I used to be at LA Fitness but LA Fitness did not meet my powerlifting needs in the slightest, people were rude and the equipment was made for a casual gym goer. Over the last year, Odin’s has blown my expectations out of the water, I will be saddened to leave this gym when moving. It has the BEST and WARMEST gym community I’ve seen after going to many gyms in the area, it has the largest assortment of equipment (genuinely every single piece of powerlifting or strength training equipment you could dream of) and is never overly crowded. It’s not the place you’ll see 10 teens crowding around all the cable machines while chatting. You’ll see hard working people wanting to improve themselves. The owners reflect this, they are always positive, they are always adding new areas, expanding, upgrading, etc. It’s clear they put their soul into this gym. Thank you Iris and Josh for providing a dope gym to the area!

I went here prior to enlisting and I miss it. 24/7 access to the gym and the environment was amazing. I like to push my self and whenever I failed a set someone would come spot me or help me fix my set up. It was just a really welcoming setting even to women which was something I struggled to find when looking at local gyms. After I shipped out they started renovating the outdoors area and I will definitely be coming back next time I’m in vancover.

Nothing but great experiences at this gym. It gets better with every work out. The owners are great. Very happy that it's locally owned and operated. It's very clean. Members are great about re-racking weights and cleaning up after themselves. Reminds me of how great locally owned gyms used to be before they got priced out by these California based gyms. I'll gladly pay more for quality. Equipment maybe old but its so much better. Definitely way different than Planet Fitness, LA Fitness, and 24 Hr Fitmess.

I’ve been coming to this gym now for 8 months and only have positive things to say about my experience. As a woman who has been hyper focused for most of her life on cardio and being as thin as possible, initially it was a bit intimidating to be surrounded by people who are experienced with strength training (not something I’ve ever done before). Ironically, the reality is that I’ve never been a part of a more inclusive and supportive fitness community than what I’ve found at Odin’s. If you’re on the fence about joining this gym, take the leap! The people here will catch you when you fall and will help you along your journey towards good health. Also, for all my girlies who think being skinny is better than being strong, I can promise you… it isn’t!!

This gym is perfect. It has everything you could possibly need. Tons of equipment, heavy dumbbells, and a great atmosphere to push yourself.
The owners, Josh and Iris, are amazing and truly care about their members, always listening to feedback and making improvements.
The gym is clean, well-maintained, and the music keeps the energy up. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. If you're serious about fitness and looking for the best gym in the area, this is the one to join!

Odin’s Strength is a true gem. This is a great spot for experienced lifters and beginners alike with a welcoming atmosphere and an insane variety of equipment. You can really tell the owners care with the constant improvement of the facilities and addition of new, and sometimes fully custom equipment. I’ve never had to wait for a bench, rack, or platform even at peak hours. The people who work out here, especially the nighttime crowd, have been nothing but cool, helpful, and informative. Well worth the price of membership.

I feel like a kid in a candy store here! Odin's has a ton of equipment you won't find anywhere else. The "old-school" feel and plethora of training equipment is top-notch. I love being able to come anytime I want to without sitting at home, waiting for my gym to open. I also LOVE not having to step around tri-pods, navigate around groups of people, or wait for people sitting on machines. People come here to work , and it allows me to maximize my efficiency during my workouts.

The best gym I’ve been to for powerlifting/bodybuilding. You won’t find your typical 10 rows of elliptical equipment and treadmills here, this isn’t a big box gym, but that’s why I love this place.
Dedicated stations for all your main lifts, and they are very rarely all being used at the same time. All the equipment/attachments your gym addicted heart could ever desire. Every person in the gym I have met is here is friendly and not here to play around and make reels for their influencer page lol.
Owners are awesome! But we all know the dog is the real gym manager here, I’ve been visited several times during a workout and it’s always a welcomed break for some quick pets. 🐕

I just joined this gym. It has an “old school” vibe. Some equipment looks older but works just as good as any other. The only thing I would appreciate is updated cardio equipment. A different/new stairstepper (it’s rusty and squeaky and it won’t let you go down on speed only up so if you want to go down you have to cancel the whole w and start back up)…And another treadmill, not the assault runner type. Maybe a new cable set up. But those are the only major things I would appreciate. Overall it’s less busy. It gives me less anxiety. And I’m still building back my confidence in the gym the more familiar I get with it (new crowd, new gym, different equipment etc.). Overall super happy with it.

