They steal your money without your knowledge after cancelling and then lie say they will refund but don't. It's ok I guess but I think I'm gonna cancel. I was going to the federal way location which is large and has multiple of the most used machines. This location only has one curl machine and one calf machine, only 4 bar machines. Fed way had double or triple the amount, I don't want to pay to stand around waiting for machines to be free so I'll be cancelling to use my apartment and work gym for free. update to PF employees: thank you for your response but I don't think there is a quick fix, this location is way too small to add more machines, and is also in a densely populated area. Having same issue today, all machines are taken unlike at fed way location. I will try out the Issaquah location near my work to see if it's better because I really want to have access to certain machines but this location ain't it. Please open another nearby location or a different building that's larger, that would be root cause resolution.

The gym is clean and staff is friendly. They have a great variety of equipment and the one class I tried (with Aaron) was very good. Unfortunately it does seem that some people spend more time on their phones than actually using the equipment they are sitting on which can make for an occasion wait on some popular machines.

I am giving 1 star because I was treated so rude with a lady that works days that wears glasses don't know her name. She signed me up and was alright not great but alright and told me it would be 1.00 first month and 50.00 after that each month they took 27. 00 out after the 1.00 about a week later, but then I went to the front desk to tan no one there waited for about 10 min and the girl that signed me up came up and wouldn't look at me so I said good morning and she didn't answer or loo up so I couldn't hear her so she had to repeat herself and that really irritated her. I did my tanning and she was not there when I left so I came a couple days later and she acted the same so I told I didn't appreciate her attitude and she just shrugged her shoulders! I am dropping my membership going elsewhere!

Unfortunate encounter with the lady wearing glasses behind the counter this morning. Just wanted to work out for the day as I'm new in town and wanted to know how much as I'm a member at another location but haven't switched to a new location yet. I stood at the counter as the lady just stared at her computer, I stood waiting, waiting, finally she asked while staring at the computer, "phone number?" No hi, how can I help you as I get from every single other planet fitness I walk into. Just, 'phone number' as if very annoyed. So I gave it to her not sure why she was wanting it but said hey, I was just curious how much it was to work out for the day as from a different planet fitness and don't have the black card and she just says, 20 bucks. I was surprised cause it's always $5 at any other place I've worked out as a non-member and I'm pretty sure that's the price for all locations but nope, 20 bucks. So I sucked it up and got the black card and went to work out. As I was walking out I went up to ask her about the massage area and she just ignored me as I stood there so I just left and said "you have a great day!", and she responded quietly without ever looking up only starring at her computer as if very annoyed, 'you too'. Just cold, very cold. I guess the Seattle freeze is real. Trying to keep out the non-Seattle natives maybe. I guess I'm biased cause I always get a genuine have a good day from the employees where I'm from when walking out the door. Or maybe she was just having a bad day. Otherwise the place was great.

This Planet Fitness has too many tv’s tuned to cable news. There have been studies that show exposure to the 24 hour news cycle contributes to stress and anxiety. It also contributes to to depression and hopelessness, which is something that shouldn’t be in a gym environment where people go to escape the outside world in order to better themselves.

When i signes up there was a promo for $.01 down and then $10/month. Yes this is a good price but horrible sign up process. I was told $10 a month....then a month later I was charged $53.95 for an "annual fee". What happened to the $.01 down and then $10/month. No one explained it...they just charged me. What is next? When you sign people up aren't you supposed to fully disclose costs? Horrible service and even worse trained employees. BE CAREFUL WITH THIS LOCATION. I have spoken with multiple people that have expressed how fraudulent charges have been charged on their account. Check your bank statements...I am not alone on this.

Planet fitness is a great place to work out as a transgender woman I get accepted there I don't have any problem. As a night person I wish they were open later on the weekends Friday through Sunday and not close early on the holidays either as I live alone and it gives me a place to go. I wish the TVs had some less masculine stuff on them sometimes like science fiction and more doctor and paramedic shows I like going to the one where they have the lockers in the gym area where you could see them when you're working out as I don't feel comfortable in either locker room I know that it's a small problem because I'm a very small percent of the population anyway they asked so I gave thanks I would go to planet fitness it's a good place you can sit at the table and work on your computer you can work out you can have a shower and go to the bathroom if you want and if you're a black card member like I am you can get a waterbed massage which is good okay then

Early this morning while checking in, I was told my membership payment was late, Hmmm. My response was with auto pay that’s between the bank and Planet Fitness. She (Receptionist )shared my account was 1 day late. This felt like she was chastising me. I felt like I was being judged before doing your homework. Automated payment is automated payment. I’m too old to have crappy credit. I have top-notch credit. I don’t like to be accused of things such as this.. I asked to speak to a mgr and she as much brushed me off. I went up to the front desk 3 separate times. Finally, a female came up stating she was the manager and said that the person that was talking to me was new. The approach felt like she wanted to just brush it off. I work hard with my credit as due most people my age to get blown off by she’s new put me off. When I gave her (Manager) my home phone, she looked up my account. She said oh you’re fine. That she was new in her position. I walked away, still a little miffed. She might wanna think about retraining her new team on how to approach these kind of things instead of just spewing your behind on your payment. Wow, she speaking to me as if I am a person who overlooks paying my bills, timely. I can assure you that is not the case here. Is planet Fitness hurting for members, is this why dues were increased. The receptionist offended my wife, stating it one day late, on our membership payment. Learning how to communicate is an essential skill to prevent this kind of stuff from reoccurring in front of other members. Not to apologize is another issue. My credit is top notch, and it was offensive. I wasn’t aware it was a female manager in the past it’s been Males. You guys have been going through your staff quite frequently around there. Training is an essential process to all successful Business owners. It is also a necessary tool to stop the rotation of staff. Increasing hourly wage could reduce your turnover. I understand business is business, however your reception staff are crucial to success. Most of the time the reception staff will greet incoming customers. In future I would suggest for your team to approach members in a private area. If the auto payment was set up during my initial enrollment. I don’t appreciate being told in front of others people. As they are walking in at front you’re late on at paying my membership. When we established auto payment in the beginning. That’s your guys issue not mine. There was no apologies issued, even after the mgr looked up my account. She just like brushed it off, saying she was new. This is totally unprofessional. Work on your professionalism.

