I actually really like this location. It’s sometimes busy but never too busy. The staff are always super polite. Machines are nice. I dig the hydro massage beds. Wish the goofy broccoli headed teens would spend less time sitting at the machines texting or posing in the locker room mirror (but that’s not the gyms fault really). Excited to see how it is after the remodel. I’ll always be appreciative of my membership here because when we had a household water leak issue I had to come down and use the gyms showers for a few days.

This is the worst gym I've encountered in all of America. It's not the equipment that's the worst, but the staff's attitude toward customers. The staff who worked before lunch and those who came after lunch were very friendly. They presented some strange rules and were quite rude.

This place is awesome :-) many satisfied customers the hours of operation are great, lots of equipment to use and most people are friendly. Staff members are professional and helpful. I like the place. The people that I know of that are members seem to be satisfied, enjoy their time working out and available equipment!

Honestly, who can beat their membership deal? I have never had a bad experience here. They are open 24 hours a day, with message beds and chairs. Looking to get your fake bake on? They've got you covered. There is usually plenty of equipment, and they have a crowd meter so that you can avoid the busy hours. What more do you want? Get in there and get healthy!

Worst customer service! I signed up for tanning had to wait then 2 people who just came in to also tan went ahead of me I asked the front desk and they said don’t know why then they said something went wrong with there computer. They could’ve stop the 2 persons ahead and tell them to wait because I was was here first. Not even an apology from the 2 front desk women. Will never be back to this place.

I have my gf in on a guest pass and we are traveling and I got done with my shower first. I wanted to wait in the car and chill and they forced me to stay inside like a prisoner.

The stretching zone could uave its lights taken down about 40 to 50%. I'm trying to stretch calmly, not have lasik surgery.
Also, once I found out the other planet fitness locations close at 10 pm on weekends really brings the 7 pm close time here to light. Open later on weekends.

I like the layout a lot, a good amount of space. Bathrooms are usually the cleanest I've seen out of the chain. Lots of cardio options. A good amount of benches, and free weight room. Only gripe I have is the lack of ceiling fans. It feels like working out in a swamp at times compared to other locations with good air flow.

It is a decent sized gym. I have been to a few different Planet Fitness gyms, and while this is not my favorite, it is not my least favorite either. The showers here lack water pressure at times and are often left dirty (no one seems to tend to them midday). And they have a new policy for their massage chairs and beds...instead of using the spray cleaner to disinfect, you now have to use these tiny purell wipes to sanitize them. It took 7 wipes just to somewhat clean my air bed (which was extremely time consuming too so I lost 1-2 minutes of relaxation time because the machine started early). And even after that, it smelled like sour sweat when I laid down on it. So I ended up cancelling my other bookings for the lounge and massage chair, because it felt too dirty and I had just showered. Just wait until they get their first lawsuit for a staph infection from those things being unhygienic. 😉 That might change some minds about how best to proceed. But until then, I will probably downgrade my membership and avoid them all together, or bring my own much larger Clorox wipes. Staff are usually nice, and there are plenty of machines though. So that bumped a 2 star review up to 3.

Customer service is terrible! Rude, flippant and dismissive. I’m visiting from Ga so didn’t know I needed to have eye coverings, so after they were very rude I left to go back home to get my wallet to buy some. They don’t accept cash.
They could have given me the stickers and let me know next time I need to have eye coverings or a card to buy them.
Would have changed the whole experience rather than have them make it as hard as possible WHILE BEING RUDE!!
Makes me not want to use my membership there.
Especially coming from such a more professional location.
I’ve also contacted corporate.
The experience could have been made easier for me as a visiting patron.

