Was member. 4 Years. Then they started brining their cleaning crew in at 8:30. For the next 90 min all you can hear is the high pitch whine and constant growl of a shoulder mounted vacuum cleaner right in your ear hole. You can hear the dang thing from the street. Left with a headache and smelling like burnt air for month and then cancelled my membership. Management could not care less.

Great gym. My favorite is the red-light therapy, tanning & hydro massage, all included free with a black card membership. If you do plan to use them for tanning: they have lay down & stand up beds, bring ur own eye wear. One other key tanning tip is you can only tan 1x in 24hrs period, example: you tanning after work today at 6pm & want to go tomorrow it must be after 6pm. In short just because its a different day means nothing its the hours in-between. As for the gym its a rather small gym compared to the ones I am used to in larger metropolitan areas. But it has everything you need except for classes. I dont believe they have a space for that & wish they did offer that option.

Just fine as a gym, but I’ve been going since the start of the year and never had an actually hot shower. (Working on 7 months) There’s about two minutes of mostly hot water and then it goes from tepid to zero heat off and on, but mostly no heat. I have spoken to staff several times and they say they have an old water heater and management doesn't want to spend money to replace it. The hot water was already signed as out for repair for two weeks earlier in the year and has not resolved. A heat pump hot water heater, 55 galons first hr flow costs $3000 and will pay for itself in a year of energy savings. I have personally installed this example in my own home. Based on the number of people there this would pay for itself nearly immediately if they all have the most basic membership. I have asked repeatedly to speak to management and for a reduced cost membership due to the lack of promised facilities and have been unable to hear back from them. A gym with no hot shower and apparently no accountability fails at the basics of being a gym and responsible business practices. Please consider leaving similar feedback so we can get this fixed, and hold the management accountable. Alternately, if you need a proper shower, get a different membership. I’m already locked in for a year unfortunately.

The vibe here is just different. Front desk is very nice and helpful. The equipment is clean and in good condition. Not too many bells and whistles for equipment or additional rooms for classes, but more than enough for most people. The cost and the perks of the black card room are fantastic. I loved getting a hydro massage after my workout for nothing extra. Overall an excellent gym for the price.

This location is closest to home, so I was excited to join through my FitOnHealth (formerly Silver Sneakers) membership. Overall the equipment and space is clean and nicely arranged. Staff is generally friendly and pleasant, but not knowledgeable to resolve problems.

After joining this location on a standard membership, I upgraded to Black Card to use other locations. Unfortunately there was something entered wrong into the PF system so my upgraded membership at other locations did not show, and I could not use another PF gym. All other locations told me my "home gym" needed to fix the problem. Unfortunately the manager and staff were clueless about what to fix. So I ultimately changed my home gym to a location further away from home, and they fixed my upgraded membership in less than 5 minutes. It was a super easy fix, so I'm disappointed in this location and their inability and unwillingness to research the solution.

I'm also going to point out that this Lake Forest Park location seems to be a franchise owned by someone in California. As a result, I concur with the other comments about cold showers, and sometimes lengthy timeframes to get things fixed. Overall, just keep your expectations low for this location. Maybe try Woodinville or Bothell (open 24 hours) instead.

This is a decent PF location but it is very, very busy every time I’m here. I come by in the evenings and of course the after work crowd makes it a busy time but even when I’m here at 8-10pm it seems busy. The free weight area especially is always very crowded. Not anyone’s fault of course, I just thought I would let people know the vibe here.

I'm updating my review based on the actions of the Planet Fitness team in addressing this issue. As noted in my previous review, I gave them 5 stars for everything except the significant issue relating to ice cold showers. They have fixed this problem and as such, I now cannot think of anything they offer that is less than 5 stars. Highly recommended!

I give them 5 stars for all the things I like about this gym - variety of equipment, friendly staff, pricing, cleanliness and lighting that isn't overpowering like at other gyms.

However, if you use a gym before going to work and need to shower there, then this is 0 stars. I have visited this location many, many times, from early in the morning to early in the afternoon, and the showers rarely have any hot water. At best, you get lukewarm water, but most commonly it is either cold or ice cold. I have used the showers when no one else has used them in some time (all stalls bone dry) and have allowed 5-7 minutes for the hot water to arrive. Just doesn't happen. Hard to understand why there is rarely warm water regardless of time and can only assume they utilize a very small water heater.

I can understand, a bit, from a business standpoint, that they don't want the expensive of paying for hot water that could result from potentially longer shower times, but feeling like I'm having a bucket of ice water poured over me isn't ideal.

Effectively, this has eliminated me from using this gym unless it is on a day off when I can shower at home afterwards. Thus, I'd say this is a fantastic gym to join if you never need to shower there, but if you do, it may not be the best option.

Not only is this the closest Planet Fitness location to me, but also it is the best around. While parking may be a battle, once you’re in the door, you’re welcomed by an environment that is continuously cleaned and cared for, greeted by the friendliest faces (special shoutout to Tahir, Karla, Dino, Kenny, and Alysha!) and leaving feeling better than when you arrived, with a fond farewell (provided your headphones aren’t too loud!). While it may be bustling at times, there is often space to workout and access machines, as well as one of the best black card spas (and one of the few with the hybrid tanning/red light machine). Y’all are the best!

