The club has brand new equipment. And new personal. The only thing is that the sign out front is missing some lights. They do need more that just coat racks for the jackets, coats, etc… small day lockers would be better for security.

It's worth the $10 a month, but if you're serious about working out, this location is probably not right for you. LOTS of mostly unused cardio equipment and very little space dedicated to free weights and resistance machines. I usually have to spend lots of time waiting to use the machines I need. This location is very proximal to my house, and it's 24 hours which is attractive to me. I wish they would monitor the parking lot better. Most of the time the lot is completely full and there are only a handful of folks in the facility.
Once again, great value. It's clean and the staff is friendly.
EDIT: They just bought new machines and they expanded their strength training and free weight assortment. It’s great now. Updating my review to 5 stars.

UPDATE: THEY HAVE UPGRADED!
All new machines, more free weights and an actual area for heavy lifting. Less treadmills and more stairmasters (that are next to each other). Far more options.
I have been coming here for quite sometime because it works with schedule. It had vastly improved over the years. The staff is more friendly than when I first joined. I'm happy they updated the massage beds and system, as they used to always be down. My only complaint is I wish they would update the machines like the valley locations and had a better free weight selection. Other than that is serves it's purpose and is affordable.

I've been an on-and-off member since 2018. I just came back after a 2 month hiatus and after trying a gym that really only had the sauna going for it, I'll never stray again. PF has new, better, cleaner, and more versatile equipment, and in some cases, more of the same machine. And I don't even know how it's possible, but I feel like the massage chairs got better...?! Listen, as a proud Black Card member, I wouldn't mind paying more if PF decided to install both dry and wet saunas, but if you don't I still won't leave. Pinky promise.

Finally decided to use the black card membership I've been paying on for years! Success! Got in a good workout! And then it was time for a quick shower before heading back to my jobsite... That's when the whole plan fell apart. Cold water! And one shower didn't even have a shower head mount. What?! Just a hand-held (which is gross/weird for a gym) hanging there. Showers were disgusting. And did I mention the water was cold?! Occasional hints of lukewarmish water, then cold again. The worst!
Went back to work and shivered for 4 hours until I had to run home and take a long hot shower. Was chilled to the bone. Couldn't get warm, no matter what I tried.
WHY, PF?!?! I get that there are homeless people in this dump of a town and that all public restrooms are neglected but c'mon! Why do you hate your paying customers?! My yearly fee just renewed. And I feel like I've been scammed.
Do better. HOT water and basic shower head mounts. How hard is that? Answer: it's reeeaaally easy and cheap. Maybe $20 and an hour (tops) of minimal effort... How would I know? Because I'm a builder. Which is why it is making me very angry.

My partner and I have been regular visitors to this gym for about a year now. We appreciate its proximity to our home and enjoy the company of most of the other patrons.
However, there are occasional challenges. Some individuals tend to occupy multiple machines at the same time, reserving equipment by leaving dirty rags, bottles, or articles of clothing behind. At times, one person will use more than three machines for up to 30 minutes, which is quite frustrating.
Another concern I have is with the staff. Whenever I visit, the employees, including the managers, are often seen huddled together with their faces buried in their phones. They may look up occasionally, but they quickly avert their gazes without acknowledging your presence—no greetings, nods, or even a smile. This was the only place where I’ve provided payment information without ever looking the associate in the eye.
There is one exception, and that’s Dawn. She is always cheerful, helpful, and makes an effort to greet patrons and ensure that their workouts are going well.
I know this standoffishness isn’t typical for all Planet Fitness locations, as I occasionally visit the one in the valley, where the staff is fantastic. There, you are always greeted upon arrival and leave with a friendly “Thanks for coming in! Have a great day!”