This is simply a great gym. It has a large selection of free weights and equipment, and there is plenty of room so you don't have to maneuver around people. It is truly inclusive - patrons are respectful of each other, no matter their gender, body type, appearance, or level of training. The simple one-number monthly fee (quite reasonable) and contract is a welcome change from the complicated fee structure and contracts of many other gyms. 24/7 access makes it easy to consistently fit in your workouts around the rest of your life. I've used military and civilian gyms regularly for more than 40 years, and this is one of the best. The couple that own and operate it are experienced lifters and bodybuilders, which really shows in how it is set up and run.

I'll preface by saying my husband and I are from Texas where it's so hot the only thing to do is go to the gym, therefore we are spoiled in terms of many options of family owned bodybuilding centric gyms. We've been in gyms for over 10 years, and Odin's Strength is one of our top three, and my personal favorite.
The owners are knowledgeable, experienced in their respective pursuits, open to any questions or just to have a great conversation, and professional. It shows in the culture of their gym.
Members are focused on their personal goals, have great gym etiquette, and are friendly.
The gym itself has top of the line equipment for general fitness, bodybuilding, powerlifting, and strongman pursuits. The owners are always bringing in innovative equipment. The space is always clean and organized. Everyone puts things back where they belong.
We are grateful to Josh and Iris for the work they have put in to make this gym a place we look forward to every day.

So please come get a membership, you will LOVE IT!!!

Absolutely love this place. It has possibly everything you could ever need and the owners are constantly adding to it and upgrading. You also cannot beat the price and availability (24 hours, come on).
The only downside would be that maybe this place isn't the most absolute beginner friendly (i.e. if you walk in without a specific program to follow, this might pose a challenge for you), but the members are great and I'm sure they'd be willing to help if asked.

Long story short.
When you want to find a great place in Vancouver to lift weights you have to work out at Odin’s Gym.
My only regret is that I missed the strip mall days. Based on old pictures the place looked epic. I’m glad that my journey finally got me to Odin’s Gym.

Was super excited to go to this gym on leave, but was turned off by the territorial owner. Especially when she snapped at me for yawning, "Am I boring you?"
As badly as I wanted to join, it wasn't worth it. When she asked if we wanted to join at the end I asked for a moment to huddle with my wife and we both agreed we couldn't subject ourselves to this. "Sorry Iris, you have just been too insulting. We are not going to join," I said when we returned.
We just went to a normal gym with normal customer service instead. Maybe she will get it together in the future. Maybe not. Good luck to them.

One of the owners, Iris, was EXTREMELY rude and condescending towards me and my husband when we came to tour this gym. She was rude from the moment we stepped in the door until we left, which was bizarre because we were polite and eager to join Odin's Strength Gym.
I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone--go somewhere with good customer service or build a home gym instead.
Edit:
This idea that my husband was annoyed the whole time is a complete fabrication. As I said, he was eager to join, even more than I was.
My husband asked for Iris' name because she never introduced herself.
After Iris gave us the tour, my husband said, "Well, I don't have any questions, and I think we're both ready to sign up." Iris snapped at him, "I still need to tell you more things," and then gave me an irritated look like, "Can you believe this guy?" I guess it must be very irritating when someone is interested in joining your gym.
When my husband yawned, Iris did not ask if he was tired or bored, she angrily said, "Am I boring you??" Yawning is an involuntary reflex. If you think it is rude, I recommend researching the causes and reasons behind why people yawn.
It's weird that Iris says my husband wouldn't have been able to get a guest pass because we were the ones who decided to leave without a pass.
I worked for years in customer service, so please believe me when I say that Iris does not have any customer service skills. I think her response to my review is further proof of that.

After gym hopping and looking to find a place to call “home” I’m glad I came across this place. They have damn near everything under the sun you could ask for in a gym for equipment. Caters to everyone from powerlifting, bodybuilding, strongman, or even general fitness. Membership is affordable, and the environment is friendly and never busy. Owners are cool and down to earth people that are willing to help with a spot or answer questions you may have. Definitely worth the 38 mile round trip drive I take to go here 3-4 times a week lol

I've been going to this gym for a few years and over this time the owners have continually improved and refined the space to give their customers the absolute best possible gym experience in SW WA. There's 24/7 access, straightforward memberships with no contract, a clean bathroom, and plenty of equipment whether you're into bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, or just general fitness. Everyone is super polite and down-to-earth. And somehow it's never even overly busy. Overall this is my go-to gym in the Vancouver area.

