I've been a member for about 3 1/2 months. I'm amazed at how good I feel. I'm appreciative of the consistency and quality of coaching I have received. I've made progress in gaining strength and confidence without injury. The lack of injury is a major goal at my "senior" stage of life.
I've never worked with a personal trainer before. It has been a great experience.
Thank you to Erik, Devin and Charisma.

Progressive Performance has been life changing. I have had a very hard time finding a workout plan or a gym that could help me with spotty success. The lovely trainers at PP welcoming and kind, always offering proper guidance, accommodating for any physical challenges, and challenging me when they see I can handle more :) They create a culture of community with everyone at the gym, when we end up making acquaintances and friendships, and all of this put together makes it so I look forward to going every time.

I have had a positive experience training at Progressive Performance Kirkland. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. And they work thoughtfully with clients to help them reach their goals. I have been working out to keep myself active in the winter and prepared to hike/backpack in the summer. I recently went on a challenging backpacking trip and felt very strong. Also, the gym is very clean and equipment is nice.

I initially signed up solo in hopes this sort of program would help me be more consistent with working out and have me feeling and looking better before getting married next summer. After the first workout I absolutely loved it. It is the only time I have ever looked forward to working out. My fiancé decided to try it out with their free month trial (a special referral deal) and now my mom has signed up as well. We all feel so great after each session. It is expensive (compared to a normal public gym membership) but I have found it so worth it. We do the small group classes and I think I enjoy it more than I would 1-1 private training. It is just the right amount of attention for a workout; my form is corrected often and I also am told when I am doing something very well, but I don’t feel hovered over. Highly recommend!! I am only on my 7th class and I can see and feel the difference already.

Had a weird exchange there in that they won't talk to you by phone. I wanted to get a couple of questions answered but they refused to speak to me unless I came to them in person. Have to presume that they do a hard sell to customers once inside.

I first trained at Progressive Performance Strength and Fitness over a decade ago—it was my introduction to strength training, and a great one. After some time away due to life and schedule changes, I recently returned, and I’m so glad I did.
This facility is clean, welcoming, and professional. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and attentive. They take time to ensure proper form (which keeps me safe and progressing) and can easily modify workouts for injuries or limitations. Scheduling is incredibly flexible, which is essential for my busy lifestyle.
What stands out most is the atmosphere—everyone is working at their own pace, but there’s a shared energy that keeps you going. It’s not a group class, but you’re surrounded by people who inspire you.
As someone in her 50s, I’ve noticed significant improvements in my flexibility, core strength, and range of motion thanks to their programming. I appreciate being encouraged without pressure.
Progressive is a fantastic gym for anyone looking to start or return to fitness with expert support.

Joining this gym has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and well-being. It’s small group personal training, but it truly feels like one-on-one coaching. The coaches take the time to get to know you—your goals, your strengths, your limitations—and they tailor every workout to meet you where you are.
What really sets this gym apart is how personal the experience feels. You're not just another face in the crowd. The coaches remember your name, your progress, and even check in on how you're doing outside of the gym. There’s a real sense of community here—everyone supports each other, and the environment is incredibly welcoming, whether you're brand new to fitness or have years of experience under your belt.
I’ve seen people at all fitness levels thrive here. For beginners, the coaches break things down clearly and make sure you feel confident with the movements. For more experienced members, they still keep a close eye on your form and push you to grow, always making sure you're moving correctly and safely. If you're dealing with injuries or limitations, they’re quick to adjust the workout in a way that still challenges you without causing harm.
They strike that perfect balance between encouraging you and pushing you. You leave every workout feeling stronger—not just physically, but mentally too—because you know you gave it your all, and someone was there believing in you every step of the way.
If you're looking for a place where you'll be seen, supported, and challenged in all the right ways, this is it.

Progressive Performance in Kirkland has been an absolutely fantastic experience for our whole family! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and supported. The trainers are knowledgeable, encouraging, and truly care about helping each of us reach our individual fitness goals.
What sets Progressive Performance apart is their personalized approach. They took the time to understand each of our needs and created tailored workout plans that were challenging yet achievable. My wife and daughter have so much more confidence and is truly great to see as both a husband and father. They both have seen significant improvements in strength training. I love the attention to detail from the coaches and have seen my deadlift, squat and bench drastically improve. Having a bad day, go workout with Progressive Performance and leave full of energy and motivation!
The facility itself is clean, well-equipped, and has a great atmosphere. It's not intimidating at all, which was important to us as a family with varying fitness levels. We also appreciate the flexibility in scheduling and the clear communication from the team.
Progressive Performance is more than just a gym; it's a supportive community that has made a real difference in our family's health and well-being. We highly recommend them to anyone in the Kirkland area looking for a positive and effective fitness experience.

