I really enjoy all the coaches at the Woodinville location. All of them are friendly and attentive and know their stuff when it comes to what exercise to do and how to swap or change it if you have an injury etc. The participants are also friendly and built a community with each other.

They also have an amazing dog!

I went there for half a year and this week was my last week! It was a great experience overall.
The coaches are friendly but take time to guide you where it matters most (posture), challenge you to do more or to take it easy based on how you’re exercising.
The gym has a weekly rotational menu of 6 different types of exercises, each helping different parts of your body. You can pick what you menu you want, but you can just rely on them to tell you which menu you should go with that day.

You book your 45 min session slot (2x or 3x a week) in advance from an app, and each slots have a max of 7 people. I’ve done sessions where I was alone, and some where they were full. The amount of help you need isn’t necessarily affected by the amount of people, as most people already know what to do - they spend more time on new members, while checking an eye on the more experienced and correcting or advising those when needed.
I think most times for me (4pm session) it averaged about 4-5 people - but I’m sure there are really busy time slots.
You can book a couple of weeks in advance from the app - and if you need to cancel or reschedule on the day of, you can simply text them and they’ll help out.

Yes it’s not cheap… But this worked for me better overall as instead of “maybe” going to a $50/mo gym (because I know I would procrastinate) with bad posture and exercises, I knew my session was a commitment or my $40-$50 is gone; And I knew I would learn something out of it.
The 45 mins really worked out for me. It’s not too much of a time commitment during your busy day. And if you were going to a regular gym, you’d probably spend a good 10-15 min figuring out what to do on an app or YouTube video… at least I would.

In terms of personalization, it is quite fantastic - I mentioned they have 6 rotational session menus, but they’ll customize the heck out of it depending on your circumstances. I broke my wrist in January, and they created a menu for a fast recovery and strengthening too! 4 months later I’m back to doing pull-ups despite having 6 screws in my wrist.

If you want a good foundation for working out, this is the place to go.
If you need the motivation to work out, this is the place to go.
If you want to have workout buddies in a friendly environment, this is also a good place to go, though you could have something similar elsewhere.

They provide free consultation before joining, so if you’re on the fence, I’d recommend checking them out. It may or may not be for you, just depends on what you’re looking for.

Happy lifting!

I've been coming to this gym for about 7 months. Started from a place of no exercise except occassional walks. Recently I had a treadmill test for my heart where they ramp up the speed and incline every 60 seconds. I passed with flying colors but was most amazed when they told me I lasted twice as long as average for my age group! Knowledgeable staff, small groups, and everyone is SO friendly!

I like how the workouts progress over time, provide different challenges, and allow you to see improvements. I even lost 15 lbs doing one of the fat loss challenges. I have been a member of many gyms over the years, but nothing compares to the experience at Progressive Performance. The facility itself is well-organized, and equipped with everything you need for strength training, functional fitness, or general conditioning.

What really sets this gym apart are the trainers. They’re knowledgeable, motivating, and genuinely invested in your progress. Each workout is thoughtfully tailored to meet your individual goals, whether you're looking to build strength, recover from an injury, or simply stay in shape. The trainers are always willing to share tips, provide corrective feedback, and encourage you to push past your limits—safely, of course!

The community vibe here is also fantastic. It's a welcoming, positive environment where everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes feels comfortable. If you’re serious about reaching your fitness goals, Progressive Performance is where you need to be. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

Great space with trainers who care about what you're working toward. I was a COVID casualty. I overate, gained weight, and was generally a physical mess. I have been to quite a few gyms over the last few years but this is hands down the best one if you want an effective and sustainable way to exercise and gain strength. I joined the gym with a pretty bad knee. I had trouble even with bodyweight squats and sometimes going down stairs. I am in my early 30s and I injured it 5 years ago in a different gym. I have felt more progress here than I had through many physiotherapy sessions. Coaches are very attentive to your unique situations, care about the progress and even have plans where you can get specialized programs. I can see the progress I'm making here and it is very rewarding. Community within the gym is great too. Overall I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone.

The gym is a place I can go to that's a stress relief and a way to get me out of the house. But it doesn't feel like a chore or an obligation. I look forward to going, to interacting with the coaches and other members. It's a supportive community of other people who are working towards the same goals and celebrate each other's achievements.
Going into the gym, I had two big goals. One was to develop consistent healthy habits - getting used to an exercise regimen and clean up my diet. I've been consistent with both since I started, and I overall feel such an improvement in my health. My other goal was to start getting stronger so I don't get as hurt at work. I've also noticed a substantial difference with this - not just at work, but in my day to day life.

