Have been playing here for several years so it is my home course and I love it. I play in both the 18 and 9 hole ladies leagues which are great fun. The course is challenging but not discouraging. It is also pleasantly walkable. The professional pro shop staff are excellent and always willing to help..While it it's fun to play other courses I’m always happy to get back to Oakbrook.

I have not played the course yet. This review is solely for the driving range. It’s definitely an outdated range that feels like an afterthought. The mats are pretty well used. The distance markers are all in need of repair. A large bucket of balls cost $18, more than most of the ranges in the area. The pro shop employee did not seem excited to help me when I walked in. I’ll update my review once I play a round here, but the driving range is worse than most in Tacoma/Lakewood.

Oakbrook is a great course, challenging & always well-maintained. We love this place and the atmosphere. Everyone in the pro shop is excellent, especially Bertram & this course is family-friendly. Our children, 9-11, utilize the course & attended the junior camp program last summer. As golf club members we plan to continue our membership.

My wife and I recently purchased property that opens up to a small portion of the course and we have both been interested in trying out the course and possibly even getting membership. I personally went to look at the course today, to get a feel for it, and was asked to leave the property since I didn’t have a membership. It was explained to me that even with a membership you cannot simply walk to view the course. This was news to me, since our realtor had nothing but the nicest things to say about the club and mentioned that you could easily go and check the area out personally. Aside from the restaurant (The Adriatic) being decent, I would highly advise going over to Chambers Bay Golf Course instead. They have been very accommodating and friendly, not to mention the view is absolutely gorgeous in contrast, as it opens up to the water.

Staff has to be the most non patient and least understanding folks I’ve ever encountered. Played multiple times and each visit to the pro shop before the round was not pleasant. Staff needs training on basic communication and people skills. Never written a 1 star review ever but have mercy, these guys didn’t impress me.

After me and my 4 year old daughter were turned away from meadow park due to a "no cash" policy, my daughter was heart broken. I desperatly called around to find a place that could accomodate us last minute and took cash. They not only accomodated us, they squeeked us in under the wire and bent over backwards to make my daughters first golf experience happen. I am eternally grateful for their efforts. What a wonderful staff and frankly, beautiful greens. I might suck at golf, but i appreciate those things. We will definetly be back. Thank you guys for everything!

It is a little confusing finding the restaurant in the building if you have never visited before. It is actually located in the middle. So if you park by the arc driveway or along the woods you will be closest for walking. My family and I sat on the patio in the shade which was nice. There was one server but he kept up well with everyone. We ordered everything at once, got our appetizer first then drinks and finally dinner. We had the caprese salad, margarita pizza, halibut and beef bolognese. The drinks were strong, we had an old fashion and two blushing lemon drops. The food is good and has great portions. Would recommend and will return.

It was a little slow tonight. Alot of open seating. Food was excellent. I had the Lasagna, I highly recommend trying that. Waitresses were friendly and attentive. I was at the reasturant for the Italian food nit the the golf club but it was very pretty and well maintained.

I was surprised how awesome the course is! Holes have alot of character. By far my favorite out of 3 Ryan Moore courses. If you're a slicer of the ball, alot of the holes will make you uncomfortable standing on the tee. I played there with a cut player, me being a more draw player, and there were definitely more holes that suited my ball flight over his. It helps to be able to hit the ball both ways. But you could definitely get around the course using less than driver. The rough was no joke. Really thick!! The greens rolled pretty good. The grounds keepers definitely put the pins in hard spots the day we played. They got a decent practice facility, not the best by any means. But I assure you it's alot better than some. I highly recommend it! Fun but challenging track!

The 1 star is there because the maintenance crew works super hard and are great people. The management in the pro shop on the other hand made me feel the most disrespected I have ever felt as an employee. The GM went out of his way to make me feel like a loser because I found a better job for my career path. Fun course, terrible experience. Will never be back.

Oakbrook used to be a great course. Still an ok track, but the facilities are really run down, even the tee boxes are showing wear. RMG appears to be milking every penny. Now they've Implimentation a "no-show" fine. Book a foursome & your buddy gets a flat, they fine you $25. Pathetic. I'll be doing my golf on the other fine courses in the area from now on.

Impossible to book for an event!!! Been trying to book a wedding here for the past month and can’t get ahold of anyone but the restaurant. Every time I call and ask to speak to an event coordinator they put me on hold for a few minutes just to turn around and tell me to leave a message with them. I have left my name and number at least 3 times with a restaurant person and another 2 times with the online inquiry and not a single response. Very disappointed in the lack of communication from these people!!!

The course is in country club condition, very well manicured, friendly & helpful staff. Great layout, outstanding value, not crowded. The only criticism is that the green fees are more if you book through by phone, but you can't reserve online if you're a single (minimum online reservation is 2 golfers), but their website does not state this. Otherwise, great experience!

Best game winter golf around (I played on 3/3/2019), drains perfectly no soggy spots, course was well kept and has that cool old county club feel (hence it used to be private) with the course being narrow with houses everywhere. Staff was super friendly and customer service was on point. I would play there more if I didn’t live in Renton, but I will go back soon and plan to bring a group to do a scramble (team event) there. If you're looking for the best publicly accessible golf course in the Tacoma region, look no further. All of the classic charm of a country club - tree lined fairways, pure and fast greens, great clubhouse and restaurant facilities - but open to the public. Friendly and considerate staff, welcoming environment. They do have membership offerings as well, which based on the rates also have to be the best value around. Can't get enough of this place, proud to call it my home course.

Mary and Alyssa helped coordinate a lovely catered spread for my grand opening party, the food was fantastic as was the service. I loved this golf course, but I have to admit I am biased because I worked there for 5 years. I think it is one of the best layouts around and was in great shape the last two times I played it. I would have given it five stars,but I was there a couple weeks ago and was disturbed by what I saw. The Ryan Moore Group destroyed this golf course. They cut almost every fir tree on the course down. I am glad they were not interested in the oaks. The RMG group is bad for the industry, enviroment and should be banned from one of the top industries in our state.