Daytime staff was extremely rude to my friend. Came in today to workout together and she wanted to use the free summertime pass for students as we’re students. One of the daytime staff yelled at us to check in before we sat down at a table (even though I had did this before checking in and was not yelled at) so I checked in because I already have a subscription and my friend asked how to use the free subscription and the lady said she HAD to do it with a parent and there was no other way. We sat back at the table so she can figure it out and the same lady yelled at her that she needed a parent to sign up. So we left the gym and she figured it outside, all she needed was the app and she was already logged in. So we go back inside and the lady yells at her that she didn’t do it with a parent and that she did it herself. She said she didn’t do that and that she just downloaded the app (which is the truth). The lady was very snappy after that. She scanned her QR code and then demanded her student id as if it was a “gotcha” and she had excepted her to not have brung it. Well she did and then she got her Picture taken. No manners at all from this lady. The same lady kept repeating that she can take away her free subscription at any point. How extremely disrespectful these employees were, and to a new member is very unprofessional. This gives planet fitness a bad look to newcomers who are just trying to workout. Talk about “judgement free” zone… And to a minor too?? I felt bad for my friend.

This was the most disrespectful staff I’ve ever encountered. They had no manners whatsoever. The older woman at the front desk had a terrible attitude toward me on my very first visit. At her age, you’d expect some basic courtesy, but she showed none. It’s honestly embarrassing how the staff treats newcomers on their first day. "Strict Cancellation Policy" which no one can wave. Even the corporate number brings you back to your home gym. It's remarkable how anyone where else these situations are assessed individually, but with greedy corporations.

I visited the gym 3x and cancelled due to work schedule. Because I was 24hrs from the cancellation cut off (which wasn't told to me until I issued a complaint), I was charged another months membership.

Here's a recommendation: speak to your customers. Take these cases into consideration. The customer is forced to give a reason upon cancelling in person- but why if these reasons aren't being considered? Just a strange few months in my work schedule but I would have returned a happy customer. Instead, I'm leaving a poor review and will never recommend planet fitness to any friend or family. Be transparent from the beginning instead of telling me AFTER another payment comes out that "this is per contract, sorry".

One of the best Planet Fitness locations we've encountered during our travels! The staff greeted us energetically at check-in, and the equipment was both well-maintained and spotless. The showers were a standout feature—clean, with hot water and fantastic water pressure. Your daytime front end staff especially (WENDY) does not understand what customer service is AT ALL.
have never had someone talk to me with so much disrespect and then act like it was ok. As the face of the gym, CUSTOMER SERVICE is a MUST!!! If you hate your job and don't want to help anyone or only help when you're in a good mood;get a different job. What just happened is completely unnecessary. It is not the first time you have treated myself and aunt poorly over a simple question. I hope whatever is going on in your life gets better so you don't treat even visiting guests so poorly.

Been going to this location for over 2 years. Great machine variety and had no issues with any other member or employee. Started getting harassed by a newer employee the last couple months and I don't believe I was alone in this. Got my coat snatched from me, thrown out and banned for having my bag on the floor and supposedly being mean after I picked up said bag. Police were called and everything. Didn't have a chance to appeal or explain. Very disappointing.

Reasons not to join this gym even though the price is low:

- Rude and very aggressive staff: they do not know how to discuss civilized. If you do something wrong expect a staff member to yell at you and if you dare to talk back you will be threatened with police or cancellation. I left my hoodie on the bench or the floor for a couple of times(a habit, not because I wanted to break any rules)and got flagged for this and treated like I was doing a felony. I understood the rules and complied without being impolite with the staff...
- No manager to be found on the spot and no direct e-mail. You just have to call the gym until you find her or until she calls you back
- Bad customer service: My brother in law joined the gym for the first time in his life and I was explaining him what to do so he does not get injured. Again, a staff member came very aggressive saying I cannot train people and if I continue I will be kicked out. I tried to explain we are family and I only show him but they did not even want to listen( I was very frustrated at this point but again I was polite and choose to comply instead of fighting).If someone joins a gym and they get injured on the machines because nobody shows them how to use them who is responsible?
- Risk of getting injured - today I was doing squats when suddenly a staff member came over and start yelling at me because I broke the rules. In that moment you can get a very bad injury because you can lose your focus and you can twist your arm, or leg or even your back. The reason was that I took my shoes off when I did my set and I was not allowed(again habit, I did not even know I am not allowed, I never had issues in other gyms in US or Europe), but after every set I had my shoes back on, never walked without in the gym. In this case, the staff member decided it is so important that she had to yell at me and force me to stop my set to put my shoes on. She could not wait 5-10 more seconds for me to finish and inform me in a proper way about the rules.