After giving birth to my son, I saw a significant decline in my overall fitness and I was constantly in pain - back ache, shoulder ache, knee ache - I developed mommy shoulders syndrome, and the recovery to my pre-baby fitness level, was slow, sporadic and de-motivating. However, thanks to Curtis and the PP team, there has been a significant improvement in my posture, physical strength & stamina since my initial evaluation. The best thing about the coaches is that they help correct your form, tailor the plan to focus on the areas that are the weakest for you, and ensure u never unintentionally injure yourself. I have never been a “gym” person, and aimlessly working out without a plan or guidance is not my thing, so I am truly thankful for the support and guidance I get at this place.

Don’t think twice, just sign up! You will not regret it. The environment is super inclusive, all ages, shapes, sizes and abilities are welcome. The coaches are amazing- they’re true experts, so knowledgeable and supportive and just all around great people. The small group format is perfect- exactly what I need for a quick and efficient workout, with just enough oversight and accountability to keep me committed and coming back. I’m a busy mom of three young kids and have never lifted weights before- I can’t tell you how much better, stronger and healthier I feel after just a few months. Being able to run, play and keep up with my kids is priceless. I’m so glad I found Progressive Performance! A+!

I absolutely love Progressive Performance! The trainers are amazing and the sense of community is second to none. I recently had a total knee replacement and if I hadn't been here working out, getting stronger my recovery would have been much more difficult. Instead I was back in the gym in less than a month (just for upper body). Loved that Ellen asked me to connect her with my PT so that she can work what is approved back into my training. They care about YOU, not just having bodies in the gym.

I really appreciate Progressive Performance Gym! Over the years, I have joined 5 different gyms. They worked on and off, then I stopped going. Then I found Progressive Performance Gym! I am hooked!!!! I have been coming here for over 2 years now! I workout 3-4 times a week, depending on my schedule. I plan my workouts using an easy app and I know when I have them scheduled and it's like another meeting that is FUN to attend!!! I love that I choose when I work out and since it's a specific time, I attend on time and get my workout done. The structure is so very helpful for me.

The workout sessions are for 7 to 10 people depending on the time of day. There is always space to do my workout and use the equipment easily. It feels like I have a personal trainer the whole time, because the coaches check in with me when I walk in and make sure I have the info and equipment I need for my workout. They are always walking around the gym and checking in with each of us. Answering questions, helping with modifications or just cheering us on. They watch my form and correct me if I am not in alignment. If I am tired or sore or hurt myself mowing my lawn, before coming into my workout, the coaches will suggest modifications so I am pain free and am still successful completing my workout.

I feel like I can ask any question and I get consistent answers from each coach. They have a workout on the wall for arms or legs or full body and they will help modify the workout so I can do the exercises successfully. I feel so good coming here and have met some great friends! They do charity workouts periodically for the community. They organize hikes or get togethers and it's really fun!

All the coaches, Jimmy, Ellen, Curtis, Bryce, Avery and Penny are all knowledgeable, caring and just wonderful!

Thank you Progressive Performance Family!!!! I am so glad I found you in Kirkland!!!

I have been working out at this gym for almost a full year now and I have had a great experience. My favorite part is all the feedback I get while working out. The coaches Avery and Maya always give me very useful feedback about my posture at every class. With their help I now feel more confident and safe. I have learned so much from them. I used to injured myself so easily in other gyms but here, they have taught me proper form to avoid injuries.

I’m writing to update my review of Progresive Progressive almost 18 mos now.

I want to give a big thank you to all the staff for the support they have given me. Honestly, I have not felt this strong since my 20’s. I especially want to say thank you to Avery who really helped me believe in myself and allowed me to get a PR yesterday, despite me thinking it was not possible. She encouraged me to add more weight, pay attention to my form, push through, and told me despite it being difficult, she knew I could do it. I was at 235 lbs for my deadlift (which is a lot for my 150 lbs), and was hoping to get to 240. She encouraged me to push myself, which I did, and I got to 250! I love the support of Progressive Performance, and just wanted to share that!

Performance as I have been a member for performance is an amazing gym with very supportive staff. They will help you reach your exercise goals, and support you along the way. The best!

Highly recommend Progressive Performance! It’s great for anyone looking to increase strength, but it is especially perfect for someone looking to grow comfort, skill and independence with weight training. You show up and there are 6 workouts to choose from. You pick your workout and independently do the exercises on the list. So simple, but the experience of small group and still “on your own” + the MOST supportive, helpful, knowledgeable coaches keeping an eye and giving tips.. it’s all around genius! The gym community is wonderful… strong without being intimidating.

