I’ve attended orange theory in several cities that I’ve lived in, and Kirkland has been one of my favorites! The front desk staff is always so welcoming and warm. My favorite coach has been Coach Evan. He definitely makes the classes energetic, engaging, and is really good at navigating the format of the classes. I always feel excited to be there and the workouts are the best. I love that I can pace myself and I’m getting stronger consistently! Happy to have this location so close to my house.

I’ve been doing OTF since 2021. I’ve had such a great experience with OTF along with their excellent staff members and coaches. Earlier this year in 2024, I injured my wrist and elbow and the staff here has worked with me the entire time during my injury. I want to give a special thanks to Deo and AJ, two stellar OTF staff members who have made my transition back into OTF classes, post-injury, a seamless experience.

The manager is so rude ! All they do is just business I do not blame the trainers they are absolutely amazing , but the business practice here so unethical , I wasn’t aware of the 30 day cancellation notice. All they do is sales , they have very good skills of selling their membership but to hide all the pros and cons of submitting your credit card , due to some other reasons I had to move out of the city , attended just four classes and ended up paying 600$ for three months.

I would not recommend anyone to choose this location.

⚠️ Warning: good to know if you want to start here: This is an honest review. I gave this place 5 stars before, but I have had more than 3 terrible experiences here since the arrival of the new manager and guidelines. Be aware of the new manager and the new guidelines here.

I got a free session for my husband over a call, and they instructed us to be there 30 minutes in advance. We arrived 25 minutes early, literally 25 minutes early, but they didn't accept him. They said, "We can't accept you unless you pay $30."
Henry and the other front desk people could not be any less helpful as they could have easily given him a tour and get everything in order by the time the class started but decided to show an extremely poor customer service instead.

Why? Is using treadmills so complicated that it takes 30 minutes to explain? It was a terrible customer experience. Not only did my husband decide not to join, but I also decided to terminate my membership. This place is terrible, and they don't cooperate with new guests.

Moreover, if explaining the process takes 30 minutes and is extremely important , why would they be okay with us paying $30 and joining at the last minute?

Orange Theory needs to be aware of the terrible experiences we've had here.

Orangetheory has changed my relationship with working out and being active. I always was someone who was unsuccessful at the gym and it was never consistent. I have been going to OTF for over a year now and taken over 200 classes. I was worried and intimidated for my first class as I was very out of shape and overweight. Coach Anna was extremely helpful and supportive that I could do the class. The workout was hard but I loved it! I appreciate that the classes are planned and all I have to do is show up. The flexibility to take classes when traveling in another city or even country is amazing. OTF has made me a person who loves fitness and working out now. My only regret is that I didn’t start earlier!

Over the last several years we joined practically all of the big name gyms in an attempt to get active. For one reason or another, it was never the right fit. Candidly, being overweight and out of shape made us hesitant to give OTF a shot, but a year ago we knew a new approach was needed. So, we made the call to the Kirkland studio and scheduled our intro class.

The coach (shout out to Anna!) got us comfortable with each of the stations and pumped us up for the first class. For us, it was intense and challenging… but we loved it and were inspired by the success of the others in the class at various fitness levels. The professionalism of the staff who worked to know our names and the camaraderie between the members made the atmosphere welcoming and a place we wanted to return to. And we felt so accomplished after the workout!

Week after week, and a year later, we continue to feel ourselves get stronger, increase our energy levels, and feel more confident in life. We find ourselves intentionally designing meals to give us the best workouts. We never have to drag ourselves to class because it is the highlight of our day. Our past selves wouldn’t recognize us, but they would be proud of our journey. The OTF staff and coaches have changed our lives and we can’t wait to see where we are next year!

I started my OTF journey earlier this year. If you're looking for a high-energy, results-driven workout, then look no further than the Kirkland Orangetheory Fitness studio. The classes are led by knowledgeable and motivating coaches who push you to your limits and help you achieve your fitness goals. The workout itself is intense and challenging, incorporating elements of cardio and strength training to give you a full-body workout that will leave you feeling exhausted, but also exhilarated. I enjoy the fact that I don't have to plan my workout, especially since I'm still relatively new to various movements. I just show up and participate!

"I had a terrible experience with Orange Theory in Kirkland. When I initially booked a trial class, I was asked for my credit card information and I specifically asked if I would be charged, and the representative on the phone told me that I wouldn't be charged under any circumstances. When I asked why they needed my credit card then if they were not going to charge me, she said that it was only for their records. As you can see I verified twice so there will not be any misunderstanding. However, when I had to cancel the class due to a family emergency, I later found out that the gym had charged me $30 for a no-show. This was not communicated to me at any point during the booking process, and I felt misled by the gym's representative.
When I called to ask for a refund, the supervisor told me that it was their policy to charge for no-shows, but I was never informed of this policy beforehand. Not to mention, I called and gave them a notice that I couldn't make it. When I said that I wasn't informed about their policy, he said, "You were supposed to realize that you were going to be charged, that's why we ask for credit card information." So I end up paying 30$ for a "free" trial class that I never attended. This is ridiculous! And now I feel like a fool. They said they wouldn't issue a refund.

This kind of shady business practice is unacceptable, and I would not recommend Orange Theory Gym to anyone. If you're looking for a gym, go somewhere that values honesty and transparency with its customers."