Overall, this was my experience with planet fitness and how I got kicked out. This could be a great place to have a decent training but with the staff they have it's not worth it, better to pay more money and have peace.

I do not recommend this place for people who want to have a decent training, it's more of a place for people who use the treadmills or the bikes.

Was unable to use this facility due to the request for photo identification that I did not possess at the time.

The member services agreement clearly outlines that a photo is necessary at your primary club, and check in is required at other locations, but reciprocal access is provided nationwide. This requirement goes against the contract PF provides.

I have family members that have never held a photo ID, does that mean they cannot use a gym membership?

Either the member service agreement needs to change, Planet Fitness needs to improve their data infrastructure between locations, or this location needs to change their actions.

EDIT: When the employees and manager are the people of issue and creators of the policy, the recommendation to contact the club is useless. As is traditional, Planet Fitness corporate support is non-existent.

It's a good place and whatnot but was a little disappointed when my husband wanted to use the tanning room and it was his first time and he tried asking for advice as to how long and whatnot and all they did was have hime tell them how long he wanted to be in there for well not know he just threw out a number 9 minutes. They didn't react or warn him or anything, he came out all super burned and could barely move it took him three days to be able to function like a normal person. Also when he came out they said it looks like 9 min was too long for you while laughing and he then asked how long do people usually go in for, for their first time (2nd time asking) they responded while still laughing about 2 to 3 minutes to get the base tone and then after that at most 4 maybe 6 but never really higher than that. So upset with the staff about that whomever was working that day. I also don't like that you have to go through hoops to know how to cancel the membership.

I just left because I was asked for ID. I was asked because I don't have a photo. I commented since 2018, this was the first I'd ever been asked that. I was told, "At Kelso, we always ask." I didn't bring mine in and wasn't going in and out, back in. The response wasn't unkind just didn't care, flippant with a shrug. When I walked out, a 'wait a second' moment. I opened my app and low and behold, I see a smiling me. PF app is the only app I have a profile photo uploaded on my account. I'll end with, I visit PF locations around the country, mid-Atlantic to west, northwest to southwest, regularly, including all 4 locations in AK. My home location in Central US. I've got dozens to compare. Whatever that was about, it shouldn't have. I'm just passing through, stopping in Vancouver. I'll go there, almost did. . . should have.

I think it takes about six planet fitnesses before they kick you out for something. Kelso was the first one on this tour. I'm a touring drummer and fitness advocate. Actually I will say that a lot of the planet fitnesses surprised me, being that I am more of a powerlifter and wanted the opportunity to lift some weights on the road. We had a joke, how many planet fitnesses until one of us is singled out. Today's the day and it's here in Kelso Washington. We made it all the way from North Carolina across the US and a planet fitness in each state. I simply put on about 340 lbs on the bench, I was surprised they even had that much freeweights. This is not that much in the grand scheme of lifting. The woman singled me out, came over to oil my machine, then called out my shoe wear (which almost every planet fitness was pretty okay with). There was no pleasant dialogue, not even a nice greet when I came in the door. Just an awkward stare and then in front of everyone (which is embarrassing and not very inclusive as there motto suggest) told me to leave the weight... as everyone stopped to watch have to leave. It was embarrassing, not very friendly, and I think I was targeted because I was the powerlifter guy. So... It takes about 6 or 7 planet fitnesses before they kick you out for something random.

I am happy that she got to enforce something giving her a sense of power, for no other reason but power. My bud just walked out right now, they were rude to him as well. I will say so far Montana all the way back to North Carolina has been great. We were singled out and this place is rude.