The ownership is top notch, truly truly invested in their clients.

Couldn’t appreciate and admire this company and strength training model more!

I started and stopped going to conventional big-box gyms many times over the years, until I was introduced to Progressive Performance by my yogi friend (who is a long-time yoga instructor too). I started in October and oh, speak of progressive performance!! I feel stronger, more energetic and my yoga practice has improved dramatically, to my surprise. I can also dance longer and with more bounce. Surprisingly, my recovery is easy (thanks to the well-thought of workout sequences). Well, going to any gym is much better than not going, but at PP I get personalized attention - the trainers don’t just know you by name, they remember what weights you used for what last time, what workout to do best today, they notice and correct minuscule form issues. With up to 7 people in each session you are always getting enough attention. And there is a sense of community I really enjoy. It is truly neighborhood gym. I also appreciate the holistic approach to health - diet, supplements. Most of all, it is fun! Fun to be surrounded by people to love themselves enough to want to be healthy and strong and to share that love with others.

I plan on keeping my membership since I actually go to the gym with this plan and I already feel stronger.

My son and I have been using Progressive Performance for around four months. I really like the experience, but for entirely different reasons for the two of us.

For me, I've needed to train but have found myself really disinterested in planning workouts. I would develop one or two routines, go for a while, get bored, and then quit. At Progressive Performance they have six curated workouts: Bench, Squat, Deadlift, Body Building, Full-Body A, and Full-Body B. There's something for anyone every day of every week, depending on your goals. Staff change the workouts every two weeks, so it doesn't really get stale, and I learned just this week there is a macro-scale cycle influencing the structure of the workouts with the intent of maximizing our performance. That aside, I look forward to seeing what the new workouts look like. The coaches check in with everyone on their form and provide feedback as necessary. All of that keeps me engaged. I'll also add the coaches are quite engaged with clients, so if you're dealing with an old or new injury, they can customize any of the workouts on the fly to help you deal with a limitation while still making progress toward meeting your goals.

For my son, he was motivated to get stronger so he could compete better against kids who are mostly bigger than he is. He had zero experience in the gym prior. Through all of the coaches he's learning the correct way to perform essential movements. He's also gotten stronger, and through plyometric movements they prescribe on top of the weight training, even more athletic. I'll also add the participated in a Speed Camp they put on. Learned a ton, made new friends, and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience.

I'll also add the look and feel of the gym is probably best described as purposeful. It was clearly built with a focus on results. There aren't a lot of extras...it's the stuff you need to get more fit in a safe and reasonable manner. The real value is in the knowledge and support Jimmy, Ellen, Curtis, Bryce, Avery and the gym community provide.

If you are like me, who

- Learned Indian Classical dance all through their childhood and teenage-hood
- Ran a half-marathon and was obsessed with running for 10 years
- Had neck injury during a club pilates session and went into 6 months of physical therapy
- Had spraind their ankle at least 2-3 times while walking and then went into 6 months of physical therapy for rolling ankles.
- Has never been able to do strength training on their own

Then, you definitely need strength training under an attentive and caring trainer, and you will find that at Progressive.

There may be other gyms where you can work out and other trainers, but you won't find a gym/trainer who will address you by your name when you drag yourself through the door for your workout.

This is not just an amazing gym, it’s a community of both coaches and members that assist you in becoming the strongest version of yourself through your health and fitness journey. I’ve been a member now for 4 years and I wouldn’t trust anyone other than Jimmy and his amazing team to assist me with achieving my health & fitness goals. I’ve done it all- Orange Theory, personal trainers, big gyms etc and this is the only gym I’ve stuck with for longer than a year. Their personalized approach, one on one attention & passion for helping others is world class. I’m a fairly active person having completed marathons and triathlons in the past so I have a very high standard of the fitness industry that Progressive Performance has exceeded for me. I’ve also had my share of injuries that the coaches have worked through with me. Honestly if it wasn’t for them I probably would have given up. I love that the community is a diverse group of individuals from all fitness levels that truly care about one another- when was the last time you experienced that from a gym? Wether it’s preparing for a competition, working through an injury, winning a fat loss challenge or just becoming the strongest version of you - Jimmy and his team I promise will deliver!

