About the Club

Resilient Body Fitness offers personal training for all bodies. I believe that feeling comfortable in your body is a birthright--if you just want to get healthier, come on through! If you just want to get stronger, come on through! If you want to move with more confidence, come on through! If you're looking for training that is trauma-sensitive, HAES-consistent, safe, and/or accessible, let's talk, and by all means, come on through!

I'm in my 40s and mother of two young children, with a very limited bandwidth for exercise, but Michele has managed to keep me engaged and challenged incrementally in a way that makes me feel comfortable but very motivated to push further. I've been working with Michele for the last two years and she has helped me build a tailored and sustainable routine to fit my health goals, with very detail-oriented attention to my specific needs. Her approach to fitness as a way to increase mobility and longevity (rather than the traditional focus on aesthetics or weight loss as a primary goal) has been so refreshing. Working with her has been a tremendous asset to me and I feel the benefits of it every single day!

As a personal trainer Michele McCauley is an incredibly positive and encouraging person and I enjoy our sessions immensely- she’s great at helping you find the point of growth while also staying attuned to your body’s cues (which is especially helpful for someone like me who isn’t an athlete, and who really struggles with body awareness due to trauma).
Very body-positive and focused on increasing functionality and meeting you where you’re at, I would recommend Michele many times over!

Michelle is wonderful!!! I have a history of back issues and surgery. I never thought weight-lifting was an option, but she is excellent at going step-by-step and making me feel safe. She's great at pushing without pushing, always introducing new concepts. I can now pick up a 40lb bag of dog food (or a case of wine) no prob!

Michele has a back-to-basics approach that I very much appreciate. She adapts to your actual needs while working towards whatever goal or ideal you may have in mind, which is easier said than done, in my experience. I've often struggled with the pedagogy of fitness (learning how to learn), but Michele definitely has that figured out.

Michele in a very clear, accessible, and direct way guided me through breathing exercises and stretches which took me from a place of bad lower back pain to almost none. Something chiropractors failed to accomplish. I was able to get out of bed without pain this morning, and that’s a miracle. Can’t recommend highly enough.

I am so grateful that I started training with Resilient Body Fitness in April of 2021. Michelle is an amazing trainer who knows what she is doing. She has so much experience with movement, and knows how healing it is. I’ve not only felt stronger since training with Michelle, I feel more confident and grounded with my body.

She has taught me different stretching and fitness techniques that i can use when I’m at home, and has been so health/safety cautious during Covid.

I first started training with Michelle at the local park, then her backyard - I am so excited that she has her own space now. I know how dedicated she is to her customer base, and her new space. I’m excited to watch it grow.
