I gave them two stars because I love Orange Theory but this branch should get zero because of their refusal to make a reasonable accommodation for my disability even though I came into the studio the day before to give them a heads up on my needs and I offered to share documentation to back up my request.

It sucks that they can’t be more welcoming to people with disabilities. And here is a shout out to all of the OT branches that are more gracious AND follow the law:

“Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) (ADA), businesses that are open to the public must provide reasonable accommodations for customers with disabilities to ensure they have an equal opportunity to access the business's goods and services.”

I've been thoroughly impressed with the friendly, thoughtful, and skilled coaches and staff at this OTF. Great sense of community and encouragement. I've tried classes at many studios and this one sets the standard. I also appreciate the little touches like acoustic panels in the studio to make it easier to hear the coaches (and enjoy the music)! My only gripe is wishing this studio had the newer treadmills that go up to 15mph.

I started doing Orange Theory about a year ago. I was looking for a community of like minded people who shared my values for fitness. I have tried many fitness programs but I have not found anything as supportive and customized as orange theory. The workouts are heart rate based so if you are just getting started in your fitness journey or you have been pumping iron for a long time, you can work to your fitness level. I love how data driven the workouts are, and how you can measure your progress as you improve. I travel a lot for work so I have visited many studios but none are quite like Redmond Town center location. They go above and beyond to build community. This past weekend I participated in their dry tri event and the coaches went all out decorating the studio to match the theme (Mario Kart) it made getting up to workout on a Sunday just that much better. One of the coaches even made the most beautiful cookies. Highly recommend OT and the Redmond studio.

I've been going to this 🍊 for the past 1.5 years and it is frickin' fantastic! I understand this format and type of workout isn't for everyone, but it definitely checks all my boxes.

The coaching staff is friendly and welcoming, with great feedback on form and techniques.

The atmosphere is fun and energetic.

The other members create a sense of community that embraces everyone.

The front desk has been very helpful and is quick to tackle all my dumb questions.

Love the coaches, love the workouts. It's great to show up and have someone just tell you what you're doing that day instead of planning it out yourself. I'm see progress slowly but surely.

Front desk is super friendly too and works hard to remember who you are and what stations you prefer.

I just completed my 50th OT class and have been loving it! I genuinely look forward to going to class. The front office staff is super friendly, helpful, and supportive. The coaches are amazing — highly motivated, energetic in every class, and they give clear instructions during the workouts. The community is really warm and welcoming. I recently participated in the Dri-Tri event, which was very well organized and had lots of food, drinks, and OTF merchandise for the participants. I 100% recommend it!

I can’t recommend Orangetheory Fitness to anyone, especially if you’re planning to travel or have a flexible schedule. Their payment policies are ridiculous and not at all customer-friendly. They’ll lock you into a membership and use you as a cash cow, even if you're not going regularly. If you need to pause or cancel for any reason, good luck – it's a total hassle.

And don’t even get me started on the physical space – during my last visit, I had water literally dripping from the ceiling. I don’t know how that’s acceptable in any fitness facility.

Also, here’s something shady: They ask you to leave 5-star reviews as part of some "challenge" they’ve got going on. That's why they have a good rating—it's all orchestrated. It's not genuine feedback; they manipulate people into boosting their image. So, if you're looking for a legit, honest fitness experience, steer clear of Orangetheory.

Save your time and money. I am downgrading this previous review to 1 but they deserve 0.

Special message to people on work visas- You might have some delays in visa applications and can be stuck in your own country for a longer duration- these people will start unusual policies and charge you so good luck.

