We love SNAP in Poulsbo. The gym has such a special and uniquely beautiful feel as an old tile store. The staff are friendly and Arthur “Thor” cares deeply about clients and the gym. I’ve loved working with Madison, an amazing personal trainer. Also, the 24/7 hours work so well with our lifestyle. The gym is undergoing some renovations and enhancements in the next couple of years and that is exciting.

Bst gym on the Peninsula. In western Washington even. It's got a European health spa inspired vibe. Decor fitting for a photo spread in Architectural Digest. Best commercial grade equipment. Super nice, knowledgeable trainers. It's on the smaller side but perfect size for our little town. Super affordable yet I've never had to wait for a piece of equipment. Great, super clean showers too.

I went in to update my card on file because I noticed I wasn’t getting charge anymore. Arthur informed me that I would have to sign up for a new membership because they didn’t have payment within 90 days. I never got any phone call, email or text about this “policy.”

I've been coming to Snap Fitness for almost a year now and in all that time I've never found one thing bad about it. The staff are nice, the accommodations are wonderful, and it doesn't matter that my work schedule is so sporadic either because of the 24 hour access! I come nearly everyday either before or after work/church, spend an hour on the treadmill, and then go about my day feeling healthier than the day before. For the first time in years I'm at a healthy weight and the price is worth it. I highly recommend.

Walked in smelled like corn chips and shower was not clean. A lot of machines but you have to accept that’s all it is. I dunno would rather drive elsewhere. Bummed cuz of the limited availability of gyms in that area. Needs an overhaul and more that one shower.

24/7 access is nice, owner is a super good guy and super understanding. Trainers are very nice and uplift the environment. I joined Poulsbo Snap Fitness in April 2023. My first day I met with Arthur (Thor) who helped me come up with a plan. We discussed my goals and current diet. He gave me advice on both and scheduled some one on one training sessions. I absolutely love this gym and all the great people who work there and workout there. It has everything I need and the hours being a 24/7 gym are gold! I’ve since won the 2024 championship (monthly and quartet challenges earn you points) and received $4000 value credit. This covers my membership dues for all of 2025 and one training session per week. This was all thanks to Thor and his mentorship and dedication to helping me better myself! I feel like I am part of a family at Poulsbo snap and hope it stays in business forever because of how much better my life is now! Thanks Poulsbo Snap for all the help and support 💪

Owner lacks sense and empathy. He favors public humiliation tactics over private conversation and professionalism.

When someone apparently pooped in their trashcan (crazy that I have to write that sentence), the gym didn’t reach out privately when 4 people’s entry-times aligned with the incidents. Didn’t even think to approach the issue with humility and consider the incidents could have been linked to a medical condition (like IBS or Crohn’s). Instead, they publicly posted their full names and what they were accused of by the bathrooms. Had they actually talked to the 4 individuals privately and the incidents stopped, the problem would have been solved with no other drama. If they’d talked to them and the incidents continued, then additional measures to track down the culprit should have been taken (very likely, there would have actually been better evidence the next time it happened, because the people who were initially pulled aside would have taken measures to ensure they weren’t implicated again).

When asked to remove the names due to a lack of evidence and in favor of pursuing the facts, the owner ridiculed the individuals and proceeded to threaten them with cancelling their membership if it happened again. Astounding lack of sense and professionalism in favor or laziness and ego at the expense of 4 peoples dignity and trust. When you are in these positions of power you are beholden to your people/customers to remain professional, even when the culprit isn’t. You should ensure you are doing your best to properly investigate problems and put in place proper solutions without violating the dignity and trust of your people. If, in trying to find the perpetrator, you’re exposing “suspects” to public ridicule, you are doing your customers more of a disservice than by letting the actual issue continue.

Save yourself the bs and find a gym where your dignity and trust are valued and the owner acts like a professional, sensible adult (even when one of their gym members is inexplicably crapping in the trashcan).

I usually visit the Bremerton location but I work in Poulsbo so I decided to stop by after work. The layout is a little confusing at first but I'm sure I'll get used to that, there is a LOT of different kinds of equipment, but I didn't see a Smith machine? You can tell they take really care of their gym, it felt really clean and the members keep to themselves. I really appreciate that there is a lot of space in the free weight areas. The only minor downside was I didn't realize that they required the key card when leaving so I thought I was locked in the gym, until I realized I needed to tap my card to leave which in the moment was a little frustrating but now I appreciate, so I know I've left with my card on me.
Overall a good experience, just some getting used to on my part!

Love this Gym!!! Been going here for months now after my previous gym closed. Staff is great. They’re actually yoked! Nice environment and they have the equipment you need(machines, cables, Free Weights, Smith Machine, Benches, etc…) . Would recommend to anyone that cares about fitness because this gym does. I signed up at Snap Fitness back in August of 2021 and have thoroughly enjoyed it. It has a perfect balance of workout traffic and elbow room. There are always a good number of people working out without it being over crowded. They also have fun events every month that you can be involved in that will also win you some perks and freebies! There are a variety of class offerings, too, so that people with different workout styles and goals have evening options to choose from. One of the things I have enjoyed most so far are the personal trainer sessions. It has helped me get back into shape more quickly and re-educated me on the most effective and safe ways to get the most gains (or losses, depending on how you look at it). Thor runs a tight gym and it shows in the cleanliness of the facilities as well as in the caliber of the employees. Everyone there works hard and seems genuinely interested in helping you. I love the family-like atmosphere that results! It is a really great value, too. You can't find a gym that offers as much as this gym does for the price it charges!

