My daughter loves this place. She vibes more with some coaches than others. Her favorites are Coach Williams and Coach Jasmine. They are both great with kids and give excellent instruction on using the proper technique.

Horrible experience. Never come here. My daughter was injured several times during the one week camp. But the worst of it was when my dad was on hospice and my husband was in surgery with a broken hip. We arranged for her to go home with a friend. She was part time. They wanted to charge us a full of full time for the one day when we needed help. They are just in it for the money. Zero compassion.

My daughter has been going here about a year and she loved it until she got to a class level where her being a 1st grader and being in a class with a bunch of 5th graders led to her and another little girl being bullied. The other mother and I talked to the coach cause it got to the point where neither girls wanted to attend anymore. They were told they were stupid, to shut up, that they weren't friends, not to talk to them, to go away and ignored. It is 1 coach to 10 girls and she can't focus on everything that is happening. When it came time to renew for another session she said she didn't want to be around any of the mean girls. We have switched to Inland NW gymnastics and it accommodates for focus time for each student and smaller class sizes so they don't get missed. The instructors are also older and not kids right out of school so that's beneficial for them being there consistently instead of having sub coaches multiple weeks in a row. The coaches we have had have been nice, they seem to be just young and have too many kids.

I would honestly not go to this business especially with the YMCA being much more friendly and affordable.
My husband deployed last minute so he was no longer able to watch our two month old while my daughter and i did the little one’s gymnastics class so i called to explain the situation on saturday
I had signed up for the class thursday evening so it was a quick turn around as we were blindsided
Also for reference the class would start tuesday so this is all before her class would’ve taken place
they said they would call me back monday but i had to call multiple times to get that to happen
When i finally got a call back i told im gonna be charged a drop fee, not get the membership fee back, and that i have to wait to get a survey to fill out to then be sent a partial refund check by them. They still haven’t sent me the survey btw and it’s been hours and i know the gym is closed so they should have down time to do all that
So no matter what: They are too busy to answer phones, call back, or send emails. And these classes cost hundreds of dollars and they are too busy to spend 2 minutes doing something. But they told me i needed to hurry up when it came to the survey.
Let me be clear we’re talking all of this happened this fast: i signed up late Thurs, friday personal news dropped, saturday i called them and husband was already gone and they said they would call me back, monday i called multiple times to get a call back just to end up with the conclusion that i will get an email to take a survey to get a check for part of my money.. And the class date would be on tuesday so its not like we’ve attended or anything it hasnt occurred yet.
They did offer to let me use the credit later but we do not have much time left in this area so that would still just be a waste of money for us and i tried explaining that. Oh and because i asked for a refund because of a crazy life event i am prohibited from signing up for stuff for an amount of time (i forgot how long that lasts but that is still insane)
Anyways. Just go to the YMCA. these people aren’t very understanding or nice and it’s way too much money and life is way too short to deal with this. There’s no human aspect to the way they run this business.

Up until this year we have had a great experience with Spokane Gymnastics. The coaches have been great. We've been with them for years. The General Manager, Sam, is incredibly unprofessional, rude and lacks any type of accountability. I'm utterly frustrated that we are paying $354 a month on top of competition fees, travel fees etc and Sam could be so rude and unprofessional. He has belittled my family and interrupts people and he speaks over people. In my call today you could hear his deep breath sarcastic eye rolls. Let me add that this call was listened to by a third party unbiased individual who was flabbergasted by him. He refuses to even accept that his tone can be perceived as unprofessional and rude. I've asked him to provide the owners contact information and he has yet to provide but they welcome feedback. There's no apologies no accepting that there's a possibility he's unprofessional. He needs customer service training, how to professionally write an email training and to humble himself.
Update! Sam kicked my child off the gymnastics team right before state because he lacks basic communication skills and accountability! Also to this day I'm still waiting for contact information for the owner of which Sam refuses to provide!
Update! I spoke with Sara, Chief Strategic Officer for Spokane Gymnastics. First and foremost the call was absolutely a waste of time. Sara had her mind made up regarding the situation and was unwilling to listen to our perception of the way we’re treated. There was no listening to understand or come up with a solution. Sara stated that she’s an ethics professor but yet she failed to search out truth, failed to seek for a resolution and failed to seek for justice. She blatantly outright stated that my child was kicked out in retaliation of my google post. When a reasonable person would search for truth and knows that truth is in the middle. There’s our perception, their perception and reality of which is being ignored. It also seems that if there was a communication breakdown after 8 years of us being with the gym, you would want to sit down and resolve the issues instead of punishing an innocent 8 year old child as retaliation. Furthermore I’m still waiting for the owner to contact us. I’ve asked numerous times for the owner to contact me to resolve this given the fact that we’ve been a client for years. We were even told that just because made state doesn’t mean she would be invited to compete which is another implied direct retaliatory action against a child because there’s a lack of problem solving skills by the gym.