I couldn’t click on POST without leaving a star, so I had no choice but to select 1. The customer service and accountability at this gym are beyond poor—it honestly couldn’t get worse. Despite providing all the necessary documentation for the extra month they charged me, there has never been any clear communication about their policy. They seem to just throw random rules at you to justify taking your money. I was only 1.5 days late submitting my medical note, and by the way, I had informed them in advance that the delay was due to my doctor being out of town, yet they still declined my refund. On top of that, they haven’t even provided a proper contact name or number to discuss this further. The team at this location is extremely unprofessional, and I’m deeply disappointed with my decision to join this OTF facility. No complaints about the instructor/s, but the front desk staff and those manages financial accounts are extremely unprofessional and uninformed in their approach.
I would absolutely, without a doubt, say a massive, resounding NO NO to join this facility and OTF team. Unfortunately it’s their model, that’s how they make money!

I booked my class with the 12 credits I purchased before and when I showed up they asked for a credit card. First of all, the app and the email confirmation didn’t mentioned anything about bringing a credit card. Who takes their wallet with them to a gym that may not have a secure locker. Also why do I have to give you my credit card for the class I’ve ALREADY PAID FOR. The staffs were obnoxious and didn’t bother to tell me that I don’t need to be there and they’ve already refunded the credit.
I’d rather run on the Sammamish river trail than go to this studio but unfortunately I have some credits that I need to use.

I have been coming here since 2019 and enjoyed it, but I have to knock some stars for this new owner.

Before, the studio was so busy and so packed I had to book my appointments two weeks in advance. Now, the classes are never even half full.

The new class times make the membership borderline unusable. I. For example, start work from home at 0830 or drive to the office at 0715. My options for an AM class are 0615-0715, or 0730-0830.

Then, there's no classes again until lunch, which don't even conform to a working person's lunch hour so that we could go during the day.

Next classes start at 4pm, which might work for some people, then 5:15pm, which gives just barely enough time to get there after ending work at 5pm, as most do, hoping and praying there's no traffic or my team doesn't keep me late. 6:30-7:30PM is okay, but means my whole evening is dedicated to otf and by the time I shower and eat dinner, theres no time to take care of my other responsibilities, and this is the last class of the day until 5am, which isn't happening.

On the weekends, there are only three classes 0800 and 0915 which are kind of early when you might want to sleep in, but not impossible, and then 1030-11 which, again means your whole morning is OTF.

Before, classes started at 0500 in the morning and had only 5 minutes between. That meant if we wanted to go before work, we all had good options to go because we could go 0500-0600, 0605-0705, 0710-0810. The people who didn't work or worked late could go 0815-0915, or we could go at lunch really fast 1100-12pm, 12:05pm-1:05pm.

Same thing with evening classes. I don't remember the schedule there as well because I didn't have to focus as much on the end time, but I think it would be easier for everyone if the classes were maybe 5:30pm-06:30pm, 6:35pm-7:35pm, 7:40-8:40pm.

Weekends just need more classes in general. It's crazy I have to choose between waking up early/ skipping my other morning activities or not going at all.

I guess the idea is that if we miss a class we can drive to another studio, but the owners are not from Washington and don't realize there's no way in he'll most of us are going to rush over to Bellevue or Bothell to make a class. It's just not a thing with the way our traffic works.

I want to drop the rating to 3.5 stars, because it's also almost twice as expensive as it was when I originally signed up, making these inconveniences more frustrating. That said, the staff and trainers are awesome as always. Please, to the owners, make this studio usable. There are way too many residences within a walkable distance to see Redmond this empty.

Beware. They take your credit card details even for a free class. That itself should have been a red flag and then they charge you for the free class without being transparent on their policies around rescheduling etc. The front desk or admin staff are not transparent and very ineffective and blamed it on new comers and lack of training. just appalling. SHADY way of operating a business. Stay away.

Great place for workout. I don't like the policy of not able to reschedule if I am not able to come because of sickness. They don't allow cancellation if the class is with-in 8 hours. So, I am not inclined to schedule my classes until one hour before the class, when I know for sure that I can attend. Hope they can change this policy, so it encourages people like me to schedule classes in advance.

Been a member for nearly a year now and I've got to say, I'm a big OTF fan.

