Here we go again at this location. Kicking people out of a space that we pay for as well so the trainer can have a class is despicable and not appropriate for an establishment that offers all the equipment for everyone to use, but clearly misleading. In my opinion they need better management and appropriate plan for their clients that need to be trained. So I took a star off now it's only one star.

Has gone way downhill the past couple of years. The gym clearly doesn’t get cleaned, machines are always down or janky, god forbid the towels are refilled. The employees are blasé at best. The “coaches” are rude, and a lot of the members just leave their equipment out/laying around and wiping down the machines is apparently not a thing. Not sure if new management, or just really poor management. Super frustrating. The ONLY perk is the 24/7. If you’re not a late or early gym goer, highly recommend elsewhere.

I called about the amazing deal online and was met with a kid who didnt listen to me, named Djion. He was upset i asked for another member, hoping to be listen to and was met with 5 mins on hold and then being hung up on. I called back and requested a manager. When i was told a story about the boss being sick and that he was not listening because of an associate that turnes in to a member the second telling of the excuse filled story. Then I had to demand Djion give me who ever is in charge for hanging up on me. If it was not for the olympia location and their wonderful staff i would of not kept my noob black membership. I will be visiting the nicer store and i will be avoiding Djion and his poor customer service excuses.

I will say, if you are going to uphold the rules, then do it with everyone. We got corrected for wearing jeans but when an old black guy does it, no one corrects him. He has done it on multiple occasions too and never been corrected. I have canceled my membership and will not be going to any planet fitness.

This place is a joke. I went inside last night to inform them of how much of a joke they are but the kid at the desk was visibly uncomfortable when I went in to confront them, I was afraid I might make them cry. So instead I will come here where it will probably do more good.
I dropped my son off last night to workout as he has been with his friend all summer since they have the free summers for high schoolers. I was halfway home when my son called saying they kicked him out due to overdue fees. The overdue fees? ARE FROM 2023!!! It is 2025 and summer is almost over. He has been going all summer. The kid at the desk tried to explain that their systems were down when he signed up for the summer and that's how the connection wasn't made...Soooo...their systems were also down in 2024 when he was going all last summer too? Oh and the overdue fees? They're supposedly because the account wasn't cancelled and it went to collections... First of all, if it went to collections, why am I still supposed to be paying you, and why haven't I heard from collections in all this time!? Honestly I'm not surprised, because when we cancelled, and we DID cancel his membership in 2023, it was a whole unforgettable ordeal then because they kept not taking our payment and then telling him he needed to pay when it was supposed to be automatic. This happened so many times we finally had enough and cancelled and he's just been doing free summers unhindered since then yet somehow, two summers later he has overdue fees and has to leave!?
Don't bother responding, I'm not going to contact anyone about this as I am quite done with you people. I'm just making sure everyone else knows you are a problem.
If my son wants to go to the gym I can add him to my membership for $30 at Whetstone Fitness. It's a smaller gym in Olympia, black owned, small business. There are way better gyms in the area where you can support your community. Pressing on Fitness, Alliance Athletics, all better options.

It's pretty confusing because on the app it shows under "amenities" that you can use any planet fitness location. I found out that is not the case for folks with a classic membership. I was also told(falsely) by an employee over the phone that I could use any location. Today, I got approached and was told that I couldn't use this gym. I know I was mislead, and I don't hold that against the staff here.
Although, I'm very disappointed that no one offered me the day pass option for this location, that I later found out is a thing! I am a paying member, I only wanted to get a 30 minute workout in and I was just told I couldn't be there! It didn't feel great. I'm not trying to "steal" from the gym I have a membership for. They are very strict on a "you get what you pay for" mentality here. Feels more judgement free if you pay the higher price.

The tanning beds at the Lacey location are never ALL up and running with proper bulbs. The bulbs haven’t been replaced in over 6months and in one bed there are 9dead bulbs and now the other lay down bed is broken likely due to overheating because the other lay down bed is out half of its bulbs. Tanning is a popular commodity in this Washington location and a lot of member pay to access this feature I don’t understand why the proper maintenance hasn’t been prioritized on these tanning beds it’s pretty frustrating.

