Not enough space to deadlift comfortably when it's busy. Very good local gym otherwise. Staff is really attentive and friendly., inclusive environment, which is really great for my husband and I.

Went for a tour (I’m on crutches at the moment) and Leanna was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Signed up the same day, very happy.

I have never felt so humiliated for trying to make a healthy change in my life. I tried to sign up for the Rain City Fit barbell club and after an in-person tour I was turned away, I think because I didn't look fit enough.

If you are anxious about re-joining a gym after some time away, or worried that others will judge you, please look for another gym than this one. I had to psych myself up just to go, thinking this would be my first workout back, and instead I paid for parking, they wasted my time, and then they shamed me and sent me home. I was so embarrassed.

When I come visit my son in Seattle, Rain City Fit Barbell club is my home gym away from home! Great powerlifting gym! Super friendly and just a great atmosphere all around! Thanks for allowing me to join your community

Incredible gym. My wife and I did a day pass on vacation, and it was beyond impressive. Full powerlifting set-up, heavy KB’s and DB’s, yoke, sleds, logs, heavy sandbags, rubber stones up to 200lbs. This place is a dream come true. Affordable prices, friendly people. Perfect.

I heard about this gym during Pride, and as much as I liked the space, and the inclusivity, I felt it very unsafe because there were dogs around the gym. Not only did i feel like it was unsafe for me, I felt its unsafe for the dogs as well.

This gym had a kot of people in it most times I went, and that can't be safe to have small dogs around heavy weights where peoplle could trip and hurt the animal.
I grew up Muslim, I'm not used to being around dogs, ans I won't be going back to this gym because its not safe for me, or other people in my community. For being inclusive, they are not being kind to others who dont want to, or cant be around dogs.

My favorite gym in Seattle! Such a welcoming community, competition quality equipment, a reasonable price, and 24 hour access. What more could you ask for?

It’s hard not writing a love letter to the barbell club. It’s an amazing facility for folks looking to ✨lift✨ in the safest of spaces.

The barbell club is also for beginners who want to start their journey without feeling overwhelmed. The community you walk into is welcoming, curious, supportive, and eternally helpful.

Barbell club members also have access to Power Bottom, a strongman gym directly across the street. RCF Barbell SODO, and Olympic weightlifting-focused space. They took Seattle’s grunge and flipped it to modern craftsman/industrial. And of course the main gym on 11th - the most comprehensive of spaces.

Week and day passes are available on walk-in. Knock on the door and someone will help! Come check us out and join the community :)

Walked in for the first time and was the most welcoming gym I've ever been to. Not just that the people were great but I felt like i never wanted to leave. The range of equipment is not like any other gym and is a dream for any powerlifter. VERY highly recommend, never been to a gym like this one.

I've known the owners for years now and they have created something quite special for the CapHill community. The gym is a "no bros", inclusive, clean space that welcomes everyone and has the equipment to accommodate those who are serious about power lifting! The city needs more gyms like this! 🏋️

Excellent gym - everything you would ever want as a powerlifter or olympic lifter! There's even free access to a complete other gym, only a few blocks away, with additional machines, racks, and cardio equipment.

The owners, Ben and Leanna, have built a great community and atmosphere; it is truly a warm and welcoming environment. Wonderful mix of members from all walks of life. Could not recommend this place enough and very happy to have this place after going to a big-box commercial gym for several years.

Absolutely love the owners and community. Incredibly comforting environment that works heavily on policing toxic masculinity in the space. It’s a gym with all levels of members and a great community ethic of make wearing.

Whether you’re into powerlifting, Olympic lifting, bodybuilding, this is the place to be.

Great powerlifting and OLY equipment, Texas strength racks, rogue racks, deadlift platforms, many different specific bars, boxes, cables, bikes, sled, kettlebells. Plenty of diverse equipment.

Not to mention the friendliest and most inclusive community. On my best days and my worst, the friends I’ve made here have been there for them all. You’ll always feel welcome and motivated here.

The owners, Ben and Leanna are awesome! The gym environment is great and really welcoming - members are friendly, and the equipment is A1. Competition bars, racks, plates, along with deadlift platforms, a weightlifting platform, full dumbbell rack, some power racks, a turf runway with sled, and accessory equipment. A great place for experienced and novice lifters alike. It's also open 24/7.

RCF is such an incredible gym and I feel lucky that I’m able to be part of such a strong, supportive community. Extremely high quality equipment, plenty of racks, barbells, plates, dumbells, etc. In terms of cleanliness and covid protocols, I started training here during the summer, in the midst of the pandemic, and I felt very safe at the gym. Ben and Leanna do a great job of ensuring the safety of all of their members by keeping a strict mask policy, which is so appreciated. I also feel very comfortable as a female athlete here. I’ve been to to so many gyms where I feel uncomfortable for what I’m wearing or how I’m training, but I have never once felt that at RCF. Highly, highly recommend this gym to any powerlifter, weightlifter, or gym goer.

Literally the BEST powerlifting gym in Seattle. Benches and squat racks galore. Plenty of weights, excellent community guidelines and safety protocols. I feel safe working out here. Check out the website if you are just starting out—and if you’re reading this mid-pandemmy, there is an online signup system in place currently (in order to keep the amount of ppl in the gym compliant with percentage of occupancy for our reopening phases here in Seattle).

I love working out here. Ben and Leanna are incredible owners, and curate an environment that is supportive, encouraging, and also builds holistically strong athletes. Even those who are taking their training incredibly seriously are open to greeting new members and making sure that they feel welcomed, no matter what weight is on the bar.
As a female lifter, I feel supported and encouraged by the other people in the gym. The owners also prioritize creating a space that is welcoming to those who may otherwise feel excluded from
other strength spaces, meaning that the space while having elite gear and athletes, also prioritizes an environment that is inclusive and community driven.
When people are going for a heavy lift, they are encouraged by those around them. If someone doesn’t know the correct form and asks for help or feedback, someone is always willing to give it (but not unsolicited.)
Can’t wait to continue to see our members crush state records AND continue being awesome community members. This space is about more than just getting strong, but you’ll also probably get really strong ;)

I’d also like to add that there’s respect for and practice of body positivity. People of all shapes and sizes are encouraged and supported as athletes. Ben and Leanna are very responsive to any concerns or complaints about any behavior that would take away from prioritizing this being a safe space for anyone to work out in.... including not wearing your mask in a way that is safest for other members (looking at you, one star review guy that never has been step foot in RCF Barbell).

RCF Barbell Club is a great place for those that are barbell enthusiasts! Ben and Leanne (owners of the gym) have created a welcoming community if you are a beginner or a long time lifter. I've been lifting for 5+ years and my girlfriend just started last year. They have every piece of equipment you could need as well.

If you ever have an issue or a question, Ben and Leanne are always there to listen. Also - willing to help in anyway. Great place to lift. 10/10 recommend.

This place is great! The owners have asked everyone to wear masks and sanitize anything they come in contact with. I feel safe working out here. I know they have asked people who can't 'behave' to leave the gym, and I'm really thankful for that. Keep up the good work BBC!