Originally, I was a massive skeptic, but thought I'd give them a try as I shopped around for gyms and I ended up immediately hooked. I upgraded my membership in January to have unlimited classes and I don't anticipate going back. It's been a real and phenomenal change in my life to be doing OTF, and even at their hefty price point, I still strongly believe they're worth it.

Specific to the Redmond studio, I genuinely love everyone there. Staff is amazingly friendly, Kathy the manager is genuine, and the coaches are phenomenal (genuine shoutout to all of them, but especially Erin!)

Can't recommend OTF Redmond enough.

Staffs working in OTF Redmond cannot be trusted. In December 2022 I asked a staff(Dont remember the name) she said I just need to tell them a week before. I double checked with her about the 30 days notice policy, she said its fine. Later when I want to cancel at the end of January 2023 they are saying I could have told 30 days before. Or I need to pay for February and March onwards membership will be canceled. So I signed the cancelation documents on January(I have proof). But they dint cancel the class. They deducted the fees in March as well. Luckily I found this from credit card statement. So I called them, "Kathy Tsai" manager asked me to sign the cancellation document again. I dont know how they missed the signed document. So the staffs cannot be trusted here, also please keep an eye on billing even if you cancel.

I also read a lot of similar reviews which inlines with my experience.

Getting membership with orange theory was one of the worst decisions of my life.
I read the contract, it said I had to notify them 30 days in advance to cancel the membership. I decided to go beyond that and notify them 2 months in advance, just in case. To cancel membership, studio must send you cancellation form to sign. Only after signing, they stop charging the credit card.
The first time at the beginning of November 2022 I went in person to the studio and asked front desk to send me membership cancellation agreement, and they didn’t. Since then I kept asking them again and again every time I went to classes to send me the form. I left 10 follow up emails, called multiple times and asked front desk so many times in person to send me the agreement.
Front desk people gave me so many reasons why I still don’t have my cancellation agreement: “Oh, we forgot, let me take care of this now., “We will send you agreement within 15 minutes”, “Email our studio manager and they will help you”, “it’s holiday season, studio manager is out of town, she will be back tomorrow and reply to your emails”.
I started consulting with legal team provided by my employer to see if what they are doing is legal. And then, I was blessed that the moment I called the studio on January 5th, studio manager was in the studio, so I was directly connected. And….. studio manager heard about my story for the first time…. So none of my emails were read and not even a single person at front desk mentioned my name to studio manager….

I first requested cancellation document beginning of November, I received the document January 5th.

This studio has fantastic staff and coaches, and the members are awesome. However, this building is the worst studio in the area. There is absolutely no sound deadening material on the ceiling, so there is a horrible echo for the music and the coaches voice and it makes it hard to hear, and extra loud. This studio also suffers from a moisture management issue, it’s humid and very hot. Lockers are the older style that do not have codes, and the water from the fountain is not chilled. I will continue to come back though for this studios awesome schedule with the Saturday 90 minutes. This studio could be really great if they just add some sound absorbing foam to the hard ceiling to reduce the echo.

Coaches are great and I have had great experience in the 6 months I had been a member. However this morning I had the worst experience and I have to knock out stars. I came in at 10:05 at the facility for my 10 am class and I was told right away I couldn't join the class as they could only allow 5 minutes late and she showed the the clock on the big screen was showing 10 seconds past 10:05. The class only had 6-7 people this morning so it's only 30% occupied at best. Why would someone fuss on 10 seconds? Arguably I walked in the front door at 10:05!!!

I tried to reason with the staff when she told me I should go to another class later that I have 3 young children and the only time slot I could make is AM and only on the 2 days the 10am class is being offered. I also told her I was trying hard to make it to class even though I had an extra errand to do this morning, hence why I was 5 minutes late. She did not budge and only said "sorry" with no empathy whatsoever. The other girl was also just staring blankly.