BEWARE NEW CUSTOMERS. I'm probably repeating some of the reviews already posted but this is an unethical business. My review is for the business, not the instructors. I cancelled my membership in the first month of signing up but they charged me another month because it's in the fine print that I didn't see. Well can you guess what happens after the 'penalty' month? They charge you again. I emailed, no response, called, no response. It's sad that the otherwise cheerful front desk runs this scam operation - keep charging you and hope you don't catch it. Well, as for me, I will proceed with a chargeback, which will cost the business an additional $150, on top of the refund, but I have no options. I'm done with requesting nicely, that they follow the words of their own contract. They can't.

Trainers are great, you can have a good workout, my best experience it was with the trainer Cosmo. However the business admistrators HORRIBLE. Good luck if you ever try to cancel or freeze your membership. Almost impossible to reach out the managers, when you have an issues, they avoid you as much as they can. They will treat you well while you are a member but as soon as you need you speak about cancelations things change.

I liked the variety in the workout and having a trainer there to help correct me if I'm not performing a move correctly. I love coming to OTF Kirkland! Here are my reasons:

1) It has a great mix of running, rowing and weight training with each day focusing on strength, power, endurance or a mix of all three.

2) Coaches Anna, Alaina, Nikki and Cam are motivating, positive and committed to each member’s health. They are also always willing to provide guidance if you ask.

3) Front desk staff members have always been kind, courteous and accommodating especially Augustyna who seems to do it all behind the counter.

4) The community is great! Pushing each other to test our limits, catching up with members between classes, grabbing coffee together after a morning class, going out for HH after an evening class, etc…the members definitely make OTF Kirkland standout. Be willing to say hi to a friendly face and you won’t be disappointed.

5) Results. I’ve been able to drop lbs, inches and body fat and I haven’t felt better both physically and mentally.

Trainers are wonderful.
Management at this location is poor. I decided to freeze my account due to increased covid numbers, and managment took 7 days to respond. Only method to communicate is via email, so you would expect a minimum 24 turnaround. Also, the amount charged for frozen accounts is unreasonably high.

I moved forward with canceling my account, but due to the delayed response of managment I was billed an additional month as you need to provide a 30day notice of cancellation.

Awesome workout, great coaches! You can go at your own pace, and modify exercises if needed. It seems like everyone is working hard, so it really pushes and motivates you to do the same. Everything is clean, and there are lockers to store your valuables while working out. There is always someone out at the front desk, which is great if you have questions, or are just thinking about joining.

8-11-21 So...I still agree with everything I said in my first post. I go about 4-5x/week... and all of the coaches are awesome! They are encouraging, and help motivate everyone, big time!

The studio is clean, the bathrooms are clean. They have lockers available for your belongings (that are clean).

The coaches are top of giving you disinfectant wipes to clean anything you have touched.

The music is almost always on point! It might just depend on what type of music you like. It is loud, but if you have an issue with that, they provide earplugs.

I've enjoyed my time there, and will continue to go for sure!

BE AWARE of this location !!!!! Coaches/Gym ok and enjoyed my time while there.

But bad experience with management policies and principles. My account was put on "freeze" due to COVID in Mar 2020 as per Governor orders. Without any "reopening" communication, OT started charging me monthly fees starting Apr'2021 and I did not use any services. While checking credit card statements, I found this after 2 months. "Auto -pay" :(

Yes, I signed the contract and I did not give 30 day notice but did not get any "reopening" communication so OT can't charge the monthly fee.
After several emails/discussions, OT worked with their IT to get the proof that they sent me email and that communication shows reopening on May 15, 2020 (yes 2020 and they opened in 2021) and cant show that they really sent to me :) yes we are still in old age era

So while you can enjoy your workout, be on lookout for getting charged even if you are not using the gym.

Tyler was a phenomenal coach. I loved the whole experience and will be promoting Orange Theory to everyone I can. OT in Kirkland is such an amazing location, and this was so fun. I am completely out of shape and this really pushed me, but without making me feel like I was killing myself. I immediately purchased the Elite package and heart monitors for both me and my wife, and I believe I will be upgrading to unlimited pretty soon, as I think I will probably blow through my 8 sessions in less than 2-weeks.
I started a transformation journey, quite by accident back in May. I was at my all-time high weight 305lbs. I have tried many things over the years, but have steadily gained 10lbs per year since the year 2000. In May I switched up my eating to Keto, and for the first time, I began shedding pounds. I went from being morbidly obese to obese in a few month's time and found myself able to do things physically that I hadn't been able to do in years. Just from the diet and walking 10K to 20k steps per day, I am now 244lbs. A 61lbs weight loss. I was now ready for serious exercise. Last night when I went to OT Kirkland, and I went hard. I racked up splat points like they were going out of style, and felt more energized walking out of the facility than I have felt in years. I think I might just turn into workout junkie.
I have plans to get my weight down to 170-180 within a year of starting this physical transformation and I think OT, will help me to do this. I tell people I want to be overweight by Christmas, and by May I want to be half-the-man-I-used-to-be. I also am thinking about using OT to help me to train and prepare to run my first marathon, next year at the ripe old age of 44. I really feel like no ambition is too high right now, and I am excited to see how far I can push myself.

Don't bother joining otf if you like to work out in the mornings because classes book out weeks in advance. I like to go at 5am and classes are all full. If you are lucky enough to get in, classes are great but who wants this level of unpredictability? This is a royal hustle. They should restrict signing up in advance to 3 days. But they get additional revenue from late cancellation penalties so they have no incentive to change this behavior in their members. So frustrating and disappointing.