I am happy I came here to reboot my fitness program, increase my energy level, and become stronger. It’s a supportive community that helps me customize my training sessions based on my ability. There is a sense of comfort, friendliness, and encouragement when you walk in the door. This place is beautiful and clean, and the ambiance is always positive and motivating.

My favorite parts of the gym are the trainers and equipment. Jimmy, Ellen, Bryce, Curtis, Logan, and Dylan have been encouraging, knowledgeable, and patient with me. I love their enthusiasm and professionalism. They are very caring and attentive to proper movements and check up on me regularly to see how I feel physically.

My most significant achievement has been my consistency in my workouts. I love their online scheduling platform, which lets me prioritize my workouts, commit to my appointments, and show up. I aim to prioritize my health and fitness and structure my week around it. I’ve consistently attended two weight training sessions & 1-2 cardio sessions per week for the past six weeks and aim to build momentum, stay consistent over time, and become leaner and stronger in the process.

I am excited about this journey with my Progressive Performance tribe.

The coaches at Progressive are knowledgeable & genuine. After getting diagnosed with a physically limiting disability, I was constantly worried that exercise would continue to lead to injury. I can confidently (and happily) say that I’ve been major injury free for the almost 2 years I’ve been training with the coaches at Progressive!

HIGHLY recommend this place regardless of what shape you’re in or background you have. These guys are awesome, if you tell them your goals they will find every which way to help you achieve them and in the most welcoming and personal manner too. I’ve never really had a sense of confidence in the gym until I started coming here. It’s been close to a year, I am in the best shape of my life, but I have learned SO much from them and I still continue to learn new things and achieve new goals each time I come in. I am also someone who lives a very chaotic life with a very hectic work schedule, and everyone here has found different ways and solutions to help me and work with me to achieve my goals regardless, from the first day I walked through the door. Such a warm and welcoming environment with wonderful coaches, I love it here. Thank you so much!!!

Although I rarely, literally RARELY write reviews I felt it was necessary to do so to let others knows how incredible Progressive Performance (PP) is. Unfortunately, this is a little long (trust me shorter than what it was pre-edit) I had to edit this to shorten my thoughts which was SO hard given how much I LOVE THIS PLACE! So here it goes….
To call this place a gym is actually a disservice. It is so so much more! This is a gym with top notch coaches and very clean and sanitized (so important in our Covid world) it is also a center where everyone feels comfortable and part of a team…ummm actually a FAMILY. While they offer 1:1 sessions, I have signed up for the small group training program. Having said that, this is not a gym where you are a number that signs in, they take coach to trainee ratio VERY seriously. Each coach takes the time and effort to learn about you at a personal level, craft each session depending on how you feel. You feel cared for, coached as though at home here. After going through a VERY rough pregnancy and delivery where I suffered partial paralysis, getting back into pre-pregnancy weight of 128lbs, feeling strong and mobile again was a thought that I gave up on. My sister knew I HATED gyms and so without telling me called PP and answered a bunch of questions pretending to be me and signed me up for a consult. I remember walking in to my first consult thinking… meh, let me just say hi and bye right away… instead when I walked in to the facility I immediately felt a sense of zen! Now was it just the incredible care that was shown during my consult? Ummm, maybe? During my consult, Ellen listened to my history, my story, built custom warm ups and told me how each session the coaches would work around my injuries, abilities and issues. I walked in thinking I am not gonna sign up and literally walked out signing up for the unlimited program! The coaches, whether its Ellen, Curtis or Bryce, they are all sooooo awesome, caring and amazing! They always push me, but are never so hard that I'm too fatigued for the next day. The coaches do rounds in the small group sessions making sure people are doing exercises safely and correctly.
To anyone seeking to improve their strength and conditioning at any level, PP is the place for you. I say this again, the environment is friendly, congenial and communal and welcome everyone—no matter where you are in your fitness journey. So my future PP gym friends….Run, don’t walk, to this friendly, community-based gym in Woodinville. The coaches are invested in their clients’ success. Cannot recommend this place enough.

P.S - they also have the cutest fur-ball coach, called Penny <3 that will add the much needed serotonin to your routines!

I knew several people that were regulars at Progressive Performance and I saw the difference in them. The best decision I made was to also go and start some strength training. It has paid off. My trainer Ellen is the best. She has the knowledge to keep me from getting hurt and the kindness and patience to keep me coming back. I am truly grateful for her and Progressive Performance.

Impactful local business with expert staff and a welcoming member community!

