has everything you need to meet any goal you are trying to achieve. Members are friendly and helpful whenever asked. Lockers are out on the gym floor making them very convenient. The new owner has been upgrading on equipment and recently a new sauna. It's just a nice gym with good people and has everything you want in a gym with the rite price for monthly dues .

I’ve been a member since like 2014. It’s been a great gym primarily for value, meaning it’s significantly cheaper than other gyms. I stopped going in 2020 but continued to pay for 3yrs b4 realizing the new owners raised the membership without notifying anyone.
If they hadn’t touched the membership prices I would’ve continued to pay and not go just because it’s so cheap. Now I have to cancel and find another gym.
They’re pretty pricey considering how basic the gym is.

Nice, clean, quiet (relatively, except the odd occasion when the sound system is blasting) and well stocked gym. Good value for the price. Some broken equipment, but no more than almost any other gym I have used. Lots of free weights, but good supply of weight machines and cardio equipment (which is rarely even close to full use). Locally owned with attention to the gym condition. 24 hour access is nice.

UPDATE 1/26 Received a phone call from the new owner of club. He provided some good customer service by responding to the situation and listening to our concerns. Looking forward to checking out some of the club updates/enhancements with the family. (We have always enjoyed the family -oriented feel of this facility.)

I have faithfully paid for a membership here since 2004, so nearly 20 years. I'm here to comment on the apparent policies for expired cards on file. In the past over the years, I'd get a friendly call from a NHF staff saying my card didn't go through, I'd update them with the new number, and be good for years. THIS time, I didn't get any call. I proactively called them, the pleasant young woman told me she didn't know how to take a payment and there was no manager there. She offered to take my number down and have someone call me. No one did. Instead, I got a collections letter for $29!! I went to pay on Monday Jan 2, after seeing the website said they'd be open. I called first, but nobody answered and there wasn't voicemail? Ok...fine, they are short staffed since its a holiday type thing...I DROVE there to pay the $29. Sign on the door said they actually WEREN'T open (which I get, but website said specifically they WERE), and there were at least two dues in there working out on machines!! LOL Whatever...So after two attempts on my part to update my card number and pay $29, I tried a third and drove in person on my day off and this time I canceled. I don't need the hassle if this is going to happen every time a card needs to be updated. There's too many other options within a 5 mile radius. I kept paying this membership because I thought I was supporting a small, local business. Feels like its just a cash cow for someone now. Lindsey was very helpful though.

I've been a member of this gym for about 5 months now. Since joining, it's gone under new ownership/Management. I miss the previous owners. They were more personable and ran a cleaner establishment. Now, I've noticed a severe decline in cleanliness. The restrooms are beyond disgusting. As of late, I've noticed a cleaner environment in the gym areas but the restrooms leave far too much to be desired. I hope they soon get more on the ball. It's imperative.

Under new management and couldn't be happier. Yesterday was our first time trying North Hill Fitness in Edgewood, WA; located across the street from the less than desirable Planet Fitness. We were instantly greeted by handsome Dan and got us signed up and going right away. No matter what fitness level you are (Beginner, Novice, or Pro Athlete) or type of fitness you're into (Powerlifting, Bodybuilding, Functional, etc) they have got something at North Hill that will get you to your goals.

So what really differentiates these guys from the rest? It is simply the people. All the employees are very knowledgeable, passionate, and professional in every aspect. The gym culture both here and there other location (Dungeon Strength Rx) is designed to make you feel like family.

Working out at North Hill Fitness has been a real treat and probably one of the best gym-going experiences I've had. If you are in the area for a day, a week or a month do yourself a favor and check out North Hill Fitness in Edgewood, WA.

The new management and ownership at North Hill fitness is fantastic! Adding a ton of new equipment and making some real changes to get the culture of lifting back into North Hill Fitness! Super friendly environment and extremely supportive of lifters of all skill levels. A good mixture of cardio, free weights, and cable machines makes all my workouts a lot more effective. Can’t wait to see what the new management team does next!

This gym is a joke. Haven’t worked our at this gym in over 6 months. Moved out of state and called to cancel the membership. Lady spoke and said he’d cancel and could take care of it. 6 months later after multiple payments remain being taken out of account, a guy named Berry called me. Explained situation. I do not know if he’s the owner or manager, but what a joke this guy is. Arguing with a loyal customer who pays and accusing me of lying. This place is a joke! I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent experience this morning with Cody at front desk. I've been a member before and left for a bit. Back again! Can NOT beat the membership rates! Inquired about personal trainers and rates. See how that goes... very pleased with the simplicity and clarity of how Cody expanded the various fee structures.
What to expect: this is a co-OP membership of a sort. Just know that there is an annual maintenance fee assessed every April. It's just 30 bucks... so... but you dont want to feel blind-sided. This fee has been around since at least the 4 years back when I first joined... I suspect it's been around since opening. It's very little if considered per month... anyway, that's my share

This place is a rip off! Not only do they charge too much for basic equipment and no classes, they have no locker room, no showers. We cancelled our membership in the 30 day window and they still charged us an extra month and the yearly “maintenance” fee. We didn’t use the membership at all in over 60 days and was told it would still be available until January but then we get charged for the next month too. Such a waste of money! Better off driving a little ways to planet fitness or LA fitness, frankly anywhere but here.

Excellent atmosphere, it's got a hometown feel that you won't get anywhere else, our community is kind and encouraging. There's plenty of free weights which is a huge plus, as well as machines. The trainers also hold an abundance of knowledgeable as well as respect your space if you decline training!

Great place for the price you pay! The gym itself is relatively small but for the most part you are not competing too often with other individuals for machines, benches, or cardio equipment unless you are unlucky. The gym has one squat rack, two benches, and two four sided cable machines.

The young blonde guy that works on Saturday morning is not very friendly. Theres a few times when I came in the morning where he looks annoyed me being there few minutes before opening or hes just unhappy being there. They should have somebody who is friendly and happy working up front or they’ll end up losing some of their clients. I know I’m thinking of switching back to my old gym. He’s not very welcoming.

It's a decent gym, very clean and not super busy. Good for the price. Only one squat rack and no dedicated stretching area so it can get cramped. No shower or sauna as well. You get what you pay for.

Used to be 4 star review. After going in and cancelling my membership I was charged a yearly renewel fee and two months extra membership. Poor customer service.

The owner is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. As far as Emily saying "the staff is not very helpful with helping show customers how to use the equipment" not everyone that works there is a personal trainer. It's a smaller gym so there are only a couple trainers. The other staff is there to clean the place, check people in, and help with membership questions. I wouldn't want a receptionist showing me how to workout. (I guess Emily does.) If you have any questions about technique or the equipment, there are trainers there that are more than willing to answer questions. Also maybe Emily is going through menopause?? Cause the gym is not hot, especially more than outside. The bottom line is.. This gym is the place you want to workout at if you don't want to feel like you are at a night club. (like all the other big gyms out there.) The place is clean, staff is great, the other members are not perverts that try to hit on everyone.. And there are no guys that just go to gyms to scream when they lift weight to get people to pay attention to them. The other important thing to mention is the gym fees are crazy low.. There are no stupid 17 different start up charges either. The bottom line is that this place is worth checking out.

This is a great place for a quick workout. It does not have showers as it is geared for showing up, working out, and heading home. They just got new equipment in the last year and I like this location. It used to be across the street, but the new location allowed them to get an updated look and new style bathrooms. Very nice.