Progressive Performance has been so life changing to our family! I started in June of 2024 and then shortly after my husband and then our adult autistic daughter both started. We absolutely love that they keep their training sessions to 7 people and that you always have a trainer watching to give you direction on form and how to make your workout more effective and efficient. In turn that prevents injuries while working out. It’s like having a personal trainer at all times in the gym. We also love that all the trainers either have degrees or are working on degrees in areas like exercise science, kinesiology, physical therapy and they are also constantly going through training from the owners. This is the first time any of us, but especially our daughter, has stayed consistent and really enjoyed working out. We are all feeling stronger and more confident! We absolutely love our gym family at Progressive Performance! Pic of food pantry charity workout from Thanksgiving morning!

I've been going to Progressive Performance for about 15 months now and it's been a game changer for me. There's always enough parking, I can get into the class sessions I want, and it's a comfortable mix of friendly but not over the top energy for me. It's definitely a financial investment but you get what you pay for. In this case it's practically personal training (cap of 7 ppl per class) by well trained staff who take their role seriously and know what they are talking about. They remember your name and text you a nudge if you miss a week but don't make you feel bad when you come back. They push you a little harder than you would yourself and tailor workouts to your needs.
When I started coming here I'd lost some weight and wanted to get back into playing basketball which I'd not been able to do for ten years. After a few months I started playing and could only make it up and down the court a few times. This month I'm finishing up my fourth season and can play the entire game and feel better physically than I had in a really long time. Went from getting very winded going up stairs to being able to go on hikes without my back hurting and I may have lifted my 12 year old son at the park today to help him reach something 💪😅

This place is pretty great! In only 3 months, I've significantly improved my physical and cardiovascular health. The trainers at the gym are very knowledgeable and supportive. They've individualized my workouts to help keep me exercising while working around numerous physical ailments that have caused all my attempts in recent years to get in shape to fail. It is relatively expensive compared to a standard gym, but, so far, it has been well worth the cost given all I have gotten out of it.

My rather vague notions about what I might accomplish by joining a gym have been turned into gratifying achievements in the 9 months I’ve been going to Progressive Performance. At 77, I’m never going to be strong like I was at 25 or 40 or 60, but I have regained real confidence in how my body will support the activities I so want to continue — hiking, camping, long road trips, and more. At Progressive Performance, I’m learning and practicing exercises that ensure I’ll do so.

I've been a member of PP in Kirkland for 7 weeks now. I experienced a shoulder injury ~7 months ago due to poor form lifting in another gym. My Dr. recommended surgery, I opted for physical therapy which helped but was not sufficient. That's when I found PP and my recovery, strength and mobility has accelerated - I could not be happier! Jimmy, Ellen and all the coaches are incredible and there is a true sense of community at the gym I have not experienced else where. Every coach knows your personal situation, goals and is there to ensure correct form and tailor your routine to optimize results (even in the small group sessions).

This is an amazing environment whether you want to get healthy or take your performance to the next level. It's a great environment with all the space and equipment you need. The workouts are organized and structured so you can immediately dive in. It's a small group environment so you can collaborate and encourage - or focus on your own workout. But most importantly, the coaches and trainers make sure you are doing your exercises correctly - from form to technique. Hats off to Jimmy and crew!

I joined PP about a month ago before the Fall adult hockey season. The small group setting, supportive coaches and variety of well thought out exercise sequences has translated well into feeling strong during game play. I enjoy the personal attention to details, emphasis towards corrective form, and building a foundation. All while safely being challenged to grow by a knowledgable staff. The self-serve scheduling platform is easy to use and helpful in planning the workouts within the work and home schedule. Highly recommend to boost your strength and durability towards your favorite activities!

Progressive Performance is entirely a different kind of gym experience than I’ve had before. Historically, I might’ve gone to a gym that had all the machines and all the Pilates stuff and honestly never used it. I really appreciate the focus that Progressive Performance brings through their coaches, small group training and workouts that change frequently! Friendly and focused community of members.
As a large person most of my life, I really appreciate a recent experience where I was at a concert dancing around and the seat behind me flipped up, and I didn’t know it . When I went to sit down, ended up in a very deep squat position and was able to just stand right back up without help and I can tell you before joining progressive performance, I would’ve needed help to get up or would’ve hurt myself -might seem small but very tangible progress.

I used to go to one of those big, fancy gyms, but didn’t enjoy it and didn’t see much progress, not even with a trainer. And didn’t miss it at all when I quit, since I am fairly active with hiking and around the house/yard. When my doctor suggested weight training at my check-up to counteract bone loss, I was not happy. Then a friend suggested I’d try Progressive Performance.
This place is different. I love the holistic approach, the coaches are fun, kind and very knowledgeable. They are so attentive and give very helpful feedback regarding form and always have an alternative exercises if my knee (or other body parts) have problems with certain movements. With coaches who encourage me to challenge myself and then celebrate my achievements along with me and the small group sessions that takes away the anonymity, Progressive Performance is such a friendly, safe and supportive environment. I never thought it would possible to enjoy gym sessions, but I really do!
I joined 10 months ago, and could see results within a couple of weeks. Since then I have gained so much more strength, fitness, better posture and feel a lot healthier. It also reflects on my daily life, my balance has increased, making hiking a lot easier, and being able to lift more weight has come in very handy for any type of yard work.
Thank you, Jimmy and team, you are the best!