Gym itself is nice, but many of the staff are unprofessional. There was a man filming himself in the bathroom, and when I told the staff guy, he went into the bathroom, but didn't notice I was in the stall, and he promptly told on me, describing myself in detail, to him, and said he doesn't mind filming, just to watch out for me. That's felony behavior that the staff blamed to the person complaining for.
Update: told a newer blonde female employee who was completely professional about it, but then another female employee said it was up to me and not staff to confront the guests. Ridiculous.

I took my girlfriend there, it was her first time ever in the gym since she suffered back injuries from getting run down by two cars when she was a child. I'm a vet and more seasoned gym goer. We loved that we could do our signing up online and when we arrived, put down one signature and started our workout, they didn't try to sell a bunch of products or make us do a bunch of paperwork or feel obligated to see a trainer. We got the black cards for $25 a piece and 0 dollars down. After an hour workout, we were able to enjoy a hydro message that really made her pain fo away, we will definitely keep going there.
Update: still love the gym and go periodically each week. Since I tend to procrastinate it helps that it is budget friendly and has no hidden fees, minus the annual fee. People are respectful and keep to themselves mostly.

For only $25/month you can tan daily, use the hydro massage beds & chairs daily, use the Infrared machines that use infrared light to heat the body from the inside out, which can boost calorie burn through sweating and improve circulation, muscle recovery, and skin health. You can bring a friend everytime if you want, get personalized workout plans, access to daily workout classes, I mean for $25/month that's freaking amazing that's allot of stuff for cheap, definitely worth it. Even if you just tanned everyday it would be well worth it, let alone adding all the other stuff to it too🥰

A lot of variety of machines, dumbells, cardio machines, circuits or for supersets. You can sign up for personal training classes. No free standing bench or punching bag which would be a nice add. They have massage chairs, tanning booths, lockers, showers just about everythere. No pool or steam room but overall its an awesome environment for people to get their workout on i give it a big thumbs up.

I went in to visit Spokane to see my family and wanted to take my little sister to local gym, I myself work for planet fitness and I loved the cleanness of the gym there but not the people, their was this unprofessional guy; I ask him where the drinks were he was very confused and acted like their wasn’t any until I said, drinks, beverages, water and he started to comply and tell me where, then when he ringed me up I told him I work for planet fitness and usually it’s 55 cents per bottle if you are black card holder, he laughed and said “ well this isn’t Seattle” and continued to charge me 2.72 for 2 bottles of water. His name was Andrew and if you’re seeing this I don’t appreciate your customer service and feel like you need to grow up and act your age and forsure know it was racial thing! But that’s another story, if you’re his manger please have him do better because that is not okay and shouldn’t be allowed at any planet fitness - from a former pf member!

I originally purchased memberships for both my husband and my son on 1/12/2021. They had separate accounts, but my credit card was linked to both. In September 2023 my husband and son attempted to cancel their memberships without success. In December 2023 I eventually went to the location myself to ensure both memberships were cancelled.
Although I was told both accounts were cancelled, I am still being charged for one. This has been ongoing for over two years. Every time I call or visit, I am told the memberships are cancelled, yet the charges continue.
The memberships were originally $10.90 per month. One account was cancelled, but I continued to be charged $10.90 until 11/18/2024, when the charges suddenly increased to $27.30 per month. On 2/3, I was charged $53.41, then $27.30 again on 2/18, and $27.30 every month since.
This is unacceptable. I have paid hundreds of dollars in membership fees for accounts that should have been cancelled years ago. I have called and visited multiple times to resolve this issue, yet nothing has been done.

There has been a booger like item on the dressing room door by the handle no less for over five weeks. Door knobs and handles are highly used surfaces and should be cleaned. Pretty disgusting. If they actually cleaned the stalls it would have been caught by now. Really gross. And Heather is just RUDE. Over and over. No personality. You should greet people and acknowledge people like you mean it that’s customer service.