My niece and I joined in January but today was our first day that we were able to go. My niece was informed that she's not a member because of the account that she was using for her payments. Even though they have been taking money out of her account every month and sending her numerous emails. Multiple issues and incorrect information enrolling. Employee Ericka absolutely humiliated my wife and I in front of multiple customers, told my wife to stop talking, called me a liar, and when I confronted her on it, she started crying and ran off because "she doesn't like confrontation". I have never felt so judged and bullied before and I can't get anyone to call me back from the corporate office. Her manager, Kara called me this morning and I could tell by the tone of her voice that she had already sided with Ericka before even hearing me out. My membership was canceled after only 24 hrs of joining. Excellent clean club, but it seems so be manged by people who feel it's okay to bully and demean others and if you question it, you get canceled. Really sad and very disappointed. No customer should be humiliated and treated that way.

A lot of my friends go to this gym so I thought might as well go and see what it’s all about. I’ve been to many gyms across the states and this was by far the worst most rude encounter I’ve ever had at a gym with the employees. I didn’t mind paying the $20 Day fee, but then got told to change my shoes which is fine I understand and my friend told me she has shoes in her bag and then while signing up I paid and everything and my friend couldn’t find the shoes in her bag and the employee proceeds to call me a liar, which for one I am not so that made me pretty upset And I just said never mind I’d rather not work out here. I was very nice even though every employee has attitude. Don’t recommend this location.

I would give it 0 stars if I could. I was actually warned not to go here from 2 people. I was charged late fees because there's an issue on planet fitness' end. My routing and account number were right, they had no issue charging my card. I was charged late fees because the system is horrid.

I was literally warned about this exact thing and it happened to me. Not to mention they charge an annual fee 2 months after you sign up. And it's not a monthly subscription based on when you sign up! They charge on the 17th. For everyone. If you signed up before the 17th, you're paying a monthly fee for half a month.

No comments on the staff or equipment. Just a horrible customer experience. I think corporate needs to look into the planet fitness membership system.

Clean place and friendly staff. Both drink stations not fuctioning. Signs saying no personal training yet their trainer is not available. No super sets. Previous reviews say it's new but these smith machines are poorly maintained. Signs everywhere saying do this, don't do that. It's like a kindergarten classroom. My last straw is they still have covid19 signage asking people to keep an empty machine in netween them. It's clear the owner is a woke liberal and just trying to squeeze pennies on this place. Friendly staff but worst atmosphere of a PF I've been in 8 diff states.

A few weeks ago I went there to look the place over and consider a membership. They required a sign in and wanted to accompany me, which was fine, I suppose, then also wanted to know my birthdate. It just struck me wrong. No thanks.

Follow up: received a bot-like response asking me to reach out to the management at this Planet Fitness. It didn't provide any names or contact information. Up to me to research I guess. How convenient.

This planet fitness is a newer location and has a lot of nice amenities. This can’t be discounted. Unfortunately I frequented this at night and was harassed twice by the mall security. First because I parked too far out and they assumed I was camping. Then I moved closer and apparently the staff told them to ask me to move because my vehicle is longer. 😳There were assumptions made that I was sleeping but I was actually sitting inside trying to get rid of leg cramps before I worked out. Not that this should matter! I did not feel welcome here at all. I was going to give one star but the facility itself is nice. Please don’t advertise open 24 hours if you are going to harass patrons parked outside. Might be wise to monitor how your staff speaks to patrons as we are the reason they are employed.

I have a bunch of friends that go to your gym and I wanted to check it out and sign up. The front desk person wanted me to pay twenty dollars to go inside to look around and/or immediately sign up for a membership. I proceeded to sign up and they wanted all my bank information and my credit card number. I can see the credit card but not the bank info so I left. I feel that's too much personal info that can be stolen. I don't think I'll be going back.

