His understanding of the bio mechanics of the human body and resistance training makes it possible for him to tailor exercises to specifically target areas which need work. My neck had been bothering me on and off for a couple years until I finally made some appointments with John at Reed Elite Training.

John was extremely professional, and tailored several exercises specifically to the muscle groups I was having problems with. He also showed me how I can modify those exercises to do them at home with minimal equipment.

John and his exercise techniques have been a muscle savior for me so many times. I have a tendency to trigger back issues due to bad posture. John will skillfully guide with the right set of activation exercises for immediate and long standing relief. He also provides exercise tips to continue at home to help with pain relief and recovery.
My overall stamina, strength and fitness have also improved significantly after I started training with him, thanks to his customized workout routines. I’m impressed with John Reed’s knowledge of both exercise training and dealing with physical limitations and injuries. I’m a 72 years old female with hip dysplasia, and neck and spine issues. John has identified muscles that support those areas and we are strengthening them. He has had to create workouts around my broken hip, various surgeries as well as chronic issues my old body has dealt with. 1 on 1 in his gym is great and we can really focus on my workouts. I’m a type 1 diabetic who had really poor blood glucose level control. When my wife and I found out that we were expecting, I wanted to take control of my health and be there for my daughter as she grows up. Since I started working out with John, I’ve lost 20 lbs and my blood glucose levels have been amazing. This may be more relevant for diabetics but my last HbA1c was 5.6, the lowest I’ve ever had in my 22 years of being a diabetic :).

John is very knowledgeable and explains the technique and reasoning behind each workout thoroughly. His guidance on nutrition and on maintaining a healthy lifestyle has kept me motivated and has had a tremendous effect on my overall health.

John was my trainer for over 3 years. Many trainers or books can teach you proper form, but John's positive attitude and encouragement are what make him a great trainer. He encouraged me while I trained for a half and full marathon and adjusted my weight training and cross training sessions accordingly. He helped me train for a Tough Mudder. I would go back to him in a heartbeat if I could, but he has given me the tools and confidence to do it on my own.