This club gets dirtier every time I come in (which is multiple times a week). There is dirt and hair and grime on every machine, the floors have definitely never been cleaned, and god forbid you look at the ceiling (you’ll see floating dust bunnies and dirt streaks). This place would be great if it was clean. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

My boyfriend had a membership here and he was only supposed to be paying 24.99 a month. This also happened to my mother where planet fitness took unnecessary payments from her account that she had to dispute it went on for months. We just had a baby and have a 4 year old child so that’s already pricey enough for when and if he can go. We woke up one more morning and noticed $70 was missing out of our account and when we called the manager told us it’s for an annual fee and overdraft because he was a few days late paying due to his pay check not coming in on time for the payment. No one informed my boyfriend about the annual fee and when he tried canceling his membership for good because he wasn’t told about it they denied him on giving him the annual refund even though he’s only had the membership for 2 months! This company took advantage of our family and now our kids have to go without until next pay check and we are done with this company. Do not recommend signing up unless you want money pulled out of your account constantly for no reason!

Slow to fix equipment. Smith machine has been out of commission for over a month. Shower in men's room has been broken for equally as long. Cable machine has been broken for over a week now. When asked about broken things in the past, management was rude enough I won't ask again. At least 13 pieces of equipment currently have broken or out of order signs.

The homeless population has gotten out of control. Feel unsafe to even walk in the parking lot. Brought this up to management, they couldn’t care less. Their response was to talk to the people living in their car to make sure they were a member because in that case it’s okay to live in your car on their property. Guess you can buy a planet fitness membership and also get rent for free.

One of the two broken showers is the ADA shower. Locker rooms were even worse this morning.
Edit: we spoke with the club manager, and reported the issues numerous times. We cancelled our membership as a result of the lack of interest in resolving the issue. We even tried calling your contact number at the main site.

Many employees are very friendly and positive. Some even go out of their way to answer questions and help. However, there is one young white male, average height brown hair looks like late teens, and never greets and is always with his earbuds. He never smiles and clearly shows he hates working there. I greeted him three times already because I don't hold grudges, and he just stares at you and decides not to say anything. I've noticed he has conversations with other employees but doesn't speak to others and always carries a frown.
I don't go to Planet fitness to see frowning faces. Planet fitness needs to address this because I've noticed him blatantly ignoring many more people. Also a small detail, since he's been there, there's never enough paper towels or there's empty rolls, only one spray bottle instead of enough for everyone to comfortably use, how there usually is. He must be disrupting everyone's work as well. Other than that, this PF is one of my favorite ones to go to. This young man just tries to ruin the experience with his attitude. If you can't do customer service, then there are many other opportunities out there.

I've been going there for the last couple weeks. On my 5th visit this man that was working the counter stopped me because my phone app didn't scan right so we talked for a few seconds and I got my phone scanned and everything. I said thanks and he said hey we need your picture and I'm like okay I'm not really ready for that today and he snapped at me very rudely that it's company policy for all members to have their picture taken. And I'm like well they should tell me that when I signed up. This just feels like weird timing on my 5th visit. I had questions and concerns and he threw his hands up and then pointed to the route locker room and snapped at me really loud to just go I'm not going to argue with you about this. So I said great and started walking and he shouted again it's our company policy and I shouted back strange I've never been harassed about this my last few visits. If you want somebody's picture ask nicely planet fitness!!!!

I really liked this gym alot until today. I've been back and forth with so many people today and still have yet to get an answer on why I was charged for the month when I have a free month that was supposed to be credited for referring a friend. Customer service told me I needed to contact my home club for billing Information and to get my refund. I called, was greeted by Jim who cut me off and told me to wait a minute, set the phone down and had a close to 3 minute long conversation both someone else in the lobby. He came back on the line asked how he could help me and I started explaining my situation, he hung up on me. I called back was greeted by a gentleman who didn't give his name. I told him I was calling back because I was hung up on and he said "he's not good with phones." I started explaining my situation again and was told basically he didn't know why I was calling them because they can't help and I needed to contact customer service in a not very friendly tone. I told him I already contacted customer service and they literally gave me your number to call to figure this out. He told me he didn't know why they would say that and he didn't know what to tell me besides a manager would be there Monday.
Your workers really need to work on their customer service skill. If anything I'm just more frustrated and disappointed now.