I used to go to the gym every day when I lived in Tacoma. I planned on keeping this up when I moved to Kalama 3 years ago but have had so many issues and bad experiences at the kelso location that now I only go to the gym when visiting tacoma or elsewhere. Every other location has been great. Kelso is the only place where employees are rude. I never had payment issues before making Kelso my home gym. After taking payments from my account for 2 years suddenly they tell me I need a different bank account and then refused to let me in unless I paid 20 dollars for just one visit even tho they allow non members in for 3 days for free. So I opened a checking account to use just for them, and there were many payment issues to follow, causing me to incur overfraft fees. Then once I was showering after working out and in comes some guy, no sign, no announcing he was entering, he just came in while I was in the shower and started cleaning the shower next the one I was using. When I informed the employees at the counter they just said 'he isn't supposed to do that" They also make it very difficult to cancel and falsely claim to be open 24 hours. They aren't even open at all during the time of day im not at work or on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday nights. Ive been paying for a black card membership for 3 years and they refused to allow me to bring a guest because her drivers license was from florida. So my friend joins just to be allowed in during the few weeks she was visiting, the very next day I get an email about a promotional offer where if you refer a friend you get a free month so I go there and tell them I signed my friend up the night before and they say they won't honor the offer because I didn't have my friend put me down as having referred her. Even tho the rude woman at the counter was right there when we signed her up and there is no way she didnt remember us because I was a bit angry at the situation of them not accepting my guest. Another time I asked for the wifi password and the rude woman acts as if shes being put out and tells me "it's om the wall, there are a lot of things on the wall and there is more than one wall. I didnt see it and didnt feel comfortable asking where on the wall or if she could just tell me what it is so i left. The employees are not paid very well which is probably why they are so unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. I havent been there for a year because every time I decide to go, they are closed. Im still paying tho because they only seem to be open when Im at work or otherwise not free and you have to cancel in person. Being refused entry when I have paid every moth and annual fees for years makes me most mad. It is embarassing to be standing outside in workout clothes, gym bag and water bottle in hand and emoloyees actually blocking the entrance while the rude lady rudely says if I want in I have to pay 20 bucks for an hour of use then to have it again with my out of town guest ....there is just too much wrong with this location. Its not a Planet Fitness thing it is this specific location that is bad. If I do keep my membership I will be going to Hazel Dell or Vancouver even tho they are 30 or more miles away at least they are friendly and welcoming.

Whole reason why I joined was because it was 24/7 now they say they are 24/5. But how is that when they close 7 pm Sunday open 5am Monday and then close 9 pm friday. Yall are 24/4.

The planet fitness in Longview has the worst manager "Brandy" I've ever met. She looks rude, and is rude. Also, my fiance recently ran into being singled out with what he wore. He has traveled to all locations and never been harassed about his shirts. This location she gave him a warning. He ended up wearing his cutoff another time and she canceled his membership even after he sincerely apologized and said he wouldn't make the mistake again. The next day, I went to work out, there were two men who wore the same thing.
Apart from my fiance's own dealings, my perception of this lady is bitter. She works in customer service, and I have never seen her with a smile on her face, let alone greet anyone walking in, she leaves that to the others at the counter. As a manager, I imagine someone in that spot to be inviting and great with communicating with all types of people. She's replaceable, and I'm sure there is someone who would thrive having her job.

Worked out here during 2020/2021, have “canceled” my membership, but continue to get billed. I went in (January 2023) and signed something to cancel it, I was billed for Jan/Feb & March plus a $50 membership fee. I have since called three times and every time I’m told a manager will call me back, but none have. I get a snotty attitude each time - I just don't want to pay for a gym membership I don’t use. Contacting my bank & corporate today.

For "no judgement" policy there is quite a bit of judgement and sadly not from other patrons. Facilities are generally clean. Trash is usually overflowing and the women's locker room is poorly maintained and has a broken shower head. I'm told the men's does also. Most of the staff are great, but some seriously need a reality check and realize they are not "above" anyone.