Spokane gymnastics does not honor their policies. They wait listed one of my children, and then sent an email saying he was in. I followed up with a phone call to confirm. Confirmation was received on that call. 3 weeks later, just before the class was to begin, I received an email saying my child was still on the wait list. When I spoke to Manager Shayla, she acknowledged that 2 separate employees made mistakes when they sent the email and told me over the phone my child was in. She told me that she'd refund my deposit, or that they'd keep it for a later class. When I requested the refund, she told me that I may never be allowed back to their facility. Bad business, particularly for loyal return customers!

Before you look at the length of this post and just say not worth the read, I strongly encourage people to take the time to see I am not some angry person with a grudge. My grievance is founded in experience and knowledge. I brought my daughter to this school because it was fairly affordable. I fully understand now I get what I pay for.
Lets start with some history. My daughter is 8 and had NEVER done gymnastics, at all.
The class started in a bit of reverse order. Instead of starting with stretching, they started with going over/under balance beams; perhaps to warm up before stretching, not really sure. They then spent about 5 minutes stretching. Side note: all the while they were warming up and stretching, there was a sweet little girl sitting with I am guessing was her mom. It was a perfect opportunity for the coach to engage the child but she did not. She did nothing to try and include the kid.
Now, at this point I would think they would talk a bit about how much experience the kids have, or let them do tumbling, mat work, or something simple. Nope... straight to the spring board. At this point, I told my friend and another parent that this won't end well. We chuckled. The coach lined the kids up, then the coach ran, sprung, landed on the raised platform, and said "just like that". Now here is the perfect chance to talk to the kids, introduce them to the spring board, coach them on how to use it, approach it, and do some small practices... Lets remember, that these kids are all beginners with 0 experience.
That is not what happened. The coach said "OK, line up kids" As excited kids will do, with no instruction whatsoever, the children began. The very first kid ran full speed, stepped on the spring board and launched himself face first into the platform. The next attempts by other kids were not much better. When my daughter attempted the spring board, having never seen one before, she got her foot caught on the board, was able to jump onto the platform, but immediately got off and began crying in pain. The coach had her try and put her foot down, then had her go sit down. She got an ice pack thinking my daughter was being over dramatic. Instead of talking to me (the parent) the coach tried to say that my daughter tripped over her own feet and that it was ok to be a bit clumsy her first time around. When I asked my daughter if she was ok, she said no. As her parent, I knew something was wrong. A trip to the ER revealed no breaks, but did show an immediately noticeable low ankle sprain that has her in a wrapped boot for 4-6 weeks. Not something an ice pack is going to help.
So, here is some history so people know I am not just an overreacting parent. I have over 20 years instruction experience in martial arts. While I am not a gymnast, the relationship between gymnastics and martial arts is not a far leap. The instruction provided by the coach, who had to be barely out of high school, was immensely inadequate, incompetent, and absolutely unprofessional. Working with adults v. kids is a different approach. Working with people with no experience v. someone with training is different. The coach had no business working with anyone unsupervised. Her inability to relay proper form, technique, and instruction already related in 1 injury, with more strongly possible. The only saving grace was how quickly I was refunded. The damage to her foot will heal. The damage done to her confidence and desire to do gymnastics will take more time to heal. That is the real damage.
To the people that monitor these posts. I read other posts and saw the only responses you reply to are the negative ratings, and it is usually the same rhetoric. In some way, shape, or form, your responses have the similar theme of not our fault; it was the fault of the child, the student, the parents fault, or something to that nature. Again, as an experienced instructor, I can say with 100% certainty that the coach (Addy I think) needs better training on being a coach. She could be a great gymnast in her own right; but that does not make her a great teacher.