I travel a lot for work and use PF wherever I go. My first time at this location. Multiple machines were marked out of order, which happens. No exaggeration I got on 7 other machines that weren't working properly or at all. This gym needs major maintenance.

Cancelled my membership in person at the end of August. I was told by the staff working that I was good to go and left after confirming I didn’t to do anything else. Checked in December after receiving a bill on my statement and called the gym for them to tell me that I still had an active membership. That’s more than $150 I was told couldn’t be refunded because I didn’t have a “document” proving the end of my membership.

I cancelled my membership through online support at their website. Yet they continue to bill me. This morning I spoke with a woman who called trying to collect a bill that shouldn’t exist. She said it was “member services” but cancelling the membership is not one of those services: they require you to physically go to the location which you specified on the app or website when you song up: or they simply keep billing you.
Obviously there no legitimate reason one cannot cancel through the app or online. This constitutes an unethical business practice as the intention is to bill for a service that isn’t being provided. I might have resumed my membership otherwise, but not with unethical crooks

Lots of equipment, but some equipment have been out of order for was too long which is a bummer especially when I'm in a hurry and gotta wait for the few that are working like the stair steppers and bicycles. Hope they get that fixed soon. Other then that it's my home gym and very clean, they do a good job of keeping the women's locker room and showers clean. Very friendly staff that are always fast to help or answer any issues.

I brought a friend in to look at the facility.It was late at night early in the morning. They tried to charge her twenty dollars to come to the facility. We let them know she has never been there. The woman rolled her eyes and said she will have to check her I.D. up on checking she could get a one day pass. While she was there, she received bad looks and condescending remarks. I went to the planet fitness elsewhere and we have a membership. Now. thanks for nothing. The area is sketch but Treat people with kindness and respect. It's not like you were doing anything else.

If something breaks, it stays broken for months. I also wish they would kick the people with no self awareness off the machines they are taking up without using. No reason to be doing dumbbell bench in the smith machine for an hour, and it's multiple people at all times of the day that do silly stuff like that

Terrible experience with this location. I cancelled my membership YEARS ago IN WRITING, IN PERSON and then years later (2023) after they drained what little I had in a side savings and I get a notice from my bank, I reach out MANY times asking for someone to get ahold of me to get this resolved, I hear excuse after excuse of who I need to get ahold of to take care of this with no resolution. I contact corporate and get told I have to talk to someone local and I explained, I would LOVE to talk to someone local but I’m getting no manager there and no one calls so call back again NOTHING. As of last month, I find out they had FINALLY cancelled my daughter’s account but continued to take money for my account that I requested to be closed in 2019. FOUR YEARS!!! I reach out AGAIN to both local and headquarters again…..NOTHING! I finally get ahold of someone who is willing to listen and is very understanding and sees there is an issue and will have the new manager call me. So no call today, so I call again and get the manager for the FIRST TIME in all the years and get told excuse after excuse and steps over his words blah blah even when I give names and dates and so on to PROVE my case, he wants to refund ONE MONTH. SERIOUSLY!! What a joke!! Be careful people!!!!! They will take all your hard earned money. Guess I should have just cancelled the account instead of thinking they would be honest and provide good customer service.

Super rude experience last night by this girl who acted like she had better things to do, didn't make any eye contact while she grunted no to my request, and treated my friend terrible. It seemed like she was training someone...sorry for that guy. This isn't the first time the staff has been disappointing. Bad customer service but I guess it's just a gym, right? I'm sure she is just having personal problems but still, leave it at the door and do your job.

