This place has really changed my perspective on health. I’ve never been the “working out” type but the energy is different than a gym. You are put in a place to focus on your own body in a way that makes you forget that you are doing work. Is it hard? Yes. But the practices help you get in touch with your center and balance and you just happen to sweat in the process. The staff/teachers are amazing. They are passionate about what they do and make sure you are getting the most out of your time.

Such a warm and welcoming community. I’m motivated every class by those around me and encouraged to push myself both physically and mentally by each teacher.

The first time I walked into Pura Vida, I felt welcomed. Initially, I was just looking for a place to take some yoga classes, but I am happy to say I found so much more than that. Pura Vida is more than a yoga studio—it’s a community.

They offer a great range of classes, workshops, and events led by some of the most amazing and passionate teachers. Sonja and Gabbi have done a fantastic job of creating a space where people can grow, connect, and explore true yoga practices in a safe, supportive environment. Each time I leave the studio, I feel recharged, centered, and uplifted.

Now, I am thrilled to be a student in their 200-hour yoga teacher training program, and I’m excited to deepen my practice and learn from some pretty incredible instructors.

Whether you’re looking for yoga, barre, or simply a warm, welcoming community, I can’t recommend Pura Vida highly enough.

In less than six months, this studio has become so much more than just a yoga space—it's truly a second home. The integrity, professionalism, and generosity they bring to every class is a rare gift for the Tri-Cities community. Each session is so wholesome and nourishing; I feel safe, supported, and stronger both physically and emotionally. Their classes are the real deal—it's like therapy, strength-building, and zen all wrapped into one.

I was so impressed that I signed up for their Yoga Teacher Training (YTT), and it has been nothing short of life-changing. Sonja generously shares her wisdom and in-depth knowledge and I am forever grateful. The training has allowed me to deepen my practice, not just in terms of physical strength, but also emotionally and mentally. Some weeks, it felt like a retreat, where I could reset and come back to myself.

Vinyasa, Yoga Nidra, and Yin are my absolute favorites, but every class is transformative. I'm deeply grateful to Sonja, Gabby, and the entire studio family for creating such a beautiful, nurturing environment.

As Bri described, Pura Vida is also "my home away from home." I first arrived 5 1/2 years ago to try Barre. All the classes offered are a part of my practice now. Sonja, Gabbi and the other instructors are caring people and accomplished instructors who value who their students are in all regards. I can walk into the studio with whatever is on my mind or in my heart, and they have created a space where I know I will be welcomed and encouraged.

I’ve been at Pura Vida for close to 6 years now. I came from the Westside where yoga is on every street corner and I immediately fell in love with the studio and the kindness and love that Sonja and Gabbi showed me. Fast forward to now and I can’t believe the journey that it’s been. There are way too many things to list on a review, but I will say that you have nothing to lose when swinging by the studio. Whether you want a beginner, intermediate, or advanced experience, each teacher caters to each of these within every single class and I’m still in awe at how they achieve this. It’s the best studio in Washington State in my honest opinion and if you’re looking for a drop in class or are looking to improve your practice, this is hands down the best place to start. People have asked if I’m ever going to leave this studio and my answer is “Naw-ima-stay.” Check it out. You will regret it if you don’t 😌.

Love “my” yoga and barre studio. Perfect for all levels. Highly trained instructors. Variety of classes. Welcoming community. Great place for calming the mind, body and soul. I joined on day 1, 5 years ago. It is the best thing I have ever done for myself. With support of the amazing yoga/barre instructors I continue to grow stronger in all aspects of my life. Added Bali Yoga Retreat was a bonus.

Pura Vida was the first yoga studio I tried out two years ago, and it quickly became a sanctuary. After a year, I'd decided to do the teacher training Sonja offered. Sonja and Gabbi inspired me to want to be more, and do more, in the yoga world. And it was one of the best and unforgettable experiences ever. Unfortunately, I moved out of state a year ago, and no longer regularly attend. But it is the one place I miss the most in the Tri, because it was such a big part of my life. This studio became my family and will forever be in my heart. Whenever I visit, I come back, and it is awesome. Pura Vida ranks the best studio I've visited to this day, and I hold it close, along with my teachings, no matter where I am in the world. Sonja and Gabbi know how to teach, how to make you sweat, and will always put a smile on your face. The investment is worth every penny. :)

First: I want to say that I am so grateful I found this studio during a period of my life that was very challenging. I found such an amazing, loving, and welcoming community within Pura Vida. I was practicing at home yoga for a few years, when I moved to Tri-Cities I ran into the studio. I’m so thankful I did!
Second: Sonja and Gabbi are nothing short of wonderful, the way they teach and guide you through your practice is so smooth and with intention. They challenge you but help you stay mindful within every movement. My practice has only gotten better and honestly if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be where I am in my yoga journey.
Three: Barre is also so awesome, Jenna and Gabbi are wonderful teachers in this class. It doesn’t feel like an hour of exercise because you’re having a good time with good people while getting stronger. I highly recommend trying out Barre as well!
If you are looking for a yoga and barre studio that challenges, encourages, and welcomes you look no further and come try out Pura Vida!!

I wish I could adequately put into words how great Pura Vida is. It started out as a place for me to enjoy a hobby with a friend, then it turned into a healing space, and then it became a home. The classes are great for all levels, and everyone is so inviting!

I also got to go on the Bali Retreat in April of 2024, it was such a life changing trip. An experience I will forever be grateful for! We got to do yoga and all the sight seeing. It was a great balance of activities and down time.

When I returned from the Bali retreat, I knew I wanted to do more with yoga. I joined the yoga teacher training with Sonja, and it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I learned so much about yoga and effective teaching as well as personal development. I have a wild amount of gratitude for Pura Vida!

So much love for Sonja, Gabby and the Pura Vida community!

LOVE this place! I was very much a beginner yogi when I started going to this studio a little less than a year ago, and they are welcoming to all levels. I like that it's not just one style of yoga too, there's a lot of diversity in the classes that are offered here. All the instructors I've had have been so kind. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Pura Vida is a really special, sacred space. I feel so blessed and lucky to have stumbled into this studio 3 years ago. Sonja and Gabbi, as well as the other teachers, really embody yogic principles and work tirelessly to create a safe, inclusive place for the community to come find peace. I fully credit them with leading me to a more awakened, more present life. In addition to yoga, and Barre (which is incredibly tough), they offer pop-up classes for other things, such as yoga nidra, as well as several private healing modalities- which I cannot recommend enough! They also are very community focused, offering free yoga in the park, as well as facilitating other events to promote local businesses. I'm so proud to call myself a member of the Pura Vida Tribe
And to call these ladies my friends!

I’ve had the pleasure of taking classes here and the experience was educational and nourishing to both my mind and body. Beyond the daily yoga classes, the instructors inspire a healthier way of life. The yoga teacher training I also took with Pura Vida and I highly recommend. From multiple studios where I have taught and subbed, I have been complimented on my extensive knowledge and ability to teach. Students and owners have commented that I teach with the wisdom of many years beyond my true yoga teaching experience. I owe a lot of credit to Pura Vida 😍. Take one class and you’ll stay for life

All the instructors I have met (Alyssa, Gabbi and Sonja) have been excellent teachers, nice and genuinely caring about any questions or concerns I have when practicing barre or yoga. I came here with a small amount of practice under my belt but felt totally at home and confident thanks to the instructors. Even though I'm often sore afterwards, the atmosphere and classes definitely keep me coming back and make me want to continue to practice, wherever life takes me. I feel like the prices are reasonable considering all that you get, and how amazing you feel afterward.