Ya ever walk into a place and feel at home?
This is it. This is the gym.
The other members are amazing, from 12 AM car talk during rests, to being helpful spotters, with absolutely no shame, no embarrassment.
The owners are both awesome people, super kind and knowledgeable. The different machines, specialty bars/grips and weights, make it nearly impossible to not have something new to do, or variations. I can't recall a single thing that I've thought "Ah, it'd be really cool if they had _____"
They definitely have spent a lot of time, and thought into catering the gym to lifters, old and new, of all skill levels and all varieties, and I am absolutely here for it.
Thank yooouu!
Update: 8 Months later and I still absolutely love it here. Thank you both for your dedication, and thank you to my fellow go-ers for making such a great environment!

This is one of the best gyms in Vancouver Washington. The equipment here is amazing, theres a good amount of squat racks, the dumbbell rack is so huge here, and most importantly the community here is great. At first since it was advertised and labeled as a powerlifting gym I was a little anxious because i'm not the biggest guy and definitely not strongest, but as I joined the people were very supportive, giving me advice, tips, being friendly. Love to see it. The 24 Hr part is the best thing here. it's so convenient I can come at any time. It's not busy here at all ever. It doesn't feel like a commerical gym. It's feels like a private gym, filled with people all working hard to achieve their goals. The leg section is crazy too. great gym, sign up baby.

I’ve Been training here for about 8 weeks now.
I’m reluctant to talk it up publicly because I like that it isn’t crowded, but it’s a good gym and I think the owners do a great job with it.
Not only do they have good equipment, but they regularly keep adding to what they have. They recently bought a bunch of calibrated kilo plates and a nice Rogue combo rack. This is in addition to the high quality equipment they already had (including lots of quality Rogue and Elite FTS equipment). I can tell that they frequently invest money back into the gym. Their latest addition had to have cost several grand.
I stopped training at commercial gyms a few years back. I was tired of garbage barbells, cheap benches, not enough squat racks, nowhere to deadlift, and an abundance of “basic bros” taking up a lot of space. Also, I felt out of place lifting heavy in a commercial gym. I built up my home gym with a squat rack as the center piece, but I needed something close to my work and it was nice to have access to equipment that I wouldn’t be able to afford or have room for at home.
Odin’s Strength is definitely a good place if you don’t like training at commercial gyms. You don’t feel out of place if you are a strength athlete, but also plenty of the members aren’t necessarily powerlifters, strongmen, or bodybuilders. There are plenty of general population lifters who want to train in a different environment.
Best of all, their pricing is great. It’s clear that Josh and Iris do all they can to cater to the experience of athletes training at their gym.

The elite gym of Vancouver. My husband and I stayed in the area for two weeks during a move from Fort Hood, TX to Fort Lewis, Wa. They accommodated us with a two week access pass. After a horrid move with a newborn this gym was an amazing escape. It has 24 hour access, we never saw a busy time, my husband loved the availability to truly train at a strong man level. Love it! Great gym with a wide variety of equipment and knowledgeable staff and owners. They are pet friendly and support our community in many ways. If you are serious about your fitness goals, this is the place. No clicks, no fashion police, no F-boys, no drama. Just straight up lifting heavy stuff!! Love this place!!!

The best strong man or woman, power lifting, body building, no frills gym you can get for you buck. Not to mention you get 24/7 access. The owners are awesome and are constantly adding new gear. I've never met an unfriendly person there. It's a nice change from a globo gym. Lockers are provided like most other gyms, but no shower in the restroom. You just have to go check it out for yourself.

Just a tip for new people or want to check it out, call ahead of time during hours so the owner(s) can open the door (always locked and members receive electronic key) and have you sign the standard forms.
They're also always adding new equipment as time goes, constantly improving.

Great 24 hour keyed access gym. Not your corporate style gym. Specialize in powerlifting and bodybuilding. Gym has an old school feel and family atmosphere.

I switched from my beloved corporate gym to this one, mainly because it's open 24/7 and the staff/members made it feel like a super comfy place to be. The equipment is both new and oldskool, and has everything I need for lifting, along with a treadmill and elliptical for my cardio needs. I love that it's small and local!