The owners are an outgoing and friendly duo who lead a team of highly-skilled trainers - all of whom are able to provide customized guidance to each member. Members range in experience, from those seeking 1:1 personal training to build up a new exercise skillset to tenured athletes looking for the occasional form correction. Class sizes are small (and there is always a big selection of classes to reserve), the gym has tons of equipment, and there’s ample space to spread out in consideration of Covid precautions.

As a business, PP regularly gives back to the community and makes a visible effort to create connections with its members. Great local business to support!

So grateful for Progressive Performance gym and the coaches (Bryce, Curtis, Ellen). The classes are limited to small groups. The coach guides us individually through our workout time, tailoring to our abilities and ensuring we're using correct form. Really attentive staff and supportive environment. Unlike any gym I've ever seen. I tried this gym on a buddy trial, skeptical of being able to gain strength without getting hurt. After only a few weeks I started seeing results and feeling stronger, exactly right for me. The coaches really made the difference to enable my progress. Highly recommend - life changer!

If you're reading reviews of gyms and contemplating making a change in your life....stop and look no further. Jimmy and team at Progressive Performance are THE BEST.

After a baby immediately followed by a pandemic, I found myself in the worst shape of my life. I was miserable and my fitness had hit rock bottom. I was making all sorts of excuses and then one day, a random ad on Instagram caught my eye.

Maybe it was desperation, maybe it's because I'm spontaneous, but I couldn't shake it. I signed up for a consultation with PP that moment and instantly felt a sense of commitment. That first step was the hardest - admitting I needed help to get myself back - but I no longer had an excuse.

I meant with Jimmy and was emotional as I admitted that I didn't know who I was anymore and acknowledged I didn't even recognize myself - but I felt safe. There was no judgement, but something clicked. I felt an instant connection and a sense of community - I wasn't broken beyond fixing....I wasn't alone on my journey. There was hope!

I've been going to PP for about three months now and my only regret is not finding them sooner. The difference is apparent - both physically and mentally. Jimmy, Bryce, Ellen - they are THE best. I look forward to my gym routine - Jimmy holds me accountable and Coach Bryce is so good at pushing me to do my best, always very attentive with providing tips to maximize my workouts.

I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for the team at Progressive Performance....seriously I feel like a completely different person. I am so excited to see where this journey takes me!

Thank you Jimmy and team! You guys rock!

I recently joined Progressive Performance at the enthusiastic recommendation of a family member who has been going there for a while. I'm really impressed so far. The trainers are knowledgeable and encouraging. They do a great job giving individual advice and attention during the small group classes.

I've bounced off a couple other gyms and fitness programs, but can really see myself sticking with this place. The overall atmosphere feels welcoming rather than intimidating. I appreciate that it isn't a one-size fits-all program and that they take into account individual motivations and goals.

I have been a member at progressive performance for a little over a year. I was looking for a place to help me lose weight and get into better shape. I have had two knee surgeries and have had lots of knee pain. I was told by other gyms and trainers that I would never be able to get back the strength and mobility I lost from my injuries and surgeries. Jimmy from day one told me I could and with the help from him and all the great coaches, I have regained all of the strength and mobility that I lost and I am pain free. I love the small group workouts, nutrition support, and individualized programming that are helping me with my firness goals. If you are looking for a fantastic gym community with great trainers, then progressive performance is for you.

If your looking to start going to the gym, especially for the first time, I highly recommend this gym! The staff are friendly and well trained. I had never had a guided workout before, and I was really worried about injuring myself training. Working with the people at progressive performance really gave me the peice of mind that I could push myself without hurting myself.

Also I appreciated the community of the gym. Its just regular folks like you and me.

Even after I leave the gym I will take a wealth of knoweldge about how to put together a good workout with me, and for that I am really grateful!

I’ve been working out at Progressive Performance for about a month now. Before joining, I did primarily HIIT and yoga, but was looking to challenge my strength. I consider myself a novice when it comes to weight training, and there’s been nothing but encouragement and support while at the gym here. The trainers are great to work with and regularly come around to correct form, or provide a spot as needed. If you’re looking to learn how to lift safely, test your strength, and be apart of a positive, judgment-free environment, look no further than Progressive Performance.

I’ve hit my one year anniversary with PP and couldn’t be happier. The value the program, the coaches and the members have added to my life is truly priceless. I’ve been an athlete all my life but found myself struggling with injuries, weight gain and lack of energy as I hit 50. I knew I had to make a change in my workout and all my research pointed to weight training. I searched and searched for a gym in my area that fit my specific needs without the typical “gym scene” found in chain type places. Through the very knowledgeable coaches and excellent programs, I’ve increased my strength considerably with no injuries. This strength has improved all areas of my life. I’ve noticed a significant increase in my overall stamina impacting my career life to even the simple things like gardening, travel & grand-parenting. I never procrastinate going to gym because it’s a joy and I experience countless blessings. Thank you PP coaches!