This experience is completely unacceptable. I've only used 3 of the 8 classes I can sign up for the month and even if I was able to join today's class I would still have 4 classes unused. I feel completely ripped off and I find the staff to be completely disrespectful. I hate to say this as I've loved the trainers at this location, but these ladies who happened to be at the front desk this morning had no sense of empathy or customer service at all. Also FYI, they require 30 day notice for auto-renewal cancellation, so after you notify the staff you intend to cancel you would still have to renew for another month before getting discontinued.

Love orangetheory. All the studios are maintained and managed different. I like this particular studio. It’s clean and well maintained. The instructor was great as well.
The only feedback I have here is that, compared to the studios I used to visit in Florida, the studios here don’t have some toiletries in the shower/washroom(for example, lotion, dry shampoo, etc).
Also I have definitely experienced in some studios that the coaches encourage you constantly and they help you with your posture regularly. I don’t see this in Washington state studios.
I would recommend this studio!!

Revising my review as I previously left a 5-star review. I had to pause my membership. After 30 days, I was charged for another month of membership with no warning. I paused my membership because of health issues that got worse during the pause. I contacted the studio about this, assuming it was a mistake. I was treated with 0 empathy. They claim they notified me that my pause was ending (they didn't) and refused to work with me to refund the charge (or even part of it). From there, it was very difficult to cancel my membership. They told me I would be charged for another billing period (i.e., paying an extra 2 months total) in order to cancel. Luckily, I moved >25 miles away so I was able to avoid an extra month's charge but I had to ask for this several times even though it's a clause in the membership agreement. If you intend to stick with the studio forever without encountering any health issues, this is a great place to workout. However, if you expect to be treated with respect and have any flexibility in your membership, do not join here.

OTF Redmond Pricing: $189/month

If you want limited access to the gym you can get a few options:

$129/month for 8 classes or $89/month for 4 classes

You need a tracker to participate properly. It’s $79 for one that goes around your body/chest. $189 ($119 sale) for the arm band one.

Giving 3 Stars for nice staff and non-transparent pricing. Even over the phone (with the redmond location, not hq) they won’t give pricing, probably so you can’t compare to other OTF locations.

If you found this review helpful, please give it a thumbs up so it floats to the top for others.

Orangetheory’s approach gives everyone in the studio an ability to customize the workout to produce optimal results for their own body and fitness level. It’s also an awesome use of technology to measure output and results in a way that encourages participants to do what’s right for their own body, vs. dig themselves into an anaerobic hole they can’t recover from. It’s a novel and unique fitness experience, and I’m genuinely enjoying it.

Just one hour. Low impact. Gets a good full body workout and focus on core with light-med weights mixed in. Lots of running and rowing but never for long nor same pace boring.

For anyone totally intimidated at the thought of working out in a group setting/getting back into the groove of working out/just starting to work out or someone who just needs a killer workout, I can not recommend Orangetheory more. This is an entire community of support, encouragement and kickass people. Try a class, I promise you won’t regret it.

I love the facilities, the coaches are amazing and desk staff are always friendly and helpful. I love OTF! You don't have to think about what you need to work on and the workouts are way more intense then I could ever put together. Love it here!

I was referred to OTF Redmond by a friend and am glad I followed the recommendation. After my trial workout, I immediately signed up. I was looking for a more disciplined form of workout with all the exercises planned and timed. I do not have to plan my regime as Robin has everything chalked out. I go for Robin's workouts and I really like her style. She is always there to help me clarify my doubts and highly motivating. With all the core exercises, she will demonstrate all exercises with the modified options as well.
Their monitor band is good and I like to see the run-time performance on the screen while exercising, as it helps me figure out when and how much to push myself.
After 4 workouts itself, I can see and feel the difference in my body. It feels more toned and I feel more energetic too! The front staff and manager are all very friendly, and helpful. Always ensure to resolve the problem, if there is any. Kudos to the staff!
If you are looking for a gym, then I would highly recommend visiting them once and try them before committing elsewhere.

