They have undergone some management and staff changes. One thing that is fantastic is that they have an autistism and child specialist there! The PT and PTAs so far have been tremendously helpful and have not skimped on any of the authorized treatments. Very grateful we have an amazing team at Stanwood Camano Physical Therapy. But, could use better appointment reminders, perhaps an automated system for that - still doesn't detract from the overall rating and goodness of the character of this establishment ;-)

I went to Stanwood Physical Therapy for pain with my left knee. The staff is very personable and professional. My therapist showed me multiple ways to address my pain, increase my knee strength, and continue to build movement capacity. I would recommend this group and hope to use them again for any further physical therapy needs.

I highly recommend Stanwood Camano PT. They really helped me with my neck pain and provided exercises that will help me now that I am done with my PT.

Joe and his staff are fantastic. I was treated for degenerative joint disease in my neck that's really just from a lifetime of bad habits regarding posture and lifting. I didn't realize just how badly I had been lifting things all my life. They were incredibly friendly while also firmly keeping me in check to make sure I was doing the exercises correctly. I'll be doing the exercises they taught me for the rest of my life. I would highly recommend them.

I was a new patient- seen once for evaluation in November. I have 4 kids, one of which is a baby- I had to cancel two appts- once because I had sick kids and the other because their bus was late and I couldnβt get to my appt in time and they suggested to reschedule because Iβd be late. I called more than once to reschedule with no call back. I finally get ahold of them today and they βhave to check if theyβll still see meβ because I had two cancellations. This was shocking to me because they were so understanding over the phone both times, and assured me weβd find time to get me in. Iβve chosen not to return to the practice because I donβt feel like they have any flexibility for unforeseen circumstances.

They are top notch. I have been going to Tina for a while and she is extremely knowledgeable. Her help has been invaluable in my improvement. Recently I have had Cheryl--and she has also been excellent. I really value the these ladies expertise as well as their approach. I was referred to this clinic and could not be happier.

My PT was great and so very helpful. The scheduling department, horrible. Took weeks after I sent in paperwork for them to get back to me. They kept scheduling appts for me without ever contacting me to see when I was available. Such a bad experience here. I would have loved to keep seeing my PT but it shouldn't be that hard to just get an appointment.

I had to physically walk in to get my appointments.
Jo, the owner, seem to be in the wrong career, maybe he should have been a mechanic, judging for the grease still visible under his fingernails. He bent my fingers beyond all bearable pain threshold, when I swore in pain he became offended and cancelled all the rest of my appointments. He did not offer any other therapy as the previous assistants had. Btw, I said sβ¦t.
Gee, I feel sorry for the rest of people who work there, what an ego maniac! π³

Love the staff here and how they treat me. I've been very pleased with the progress I've made working with them. They've taken everything into consideration when treating me. . .versus just looking at the knee, for example (or whatever body part you're there for). My experience here has been very positive. I think I've been a somewhat difficult patient, with a lot of issues. They're always positive and have helped me to remain the same. It's not been easy.

DON'T GO HERE FOR AUTO ACCIDENT CLAIMS
I have an open auto accident claim and did a few sessions here before I found out my insurance visits were up for the year. They refused to continue treatment without me paying out of pocket. This would have been fine, except they couldn't give me pricing. They said one day it may be $120 ish, the next could be over $200. Obviously when paying out of pocket this matters. So, I discontinued treatment there. This left a balance of just over $500 dollars (small potatoes for this situation) on the account. My self as well as my attorneys have been in regular contact with the team at SCPT throughout the process. A month and a half ago, they threatened me with collections. My attorney reached out and said please be patient, demand letter is almost finished. They replied saying they don't accept third party payees and the balance would go to collections regardless - if not payed in full in 2 months. I offered good faith payments to hold them off and they declined. The owner would rather get less money and damage my credit than wait to be paid in full from a legit claim that is wrapping up. Unbelievable!!!

I saw Joe and Cheryl 16 times over the course of a few months this past summer for a knee injury. I was hesitant at first as I didn't know what to expect but was put at ease pretty quickly on my first visit. They know their stuff and it shows.
They helped me regain strength in my knee so I can keep up with my young kids, which I am extremely thankful for. Before I started my visits, I couldn't even go up and down stairs without being in pain. Now I'm back to doing aerobics on a regular basis and just chased my kids around a pumpkin patch without any pain today. I will forever be grateful for their patience, their constructive feedback on my assigned exercises, and their willingness to meet me where I was at both physically and mentally. They were my cheerleaders, even on my worst days!
They varied my exercises once we felt I had gained some strength, and Joe even showed me different ways I could get up and down from the floor with my toddler, and how to correctly pick things up off the floor with a bad knee. I finished my last visit feeling confident that I could keep gaining strength and move on from my injury on my own (though I do miss going in!). Not only did we work on my bad knee, we also worked on my good knee to make sure I didn't turn out lopsided, and eventually moved to strengthening my core so that I wasn't putting extra work on my knees in the long run.
I think that people forget that physical therapy isn't going to be an easy stroll through the park. It's going to take time, commitment, and it's probably going to hurt or be uncomfortable for a while. You have to work hard to get to your goals and there's no magical pill. I can confidently say that Joe and Cheryl will help you get there, you just have to be willing to work for it, too.