I'm 74 and I had a spinal cord injury in 2015 and extensive spine surgery in 2019. I also had my right knee replaced in 2019. In those 4 years, I lost a significant amount of muscle mass and feel lucky to have found Progressive Performance. I have been a member since October 2020. I work with an individual trainer and I can't believe the progress I have made!
I am able to perform activities of daily living because of my increased strength that I wasn't able to perform, even a year ago. I can't thank the staff at Progressive Performance for helping me on this journey. Being a member has made a huge difference in my quality of life.

I've been a member of Progressive Performance for about four years now, and just don't know where to start to convey my appreciation for the owner Jimmy, and the amazing coaches he has on staff.
I came to PP originally in my search for a gym to help maintain and grow my physical fitness in my late 40's, knowing strength training is the key to growing older with fitness that helps to prevent injuries and maintain independence. I had tried the larger box gyms (Gold's and YMCA), but just felt like a number passing in and out of the door.
After finding and joining PP, I was struck by the benefits of a personalized workout and coaching - and didn't anticipate the further benefits which were lurking under the surface. Yes, my strength improved, as was the goal. But, so did my bone density, my balance, and the grip strength in my hands - which reversed the pain of my arthritis. I gained muscle without bulking, and lost fat. My sleep improved, thus improving mood, energy, skin clarity, and cognition.
If desired, one can join for nutrition counseling to help identify those little habits we all have which could be preventing reaching health goals - this has really helped me, and a service that I'll drop in on time to time.

The small group workout times allow for consistent coaching from coaches who come to know you and your personal goals, strengths and areas of improvement.

The ultimate silver lining for me has been the community. Meeting new people had been a challenge for me being self employed and with children in school. I have made wonderful friends with fellow clients, as well as the coaches, and look forward to each day as we all work and cheer one another on.

I would feel lost without this wonderful place, and if you are on the fence about coming in, I would urge you to just give it a try - and introduce yourself to a new experience and friends : )

I've been a client at PP for 7 years - from wedding prep thru pregnancy and post-partum, and those rough early childhood years, Jimmy and his team have supported me, encouraged me, and helped me achieve my strength goals.

They've also taught me the value of listening to my body, not my ego - if something's too hard, modify! They often remind me not to push myself too hard - they appreciate that we have lives outside the gym.

Safety is probably the main reason I've stuck with PP for so long. I've been able to become surprisingly strong (even during my pregnancy!), and I've never been hurt or injured following their guidance.

Education is probably the other reason. They are really, really good at explaining how to do something *and* why it matters. I can take this knowledge with me, and share with others. Essentially, they're nerds - they keep up with the latest scientific evidence, so I can ask them lots of questions!

However! Sometimes it can be difficult to finish a workout because most of their clients are hilarious, and it's really hard to squat when you're laughing so much. I feel lucky to be part of this community.

I have only been going here for the last month, but it is the first gym that I actually WANT to go to. The coaches are super encouraging, attentive and good at guiding someone who has never really been in the gym. The others in the group are also really supportive of each other and encourage and cheer you on in every victory. I have been very impressed.

I have avoided the "gym" most of my life because I hate the feeling that it is a meat market. Not so here. Everyone is working at their own pace to be the best they can be. I would highly recommend others try it out, The staff work hard to keep you from injury, but if you happen to do it to yourself (in or out of the gym), they also help you to recover in a safe way. Kudos to Ellen and Curtis who have been my rock as I learn how to safely move my body with weights.

Love the small group setup, Jimmy and Bryce are both very knowledgeable and helpful with helping you achieve whatever your goals are. Other members at the gym are friendly, never feel like I'm being judged here. Canceled my membership at 24 hour fitness in favor of here because I feel it's a better value if you're actually trying to improve. But if you're already an expert or just going to the gym to say you work out it might not be the best option.

I have been going to Progressive Performance since they opened the first location, before expanding to the current location. Progressive Performance has a wide range of clients ranging from youth athletes to adults to seniors and spreading across various fitness goals. The walls are covered with the achievements of the members in pursuit of those goals from the fat loss board, to the strength achievement photos, to even the powerlifting records of many clients (and trainers), and even a goal board for all members to write their goals on. PP is built on proven exercise science knowledge and continuing education, but also provides a supportive community that is so strong it seems to stand up on it's own.