Definitely did not feel the slogan vibes at this place. I've had nothing but problems with pf since I've started this account. The valley was at least semi friendly. Completely careless staff. I’ve had to talk to staff about people taking selfies and videos in the locker rooms 3 times and nothing is done about it. I’m not camera shy, but I have a major problem with being on someone’s Snapchat story while I’m changing in the locker room. They give people a “talking to”, and per staff, offenders are asked to be mindful of where they take their selfies, even though rules against this are posted in the locker room. This is just one of the several staff issues. I shouldn’t expect superior service from a $10/month membership, but it is unacceptable to allow this kind of thing to persist and not reprimand members.

I’ve been having issues with billing and called to get those resolved, knowing I’d need to speak to a manager (as I’ve been told by every other member who’s helped thus far). The girl who answered the phone took initiative, even though she wasn’t a manager, to look into my situation and help me navigate the issue. She was very kind and informative, and did what she could to help! I was also trying to switch my location, as I’ve moved to a new state. She gave me all the information I needed to do that. The person I spoke to on the phone prior and the gal at the gym in my new town told me that my needs couldn’t be solved by anyone but a manager. So, props to this gal for helping me out even though she wasn’t in a position of authority. She needs a raise!

Probably one of the cleanest planet fitness I've ever been to, which is a big bonus. I personally feel like it's a top crowded if you don't make a point to go super early, but still things to do. Definitely a lot more cardio machine than anything else.

I like the staff here. They are welcoming and friendly and chill unlike some of the ones in Bremerton, WA. And overall they do keep the place really clean which I appreciate due to the volume of people that frequent this location. I love that there's a ton of locations and they're standardized. Their billing and corporate policies are trash. They charge the annual fee the month after you sign up. The gym tells you talk to corporate if they bill you twice and corporate tells you to contact the gym. So I recommend just filing a complaint with your bank.
My bank said they get complaints all the time about Planet Fitness. They're also not military friendly but lots of their locations are near military bases. They require to cancel you present in person to your home gym. (For some locations and that's a nightmare if you get stationed overseas etc).
Update: They are planning to charge me my annual fee a second time and send me to collections. Corporate is saying it's my gym's problem and my gym is saying corporate handles it. I sent them my confirmation of cancellation and apparently my gym membership goes for more than a month after I cancelled. This whole thing is so messed up and scammy.

Planet fitness, they're open 24/7 and that includes the black card member spa. I love the hydromassage beds and there is always an open treadmill or elliptical. Friendly staff and a judgment free zone.

I go here 4 days a week the location on ASH St. (Minimum) Very clean, the locker room for the men could smell better!! But I get it sweaty BnA's I'm sure the women's smells like sweaty TnA's mixed with a floral arrangement. Equipment is all well functioning, pretty small staff, and I've never ever like seen any staff do an actual class or work out program with any of the member's. 🤔😬😑

I prefer the valley location over north side. Only reason I’m giving it two stars because at the north side, I have gone multiple times and every time I go the staff is condescending and the members are rude. I’m a 30 year old woman and was asked to “prove that I brought my “stunner shades” to use the tanning beds” I’ve been using the tanning beds for a long time at the valley side and they’ve never acted like I was a 12 year old who was going to stare into the sun if given the chance. In the same visit I had an older woman literally grab my paper towel out of my hand and said “I can wipe it down” and proceeded to take my equipment when I had just started my workout.I wipe down the machines before and after I use them so there may have been some confusion but instead of just yanking things out of other peoples hands maybe ask instead.

Overcrowded beyond belief. I have to be at work in the early mornings, and going after work is overwhelmingly busy, to the point i (and several other cars) will be scouring the parking lot for a parking spot.
Also, "some" of the other gym goers are far less than desirable, taking several machines, stealing machines, not cleaning up after themselves, and making people uncomfortable. while they are necessarily the majority, they make up a fair amount of my gym experience at pf. Some people were fantastic, and it was great to meet them. However the actions of the bad outweighed the good
+The staff is fine, no problems there, some better than others, but still no problems. I'd say i like the staff here more than the other location. (They're the reason it's 2 stars, not 1)
Overall, the price is not worth the inconvenience

As someone that uses planet fitness all over the country this location is a horrible example of what I have come to expect. If you want to do cardio great location, but if you want to do strength training greatly lower your expectations. The only training you're going to do is waiting in line.