Been coming here for years. Had a 3 day overdue balance, asked if I could pay next payday. Told me no, cause their management is coming down on their employees for allowance, writing them up.

Why is the stretching rack placed in the most awkward spot in the building? Where it was placed initially was ideal because there was more privacy when you were bending over and trying to stretch. Also why would you take one of each hip abduction and adduction machine out when there has been for the last several years almost lines made for using them. With a gym that has that many members there should be 2 of everything. The leg extension is very cheap feeling you can't even adjust the part that hits your ankles. I've gone to this gym for years and it make me sad that it has been turned into what it has. I'm sorry but It feels like I'm working out at a hotel gym. I saw over night many people quit because of these changes. I'm wondering did you guys do any research how to run a gym before you purchases it? Do you care about the peole that pay you? Rosie is the only reason I’d give this gym 4 stars. She is helpful, responsive and able to see through issues to resolution. Apparently the manager there can’t be bothered to work an 8 hour shift, so it’s no wonder the new trainee I spoke with on Saturday was unprepared to help me get access to the membership I purchased. Rosie not only assisted me, but took the opportunity to train those around her to help others in the future. Her engagement with other guests was exceptional- very friendly. Maybe time to promote this one!

The guy that was working tonight 12.11.2024 at 22:40 it all started he telling me what I was wearing was breaking the policy. I had told him I had been wearing clogs with safety and on top of that he was look at me very inappropriate especially at my chest. I had told I will next be aware not to bring this and told me that no he couldn’t have me there. In reality the guy was just mad because I wasn’t giving him attention which I reject him. The gym is sneaky with their fees and billing. I signed up using a link that advertised “ no annual fee” 3 months in they charge me 53.97 for an annual fee. I checked my account and they have been nickel and diming. Customer service for billing is terrible and pretty much non existent.

maybe post somewhere about your “shoe policy” i was wearing CLOSED toe shoes and still got kicked out for wearing uggs. which i always wear to the gym. there is nowhere on the website or at the location that i have to wear specific shoes. i’m not doing a workout involving certain shoes. i’ve seen the manager wearing uggs at the gym while working out. it should not be a big deal to where i have to leave bcause an employee kicked me out for CLOSED toe shoes unexpectedly. drove 30minutes for my workout and immediately was told to leave.

I generally like this place, and I've been coming here since before COVID, but the new machines are disappointing. I'm not sure how a stack of steel plates and a metal frame wears out, and why they had to be replaced, but many of the new machines have an unnatural movement that stresses my joints. The bicep curl machine specifically makes my shoulder and elbow joints sore for a couple days, and I never had that problem with the old machine. Other machines have a similar effect.

I like what this gym has to offer. The employees seem to be respectful and do their best to answer any questions I may have.
I have a problem regarding payment. A few months ago, I noticed my payment didn't go through. I called and asked if I could make a payment over the phone because I was having issues with the app and was unable to come in. The employee I spoke with said I could come in the next day and wouldn't be charged a late fee.
Clearly, it's my responsibility to pay my bill on time, and of course, I could've reviewed my policy to confirm. I went in the next day and was charged a late fee. I would've gone in later the night before if I had known. I didn't make a big deal about it, but it's important they give out the correct information.
I now have an issue with payment again. I made a payment through the app and was charged twice. I went in the following day and spoke with a manager. I was told it would be put back on my card.
It's been 3 weeks. I still have not been refunded. My monthly payment is coming up again. I need someone to please fix this.

