Very friendly helpful staff. The multiple ways of learning the machines or routines make getting exercise simplified. You can use the app, scan the machine or ask one of the friendly staff members. Clean and well maintained. If you bring your auxiliary earphones you can also catch up on news while you work out. Definitely recommend for anyone thinking about joining a gym. And the black card spa is great for relaxation 😌

A few months back the blonde female manager was clearly talking ish or making fun of me. After a few incidents of her clustering up with her coworkers every time I came in looking at and snickering about me I decided I'd bring it up rather than stop using PF because an employee was bullying a guest??!?
When I went to the front desk she informed me SHE was the manager. I then said I noticed that some employees were clearly talking bad about guests. She responded, "was it you??" I said yes, and she said "was it me???" I said yes, she then tried to get me to step aside to chat with her. Possibly away from cameras. I just walked out. Assuming a gym that claims to be inclusive will understand the assignment. After, she did stop talking about me in front of me and went to fake smiling when I came and left.
I opted to let it go.
Today there was a young gentleman cleaning the women's locker room. He was in fact minding his business, but many men would not be that respectful. There were a few women in the locker room including myself. When a young woman looked at me concerned and another woman came out of the shower area I realized that I needed to ask about this policy. Knowing there were (3) women working at the time. This time I spoke with a darker haired older woman. She dismissed my concern immediately, saying "it's his job".
The young new male employee came to the desk and was very respectful validating my concern. He also is one of two employees I've ever seen actually cleaning properly, working. There are usually (3) or more people just standing around at the front desk (plenty of time to watch and criticize guests) while there is dust and debris on the floor and caked around the walls in the stretching area and probably unseen fungus on everything. I'd like to thank him for taking such care and for handling my concerns so professionally. I hope he or the other hardworking employee will be promoted asap. Because this management is disrespectful at best.

One Star (Zero if I could)

I’ve been a loyal Planet Fitness member for years and have visited close to 100 locations across the country—East Coast, West Coast, South, Midwest. I’ve always appreciated the consistency, convenience, and welcoming environment, especially as someone who drives over the road and depends on Planet Fitness locations for a reliable place to reset and work out. That’s why my experience at the Moses Lake, WA location was deeply disappointing and honestly disturbing.

When I arrived, my phone was broken so I couldn’t badge in through the app. The front desk staff was able to find my membership under my name, and I was let in without issue. I appreciated that—until everything took a turn.

While using the restroom, an employee came in and randomly asked me, “Are you going to work out?” I was confused and asked why he was questioning me. He claimed I had been “walking back and forth,” but couldn't explain what he meant or why that mattered. I asked, “Am I not allowed to walk outside and come back in?”—and again, no clear answer. It was awkward and accusatory. I finally asked, “Are you asking me this because I’m Black?” His response? He started stuttering and said, “No, I’m Mexican,”—as if that somehow made it okay.

Afterward, the whole situation bothered me so much that I sat and reflected on what had just happened. It felt like a form of victim-blaming—like I had to question myself: What was I doing? What was I wearing? Did I do something wrong? I realized then that I had left my folder at the front desk earlier when they were helping me check in. That’s why I walked out and came back in—to retrieve my folder. And for that, I was approached in the restroom and interrogated? It made no sense.

I tried to get answers. I asked who told the employee to question me, and he blamed the manager. But when I asked for the manager, nobody could clearly say who made the call. Another staff member said the manager was on the phone, possibly watching remotely. This all felt suspicious, unprofessional, and frankly, biased.

This has never happened to me at any other Planet Fitness—only here and one other location in Washington. The energy was off, and the behavior did not reflect the “Judgment Free Zone” that Planet Fitness is supposed to stand for. I felt very judged.

I’m writing this because I need satisfaction. I need accountability. I felt singled out, disrespected, and profiled—and that’s unacceptable.

Zero stars if I could. Do better, Moses Lake Planet Fitness.

The staff member who just had a birthday said 'if there for more than 30 minutes you're loitering'.

I find this to be likely a discriminatory remark and preposterous. Is she saying a PAYING MEMBER has 30 minutes to workout, shower, possibly use a massage table etc all in under 30 minutes???

-People constantly recording in changing rooms despite being against policy. No action taken against repeat offenders

-Staff would rather chat amongst themselves than pay attention to the spa guests. Literally every single time I ordered a massage from the premium area the staff would forget to start it, and I'd have to go all the way back out of the area to remind them. They would always be talking with other coworkers, not even guests. What am I even paying extra for?

-Groups of teenagers that just occupy areas without actually utilizing any of the equipment

-Some patrons do not clean up after themselves

0/10 I lost all my weight at home this year (30lbs so far) without any help from the gym I was paying for.

Wonderful gym . Works great for my schedule. Open most of the hours of the day and at night too. Lots of room and equipment. Bright and open not cramped up . Big locker room . Has showers and changing rooms. Big plus if you get the black card membership you get tanning and hydro massages. Massage chairs and free tootsie rolls are on the house.

