This is the best gym I have ever been to, everyday I come here I’m filled with rainbows and fuzzy kitten feelings. Great staff, good environment, the employees are supppeeerrrr good looking!!!! My brother lost weight here. And Alondra the assistant manager is an amazing help and person she’s kind and sweet to all her staff. I’ve never had any issues or have heard any complaints with her if there’s ever an issue or financial issues she handles it with the utmost professionalism and kindness and grace!!!!! I actually would stop going her and quit paying my membership if she left. Highly recommend 1000/10!!!

This is a nice gym.The only issue I have is that every shower faucet in the mens locker room is broken.It is very difficult to control the water temperature.It seems to be like this every time I go in .I will no longer go here for this only reason.

This place is awesome! I started going here about a month and a half ago after I started to become increasingly unhappy with my fitness level (or lack thereof) and my weight. Alex signed me up and was very encouraging the day I signed up. Since I started I’ve lost almost 10 lbs & have gained a good bit of muscle. I can’t wait to keep going & keep up that trend. All the employees are fantastic, but I run into Alex & the morning shift the most. Having friendly, encouraging employees like them are a significant part of what gets me going to the gym, whether it’s at 5 am before work or on the weekends. I have attended planet fitness in multiple locations, and unfortunately felt singled out at this location and borderline harassed. I followed the dress code posted online as well as for this particular club location (they have a separate dress code) and was told that I could not wear a sports bra and sweat pants. Unfortunately when I asked where in the dress code this was listed, none of the staff members could show me where this was listed. I was told to “look online”, and the Planet Fitness website specifically states that my attire followed dress code. Other male members were wearing muscle shirts and “stringers” and were not approached to change their attire, but I was. I am a healthcare provider simply trying to get in a workout while serving one of the small hospitals nearby. I am disappointed in the way this was handled, and felt like I was being unnecessarily harassed and discriminated against for being a woman in a sports bra.

Super Chill Manager and workers. Always clean and working equipment. Should get rid of some cardio machines like bikes, treadmills, and add new equipment like the new machines or free press benches. Most of the time these cardio machines aren't being use but equipment likes cables, smith machines and, dumbbells are always busy and being used! I’m a new member here (1 month). I have a lot of disabilities. The staff at Sunnyside is amazing. They are very cheerful, energetic, and helpful especially with guidance on machines that I can use without injuring myself further. They all seem really happy to be here. It’s a very special environment. The whole gym is wonderfully sanitary, machines and locker room are extremely clean . I have been traveling over the summer and attending different planet fitness locations and it blew my mind to see how well taken care of the Sunnyside location is compared to other locations! Sunnyside’s facility is always spotless and every time I come in the employees are cleaning. The employees are also very welcoming and make it a point to say hi to everyone who comes in. Really enjoy my weekday mornings at Planet Fitness in Sunnyside, Maria and the rest of the morning Staff do a great job of keeping the gym clean and comfortable. My only complaint would be a lack of some of the equipment that already exists in the gym. I come early on days when I use the Hammer Strength Smith machine, so my chances to find one that isn't occupied are better. I do aerobics every day for at least 30 minutes right in front of the Smith machines and witness several people during that time walk past to see if any of the equipment is available, more often than not, they have to find something else to workout on. I would really like to see additional Smith machines in the gym, to replace aerobic equipment that is seldom used. Keep up the Great Work STAFF!!!

UPDATE: 09/23 lately I've noticed several broken shower heads that are not being repaired. Also staff ignores my concerns about young men apparently hooking up in the bathroom stalls and the shower stalls. This is creepy and should be dealt with. Original review: Friendly staff. Very clean environment and lots of equipment. I've belonged to a lot of fitness clubs and this one is working hard to be one of the best. Highly recommended if you don't need free Olympic iron for the big lifts. They're not allowed here. But I have a cage and Olympic set up at home so I don't miss it. Great atmosphere to get started on your fitness journey.

First time there, tried to use tanning bed but it only set for 2 minutes, when I went to get the person working the front desk to fix it, he had to walk me back there to put in a code but then didnt know the code, I waited for more than 10 min while he went to ask someone but then was just chit chatting with another guy out working. The amenities and equipment are never properly maintained. The massage beds are currently out of order and only one hydro massage lounger is operating there are several of the machines for workouts none functional ie. Row machines are down,several tredmills are out of order as well as 3 or more Alypticals there is no reason. This is unacceptable. I pay monthly to have a clean and fully functional gym to use.. amenities included.. and yet the money to have equipment repaired isn't being used.. Management needs to get on point and start doing their job. This has been an ongoing Issue for several weeks I am fed up. You can take my money without hesitation but don't provide the services advertised?