The people that work at this location are very kind and courteous, but it has been two weeks now that I know of that they’re tanning beds. The bulbs have been out I’ve told them two weeks ago they were out, switched from one bed to the next only with the other bed the lights to be out and then to be told that the booth was also out they told me Monday the 20th. The management was coming in and they would be changing them I went in Tuesday, January 21, and the bulbs were still out. Maybe they need new management maintenance to take care of this matter. People do pay for services and expect to receive good services when I did the one time with the bulbs out. I was burnt now I’m a little burnt once again because I tanned , because I did not have time to go to Bothell location. I am praying that this matter gets taken care of because this is closest to my home, but if not, I will no longer be going back to Lake Forest Park, which will make me very sad because I do love that area , I pray this gets taken care of and taken very serious as Far as us being the customer we pay for services that should be working adequately

Staff treated me with kindness and empathy, friendliest gym I’ve ever been too. 3 different employees interaction all of them pleasant to one employee being absolutely fantastic - I really wish I got their name. I truly think this location lives by the “judgment free zone”

Of course some gym members don’t wipes down the machines and they’re not enough employees to just follow everyone around, typical of gyms I’ve been too. Even so, the facilities were still pretty clean. I got in an amazing workout, some red light and a lovely shower. Definitely recommend!

The top entrance of the gym does not unlock until 10am for newbies. No hour signs posted anywhere so I’m putting it here. Park on the lower area if you’re a morning gym goer. Certain staff members are really great about getting to know your name and greeting you personally. It’s a pretty good and clean gym for the price! Alicia/aleesha (idk how to spell her name) is literally the kindest and most genuine staff member here! She memorizes everyone’s names and greets them and says goodbye to them by name! PF LFP has incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable staff people, and even if you're not quite stoked to sweat when you arrive, everyone at the desk is so positive and encouraging that if you just commit to working out three days in a row, the awesome employees' cheerleading will turn you into a gym rat!

The women's locker room is spic and span and well-supplied, always. Great work, staff!

I would award PF LFP five stars if they had better TV service. I don't like bringing devices to the gym (after work, I need a break from electronics!), so I rely on TV to keep me sweating away. There are two TV banks, with 9 stations--but only a few actually work. Random stations are frequently dark, and there's often no audio on stations for weeks at a time. I've never been enrolled in a gym with such longstanding tech problems, and I assume PF LFP is working on a solution. It's been months! Anyway, once the problem is permanently solved, PF LFP will be five-star, in my view.

After all, PF LFP gets so much right: When equipment fails, it's generally fixed within a week, and there's plenty of equipment for everyone, even at peak times like weekdays after work.

For the price and what it is, it’s a great value. On the customer service side, Alicia (I hope I’m spelling correctly) at the front desk is consistently awesome. My one and only suggestion would be to install ceiling fans (or equivalent) over the cardio areas. It gets oppressively hot when I’m using a machine for more than 20-minutes. Other locations I’ve been to have them and it makes all the difference. I know the ceilings are lower than some other locations, but it seems like something could be done.

The spa gets closed quite about bit, which I was told was due to technical errors which doesn’t make it worth paying the higher price if you can utilize it after your workout. I'm moving to Oregon and sad to leave this gym. It is CLEAN, there are tons of machines, I've never had to wait. The staff is kind and friendly and encouraging. If you have never joined a gym, this would be a great one to try. And for folks of a certain age, there's a section of the gym called "PF Express" that has a circuit of weights that is a REALLY great way to start weight lifting which is crucial for us as we get into our 50-60-70's. I called today to cancel my membership as I moved to another state and forgot to cancel my membership when I moved. Spoke to Daisy, I asked her what do I need to do to cancel my membership? She told me I would need to come into the gym to cancel it. Unfornately I cannot do that. So she said I would need to write a letter and mail it with my signature. She was extremely snotty. I asked her where do I send this letter can you provide the address. She made it difficult to get simple information. Finally I slowly asked her where do I send the letter? She rudely gave me the address, I said thank you and she hung up. Her customer service is awful and she should not be working the phones or dealing with customers.

Planet Fitness isnt a bad gym. There are a lot of extras for the extra $10. The Lake Forest Park location is the worst of the 3 local locations. They have the worst hours, the smallest sq ft, and they're slow to get anything done. They're the only location where the water fountains still aren't on.

This place is ridiculous I've been a member for over 5 years always paid on time and they have charged my account 3 times this month which it's only the 5th and my bill isn't due until the 17th and I've paid my bill 3 times Over this took my whole paycheck and overdrafted my account multiple times causing overdraft fees. I'll be canceling my membership asap! I just lost my dog and mom very suddenly and dealing with a lot of unexpected things to pay for there is no excuse for this I can't afford for this company to cause me these financial issues. Not worth it!

Probably the worst gym I've seen of the planet fitness chain mostly because of the poor management. The manager there who often wears a baseball cap is very unfriendly and condescending and kind of makes up his own rules as he goes for each individual customer. I've seen elderly yelled that for taking sips of water during the mask mandate by the manager himself: ( Plus for T-Mobile no signal and they can't seem to fix their Wi-Fi for years now so basically a black hole: ( Would be nice to get some competent management to run this facility and make it better and more comfortable for members!:(

Update*
They've renovated many portions of the gym and fixed a lot of the issues. The music has even started shuffling genres regularly. Clearly they took some of the bad reviews to heart and did something about it. Staff is still great, if not better now. I'm not entirely sure if he is, but the gentlemen that I believe is the manager (medium build, glasses, well-spoken) is fantastic.

I was about to transfer gyms, but I'll likely stay for the time being.

*This all being said, this gym clearly falls below the standards of their other Seattle-area locations. This gym needs newer machines, more frequent maintenance, and better dedication to cleanliness & aesthetics.