Very disappointed 😔 when my daughter attended their classes she got sick with Covid. We paid for a full season of classes.right before she got sick .. Then all my other kids got sick. Me and my husband got very sick also.. and it wasn’t a perfect time to attend classes so we never attended the whole season of classes that we payed for ..and with amount of money we paid when I called them to see if we have that credit of money to schedule her and they said unfortunately we cant do anything , you don't have that credit. Because she never was dismissed from those classes. I wish there was more better communications and understandings between the gymnastics and the clients. I guess we’ll be looking for gymnastic somewhere else.

Coaches are pretty friendly, mostly kids that could be a bit more professional and hands on. The front desk staff is where my chief complaint is directed. I did not appreciate their unwillingness to help, consistent bad attitude and rude demeanor. Shayla was one that was especially obnoxious. My three year old niece is attending Kats class and on her first day she was very nervous and the 3 teachers in there did absolutely nothing to try to include my niece or ease her nerves, they simply watched her struggle to find her place. I’ve been working with children for 9 years along with having my degree in early childhood education and these teachers could benefit from some of those classes on how to interact with and include all children. My niece finally joined in but only because her dad intervened and showed her how to do the moves, which is the teachers job.

There are a lot of people sending sick kids to camp and basically using it as a daycare. These camps are pricey and you'll be paying for your kid to get sick. Also there are a lot of mean kids and mean, inexperienced coaches. The camps are not worth your time and money. I'm very disappointed with the whole experience.

My 6yo son really wants to participate in gymnastics, but when I went to the office to inquire about the classes, they informed me that all the classes were girls only and they didn't have a boys only class yet. It's a class. Not a competition. There's literally no need for genders to be separated. Not sure this place is the place for us if they operate classes based on gender. Looked clean enough, though.

Super rude staff Making kids wait out in 30 degree weather before the gymnastics meet. Bad hosts. Showed up 15 minutes before event started so my daughter could stretch a little bit, you’d of thought I committed a felony the way one of the staffers were acting. Childish. The owner of the gym was super snarky and rude. While I recognize added stress of trying to host, be polite! First impressions are hard to beat.

We loved taking our kids here. There are a couple awesome coaches! But, it turned sour quickly which is SAD!
Backstory:
Our daughter was ahead of her current students in her current class, then was recommended by the coach to go up to the next level class which was on a different day and time. SO, we switch her classes and added our Son because we liked it so much here. Before signing up for the second time, Our daughter was currently on a waiting list for her school and we finally got accepted to that school after only attending two classes of gymnastics. We called the front desk on Sept 27th and asked them to switch classes for our kids but they had no openings. Therefore, we asked for a refund in order to do classes next time around which they said they would pass the info to the management team. We got no response for about 10 days or so and then I called back checking the status on October 11th. I then got an email from Shayla(seen in the picture) on Nov 2nd after one other email four days prior, stating it is basically our fault and shouldn't give us a refund because we switched classes(daughter to be switched to a more challenging class per coach recommendation), added our son and we accepted a waiting list position for a school which everyone should be in favor of. So, they ended up(still pending) saying we will get a refund but our kids are banned from ever coming back because of said events. It is sad that this business took it this far instead of being accommodating and happy for us as we were just going to enroll them in the next phase of classes.
Note* Still have yet to hear from the Owner after requesting twice to have her call me.