When the global pandemic began and fitness facilities had to shut down, PP adapted. They loaned out all their equipment to their members and took all their training virtual, hosting zoom lessons from their (now empty) gym to their members' living rooms and garages. It really shows a dedication to fitness and their members during such a chaotic and unpredictable time. When it came time to open the doors back up, PP has kept a dedication to cleanliness and safety, installing hands-free bathroom utilities, stepping-up cleaning routines and always following CDC guidelines and state regulations.

As I said above, you don't have to be a particular kind of athlete, or have specific strength or fat loss goals to find a home at PP. People from all walks of fitness find what they are looking for here. Youth athletes find out how to train for their specific sport. Fitness enthusiasts learn how to move properly, avoid injury, and gain strength, or perhaps lose some fat. Powerlifters can come to seek mastery, build strength, and learn to perform on the platform. Some more senior members just want to be more efficient in their daily lives. Some members even come here to move forward in their progression after physical therapy to get their strength and mobility back. Some members come just to get nutrition coaching.

The owner and his team of trainers are very knowledgeable, qualified, and friendly. And don't be surprised if you are greeted at the door by Coach Penny, the head of the welcoming committee (the owner's friendly, mild-mannered dog).

If results, knowledge, community, and friendly people are what you seek in a fitness facility, check it out.

Do not waste your money here! To them you are just a dollar sign! They made me prepay several hundreds of dollars for their 28 day program on the first day I walked into the gym for information. Not even 24 hours after I "signed up" I met with Emily their health coach who was a complete waste of time and told me things you learn in elementary school like drink more water. Jimmy the owner told me she would help me by providing a meal plan which was a complete lie. Not even 24 hours after going to this gym and meeting with their employees I learn this is actually not the place for me and they said no refund whatsoever. I didn't even train one day and they kept all of the money they forced me to prepay in order to meet with Emily. Anywhere else would be more worth your time, effort, and money.

3 days a week I start my day with progressive performance, NOT coffee!

A year and a half ago I was looking for a trainer with a personal touch!

At 62, a professional female, I was looking to re-engage in my physical health so as I was looking ahead to retirement I would still have a body that could enjoy activities.

Carrying extra weight and a generic form of arthritis, certain workouts were more difficult to maintain over the years. What I have found with the trainers at Progressive Performance is a workout that can be tailored to my unique body’s aches and pains, pushing in some areas and pulling back in others, all at my pace!

I love the friendly smaller gym community, no intimidating machines, just constant contact with the coaches.

I truly enjoy my strength training workouts first 3 days a week, followed by a great cup of coffee! Ready to tackle the day!

Thank you to Jimmy, Tori, Emily, Ellen and Vincent!

I've been a member of a lot of gyms over the years but this is my favorite gym. I only wish I had found it and joined sooner. I like to lift weights but I'm too intimidated to go to a big gym and lift on my own. At Progressive Performance you get just the right amount of guidance on what to do combined with coaching on your form to feel comfortable and confident. It's a smaller sized gym with smallish class sizes which I like. It's nice because you get to know the coaches and other members, which for me helps me feel more comfortable. They offer both strength classes and cardio sessions which is a great blend. A special shout out to Jimmy, the owner, who helped me with my sciatica issue I was having. It was quite painful and nothing I was doing was helping. He came up with some special stretches for me to do that fixed me right up and I haven't had an issue again since. Lastly, if you are a dog lover - you will love the gym dog, Penny. :-) If you are looking for a gym where they greet you by name and truly care about you as a person and your goals in fitness, give Progressive Performance a try!

Highly recommend this gym! You get personalized training without paying one-on-one training costs. The small group approach means that you have someone there guiding you, keeping an eye on your form, but not hovering over you every minute. The trainers are cheerfully available to help you at all times. I was new to weight training and for the first time in my life I feel comfortable using free weights – so much more efficient than other ways of training. My workouts a few times a week have helped me to be physically prepared for some grueling hiking and bicycle touring. The trainers are awesome! Finally, as a grandma in my late 50’s I feel comfortable in this gym like nowhere else I’ve been. There are people of all ages, shapes, sizes and fitness levels and everyone is universally supportive, respectful and friendly.