I absolutely love Progressive Performance! Two years ago I had a very serious health event that limited what I could do at the gym safely. I’ve always been a member of a gym and tried a personal trainer at my previous gym. They didn’t understand my limitations and I felt very discouraged if anyone would truly get what I can and can’t do anymore. A friend at work told me about Progressive Performance, so I met with Jimmy who actually tested my limitations at the consultation. He cared. Now that I have been going here for 2-3 months, I have come to trust every trainer at this facility. This is one of the best things I could have done for myself! There’s only one you and you deserve this!

Progressive performance has helped me take my strength training to the next level. I have tried my gyms over the past 6 years and always had lower back and neck issues post workouts. After I started training at PP it never happened. This is only because the coaches are very well versed with the moves and suggest what I was doing wrong. I really like the small group set up where the instructor focuses on the form vs the weight. Group work outs change every fortnight and are planned really well. They even suggest if we can go higher in weight for the next set. I was able to complete my endurance goal successfully and less post impacts with PP help.

Incredible personal trainers! Let me tell you, they've been an absolute game-changer for me as a touring rock musician. I ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND Progressive Performance!! I have struggled with weight issues my whole life and have a family history of diabetes type II and lost both my father and brother to heart attacks way too soon and largely due denial of health issues. After losing my brother, as I was already pre-diabetic and on medication for hypertension, this was a wake up call to turn things around. In addition changing my mindset and eating habits and seeking medical assistance, I decided I needed a trainers help and more general focus on core strengthening exercises. Getting a membership to a basic gym with excessive cardio machines and lack luster training just wasn’t going to cut it, and it hadn’t for 42 years prior to this. I realized I had to look for something better. My first cue that Progressive Performance was the best place to be was my first meeting. They want to interview with you and make sure they can do their best to help YOU!! And that your goals are truly something they can help with. It isn’t just about sell sell sell like those basic gyms. But about your realistic goals for your personal wellness. I scheduled 30min 1/week sessions with a trainer where we would review exercises that included weights at home that I already had or items that I could easily obtain to make working out at home on the regular EASY and FUN! My trainer Avery is amazing! Jimmy, the owner, is an inspiration. Penny, his dog, always welcomes me to the gym. Recently, after a meeting with my doctor and finding out that I can stop taking hypertension medication, 10 points down on my BMI, 90 lbs down and NO LONGER PRE-DIABETIC, I couldn’t wait to tell the Progressive Performance team!!! It is coming up on the first anniversary of my brothers passing and I have turned so much around in a year and my experience at Progressive Performance has been instrumental. Definitely recommend if you’re ready to see real change and ready to do the work.

If you don't love gyms...no problem! Don't like to flex your muscles in public...no problem! Don't like to look at yourself in all those mirrors...you're covered there too! When you join Progressive Performance, it's unlike any other gym you'll walk into. First - the classes are small so you really get one-on-one training for group pricing. Second - the trainers are amazing and fun and will make sure you're doing all the moves correctly. Third - if you've never lifted before and you can only lift 5 lbs to start but feel a little intimated about going to a gym, you won't here! They support you from wherever your starting point is and you will be amazed at how strong you become over the months.
I HIGHLY recommend them. When I started 2-1/2 years ago, my first month I thought, when my trial month is over I'm not coming back who wants to lift weights? Well apparently I do because I've been coming ever since 2-3x per week and I LOVE IT! I've never said that about exercise ever! I love the team, I love the camaraderie that develops with the other members and that keeps me motivated to show up. Because once you start coming and then don't show up, everyone wonders where you are which makes you not feel like just another number. So stop thinking and start doing this with Progressive Performance!!

I’m so happy I joined Progressive Performance. I was not a fan of gyms before, but felt that the program at Progressive Performance was just the right thing for me. Working with a trainer in a very small group and getting the benefit of personal attention is amazing. All the trainers are professional, patient, enthusiastic and encourage the participants to get healthier and stronger. When trying to work out on my own, I was not able to stick with any program. At Progressive Performance I know someone is waiting for me to help me get healthier and invest in my health.
Thank you Jimmy, Ellen, Bryce and Avery!!

I joined as a person with chronic knee issues and a constant pain level of around 7 on a 10-point scale. Since getting on their program in earnest over the last 4+ weeks - including gym days, circuit days, and meal/macro work - I've had more success with Progressive Performance than I've had with any other program I've been on. I've had aesthetic changes to my body (fat loss, muscle gain, etc.), but more importantly my knee pain now peaks at around a 2, and most days it's a 1 or none at all!
I've done numerous trainers and numerous programs over the years, but none as effective for my needs as what Jimmy, Bryce, Avery, and the rest of team at Progressive Performance have helped me achieve in my short time with them thus far. I could not recommend them more.

just started at this gym, coaches are amazing and really focus on giving individual attention during small group sessions. always helpful with fitness and nutrition questions and i never feel like im working out in an impersonal environment. the owner always checks up on us and encourages us along with the rest of the coaches. fiding this gym really kick started my long overdue journey back into fitness and taking control over my health.