Trying to transfer membership has become increasingly frustrating. I moved to the west side (5 hours away) and have been trying to cancel or transfer membership. Each time I call, I'm told I have to wait for a manager and should call "the next day". I asked to leave a message or a call back number and was told this wasn't possible. I keep "missing the manager" and was forced to pay for another month of membership to a gym I wasn't even able to use.
I called my local planet fitness to see if they couldn't help with the transfer. The woman on the phone was SO HELPFUL and got it done in 3 minutes by walking me through the website. I wish I had called them sooner. The staff at the Moses Lake location didn't seem willing to even try to help.

If you're antisocial like me, you'll enjoy tapping in through your phone (with a QR code) so human interaction is an absolute minimum; you can even sign up 100% online. Two levels of membership, both really affordable and no commitment. First time I've been this motivated to visit the gym in a decade!

Got accused of following and taking pictures of people at this gym by the staff. It never happened. Even to their own admission they reviewed cameras and could only see that I was working out in the same vicinity as other people. Kind of like how you would in a public gym. And they could not see any evidence about the pictures. Which of course would not happen if you never took pictures. Got threatened to get kicked out of the gym with no refund of my monthly bill anyway. Called the regional manager and was told they'd prorate if I decided to end my membership (which I did) but the site manager refused to do so and refused to call the regional manager to make sure she was supposed to prorate. The money still has not been returned to my account. I kept to myself at the gym and never initiated contact with anyone except to check to make sure they didn't need a spot. I listened to music on my headphones and worked out just like everybody else. I will be filing a discrimination complaint. But personal experience aside they promise a 24/7 access that has not occurred since they opened, a trainer which has yet to be hired, cleanliness which did not happen as the men's room constantly smelled foul. Do not waste your time, energy, and money at this gym. And if you're a man that is only there to work out and not socialize you have to be very careful and keep your eyes closed while working out and if a woman is in the public area you have to plan your workout around it. Stay safe and keep yourself protected.

I'm giving this facility 2 stars for its equipment and aesthetic appearance, otherwise it would be 1 star. Section of free weights, tons of machines, beautiful facility. I joined this gym because I traveled here for work. They bait you in by offering low initiation fee, as well as low monthly membership fees. Big huge letters when advertised. I had to relocate to another town, where they unfortunately didn't have a Planet Fitness to transfer to, so I opted to cancel my membership. First, you have to do it in person, which is an inconvenience in itself. So I went into this location to cancel in person as required. The first gal at the desk was really nice, personable, and down to earth. She proceeds to tell me that there is a cancellation fee of $58. I asked to speak to her manager...an older woman, with long stringy black hair in a ponytail, and glasses. She was rude, abrasive, and blunt when she said "It's in your contract. If you read it, you wouldve seen it." It was almost as if she took pleasure in shooting me down. They don't advertise THAT with their big lettering to get you to sign up...its in the small print that's nearly impossible to see. So, beware folks, if and when you end your contract, you're going to bend over and take it. I'll never give my business to this company that conducts themselves this way again, especially with a manager that was so blatantly rude. Hard lesson learned...take the time to read the ridiculously long contract, and bring your magnifying glass so you can actually see it.

Gyms great.. it's the "download Rockbot and play anything we have available on the app".. then turning around and changing the music mid track 'because they dont like it' while cackling about behind the counter. To put on whatever trash pop radio song that pops up first, that no one is feeling.. two songs back to back removed mid-song maybe review what you have available on your app before judging others taste in music that you openly have ready to play.. otherwise, generally friendly atmosphere, mostly non-judgemental.. clean. Can't complain otherwise.

Today Alejandro (staff) said, “We closely monitor the gym and your buddy didn’t wipe down the machine (incline leg press)”. What is this? Big Brother? I didn’t even know the guy, only spotted him. I told Alejandro to tell him, not me.

When the toilet flowed poo over the bathroom floors a couple weeks ago, I was told that they couldn’t mop the floors; they weren’t allowed to, and we all had to wait on the plumber to clean it up. My question: Who mops the floors on the regular basis? The plumber?

I hate working out! I start a gym.... go one time and never again. I have wasted a lot of money. I love this gym, easy to use equipment affordable, no contract. If you don't know how to use equipment, you can scan a barcode on your phone and it shows you how to use it. Staff leaves you alone, which I love. Staff is kind and helpful when you need them. I have gone two days in a row and can't wait to go tomorrow. I have been going as a guest and will be a official member by tonight!

Planet Fitness is open now!!! Great staff. I had an issue with my account last night and the manager took her time to work out the problem. Now I am able to work out. As far as cleanliness, today they put up the cleaners for the machines!! They are doing so well. Keep it up!

Haven’t even opened yet and the service is lacking. We’ve already paid for a month we couldn’t use the grand opening has been pushed back several times now. I’m hoping this isn’t the norm and they’re just working out the kinks but I do want my money back from last month and this month.