Spokane Gymnastics has the perfect blend of recreational gymnastics, parkour and a ninja program for kids who want to have fun, learn new challenging skills and develop a healthy body as well as a competitive program for kids who are serious about gymnastics and competition.
I was very surprised with how diligent they are with their covid precautions, constantly cleaning all the equipment and taking the pandemic seriously so that they can continue offering a safe place for kids to flourish, and doing their part to be a part of the solution rather than a thorn in someone's side.
The pandemic has been hard on everyone, and it's always refreshing to see people do the right thing, even when difficult. 👏👏👏

Spokane Gymnastics has very poor communication and professionalism. When the mask mandate was reinstated it happened to be in the middle of the summer session. The only reason I signed my child up for a session this summer was due to the previous mask mandate stopping. If Spokane Gymnastics was a professional business, they would have sent out an email prior to the new mask date stating something along the lines of "due to the reinstatement of the mandate all will be required to wear a mask. We will also not be accepting any exemptions. If you are unable to do this we will be happy to refund your remaining classes" etc.... Well they didn't do this. So I drag my children there that week, explained I had a medical exemption, only to be humiliated and embarrassed by the young staff loudly in the entryway. They had clearly been told to script "we are a private business and we can do whatever we want"...in a very disrespectful tone. So I left...My young child was sad that he wasn't able to participate that day. If they would have sent out and email prior, like a good business would have, they likely wouldn't have had that many call and cancel. It is clear that Spokane Gymnastics is only out for your money. They also make you buy a ninja "uniform", when previous sessions they did not...kiss another $25 goodbye. After this incident I had talked with a couple of other people who had similar encounters and that was last fall. Clearly, Spokane Gymnastics has not tried to better their customer service practices. In addition, I can support other comments regarding their classes with young children. Many coaches do not seem to be well trained when working with those under 5. It can be a free for all. Just take your kids to the park and save your money.

A credit was given 3/2020 due to closure. The amount we'd paid was to be doubled if we let it remain, or would be an extra 20% if we decided to take the refund then. This info came from an email directly from the owner. She also stated, in writing, that the credit would not expire and could be transferred. There were multiple problems over the next year, two seasons cancelled at the end, lax sessions, make-up days becoming unavailable, etc...that actually justified the credit.
The owner sent emails saying they would require masks, even though low contact sports aren't under the mandate; they are illegally denying service without accommodation . This happened after we'd enrolled. My 7 y/o has antibodies. Her doctor advised against a mask with natural immunity. Due to this, I requested options regarding a medical exemption, a refund, a gift card, or any other info.
Nadine failed to respond to my email, but she did speak with my husband on the phone at that time. She only repeated what she'd sent us and ignored all questions. The management seems to speak from a script that doesn't necessarily apply instead of actually listening to customers. The final result was that we could either get a refund of the $ remaining on the account- part of which had just been paid with Visa, get a gift card with it, or transfer to a friend. All would have worked since we've referred many people in the past. We were pretty much done with SG after the last round of overreach so the refund worked better. Nadine was asked to confirm multiple times that it would include the credit and not just the Visa charge, which she did.
Next thing I know, the 22 year old manager working the front desk had deleted all credits on our balance ledger, including the one for the charge still on my Visa. She said we'd lost the credit by requesting a refund. Again, we didn't request a refund. We requested information and Nadine offered a full refund. I never agreed to close the account or lose $249 without cause. While we had no intention of returning, as previously stated I have in writing that the credit was fully transferable and wouldn't expire. Removing it without written consent was both illegal and shady.
I tried to explain this to her but she kept speaking over me to repeat her script. The customer "service" is utterly horrendous. Admittedly, I did raise my voice slightly to cut her off and asked to speak to an adult. She refused to let me explain what the owner had said, what the email had said, or that I had screenshots and documentation of all correspondence, the accurate running balance, and the one she'd falsified. I hung up, emailed some of the info I'd attempted to state, and used the mobile number provided by Nadine in previous bulk emails she'd sent to speak with her directly.
Because I was still disgusted and concerned that I wouldn't be patient or kind, I asked my epitome-of-calm husband to call. Nadine was dismissive and on script even with him, claiming that she wasn't going to have the conversation and would just refund all that we'd paid. Great. Turned out to be another lie but not surprising.
She next emailed to ask for our address to send a check and so dramatically asked that we cease all contact. I requested the amount she intended to send since I wanted it writing, I explained that I was contacting a business owner regarding their closing of my account without consent and theft of the balance, and offered to pick up the check the next day. That's it. No personal attacks, no insults. The worst of it was the slightly raised voice on the initial call to the girl... and actual facts.
Her response was that my husband and I were not allowed to enter either of their buildings for any reason. I'm somewhere between extremely amused and shocked at the juvenile and theatrical reaction to what should have been a simple issue. She's supposed to be mailing most of the previous credit in the form of a check today. We'll see but I'm not going to let this drop if it turns out she's lying again. So unprofessional.