Been coming for some time and love it. Justin is amazing! There would be 5 stars, but watch when you come or you get a rude and incompetent staff member. Conveniently she didn't have a name tag and refused to give it. When trying to book a tanning bed, she screwed up and instead of a bed tried a booth, and then refused to fix it. Then booking everyone else when she was called on her mistake. Clearly she shouldn't be left alone or work here at all. Definitely will be making sure to not book anything when she's working.

There are great things about planet fitness and there are not great things about the whole planet fitness concept.
2 top things I enjoy about it are :
1. The concept/idea that everyone is welcome regardless of fitness level and body composition.
2. The fact that I can use any planet fitness in the country at anytime as I travel a lot.
The main thing I do not enjoy about planet fitness is more of a personal issue.
Going back to the "everyone is welcome" concept.
I 100% understand what gym-intimadtion is. I'm a mountain guide and a big part of my job is to provide the security and unbiased leadership and encouragement to my clients regardless of their abilities so that they can focus and accomplish their goals.
I want to believe that this is the concept behind planet fitness' "lunk alarm" and signage.
However, i feel that it is very sexist as all signs depict a man; grunting, dropping weights and drinking from a gallon jug all while wearing a "lifting" tank top.
While I agree that, that image could be intimidating to some... It is not the normal clientele at PF.
"Gym bros" or "lunks" simply do not choose planet fitness to workout at.
What I do see and often find offensive and sometimes intimidating (sometimes get an evil eye if anyone remotely glances their way) but often more just frustrating, than anything are the young Instagram women wearing hardly anything at the gym, taking over sections/machines and creating their little mean girls club.
I see the same reaction from mostly other women ... It is often the reaction of intimidation and often "normal" women avoid the whole area where these IG "models " (most don't really workout at all) take over.
Guys avoid it because we just don't want to hear it from them if we simply want to know when/if they're done with a machine.
So, in conclusion. If you're going to stereotype a "lunk" and single men out, I believe that you should do the same for the half naked IG club of mean girls intimidating the clubs by taking over sections and hindering others' workouts.

Second update. This planet fitness has improved significantly. Plus two stars, total four stars after today's workout.
Quick rundown, the staff is friendly! Jasmine quickly and easily help me get the hydro massage! That's what I come for, remember? The whole place was clean. The showers were clean. The TV I used worked great. The shower pressure was low. There was a musty smell in the shower room. Room for improvement! Thank you to the owners for doing better.
I recommend this planet fitness for your workout! I am happy to keep coming here. I hope to see it improve to excellent.

I asked the attendant how I could share my comments with management. She told me that she had put it ticket in for the lack of CNN channel and lack of volume on the other CNN channel. The answer is no, I do not know how to share a comment with management. I will be happy to and of course I will update my review at that time.

Today's experience was less then stellar. I usually leave five stars for everything I rate. Please see my notes There was no CNN on the main bank of TVs. The volume did not work on the secondary bank of TVs. Minus 1 star. This is important to me. I got little, very little help from the staff. She wouldn't even agree to report the TV problem. Her point was that Somebody else comes to set up the TVs. After she didn't answer my question as to whether she would report it, I asked directly. Will you report it or not? She agreed to report it. Minus 0 points anyone can have a bad day or a bad attitude so what! It was very difficult to sign up for the hydro massage. I had to scan my card five times, she asked me to keep it out cuz I had to scan it again. She asked multiple times if I had a black card, clearly I did since I was able to sign in. 😞 , I usually get great service. Today, not so much. Maybe next time. Minus one point on the difficulty hitting a hydro massage. That is also important to me.
The massage chairs were off limits. Some equipment not working meh, report it. Lots of equipment not working combined with marginal service and an overall poor experience equals minus three points total. I hope someone is listening.