It’s a great all around workout. The coaches are fantastic, fun and encouraging! Everyone works at their own pace so all levels of athletes and you don’t feel intimidated. Booking the classes in advance and getting charged if you don’t show up keeps you accountable for keeping up with your workout routine. I’ve been trying for years to find something that keeps me motivated and I’ve found it with OTF!!!!!

Been here for just over a month and have loved it so far. I’ve taken mainly Jill’s classes and she’s one of the best instructors I’ve had for any group fitness class.

It does take a second to get the hang of booking classes and the class structure, but everyone’s been super helpful if I’ve run into problems.

My husband and I were members for almost 9 months. Overall we really like the OTF workout. The coaches (especially Jill) are really positive and encouraging. Our issue is with the OTF business model, which is really high pressure on members and requires 30 day cancelations. With all of the swag and bright orange around and the difficulty required to cancel... it honestly feels... cult-y? They even try to guilt you into posting about your workout on Facebook *after every class.* If you post online they'll donate something (we don't know what) to XYZ charity. That's great but why not... just give to charity instead of guilting your customers (who pay $159/mo) into doing your marketing for you? One week during the transformation challenge, the weekly "challenge" was to see which team could post the most on Facebook.

If you give them your phone number online for example, they will not stop calling you until you answer. It's a high-pressure sales experience that rubs me the wrong way. After almost 9 months of going 2-4x/week, the front desk staff never greeted us by name. We never really felt a part of the "community" they claim that they have. I prefer customer-centered gyms over profit-centered ones. Now we're at a great $65/mo gym that lets us cancel 3 days before our bill date. We have no intent of canceling but it's just more comforting to give my money to them that focuses more on improving my health over their own profits.

The workouts planned for the session are always unknown which excites me to look forward to attending it. Had it been same every session, it would be very boring for me. I like it that I have the freedom to make the workouts more or less challenging for me based on my needs. Most importantly, even though I wanted to do workouts on my own I felt the need for supervision sometimes which now I can get in theses sessions with the freedom to improvise.

I've finally found that balance in a gym..challenging but not intimidating, 1-hour workout but I can see the results, motivates me both in the gym and to make healthy decisions all day. Let's be honest, sometimes I dread the workouts but I know I'll feel better afterwards and have more energy--I'm hooked and I keep coming back for more!

It is different everyday. The coaches are awesome positive people that are willing and able to help throughout class. The class is only an hour long, I can do anything for an hour.

It was challenging, yet motivating, and it went by so fast! Being on the treadmill was painful and seemed like forever (cardio is not my thing), but then it was time to switch to the weight room (I love weights). It was great! I can't wait to go back!

First real workout in YEARS and I loved it! Erica was amazing and helped me with modifications and lighter weights when I was floundering! Not very happy with the communication between the awesome staff and the manager. Was told of a guaranteed first five class placement. Called to get placement and was told that The guarantee did not exist. When I pressed, was told that they do not offer it anymore... blame was passed to staff for giving wrong information. In my experience, good managers do not name staff and pass blame.

Read the contract before you sign them! A great place to work out. Very friendly employees. Would absolutely love their workouts.

But devils are in the details. They tell you that they have no contract. I had to suddenly leave the country and couldn't give them a 30 day notice. They were there to rip off. They said even if i couldn't make it to the studio, they would still charge $179. Man, where is the customer service? If i don't use your service, why would you make me pay? I just think it's not fair. When i wanted to enquire about this weird policy, the manager Soniya literally snapped at me. she YELLED! I ended paying $179 and not using the facility. Some businesses just prove their hunger for money.

Btwn, each orange theory has different terms and conditions. The one in NC says that if you move more than 8 miles, your contract can be cancelled without prior notice.

The Redmond Orange theory is the worst location I've been to. It's close to home and convenient but I can't go here often because they use way too much airfreshener!! I get a headache the second I walk in. And the bathrooms are even worse. This is the dumbest thing when you're working out. If I have to use the bathroom during the workout I can hardly breathe in there. It's also super hard to understand what any of the trainers here say during the workout!
