Peak Performance is a private personal training studio in West Seattle. Group classes, one on one sessions and partner training options are available. The studio is equipped with a wide variety of functional training equipment and weights.
Mario Lagasca has nearly 15 years experience helping individuals change their lives, one rep at a time. He encourages you to put in the work, train your weaknesses and achieve your fitness goals.

Mario is the best! I’ve been working out with him for over a year and look forward to my sessions with him every time. He knows what he’s doing and his experience as a personal trainer is evident. He strikes the perfect balance of pushing me to keep going without being too much. And I’ve enjoyed chatting with him and getting to know him as a friend. I’ve never worked out this consistently in my life until I started training with Mario. Now I have more endurance and stamina for my other hobbies (mountain biking, snowboarding, cross country skiing), and I also feel better about my body and have increased self confidence.

I started going to Mario for 1 - 1 personal training about 2 years ago after under going hip surgery. He tailored the workouts to accommodate my limitations and helped strengthen my weaknesses associated with the surgery.
He keeps things interesting as no 2 workouts have been the same. He ensures proper form in every exercise performed, pushes me to expand my limits, and as necessary modify the workouts to accommodate any ailments I maybe experiencing that day.
No regrets, just improved fitness.

I've never been much of a gym person since I tend to gravitate towards other forms of exercise that include hiking and yoga, but it has been harder to find time for these things now that I have a new baby and working with Mario at Peak Performance has helped me approach fitness from a new angle that I've found enjoyable. I appreciate that each session is never the same and that it's tailored to my ability with just enough challenge sprinkled into the mix. Mario Is amazing. He really tailors the workouts to your level, while pushing you just enough. You can tell he's passionate about fitness and his clients. I’ve known Mario for at least 10 years. I first met him at 24hr fitness and hired him as a personal trainer where he helped me reach my goals with diet and exercise. When I needed another boost with training and diet of course I contacted Mario. He knows just how hard to push me and always encourages me to do my best. Mario has a true gift for fitness and fitness education that he happily and enthusiastically shares with his clients.

I have been training with Mario for over 10 years. I have participated in both individual personal training sessions and group bootcamps. No matter which format, Mario customizes the training sessions to meet my personal fitness needs. He not only keeps me accountable; he truly motivates me to work harder and be better.

I used to watch other personal trainers with their clients when I was at the gym. Most of them looked and/or were disengaged. They appeared to be going through the motions rather than engaging with their clients.

One of the things I love about Mario is his extremely high level of encouragement and enthusiasm while working with his clients. He truly cares about his clients and our overall fitness health. When I am struggling, he encourages me to keep moving. He also will give me advice on eating, water consumption, stretching, posture, how to avoid headaches or anything else I ask him about fitness wise.

He has the best work ethic and is always upbeat. As I said at the beginning of this review....Mario has a true gift for fitness instruction....he definitely found his passion....and will help you find yours!

When looking for a trainer, I needed someone vested in long term results as short term results usually left me with an injury or under performing. Through Peak Performance I found a trainer in Mario who was able to prioritize the long term with short term (AKA challenging) workouts.

Mario always asks how I feel after the last workout and closely monitored form during workouts to assure I was on the right path. While working out with Mario for the last 4 years, my strength, flexibility and overall functional fitness have improved to the point I improved in all areas of the above....basically i am stronger, more flexible and in better fitness that a 4 year younger version of my 55 year old self.

PLUS he always is on top of the weather, latest movies coming out and sports so he is my news source as well ;)

During COVID-19 I wasn't able to workout in group classes anymore and was sitting in front of a computer all day - I needed a jump start physically and emotionally. Mario has delivered! I do two training sessions with him a week via zoom and its always a great workout, pushing me just enough to constantly improve without injury. Even one day a week makes a difference! I've attended Mario's Boot Camp class once a week for about almost two years now. I appreciate the variety of exercises and how thoughtfully he develops the program. He's very knowledgeable, stresses form, and creates a fun environment. He encourages all participants to challenge themselves, but also welcomes modifications as necessary without judgment. After years of leg pain my doctor recommended some physical therapy. I started going to Mario and I can say after about 5 weeks I feel 80% better.

Mario has been my trainer and boot-camp leader since 2012 . In all those years, not once have I been bored nor injured. His focus is on functional fitness which helps me in my everyday life, from running up the stairs to carrying groceries from the car, I would not be as healthy nor as in shape if it wasn't for him. I've been with Mario for quite a few years now and of all the trainers I've had he's been the best at making sure the exercises are right for my body. He is so attentive to how I'm doing the exercise and is diligent about form and doing it correctly. He pushes where I need to be pushed but is very aware of where it doesn't make sense to do so. My body is stronger, more capable of doing the things I want it to do, and aches I used to have (like lower back) no longer plague me. He's a gem as well as so kind and funny.

I have been going to Mario for a couple of years now. Previously I had focused on cardio (running) and weight training for my exercise program so I was in decent shape. Focusing more on core exercise has made me much stronger all around. Mario is a good listener, focusing and directing me on exercises to help me meet my fitness goals. He keeps it interesting by varying the workouts with a variety of activities and exercises. Exercise should not be boring. I feel pushed to do my best but never overwhelmed, and I know I stretch much further than I would do on my own if not for Mario's constant encouragement. My personal training sessions are great but I also enjoy his Boot Camp group classes (Zoom online for the foreseeable future) to give me more activity during the week. Plus it is a super fun group of people to exercise with on a regular basis. I feel like I am in the best shape of my life.