I’ve come here at least 3 or 4 times as a guest. Firstly, the door is locked from the inside, you need a key. That means when you bring your guests, they need you to let them in AND out of the gym. I felt like I was being watched every time I was there, by the employees. The gym equipment is always dirty. It seems as though they rely on the customers using the sanitary bottles and rags to clean anything in the gym. The mats were tattered and cannot be sanitized properly, therefore cannot be used. It’s ridiculously overpriced. I expected much, much better for Poulsbo. I’ve lived here my whole life, and have gone back to this gym multiple times as a guest (which I paid $10 each time for) in hopes that I was being too judgmental and it would be different. I have been sorely disappointed every time. I would rather drive to Planet fitness in Bremerton than come here again.

This review is specific to the personal training done by Arthur. It is very rare in Kitsap that gym employees actually look the part. You often find individuals that look like they don't use any of the services they're selling. Arthur is a diamond in the rough. This man WALKS THE WALK. His physique is exactly what you want to see when finding a personal trainer. He's is backed by high level degrees and certificates. His knowledge extends far beyond the gym and into the kitchen. I have utilized many gyms in this area and have yet to find somebody as knowledgeable, dedicated, and accredited as Arthur. I would definitely reccomend his services to those seeking a personal trainer.

Beautiful space to workout in with friendly staff and community. Limited equipment that is consistently breaking and not maintained/repaired.
It saddens me to move onto another gym because I enjoy the space and the people (and it’s 24hr access)! But they’ve had one working spin bike between their two locations, and it’s been like this for years. They recently redid a walkway downstairs, but have been seriously neglecting their equipment maintenance and almost everything squeaks, gets stuck, or is broken. Broken seats and cables aren’t marked-out for safety (not even a post-it note), and that equipment stays on the floor indefinitely. Weight plates are cracked and still used. Even the bathroom doors don’t lock. Because most machines aren’t working, there’s usually a wait for free weights (and the stuff that does work) and quick sets can take a long time - even with 10 people or less in the gym.
I’ll come back and try snap again in the hope that they can focus less on sales/personal training and more on providing basics. I can’t invest monthly dues and club enhancement fees without having access to basic working equipment, when there’s better options for 1/4 the price nearby. I also don’t want to hurt myself. Please fix your stuff so I can come back someday!

Ok by default because the option for gyms is extremely limited in Poulsbo. The staff is friendly and the facility is usually clean. I enjoy the 24 hr access but the layout, setup around a converted showroom, and equipment is a bit lacking. Most of the new equipment goes to the Silverdale location, I'm assuming to compete with the YMCA but that location seems to get far less foot traffic. The latest and greatest equipment should go to Poulsbo since it would be utilized by more people.

Wonderful staff. Good facility with everything I need. Very reasonable prices. Arthur and Laura are amazing as is the rest of the staff. They do offer personal training sessions that are just as good as anywhere else. Couldn’t ask for much more. If you need to be coddled and need your hand held, like some of the Bainbridge Island community for example, this may not be the gym for you. Ignore the people yelping on Yelp. I never trust people in that platform. Bunch of complainers. I’m guessing they are from BI.

I started going to Poulsbo Snap about a year ago. Location was close and I wanted to get stronger to improve my mountain bike riding. I started lifting using a book with a written program. I got stronger but due to a knee injury my legs were not growing in size evenly. I watched Cesar Gonzales with some of his clients each morning and finally asked for his help. He has helped me balance my muscle mass, maintain my muscle mass while losing fat. He has taught me so much about how to lift , proper form and nutrition. He cares about his clients and genuinely listens to you when you have concerns. I have improved my mountain biking skills with no knee injuries this year due to Cesars help.

The best gym on Bainbridge Island, that's thankfully in Poulsbo.

Safe, clean, relatively convenient. Twenty minutes from the front door timed with off-peak traffic.And most country clubs where you want to chat up others are a distraction and you pay extra for that "bonus". I don't look at a gym as some social occasion.

And there are no "kings of the gym : "I'm performing sets!", as they hog a station for twenty minutes, ten of which are looking at themselves in the mirror.

Been going here for about a month and a half. Staff is friendly enough. Has decent equipment. Facility can be a little crowded. Okay price 40$ a month and like a 30$ sign up fee. No lockers 😔

edit: removed a star due to cancellation complications. I emailed requesting cancellation, no reply, I called, they emailed cancellation form, I filled out form to email back, forgot to attach to email, but I requested confirmation, received none, called and was told everything was okay. Was still charged, sent cancellation form again with explanation, they refunded money. Would have all been avoided if they would just have sent me a confirmation email in the first place.