I have two children that have been going to Spokane Gymnastics for over a year now. The facility is very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and good with the kids. I have nothing but good things to say about them and have experience dealing with other gymnastics facitlities in the area that are not nearly as professional, to say the least. Five stars hands down, would give them more if I could.

We enrolled our 5- and 6-year-olds in Parkour with Coach Quen. He's amazing! Our kids have very different personalities, and Quen handles them each perfectly. He pushes the 6-year-old to try new things, without pushing so hard that the kid shuts down. He coaches and consoles the 5-year-old when he's frustrated. Great experience, we're signed up for a second session!

For this business to not understand that their “class” full of 3 different age groups isn’t for EVERY CHILD is baffling. Took almost 2 weeks to get our refund after 1 class and didn’t even get reimbursed fully, and to still give them business during public gym only to be turned away and our account “closed”... Last time we go there for sure!

Staff is very friendly, free play for toddlers is a blast and good way to burn some energy. We had a birthday party there and it was a hit for all ages.

Awesome gymnastics place! They have classes for all ages and a good size open floor area. They even have a separate area for the little ones as well as a parkour room. Good viewing areas for the parents as well. Additionally, they have an indoor track that is above the main floor area, which people often use to walk/run while watching their kids below.

They prefer 4+ years for ‘coach only’ classes.
Perhaps we just had a bad experience...plus the head coach wasn’t there that day:
My 3.5 year old couldn’t focus that day, he kept wondering off doing his own thing, and several times I warned him that we’ll just go home (which we did). It’s very possible that he just isn’t ready.
However, what really irritated me was the coaches attitudes and unwillingness to work with him. I noticed they would often turn their backs on him and focus on the older (4-5 year) kids. The assistant coaches were particularly irked by his behavior.
Granted there are A LOT of kids to keep track of and my kid definitely wasn’t the only one having issues, but don’t charge $50 a month if your staff aren’t willing to help out the younger ones. The age group says 3-5, but from the attitude I observed from the coaching staff, they definitely prefer ages 4+.
Perhaps they should place the 3 year olds in their own separate group?

We have 5- and 2-year olds enrolled in classes here for the last few months. We've been impressed by the attitudes of the coaches: all optimistic, friendly, enthusiastic, great with the kids. We've been impressed with the facility: it's size, the walking track which parents can utilize while the kids are in class; the cleanliness; the equipment; the new toddler area. I can't think of any improvements to suggest, not knowing anything about young gymnast development itself and having no other experience, but overall, I'm quite pleased with the facility and its staff, and will recommend it to others.

We LOVE this gym. We have two girls and visited two other facilities before we enrolled them here. They were, by a long shot, the best organized, cleanest, and with the best informed staff we experienced. The coaches work hard to make gymnastics fun for the kids while still teaching good form. The owner has consistently made it known to contact her directly with any concerns or questions. Although, we have never had any. In short, they're terrific and you can't ask for more.