I was referred here by a friend and was not disappointed. I went in a little skeptical as I've had some injuries in my past that keep coming back to haunt me. The first time I went in Jimmy sat me down and talked to me about what I wanted to get out of being at his gym and I informed him of all my injuries past and present. Once he knew my ailments Jimmy, Tori and Emily made sure I was doing everything correctly and helped me rebuild the muscles around my injured knee, hip and shoulder. These guys are amazing. I attended their 6 week on boarding program and stayed a month after. I had to stop going as I've had some personal issues I need to fix, but once I do I'll definitely be back. I went from always being in pain after a workout to finally just being sore because these guys showed me what I was doing wrong and corrected it for me. I'd highly recommend this, not to mention they always have some pretty awesome conversations going during your workouts!

I joined the club originally with a friends and family pass for a free month trial. After the month was up I joined the club full time. Jimmy, Tory and Emily do an amazing job of making you feel welcome, their knowledge and personal care with helping you reach your goals is first rate. If you’re looking for a gym for whatever your personal goals might be, I can’t recommend more, how well they will help you meet those goals. 😊😊

Jimmy and the rest of the team at Progressive Performance are absolutely wonderful. When I arrived, I wanted help with motivation and a renewed drive to workout again. I had been working out inconsistently for a couple years at that point and just couldn't stay motivated despite having a home gym. Well, after working with Jimmy, Emily, and the rest of the crew for a few weeks, I found the motivation I needed to succeed and stick with it!

I HIGHLY recommend Progressive Performance for your fitness goals.

This is a great gym with cool members and awesome trainers the truly care about the people they work with.
Specific warm-up, exercises and routines are individually matched and adjusted to your particular abilities, starting with a thorough assessment.
Sessions are easily booked through an app and the number of participants that can be in the gym at one time is limited in order to maintain that personal interaction with the trainers.
Speaking of the trainers, this gym puts the personal back in personal trainer. They have built a community here. The support, comradery and fun the members show is wonderful. Your trainers are there beyond just the physical training, offering nutritional counseling and even personal counseling when life takes a turn.
Happily and enthusiastically recommended family, friends, co-workers and competitive athletes!

Literally one of the best trainers I have ever had. Everyone is so nice and day 1 I felt like I had a family already and huge support system. I used to be extremely athletic and played year around soccer and lacrosse. I was in a bad accident that had messed up my back 6 years ago and I hadn’t been able to workout since without any pain. No matter how many physical therapists I saw or trainers, nothing worked. Jimmy started me out slow and customized my workout plan and literally worked tirelessly with me. No matter how many times We had to go back and change my plan to find out what worked, he didn’t give up on me and wouldn’t let me give up on myself. Trust me there was a lot of tears and frustration from me. He has been the only trainer to get me back to lifting 200+ lbs and working out pain free. HUGE ACCOMPLISHMENT. I never thought it would be possible to be pain free again. He gave me hope and he delivered results. If you want an amazing set of trainers, a huge support system, new friends, and to reach your goals, then go to progressive performance hands down. He will help you reach every goal you set for yourself.

Progressive Performance changed my life. I have struggled with back pain for twenty years and thought I had tried everything. After reading reviews and looking at Jimmy's background, I decided to try it for 6 weeks. It wasn't until I started training that I realized how much I had been relying on OTC pain meds. Now I don't use medication at all and I feel like a new person. I can't thank Jimmy and his staff enough. I have to admit I was pretty intimidated coming into the gym but everyone is so supportive. Its a great community and I highly recommend Progressive Performance.

Small group training sessions. Lots of availability to choose from (great for all work schedules). Started coming here in October of 2017 doing a 6 week trial. After taking about a month break I signed up for a year commitment. Best decision for my health and fitness goals. I come here 2 days a week (2 hours total a week), which is plenty for what I am trying to accomplish. The company runs a buddy week too every couple months! Aka-bring a friend for free! This isnt scary. The sessions are adjusted to your own fitness levels. You run through a series of exercises at your own pace each session and there’s always 2 cardio or ab exercises at the end. Great community of people and trainers! Highly recommend!

This is such a great place to workout! Coach Jimmy and Coach Tory, are so helpful, and knowledgeable each in their own way. They really make the gym a fun and inviting place to go and get fit. It’s often said that positive and encouraging people attract the same and it really proves true here! All of the clients that workout at the gym, really make it feel like a kind of family. All of us having different fitness levels, age groups and from many walks of life. We all work towards our own fitness goals, which help to really make this a place I look forward to going to. I really love working out here!

Jimmy is a great strength coach. Any time he doesn't already spend training clients, he is working on improving his current fitness and dietary plans. He is frequently going to seminars and learning new tools in the fitness world to better suit his clients. He has an almost borderline obsession with achieving fitness goals, both his own and his clients'.