I just completed my last PT session today and I felt I needed to write a review because back in February I hurt my back and could barely walk, let alone pick up my kids. I was in so much pain, my doctor finally sent in a prescription for PT to Stanwood Camano Physical Therapy. It was hard to get an appointment at first because they were so busy. The front desk staff were all very nice to help me find appointments though.
My evaluation was done by Joe, which I later found out to be the owner. I felt he sincerely cared about me as a client and was doing his best to help me. I felt very optimistic about being treated by him. I also worked sometimes with Joe's assistant, Jen and she was so friendly and caring as well.
Overall my experience has been great and I felt they always met me where I was at for the day and once I was able to do more exercises Joe was ready to throw out a lot of helpful exercises.
I am truly greatful for Joe & Jen and their help in getting me back to my life, family and work.

The place is very clean. I can see that the employees are rubing, cleaning everything. My PR squeezed me out all sweat, but i can see the results. I recommend this place for those, who are looking for professional help.

My therapists are great and helped me heal my hip and rib pain in the last six months with techniques that worked like magic. I still have upper back pain and my doc recommended surgery. I have full confidence they can help me fully heal through this next phase too. Right now I'm on the standby list and make one appointment at a time until the next plan for surgery prep and recovery. I'm so grateful to SCPT for their expertise and ability to help me live pain free, improve my physical health overall, and treat me as a whole person. I have a burning desire for optimal health and SCPT is a key part of my team to help me achieve that. Thank you all at SCPT!!

Seems like they are going help, but by not able to work on their schedule they felt I was not a very good fit.
Since insurance does not cover it at full cost they are extremely expensive

I was referred by both a primary provider and an orthopedic surgeon; I worked hard to get a referral to a PT. I was able to walk in the door, but with a cane. I really need a PT program to rehabilitate. I provided my full insurance, and was optimistic. The PT who did the evaluation, was also the owner. He was insensitive, in my view, in addition to the intern, who was with him. I was TURNED-AWAY AS A CLIENT, where he told the receptionist to CANCEL all of my appointments, while I was in the waiting room after the evaluation. I was told to return when I could better move my hip, with larger range of motion. He demonstrated how I really needed to have better hip rotation, in the waiting area. I was given a piece of paper with some exercises, to go do it myself. So hundreds of dollars was paid by insurance, to get a primary and orthopedic referral, to be turned-away, and rejected by the PT clinic. In short, they turned me away while I was able to walk in the door, with a cane.

They really helped me. They stuck with me and treated my injury beyond just the joint. They went beyond by helping me understand how to prevent reinjury and gave me exercises for life.

I was having major hip problems, with my left hip aching when I walked at all, when I got up out of a chair and when I went up and down steps. After 10 sessions w/ Tina and Shelly, my symptoms are gone and I can walk for a mike or more with absolutely no ache or pain! They really know their stuff and are great at communicating about exactly what is going on and how they are trying to solve it!

Reading through some of the poor reviews, I felt a need to share my statement because people should not be treated like this. I won't give all the details of the dysfunction I had to contend with here, but I would advise to send complaints to the Better Business Bureau of WA state. Their billing services, PT services, and the proprietor's attitude are dysfunctional, substandard, chauvinistic, and sinister. They really should be reported! I did end up going somewhere else to finish my PT and discovered how substandard their PT therapies really are.

I unfortunately had very poor experience at Stanwood Camano Physical Therapy.
I'm not really sure whether Joe is a good physical therapist, he may be, but make sure you put Joe first in your life if you want to work with him.
Needing to adjust your appointments around your work schedule did not work out for me. I only saw Joe once.
Due to the character limit here I can't give all of the details, but if you want to see the whole story from my perspective I was able to leave a full account of my experience on Yelp.
The short story is I showed up for PT today and the receptionist told me at their desk that Joe had cancelled all of my appointments. I was upset by this and began crying.
Joe later showed me a print out where their system showed a no-show appointment and I explained that must have been due to the 'waiting list' appointment which never called me.
Joe told me the best thing for me to do today would be to go home. He said he would be happy to continue working together but that he didn't want to discuss what happened in the past.
I asked if he wanted to hear any feedback regarding the scheduling policies which landed us here and he said 'I think I've heard enough from you today'.
I feel humiliated and certainly not cared for. I do not feel as though Joe cared very much about my well being or how his decisions impact my life and my road to recovery.
I do want to add that one staff member (Jana) was very kind to me when I was sobbing in the waiting room. The way you treat people matters, thanks Jana for your kindness today, it was very much appreciated.

This place is amazing! They are helping my 9 year old regain range of motion in her elbow and arm after an accident. I love that they set appts for a month, call and remind you prior to the appt and the staff themselves are super friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to go the extra mile for you.