The gym itself is in a great location and has plenty of equipment. The customer service could be a lot better though. I’ve been a black card member for more than 5 years and have always enjoyed Planet Fitness perks. However it is aggravating when I’m told there is only a 5 minute wait time for a hydro massage chair and then I’m waiting almost 20 minutes just to be ignored and not told that there is an available hydro massage chair - and when I walk back up to the counter to ask, the front desk employees act so annoyed and are very rude. Planet Fitness employees should work on being more friendly and kind, it would make everyone’s experience 10 times better :’)

I've been coming here about 6 months. It was fine at first, nothing special, but no big complaints. I was out for a week for surgery, and when I came back, IT'S SO FREAKING LOUD. The weight area was always louder, and the stretching/ TRX/ ab area was quieter. Why did the quiet area get bumped up to 5,000 LEVEL VOLUME!? I can hear the music over my noise canceling headphones.

So normally it's totally fine. But lately there has been alot if workers just standing around. For instance today one girl was helping a customer and the the other girls just stood there standing looking at me and didn't even help or ask if we needed anything one of the girls behind the desk standing was just drinking her drink with out a care of what's going on. Every interaction we've had with the front desk staff has been from awkward to unpleasant when it didn't need to be. Just got told to leave because I was wearing crocs and didn't receive any warning beforehand. Drove 20 minutes for nothing. I've seen multiple people wearing them here since I've been going. James Brown is a stellar personal trainer at Planet Fitness in Lacey. I was so impressed with his unique skill with physiology and kinesiology. He seemed to really understand the muscles and the primary function of exercises in such a way that I have not seen before. Planet fitness is lucky to have such a fine individual to train their patrons. I hope that in the future I get many more opportunities to use his personal training ability to advance my own techniques.

Where do you even start with this place. I have worked out PF's in Colorado, Oregon and Washington. This is by far the worst for going against what PF says it is. The Men's locker room always smells unclean. The machines are clean because gym members clean them(usually). The signs about "Lunks" are ignored by staff and quite a few members. This place is a bro-fest, which is what I thought was supposed to be avoided!? String tank tops, grunting, weight-slamming, gallon water jugs, stare down-downs, and boots abound (all discouraged by signage in the club). "Gymtimidation," as they call it here?!
This PF has that 90's Gold's Gym bodybuilder vibe. The low fees keep people that would work out in a different environment coming back. Employees are relatively nice, but ineffectual. There is one guy though, that literally approaches every female under 40, and tries to chat them up. Utterly cringeworthy.
Each PF is franchised, so the owners of the Lacey PF are obviously down with this culture, or at best allow it.
If you are closer to the Olympia PF...go to that one. Much better.

Especially the worker named Jesse, he's a VERY hard worker and very welcoming and kind! With his positive and encouraging attitude, I always look forward to coming back! He deserves a raise!!!! Also, everyone else that works there are awesome as well! Honestly, I didn't know what to expect when stepping out to goto Planet Fitness, due to it being out of my comfort zone to be around others to workout. But I'm GLAD I did step out! I love it!

the staff try to tell me i don’t have an account when I clearly pay for a black card membership here +
always told im not allowed into the gym due to wearing Birkenstocks.. yet whenever I come into the gym I see many other people wearing open toed shoes and sandals like crocs, Birkenstocks, etc. 🤨

Fantastic facility with a good number of machines. I've never seen it over packed so it feels comfortable, although this is more of a corporate gym and that may turn some old head weightlifters off.

I love the tanning, hydro massage, massage chair, and the weight machines. I noticed lately the workers have been nicer to me. I think customer service is the most important thing for me. If the workers can learn how to smile and say welcoming statements when people come in. I love how clean they keep the gym. It really is the cleanest gym I've seen so far.

I prefer the planet fitness near the mall before this one. I will add an extra 6 minutes to my commute for that one. They have basically the same equipment but the one near the mall is much bigger and more space giving it a much more open feel. There could be the same amount of people at it and you won't feel like your working out side by side with someone like this spot.

Great price with 24 hrs and large assortment of machines. Only problem is staff spends most of their time talking to friends and flirting, so they don't notice when people do but wipe equipment down. They are though friendly to all people which is nice. The showers and bathroom get a bit grody so recommend shower shoes.