For your sanity, do NOT join this gym. They give you the run-around when you take the proper steps (as stipulated in the contract) to cancel. They say they couldn't cancel due to technical issues, and tell you to call their customer service line to cancel yourself. Customer service line says the gym needs to call them, and when I relay this to the gym, the gym staff keeps cutting me off and refuses to call customer service. Meanwhile my debit card keeps getting charged. Really bad business practice.

Management here sucks. Had a complaint about a creepy dude following me around and one of the staff members just brushed it off. I talked to the manager and she told me there was nothing she could do. When I got agitated because of the ridiculous answers I got, they threatened to revoke my membership. Is this how planet fitness deals with women's safety?? I Canceled my membership immediately and will not be returning. I can't believe how I was treated.

I had a disappointing experience at Planet Fitness During my workout, two girls were chatting loudly and even had a phone conversation right on treadmills. Despite this being disruptive to others who were trying to exercise, no staff intervened. When I reported the issue, instead of addressing the disturbance, the staff told me I wasn't "suitable" for the club and abruptly canceled my membership. It's clear that this gym values socializing over serious workouts. I have plenty of other options where I can focus on exercising without the distractions. A gym should be a place for fitness, not for loud conversations. I won't be coming back, and I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone who takes their workouts seriously.

A sad day. The previous tower in the SW corner of the gym was awesome. Glad the head honcho decided to trade away the one stop shop, which included a multi-grip pull-up bar, dip-bar, step-up platform, a TRX setup, and a rope swing. Now we get this POS instead. Not sure how this improves anyone’s fitness… except maybe make more safe space for the local narcissist’s to film themselves before they post IG and tag PF? Idk.

Great staff (minus upsell season), and I enjoy working out here for the most part. But I do wonder if the owner ever sets foot in his own gym, or any gym for that matter. RIP to my fav dip-bar, and the best one stop shop in Renton.

I have been attending the gym in renton for about 4 months now and the staff here are awesome they make coming to the gym exciting. I have gotten familiar with Jordan and Elvis the last couple of months and they have just positive energy in the gym from saying having a great workout to just asking how my day was and checking on us through out our workouts to see if we need anything. This is just so positive. It makes me get more and more excited about coming to workout. Another hire that I enjoy seeing in the morning is shaianne I have not see her but recently and she does awesome about checking in and greeting and seeing how customers are doing. I have been coming consistently for a while and never have had a chance to thank the amazing workers in here. Shaianne she is a new hire she has been amazing and welcoming in the morning during her shift, Jordan I see her often and her energy is amazing shes always positive and interactive with staff and customers. I started coming here to lift after a knee surgery. Pretty basic stuff here. I don't really understand the "no powerlifting" signs throughout the place. They only have sixteen forty five pound plates in the whole building. Just enough, it turns out, to fill up their legsled. It's not a place equipped to powerlift at.
There are no dumbells larger than 75lbs, and not a single bench press, or squat rack. Instead you've got Smith machines working in those capacities.
Machines are well maintained, as it seems not many people use them. Treadmills appear to receive the most visible use.
Night time staff run the place at half illumination to "save on the electric bill".
This chain counts on people who pay their bill but don't show up.
*UPDATE*
I'm still working out here. Day time staff deserve the bad reputation they have in the majority of the other reviews. I've yet to encounter a staff member on the weekends who isn't face buried in their phone, or huddled together mocking members. That's nasty for a "judgement free zone". Maybe take a stand and pull those signs down or fire those two twelve year olds behind the desk?
As for emailing you.... I did. I was advised to go talk to staff during the day. Nice joke.

The same weight machines tend to break over and over and can be out of commission for months which is frustrating because with that and the amount of patrons that will sit on the machines for upwards of 30 minutes while not actively using them and looking at their phones makes it difficult sometimes to do your workout. The parking lot often has sketchy looking people living in it as well. The billing department is unable to help you at all and they are rude. They tell you to call the location where they also can’t help you. Be aware of excessive and incorrect charges due to their own fault and computer system glitches and be prepared to be helped by clueless people

Can't cancel online without talking to a human, if you cancel your membership there's a ridiculous reinstatement fee, can't stop and start a membership without penalties. You have to clean the equipment after use. I'll just stick to my home gym with the unsexy equipment.

The shower gets hot... the massage bed is Great. They only have 1 so you might have to wait... hate to say it, but that Gym Smells bad. Left early