The attitudes from every employee since the very first day I signed up has been the worst example of customer service I have ever seen. I have been paying since September and haven't gone in, not even once. just because of the way I have been treated. And canceling doesn't seem to be an option. So disappointed. They need to clean house and get employees that can actually work with the community without making them feel like this. Wow. Time to give my monthly dues to a small gym that actually cares about their members.

Terrible. Terrible. Terrible. Can I say that again? Absolutely terrible customer service & business policies here. We stopped through here looking for a day pass. The employees were not only very unwelcoming but actually pulled out every excuse to make it so that we couldn't train here. One of the biggest issues was my 13 year old daughter. They said she needed to be 13 to train there, I told them she was, and she turned 13 back in November '22. They then told me "well hlshe would need to have ID to prove that."
Seriously? What 13 y/o has ID? She doesn't receive a school ID until next year (obviously, not my policy, the school's). There was no attempt to help with the situation. It was treated as a "Well, too bad for you I guess." kind of thing. We were standing there, willing to pay them $40 (their day fees) for us to train for 45 minutes, and we'd be on our way, but nope, they enjoy losing money instead. I will never try to go to this gym again, and I'm happy to warn everyone to stay away.

Planet Fitness like to waste people's time. They can't cancel over the phone or online even though when you call to cancel are told it ok. Then later find out that isn't true. So instead they take an hour out of your your day and waste fuel to walk into the gym or send a certified letter. Which is absolutely B.S. They claim it was stated upon joining the gym it had to be done this way but that was never stated to me.

They have a million machines, so if that is what you are looking for, that is your place.

Freeweights for barbells is basically nonexistant though. I wanted some squats, deadlifts, bench press, etc and their answer is really Smith machines at best, or machines that fill this gap. They have some prefilled barbells of moderate weight, but this clearly isn't aimed at being a meathead gym.

I'd rate it really 2 stars for myself, but since I am clearly not the target audience, I'll be nice. They were really clean inside, the space is huge, and the people were nice. Lots of tvs up for the cardio crowd. Everything looked well maintained, and so, I'd recommend it if you like what they got.

They have 2 plans:
* pf black: $25 per month + 40 annual fee - you get tanning beds, massage chairs, guests, and other things
* classic: $10 per month + 50 sign up + 40 per year - just normal membership
* single day pass $20

So first year will cost you $340 total or $208 depending on what you choose.

Cancelation fee is $58

It was good until I moved 10 additional miles away and I got exposed to covid twice after the inforsed masks again. At that point with the distance and the rise of covid exposures, I contacted planet fitness via the phone number provided for this specific location because it is the only way I've found other than physical going in but that wasn't an option because I had recently been exposed. The lady suggested waiting 2 months because given the total cancellation change of her, I'd be a bit cheaper to just wait. My second exposure I called again
a month before I was ellegible for cancelling and was left confused over when to quit, I was told I should wait another month. Figured out the time exactly on my own but by that time I actually got covid and my daughter didn't test negative for 2 weeks after I did but of course, I have to physically come in to cancel it because that's the only way to do it apparently but I didn't want to risk anyone that goes there. After I was able to come in, I explained my situation and they were not helpful and seemed to have no sympathy for my situation. Months of black members card charges that they wouldn't even let me downgrade and a big cancellation charge. So disappointed, I saw a mix of reviews and I took a chance anyways. *Edit- by mail or in person are the only way you can cancel your membership.

I have been to several gyms in Vancouver including all the planet fitness gyms. This place has the best morning staff over all the gyms. The fact that the staff can remember most members names as they walk in door is fantastic. It feels like going home to family. I appreciate also how clean the place is which says a lot about how the staff cares about their job.
My only complaint is the logo on the wall... Lunk alarm...mmm judgement free place. And maybe add a few new gym equipment pieces and perhaps a smoothie bar. Then it would be perfect!
I'd like to speak with the owner if possible to maybe adjust that logo..
